Wren led Rosemary and Soleil through the corridors, the gynoid moving rapidly as she rushed for the noise outside. They'd survived the crash by combining Wrenm's flight and knowledge of Stardroid's to Soliel's pure power to create a protective barrier just off the floor-now-ground, and now they were rushing for the open air. While Wren had evacuated as many as possible, she'd had to take on the sort of mission a second lieutenant reallyshouldn't be given... Except she'd seen what happened on patrol and damn Soliel not actiung more, though she doubted the girl would make that mistake again. A traitor, a Maverick stole her for a set up, but Wren had entered pursuit immediately, and was still communicating with JARVIS as she moved. It was enough to0 warn Hunter HQ and Repliforce there was a hostage situation, without needing to supply much more until she was debreifed -- if she was. They could bloody well get her log from JARVIS really, her body ached and she was heaving, and for once she didn't want to just lift Rosemary and Soliel and FLY out... Somehow, it just sounded like it might break something. So instead, as they finalkly reached the exit, Wren pushed it open on foot, grimacing. Ahh...

Shje'd poured full power into helping Soliel form a working bubble of safety, and had been going at high speeds... Her core was actually low. And it kind of hurt. Wren grunted, downing an emergency pack of crackers and peanutbutter, and nodded out, frowning.

"Lady Liason, Sargeant. Higher ups from Maverick Hunter and Repliforce should be just ahead to recieve you and you should be able to debrief them immediately." She said, and snapped off a salute.

Soliel stretched, humming. That had been hell, and STUPID FLAMING DRAGON. Sadly, with Rosemary so close, she couldn't afford to employ full power, and so the young stardroid had relied on defense. Not that she'd kill, but she would maim unless needed... And killing was a last resort, even for thatMavberick. Still, learning how strong she was - that her data's sire had passed on such power - she felt good protecting with the barrier... Except the second-lieutenant had definately overdone it helping bring itup and holding the barrier. Still, her thrusters were a good focal point for the extra oomph and to link to it to float... Still. The idiot wasn't being left alone. Soliel didn't want Shadow or her commander riding her a**. She had Alexander and Sami to worry about as it was, and she grumbled, dragging the worn brunette after as she crooned to Rosemary, sclera flickering between white and black, and as her body occasionally arced with an irritated flame.

"C'mon Rosie. Almost home, okay?"

Rosemary had only wanted to pick up a present for her General-Papa that day. It wasn't supposed to be a long trip, and her only protection had been Soleil. It should have been safe, it should have been uneventful, and no-one should have gotten hurt! But one maverick had found out her family, had decided to take her, to keep General-Papa from helping people, and - and now so many people were hurt or worse, and Repliforce... she only hoped the communications had gone through, that the Hunters knew her Papa's hands were tied, that everyone she loved wouldn't be targets...

Whimpering, she kept close to the Second Lieutenant and Sergeant, keeping up as best she could. But she wasn't built for high speeds and everything had been so chaotic... she wanted to go home, she wanted this to be over, and it took all of her strength to swallow back the desire to cry and instead keep her composure as she nodded.

"R-right... let's... let's go make certain nobody's attempting anything rash..."

Soleil was the one who chose to pause, releasing Wren to turn to Rosemary, frowning.

"I'm hoping not." He admitted, but Wren nodded.

"I'm in touch with JARVIS already and sent word when I noticed trouble, Rosemary." Wren addressed her more as her cousin, choosing to forgo protocol to instead address her cousin's fear.

"Alex is already coming, too, so you can have cuyddles there too." She smiled, Soleil making a noise of approval before a glint of blue announced X's arrival, the blue armored android rushing up and panting as he fussed, letting go of one Alexander Liught's hand. Had he been somewhat truamatized by a panicking angry Alkex?... Maybe.

Maybe.

"Is everyone alright? I think Repliforce is coming soon, I heard they were here what happened? Magma said Repliforce was bringing the City down but then we heard about Rosemary so that can't be right..."

X was now panting to catch his breath, searching for the answe3r before Wren gestured.

"Magma Dragoon was posing as a Hunter to frame them from what I could assess. JARVIS has my visual-audio logs already, he's preparing it for transfer." Wren drawled tiredly, and rubbed her chest as Soliel nodded, snapping a salute at X, who reached to pat an errant flame out as it ignited.

"Correct. Though... Why frame us?" At that, Soliel looked confused, X blinking and shaking his head.

"I'm not sure... Maybe I'll ask wqhen everyone is together."

Still, he was relieved. He just got Vile home and cured after Dopplertown, his poor wayward boy. He didn't need to march into another war until his son was back on his feet!....Vile wouldn't forgive him. Again,.

Alex was not a particularly happy person right now. Not only was his family - adopted out, perhaps, but still family - in danger, but people on both sides of the starting-to-boil conflict were already trying to escalate things into a war when there didn't need to be one. No, Repliforce wasn't trying anything, how could they when one of their own had been taken hostage?

Yes, the Hunters only wanted to do their job but they could wait five minutes to make sure there was a job to do!

... X may have suffered a few angry pokes to the side on the way here. Okay maybe more than a few.

With an unhappy yelp, the brunet stumbled forward and threw his arms around the little Liaison officer and then his cousin in turn, shuddering. "Are you both alright?"

Rosemary's answer to that was a nod, and then a frown as she looked at X. "...I trust the Hunters recognize when an organization has its hands tied by a hostage situation?" She asked, and thought privately she did very well at keeping her composure, apart from a little wobble in her voice toward the end. Once the Repliforce leaders arrived, however, she knew all bets were off: holding her composure then would be just too much for her to manage.

And speaking of that arrival, one such leader was finally here, looking a little stressed around the eyes but otherwise composed as always. (Iris was fine, Wren was... worn-looking but fine... now, so long as there would be the opportunity to prevent an all-out war, Colonel would be able to breathe soon.)

"I do, but I also have orders to ask some questions." X said softly, and he stroked Rosemary's hair in a gentle gesture, eyes relieved to see the liason officer present.

"My commanders arte gtoing to want a satisfactory report or have questions too... But I don;t think we'll do anything rash. Ihope." X fussed gently -- it was obvious he didn't want a war, and he nodded when Soliel immediately short a glare at him at more interrogations. Yes, yes, it was unpleasant, but X looked absolutely apologetic.

Wren winced, hugging Alex with an arm, and resumed rubbing her chest.

"Been better. Might've over-done things." Wren motioned, offering her cousin az weak laugh.

"I'm grounded though. I burnt out a bit more evacing and dealing with that flaming b*****d than I anticipated. But between Soliel and I OI think we got things mostly.... Well as good as we could."

At Colonel's arrival, though, Soliel snapped to a salute, elbowing Wren who whined, rubbing her chest again.

"No energy to snap. You do it for me."

The Stardroid groaned, but didn't get it when the bridge sagged -- only after she rubbed her face. Oh. Well.

"Or I'm down longer than expected... Alex can you get your copy of the nanite shots? IthinkI burned a plant out."

Wren chuckled, and X groaned, shaking a scolding finger.

"Bad! Don't do that! BAD!" And then he turned to Colonel and beamed, offering a handshake.

"Hello! I presume you're Repliforce's representative?" X chirped. OHGODHEWASBIG. "I only have a few questionsd if I may?"

"I am," Colonel said simply, frowning as he looked over the others gathered in the midst of this desolate wreck. "And I'll not mind answering anything you have to ask of me." So long as Iris was safe, he had no reason not to cooperate - as long as it wasn't going to lead to an interrogation and a possible declaration as a Maverick.

The very thought that he could be accused of such stung his pride, and were the lady Liaison not right there, hale and whole and able to explain Repliforce's inaction in a way he could not, things... might go far worse than they were beginning to seem right now...

Speaking of said Liaison, Rosemary accepted the comfort, but sighed and looked away. "I... can't help but think this is my fault - if I hadn't gotten myself into a hostage situation in the first place, then..." Then Repliforce could have done more about Sky Lagoon falling - could have helped more people, done the job they had been implemented to do. "I'm - sorry isn't enough, but - it's all I have to offer.."

Oops. It looked like she was losing her composure early, after all.

Alex, meanwhile, frowned and dug out his emergency nanite infusion pack (all of their family was required to carry one, it was annoying except in situations like this when it really was needed), and handed it over. "Can you maybe stop burning your plants out sometime soon, Wren? They're not exactly cheap or easy to replace, and your dad's going to freak out even worse than he already is...."

X blinked, and immediately hugged Rosemary, stroking her hair soothingly, rocking her.

"No, no miss, you can't blame yourself. Dragon was one of ours. I'm so sorry. Shhhhh.... shhhhhhhhhhh....."

X was very soft spoken, then, asking Colonel WHY Repliforce was delayed and then if he knew why Dragoon might blame them, all while rocking her. And based on tone it was forced formality-- once he'd argued command down, explaining, he lifted Rosemary, looking to COLONEL with a sad look. She was SO SCARED HELP HIM COMFORT PLEASE.

Wren took it, applying the shot rapidly before leaning on a wall, grinning thinly at Alex.

"I had no choice. People needed help, including the lady Liason. And then the damn city crashed and I had to coach Sarge on some Stardroid tier scrap and hello that to keep the Liason and evidently others alive. So not a choice I had, not sure I can make it again."

Wren wobbled to Alex, connecting systems and sagged again, huffing.

"There, see? Heroic stupid. I can hear Shadow and Flynn swearing don't worry." She disconnected, rubbing her face before Soliel looked between the superior officers, and scolded.

"With all due respect, she'd, Rosemary needs off the field and I believe the Second Lieutenant might pass out any moment. Can we take this to a medical center?" Soliel crawled. X blinked.

"Oh. Oh! Of course, ah, is Stark acceptable, Colonel? Just to make sure both everyone is ok and to get our debriefings... Plus Stark won't tolerate any interlopers like command."

It was partly for Colonel as well-- a human vouching for Repliforce was of benefit.

"But he wouldn't have targeted me if I had been more careful!" And her composure threatened to shatter into a wail as Rosemary buried into the hug, accepting the gentle hunter's offer of comfort as she tried hard not to cry.

Colonel, meanwhile, explained in brief, what he could, then equally quietly, he suggested contacting Rosemary's father - and, if he would not be held as a maverick, encourage him to meet them as well. "Stark Tower? Of course - the medical center there is best equipped to look after the Second Lieutenant, after all." Being the lab where her father worked out of, how could it be anything else?

Alex was still softly fussing over both Wren and Rosemary, looking between the two like he wanted to hug them both at once, despite knowing he couldn't. "...I think we all need away from this place, myself. There's too much pain and suffering here."

Of COURSE he was welcome - X wasn't foolish, and Sami was not the best when her pride in someone was involved. The 0th Hunter all but cooed about Rosemary's adoption out and how good she was, and since Rosemaru was built there -- well maybe General and Tom would help the poor dear more than X, although X was QUITE happy to cuddle until then, and he stroked her hair.

"Sweetie, it's fine." X soothed. "I know that face, miss. And I will think no less if you want to cry." X nodded, and picked her up, nodding to Colonel before motioning to Alex, and teleported to Stark.

Admittedly, once there it seemed JARVIS had planned ahead for possibilities -- General was indeed waiting with Tom, the massive Reploid wringing his cap in worry. THEIR BABY NEEDED THEM COMPOSED... Except neither General nor Tom were composed.

By the time the others arrived, Soliel was back to security, strolling in and snapping to salute her leader, before her snorted. No more duty for the three soldiers TODAY. Not after such horror, and he motioned, a blue-haired woman peering, then looking back.

"SUNNY! SOLIEL'S HOME!"

Wren, about the time they returned, was an absolute ragdoll, mostly reacting.

"...Bleagh."
