"We'll have to hope the cosmos thinks I'm the important part to remember. I'll still be here either way." ------------------------------------- Arachne had managed to drag his attention away from Almandine long enough to thank Mag Mell for everything and bid the Knight a good night. He didnt want to be rude, even if it had been hard to turn away from Alma. Mag Mell was going out of his way to help them with all this. He was eternally grateful that even after all the s**t they'd done to each other the Knight was willing to be his friend. He'd have to thank him again later. For the moment though he was distracted by the Senshi still holding onto him. "You good? Seemed a little tense there for a moment. I promise Mag Mell is safe, wouldn't have brought you too him if I didn't think he was." Arachne would have been tempted to say Almandine was a bit jealous of how friendly he was with the Knight but he couldn't say for sure. "And you're good if I kiss you again? Cause I want to."

He had also thanked Mag Mell for his assistance, but without the ability to take his attention entirely off of Arachne in the process. And while Almandine was very grateful for the knight's assistance, he couldn't help but feel a little relieved that the night hadn't quite ended yet.
Especially since the two of them were now, thankfully, alone.
Almandine's fingers slid along Arachne's wrists. "I wasn't...really sure how to respond sometimes," he admitted, swaying forward slightly as a breeze drifted lazily past them in the dark. "It's all a bit overwhelming. But...yes. He was...very helpful."
Helpful, but he wasn't here anymore, and the prospect of a kiss made Almandine's expression lighten almost immediately, a small, private and rare smile tugging at his lips as he looked up at Arachne.
"Please?"

"Just don't think you have to rush things. Probably a lot to take care of before everything happens." If Alma was going to forget his civilian identity they would likely have to help him build a new one. He'd need a place to stay and friends, and the ragtag band of Senshi Arachne knew to help him understand things. It seemed daunting but it was the right thing to do. Almandine derseved better than the Negaverse. "Do you have any idea how ******** cute you are?" He laughed softly, not really expecting an answer, before tilting Almandine's jaw so he could press his lips to the other senshis. He had wanted to do this all night so finally being able to was a blessing.

Almandine shook his head, just a little; there was the faint sound of bells from the straps at his hips. "I'm not going to rush it. I don't want to take the chance of something going wrong, or of something happening."
Like forgetting Arachne, or forgetting something important. Something happening to Arachne - maybe Mag Mell would step up in his place if he didn't get things done the way they were supposed to. Almandine still felt the strange, unpleasant twisting sensation in the pit of his stomach at the very thought.
Arachne's voice drew him out of his inner thoughts, the touch of gloved fingers against his jaw making his lashes flutter. Almandine didn't have a chance to answer, instead swaying forward into the kiss, warmth and pleasure spreading through him. His hands moved, slid down Arachne's sides until Almandine could wrap his arms around his waist and press himself closer, head tilted to meet the kiss.
He could feel the wary tension easing away just from this. This wonderful, close, simple thing that made him feel so good.

Arachne smiled as he felt the tension easing out of Almandine's body. He was still pretty sure there was something else that had caused the tension but he wasn't going to press the issue. At least not now. That was something he could press the other about when he didn't have better things to do. Better things like sliding his arms around Almandine's waist and settling into the kiss. He liked the way Alma leaned in against him and how he seemed to practically melt into things between them. It was flattering in a way he wasn't used to. People falling for him wasn't something new but Alma was different. It felt special somehow that the corrupt senshi wanted him as much as he seemed to. It was almost like taking some sort of drug. One he had no interest in giving up any time soon.

It was so easy to let himself fall into this, to let himself not think about anything but the feel of Arachne's arms moving around him, the press of his own body against his broad chest, the heat of his mouth, the steady movement of his lips. It was like taking a breath of fresh air, head breaking the surface after having been underwater.
And Mag Mell -
Almandine lifted a hand from Arachne's waist, gloved fingers sliding into his hair as he parted his lips to deepen the kiss of his own accord this time, wanting - needing - more. Then he pulled back, just a fraction, enough to move his mouth to Arachne's jaw, brushing a kiss there - then a little further up, his hand sliding down to hold onto the back of Arachne's head.
He was moving on instinct, and emotion - two things he wasn't familiar with at all.

"Where did my shy little senshi go?" Arachne's voice was soft as his head tipped back. The feeling of Almandine's lips on his jaw, the way Alma's fingers tugged at his hair, sent a flood of warmth through him he was far too familiar with. His fingers curled into the fabric over the other senshi's hips to steady himself. His lips were going to suffer where he bit them to stifle a rather embarrassing sound. Stopping the other before things went too far was probably a good idea but Arachne wasn't used to denying himself and it had been [way too long. He could let this continue for a bit .... Alma wouldn't go too far.

For once, Almandine didn't answer; he was too intent on what his head was working towards, what his body instinctively was doing. He could still see the look on Mag Mell's face when he had talked about finding the light; could still see the way he had turned and looked at Arachne as he'd said it.
He didn't want that. He didn't like that, in a way that made him feel frustrated, though he couldn't have explained why that was. It was an inexplicable feeling of disappointment and dismay as well, something that curled unpleasantly through him.
Arachne's uniform was something high collared, impressively intricate. Almandine's hand in his hair carefully shifted, tilting Arachne's head as his lips moved up Arachne's jaw, then down again. Fingers shifted, tugged at the lacy fabric as Almandine nudged his face into the expanse of tender skin where jaw slid into throat
- and then he bit down.
Not painfully hard, but enough to be a little bruising, a little n**. Almandine pressed lips and tongue gently against the spot almost immediately, soothing it, then leaned back to look at Arachne, eyes a little dazed, his face a little flushed. His fingers slid out of Arachne's hair so that both hands came to rest on his shoulders instead.
He didn't say anything, but licked his lips, satisfied that he'd done what he'd set out to do somewhere in the back of his mind.

For a moment Arachne wasn't quite sure what the other senshi was getting at when he felt Almandine tugging at his collar. Or at least he didn't know why Alma was trying to get at things. That was at least until he felt teeth against his skin. The sensation of Almandine biting him, even if it wasn't hard, was enough to get a soft groan from him as he realized what his little deer was doing. With their accelerated healing he didn't even know if the mark would last until morning but for the moment he could feel the slight sting and the warmth where Almandine had left a mark on his skin. "That's one way to tell him I'm yours." Arachne laughed softly, tilting his head back down so he could see Alma. He almost couldn't believe the other man had done that, did Alma even know what a hickey was?

It gave him a warm, unexpected, shivery sensation to hear that groan escape Arachne's lips. Almandine's eyes were half lidded as he lifted them to look at him, feeling his cheeks growing warmer and not knowing how to stop that, or if he even wanted to.
His hands moved, slid over Arachne's shoulders, down his arms, then came to rest on his waist again before sliding around to his back, fingers clasping together at the small of it. Almandine pressed himself close, eyes searching Arachne's, his expression slightly dazed.
But there was a need there, as well. One he wasn't as familiar with.
"You are," said Almandine. "Mine."
Simply, as though this was an obvious and irrefutable fact, though even as he said it, Almandine's brows drew together in clear confusion at his own words. He didn't know where they had come from, what he had even done, why he had done, except...
"Aren't you?" he asked.

He watched as Almandine's expression changed a few times before the corrupt senshi's hands finally settled and he spoke again. Arachne wasn't used to things like this. Sure he was used to casual flings and teasing and everyone having a bit of fun. He wasn't used to fumbling and unsure emotions and desires. Hell even when he'd been a teenager he'd been so sure of himself and what he was doing it hadn't come across much of it. But here he was. Probably half in the same boat as Almandine not knowing quite what he was feeling or why. He also wasn't used to hearing someone call him theirs outside of some pre-negotiated slightly kinky fun either. Hearing Almandine saying it like it was just true was different though and he felt something he didn't want to question too hard curl in his chest. "Yea," He murmured in response, leaning in to lightly brush their lips together. "All yours." The words didn't feel wrong, or fake, or playful this time and he really wasn't going to think about why that was.

He wondered if he wasn't supposed to ask things like that. All of the books Almandine had read had said that communication was important, and that so was physical intimacy if that was a thing that both parties were comfortable with. Almandine had moved on instinct to n** at Arachne's neck, and it had seemed right at the time, but now he wasn't so sure.
Maybe Arachne didn't want to be his.
Maybe this was just....something. A temporary something.
He didn't like that.
The soft murmur - the quiet concurrence - made something in Almandine's chest leap. His eyes fluttered at the soft kiss, Almandine leaning into it, fingers curling into the fabric at the back of Arachne's uniform, and he didn't pull back yet, the kiss soft and warm and slow, filled with an aching tenderness that made his heart throb.
"What's Mag Mell to you?"
He hadn't meant to ask. The words had just come out as Almandine had leaned back, eyes flickering over Arachne's.

The way Almandine's fingers curled into his clothes and the way he melted into the kiss made it easier to understand why the other senshi would ask if Arachne wanted to be his. Alma didn't do things like everyone else. Depending on what he'd read, or what he'd looked into, knowing things like that up front would be easier. He hadn't expected the experienced senshi to go in instinct but he seemed to be leaning that way. It did make kissing him a bit more of an adventure. Then question he heard as Alma pulled back from the kiss ... that was why Almandine had been tense. Mag Mell's comment about the light. "Mag Mell's a friend, a good one." He reached up and tucked a bit of hair behind Almandine's ear as he met his eyes. He couldn't start lying to him now. "He's also an Ex. When we were in high school and back when he was in the Negaverse, but I didn't know at the time. We weren't ... healthy for each other." It had taken him a while to admit that to himself. He'd wanted to be Rik's savior but he'd just ended up making things worse being his stupid selfish self. "He's got an amazing partner now though, who's actually good for him."

An ex. Mag Mell was an ex.
It was somehow unsurprising, but it didn't make the unpleasantness any less. The feeling in Almandine's chest persisted, pressing out against his ribcage as though his heart was trying to expand outwards in a way it wasn't actually meant to.
His eyes flickered to Arachne's, then veered away, though Almandine didn't pull out of his arms. His head had turned a little away, hair falling across one cheek, gaze focused somewhere on a spot on Arachne's upper arm. A gentle breeze rifled the bells again, which gave a faint chime.
"But you...miss him," Almandine said slowly, and it wasn't really a question, at least not to Arachne; his voice was low, almost as though he was talking to himself. He couldn't figure this out. "You miss...being with him."

"Alma..." Arachne's voice was soft as he brushed a kiss against the other senshi's temple. That explained why Almandine had been tense, he really was jealous of Mag Mell and what had happened between them in the past. "Not quite." He tightened his arms around the other senshi as he took a careful breath. "I'm being honest with you. I miss him but not in the way you're thinking. I have good memories of being with him, we were kids messing around in high school doing things we shouldn't have been. It was fun. It felt good." It had hurt when they'd broken up, even if it hadn't really hurt until later. It still did hurt a bit but he knew it was for the best. Arin was happy now, happy with Lucien and his life, and he'd realized that he wouldn't have been happy with Arin. "We're different people than we were when we were together. He's stupidly in love with his boyfriend and I'd be miserable if I was still with him. He's not what I want anymore."
