Arin had told him what he was going out to do that evening and while Luc wasnt worried, Arin could handle himself, he still decided to stay up and wait for his lover to get home. He's cleaned up after dinner and after going over his schedule amd replying to some emails settled in the couch to watch some tv. Lucien was proud of Arin, proud of Mag Mell, even if he didn't always agree about how to deal with the Negaverse. He was still wresteling with the concept that you didn't have to kill all of them, that some could he saved. It was hard to grapple with but if some weren't saved he wouldmt have Arin. He would he an a*****e, more of one, if he denied someone else what he had with Arin. Arachne being selfless though? That was a new one. He checked the time when one of his documentary episodes finished and pondered texting Arin. It wasnt that late though amd he didn't want to be an a** about things.

He'd remained powered until he was several blocks away from where he'd left Arachne and Almandine, waiting until he could confirm that he was entirely alone before powering down. Fortunately he wasn't far from the apartment he shared with one Luc Carden and it was easy to plot a course back once he had his bearings (thanks phone GPS). It was late, but not too late-- late enough that Luc could be asleep, or napping on the couch, he supposed. He knew that wouldn't be the case, though. As much trust and faith as Luc had in him, he knew that the other man wouldn't sleep until he knew that he was home safely. Thinking about that was enough to keep him warm on the brisk walk back to the apartment where he paused outside the door to rub his hands together before fumbling his keys out of his pocket. He was going to have to invest in a new pair of gloves if the nights continued getting cooler, which he knew they would. Arin nudged the door open, dropping his keys onto the table by the door as he then knocked it shut and locked it behind him. He ran his fingers back through his hair, fluffing it a bit before peeling his coat off, hanging it up next to the door. Only then did he glance towards the living room as he toed off his shoes, grinning as he spotted Luc on the sofa. "Watching anything good?"

He smiled when he heard keys in the door, finally able to stop worrying. There had been no reason for it but knowing Arin was home was a good weight off his shoulders. "Documentary on astronomy. Its pretty neat. Made some iced tea if you want something to drink." Luc wanted to know how things went bit needed to at least let Arin get in the door. He didn't look anything bad happened so that was a good sign.

"Mm... Might make some hot tea, actually." He was considering it, at the very least. More than that, however, he was strongly considering just flopping down on the couch next to Luc. Or half on top of him... Something. Anything, really, if it would bring him closer to the other man. He wandered over to the couch, leaning over the back to brush a kiss to the other man's temple while lightly resting his hands on Luc's shoulders. "Cocoa also sounds like it might not be a bad idea... Little bit of Irish cream? We still have some from that bottle Cordelia left here when the two of you were baking, right?"

"Mm, that does sound like a good idea." Lucien smiled, reaching up to tug gently at a bit of Arin's hair before running his fingers though the silvery strands. "Should be some of that left, I think it's in the cabinet with the few other bottles we have? Maybe make one of the bigger mugs so we can share?" He didn't want a whole cup to himself, was honestly more interested in Arin curling up with him than the coco, but he knew his lover usually liked having something warm to drink before he actually settled down for the night. "Your hair's cold, it start snowing yet or just freezing out there?"

"It does... But the kitchen is all the way back there," he murmured as he leaned down a little bit further, hands sliding from Luc's shoulders slowly along the other man's arms. His lips drifted from Luc's temple to his cheek before he pushed himself back up with a low groan. "Not snowing, no, but someone's got an affinity for rooftops and it was a bit cold up there." Fortunately he had a cloak when roaming Destiny City as Mag Mell. Even more fortunate was the supernatural resistance to the elements that seemed to kick in for a little bit-- hadn't helped much with the walk home as a civilian, however. "Nice and warm in here, though. Heat finally kick on?" His brow quirked as he stepped away from the sofa in order to head back to the kitchen.

"I think most senshi have an affinity for them. Keeps us off the ground where the Nega's are and gives us a better vantage point." He leaned his head back closer to Arin until the other man moved away. He couldn't quite get rid of the pout before it formed but a warm drink would be good if Arin had gotten cold on the way home. Even if he'd rather just drag the other man under the blanket on the sofa and snuggle to warm him back up. "Didn't kick on for long but yea a bit. Have a feeling it will overnight too, supposed to get pretty cold." He sat up a bit as he spoke, pulling the blanket off the back of the couch so they could make use of it once Arin came back.

"Did you get the extra blankets out of the closet?" he called back over his shoulder as he rounded the bar into the kitchen. He drew his favorite mug out of the cabinet, filling it with water from the pitcher in the fridge before popping it into the microwave. He set the timer, leaning against the counter to peer back towards the living room as the time ticked away. "Don't want to have to fight you for blankets again if you decide you're cold," he teased, tone light. He still wasn't going to let Luc live it down the night they'd turned the AC down to cool things off after a power outage, forgetting to turn it back up before bed. Luc had somehow cocooned himself in the sheets during the night and he'd woken up cold, leaving his partner to find him under one of the couch's throw blankets come morning. When the microwave chimed he drew the mug out, turning his attention away from teasing the other man to focusing on prepping the hot cocoa.

"Yes, two blankets over here in case we fall asleep so you don't complain." He laughed softly. He had warned Arin early on that he was a blanket hog and that had yet to change. They had extra blankets on the bed for the same reason and he often found himself curled into one with Arin wrapped around him and the blanket. "Think we're gonna fall asleep out here instead of making it back to the bed before we finally crash?" It was a good thing that they had an extra wide couch given how often they did end up falling asleep on it.

He laughed at that, shaking his head slowly as he finished mixing the cocoa, adding a touch of the Bailey's to top it off. He returned to the sofa with the cup in hand, holding it out to the other man so that Luc could take it as he settled in next to him. "I'd prefer making it back to bed. These jeans aren't the most comfortable to sleep in." He leaned over, brushing a kiss to the other man's temple. "Figured we'd finish this up, you could ask whatever questions you've been cooking up and then we'll head back to bed."

"Sure you're ready for me to start asking questions?" He smirked, taking a sip of the coco while Arin settled. Once Arin was settled on the couch with him he handed back over the coco and settled against his lovers side. He didn't think anything had gone wrong since Arin had come home alright and didn't seem like he was upset. But he couldn't be quite sure. "Things went alright? Nothing strange going on and the corrupt seems like .. they really do want to switch sides?" He knew there was no way to tell you could trust someone in one meeting but Arin seemed like he was pretty good at reading people.

"Things went-- Well, I'd say that they went as expected, but I'm not really sure what I was expecting going in to it." He took the cocoa as it was passed back to him, bringing the mug up to his lips to take a small sip. The temperature was just right, sending warmth through him as he settled in. "He wants to switch sides, although for a minute or two I wasn't sure once I brought up memories and the effect the whole process can have on them." He took another sip from the mug before holding it back to his lover to see if Luc wanted another sip or if he should set it down for the moment. "I might have played a dirty hand once I picked up on the something going on between he and our mutual friend; pointed out how being tied to Chaos makes it harder to see what's right in front of you." His hand came up, fingers running slowly through choppy locks of hair. "The two of them are cute in that new, uncertain way... And Lys has been through a lot." A good bit of it thanks to him. "He's going to need some guidance and support switching sides. If anyone can help him though, it's Lys along with the support he's got from the rest of us."

"I would think anyone with half a brain would pause for a bit when hearing that you lose part of your memories." Lucien took the cup back as it was handed to him, taking another sip of the coco. Losing memories was a rather simple price to pay for no longer being in the Negaverse. Much better than being dead given that he knew he wasn't the only one out there who'd happily off anyone corrupted if given the chance. It was still strange thinking of Lysander as being responsible for anyone, or about anything, but he did have o admit he didn't really know the other man all that well. "So Lys is taken with the senshi? Enough that you noticed?" Having another senshi on their side wouldn't be a bad thing but it was going to take osme work depending on what the senshi already knew. At least, maybe, he could work with this new one and Erato at the same time.

"The two of them were holding hands almost the entire time we were talking to one another. I knew there was something, just from talking to him before agreeing to the meeting, but I didn't realize just how much of something." Given what he'd put Lysander through himself, he hoped that this turned out better for him. He hoped that Almandine, and whoever the senshi would become once purified, wouldn't let Lys down or hurt him. He leaned back against the sofa, reaching out to lightly take hold of Luc's hand. "I told him that it was worth whatever memories are lost; that it's better off being able to see the light that's right in front of you as opposed to drowning in darkness." He wouldn't trade anything for what he had now; the new memories making up for everything he'd lost.

"You know I don't have the best opinion of Lys but he does at least seem to be a good judge of character." Lysander had seen something in Arin early that the rest of them had missed. "You think he's jumping into something or think he's thought about all of this enough?" His fingers curled around Arin's when he felt a hand slid into his, giving the other man's hand a squeeze. "For what it's worth I am glad you found your way out of the darkness. Even if it messed up a lot of things for you. I can't ... I don't want ot imagine what it would be like without you."
