Kolya lead the way to the Food Trucks, since he was most comfortable with knowing the way. As soon as he rounded the corner and saw the tables, Kimberly was already there with Ebony and Axel. Kolya waved and walked over, not knowing where to eat. "Are we all going to the same place, or split up?" he asked. He was unsure of how to go about things, but Kimberly was ready to step up and be the leader of the group, pleasantly so. Once she spoke, he left to try the Japanese food, as it smelled appetizing.

Kimberly had saved a table, since her major had finished fifteen minutes early due to a student being sick. She had already gotten her food, a burger from the Slider Shack. "I already have my food, so I can save the table. You guys decide what you want and come back here," she reasoned lightly. She watched the others split up, waiting to eat her food until everyone had returned. Axel and Ebony were quick, both going to the same Slider Shack she had gone to, since it was the closest. She assumed Jace might try the BBQ truck further down the line, but he might have gone for something else. She would have to see when he came back.
Jace walked over with Kolya to meet the others and waved. Kimberly already had her food and it seemed everyone was splitting up to get their own food. He set his backpack down and walked to the food trucks looking at the different ones to see what he would want. He saw seafood truck that had fish and chips which reminded him of home since that was their comfort food in Britain. He wondered if it was any good though the BBQ truck did catch his attention since he had never really had it before though there was a lot of food here that he had never tried before so he was a bit torn on what to get and the bright sun in his face was starting to bother him a bit. He sighed and decided to just get some comfort food hoping it would help ease his mind. He ordered some fish and chips and talked to the cook a bit since he caught his accent and they had a quick chat about fish and chips before he headed back to the others.
Kolya came back to the group with a bowl of udon soup with prawn tempura on the side. He sat down and waited for Jace and the others to join them before eating. He attempted to use chopsticks, but it was such a struggle for him. Kimberly handed him the cutlery she had received but not used. He felt bad for not being able to use the Asian cutlery, but he was Russian and had rarely travelled outside of home, let alone experience other cultures. This was his first time trying the udon, so when he took a bite he was pleasantly surprised.

Kimberly had watched Kolya struggle with the chopsticks and offered him her cutlery. He would be needing lessons, that was a given, but he had tried and she gave him credit for that. She noticed that Axel had gotten German food, his own culture, and Ebony was eating popcorn chicken from the BBQ shop, her culture as well. Kolya had branched almost as far as he could go, so she was impressed. She didn't want to start a conversation while everyone was eating, so she stayed quiet as everyone chowed down.
Ebony enjoyed the food she'd gotten, mostly because she was craving KFC but didn't want deep-fried food covered in grease. She munched away happily, finishing before everyone else. She let out a giggle and slurped on the milkshake she had bought as well. Strawberries and cream, yum~!

Axel had gotten German food because he'd had nothing but chicken strips and chips for a solid week since being here from his home town. He needed a good schnitzel and sauerkraut, and while he would prefer a beer with it, the tavern had not yet been completed. Some teachers were saying it would be by the afternoon, Free Time specifically. He needed a drink badly.
Jace walked back to where his friends were sitting and sat down with everyone. He started to eat and looked around as people got their food and sat around with their new classmates and friends.

Esmeralda walked to the food trucks giddy with excitement. She could not wait to tell Noah the great news about getting the leading female role. She hadnt gotten a message from him so she set him one telling him to meet her at the food trucks. She decided to wait for him and found a spot for them. She sat down unable to remove the smile from her face and she started planning out how often she would practice in her dorm. She wanted to make her teacher proud though she had to admit she wasnt expecting to get the role on the spot.

Vera had been sitting in the Foot Truck eating area for a while typing away on her computer while eating sushi. She had gotten a lot of information out of her Public Relations major and wanted to get as much of her ideas down for the assignments that they had been talking about. They weren't due for weeks, but the sooner Vera finished, the better she would feel.
She looked around her at the faces - some new and some not - and thought about all the classes they were taking. What languages they knew and what they would talk about. What students she might seek with help learning a language from scratch. She could merely hear any language spoken and understand every complexity, but she wanted more of a challenge than that. She would learn like anyone else, the old-fashioned way.

Noah had received his text from Esmeralda right before he made it there, so he didn't bother replying to it. He walked over to where she was and saw the smile plastered on her face. "Good news, I imagine?" he chuckled.
He set his bag down, heavy with the endless amounts of medical books, and waited for her reply. He was interested to hear how her major went, and if she was looking forward to her minor classes as well. He knew she wouldn't understand the medical lingo he had heard all morning in his Medical Science major, but he would talk if she asked.

Theodore had been eating some waffles with strawberries and cream before the flock of students came through. He wasn't a big social person, being quite introverted himself, so he finished his meal and departed to the library before too many more students came through. He hadn't made many friends in his Engineering class and he didn't think he would, not for a long while, but it didn't affect him very much.
He shifted his glasses, adjusting them on his nose, and scanned the crowd for the least occupied spaces to walk to avoid colliding with others. He wanted to keep his personal space as much as possible.

Esmeralda's smile widened when Noah came met up with her and she nodded her head. "Very good news! " she said and let him put his stuff down and sit. "We started auditions for Macbeth in class and I auditioned for the leading lady which is Lady Macbeth of course and I got the part on the spot" she said squealing a little with excitement at the end. "I couldn't believe it. I still can't but I'm so excited!" She said smiling. "Oh how did your class go?" She asked him.
Kolya ate his food quickly, savoring the taste. He would surely get this again, after indulging in other cultures of course. Russian food was good, but it was what he was used to. He was living in rural Canada, experiencing university, and perhaps living life out of his shell a little? "I forgot to ask how has everyone's major gone? Forensic Science was a blast," he stated.

"Creative writing was immensely fun! We got to go over all the basics of the course and the first thing we are going to do is fiction versus non-fiction in short stories. I'm looking forward to the story writing unit at the end," Kimberly said with a grin. She looked to Axel and Ebony to see who would talk next. She wondered if Hunter would join them for lunch, as he was late, but she didn't want to bring that up immediately, as it would spoil the mood.
Jace looked to Kolya hearing him ask about everyone's major. He nodded in agreement when he said forensic science was a blast as he took a bite of his fish. He looked to Kimberly next as she talked about her creative writing class. He was glad that she was excited about her class. He looked to the others to hear how their major class went.
Hunter gave a whole speak about how his art class was everything he wanted it to be and how he was expecting his minors to go the same. He finished his speech with how he wanted to spend his night before bed rewatching the Saw franchise for ideas on dark themes for drawings.

Nora was eating on her own in the back tables, her hood pulled over her head. She glanced around, between bites, glaring anyone who tried to approach. The few who did try and sit down quickly withdrew when her glare turned into a sharp death stare. She wanted to be left alone and she was fine in isolation.
Kolya laughed at Hunter's comment about the Saw franchise. "I do love horror movies, and while that's not one of my favorites, I do enjoy the films. We should do a movie marathon night in the Student Lounge sometime," he commented. "Some popcorn, a few drinks, it'd be good," he concluded.

"I can't say that I like body horror. I like a good horror movie, don't get me wrong, but I like those that have a psychological element. Alien is my all-time favorite," she replied. She wasn't good with lots of blood and gore, so something like the Saw movies wouldn't make her comfortable. She wanted to see what Jace would say, surely he had some strange fascination with body horror movies. It was likely to be a boy's night thing, as Ebony would never like horror.
"I hate anything scary. I couldn't stomach something like that," Ebony exclaimed. She nearly shouted it at first but kept quiet. She didn't like jump scares or anything like that. Thrillers were too scary for her. She liked the "girly things"; chick flicks, romances, comedies, and a tear-jerking bio-pic. Although she didn't like depressing things, so a bio-pic was always carefully chosen.

Axel merely nodded in excitement when the boys mentioned the Saw movies. While he didn't care for blood and gore, he loved a good horror movie and he loved seeing bad people get what they deserved. That was essentially the Saw movies to a tee. He had finished his food at this time and was looking around, noticing the girl in the back with a hoodie on. He avoided staring for too long and turned to the group.

Noah smiled brightly at her when she mentioned that she had secured a role in her drama major with ease. "That is incredible news, a job well done. Did you make any friends in your class? I have some people with similar career paths in mind, but I can't say we're exactly on a friendly basis yet. Medical Science is a major that takes a long time to get everything running smoothly, but I think I have a fair idea of how the assignments are to be done. I'm looking forward to my Nursing major next," he replied with a kind, soothing voice.
He looked around and noticed a girl in a hoodie in the shade of the trees. Something in his gut told him that there were underlying issues with her, not in a negative way but something troubling her. He knew better than to pry into someone's life, and he didn't have the powers to do so, but his ability to heal mental wounds was connecting to her for some reason. Some memories that were traumatic, most likely. He turned back to Esmie to see what her reaction was to his statement, wondering what class she had next.
