- Primordial Sky Dragon Slayer Magic

◎◎ Main Magic: Primordial Sky Dragon Slayer Magic [37] ◎◎

◎ A type of Magic which grants the user various characteristics belonging to a Sky Dragon, allowing them to incorporate the element of air into their body. However, unlike other types of Dragon Slayer Magic, Sky Dragon Slayer Magic can also function in a supportive light, as opposed to simply relying on offense. This Magic utilizes the lost art of healing, and is capable of healing wounds inflicted by a Dragon.

Concretely, it was enough to almost completely cure most injuries it was used on so far, and to nullify the effects of powerful poisons, and is capable of restoring the body internally and externally including a patient's fatigue and body stress, but employing such exclusive powers seems to be very tiring for the user, who can’t make use of them in consecutive reprises, nor can the Sky Dragon Slayer use their Magic to heal and restore themselves. In addition to healing, Sky Dragon Slayer Magic can also grant support in battle, by boosting allies' physical prowess. These support-boosting abilities are a type of enchantment, which effectively make a Sky Dragon Slayer double as an "Enchanter". Despite healing and support being its main abilities, this form of Magic, like other types of Dragon Slayer Magic, is said to possess great destructive power, with its offensive spells taking the form of whirlwinds produced by the user.

Being a form of Dragon Slayer Magic, the user of this type of Magic can consume external sources of air (those that are not produced by them) to restore their body and vitality. While air is seemingly easier to obtain than other elements commonly employed by Dragon Slayers, it should be noted that user of Sky Dragon Slayer Magic are directly affected by the air surrounding them, meaning that, if the air were to be clean, they would become more powerful, but if it were to be heavily polluted, they would become unable to use such Magic as a result.

BASIC SPELLS
Supportive
» Sky Dragon's Healing Spell
Sky Dragon Slayers are able to utilize a powerful healing Magic, previously believed to be long-lost. Such power has been described as being capable of healing injuries inflicted by a real Dragon. The user's power is capable of manipulating clean air, to perform various feats, such as draining poison from an infected victim. By using a lot of energy, the user can even revive people that are in a near-death state. With the use of this Magic, the user is also capable of restoring the body internally and externally including a patient's fatigue and body stress. However, it has also been noted that the user cannot heal their own injuries.

» Troia
The user generates a sphere of energy between their hands and then touches the target with it, affecting their sense of balance. In spite of its long-lasting properties, the spell's effect is only temporary, and, if cast continuously, it will become useless. The user can't cast the spell on themselves or others if they themself is suffering from motion sickness.

» Raise
A supportive spell that allows the user to negate any spell that has an effect on their, or the target's, body. This spell can be cast on multiple targets.

» Regen
Using a trace amount of the Healing Spell, the user can bestow their ally with a constantly healing effect. Being gradually healed for a short duration (3 posts), the person affected can be spared from fatal injuries and fight off poison.

» Free-Flight
Sky Dragon Slayers are masters of the skies and by utilizing this spell, they can return to their domain without the need for wings.

Offensive
» Sky Dragon's Roar
The user quickly gathers and releases a large quantity of air from their mouth in the form of a tornado-like blast. This spell is presumed to be very powerful; enough, in any case, to destroy one of the Lacrima crystals powering Nirvana and match Sherria Blendy's own breath attack. The user is also able to combine this attack with a healing spell to counter an attack, healing the target, and, for example, restoring lost memories.

» Sky Dragon's Wing Attack
The user generates a large whirlwind from each of their arms, which twists and rotates to attack the targets in the surrounding area. The caster can also use this attack in the shape of feathered wings.

» Sky Dragon's Claw
The user generates large winds from their feet while swinging their leg down on the target.

» Sky Dragon's Crushing Fang
The user cloaks one of their hands in a whirlwind and strikes the target with their fingertips, leaving behind a trail of wind.

» Sky Dragon's Wave Wind
The user swings their hand and subsequently generates a large and very powerful tornado.

» Sky Dragon's Air Boost
The user emits a gust of wind from anywhere on their body, providing an extra boost to their melee strikes. Additionally, it can aid in aerial maneuvering for a quick evasion or extra lift in the desired direction.

» Sky Dragon's Grip Strike
The user rushes towards the target and grabs them with their hand. Whilst giving the attacking arm support with the other, the user releases a vast amount of sharp wind at point-blank range, shredding the target.

» Sky Dragon's Empty Fist
The user cloaks their fist in wind and then punches at their opponent, causing the wind to fire off at them, dealing sheer blunt damage. This attack can also be performed with both hands at once or done rapidly in quick succession.

» Sky Dragon's Spear Horn
The user cloaks their entire body in wind and then propels themselves against the opponent at high speed, hitting them with a powerful dropkick. The user then proceeds to send the enemy flying up in the air with a pillar of violent wind produced from their body.

» Sky Dragon's First Sky Arrow
The user cloaks one of their legs in a whirlwind of a Sky Dragon's air, thrusting it at their target. Like an arrow, this attack will travel a great distance and pierce through whatever may be in it's path.

» Sky Dragon's Sky Vacuum
The user can create small distortions by twisting and manipulating the air around them. Despite their grapefruit size, they are strong enough to draw in spells and objects not tethered to the ground. This spell is useful in diverting the enemy or their attacks, as these vacuums can be created almost instantaneously and closed. Unlike black holes, these portals will implode with a crushing force when something larger than them gets sucked in. At most, the caster can create up to five no further than ten meters of their person.

ENCHANTMENT SPELLS
» Vernier
"O swift wind that dashes through the heavens!"
A supportive spell that, by chanting out an incantation, allows the user to temporarily enhance the targets' movement speed by surrounding them with Magical Auras. When cast, the target, and/or user, is able to hover around at their own discretion within said magical aura. It can be employed upon multiple allies, and also on the caster themselves. This spell can also be cast alongside both Arms and Armor.

» Arms
"O strengthen of arm to cleave the heavens!"
After reciting an enchantment and generating a flat, elongated oval mass of Magic before their hands, the user surrounds the target in a quavering magical aura, enhancing their offensive power for a certain period of time. It can be used on multiple allies at once, and can also be used in conjunction with other supportive spells simultaneously, such as Vernier and Armor.

» Armor
The user chants "Armor", which grants either the caster, or the target, enhanced defenses for an unspecified amount of time. The spell can be cast in conjunction with Arms and Vernier.

» Re-Raise
Re-raise is a supportive spell that allows the user to prevent any bodily anomalies inflicted unto them from taking effect.

» Ile Vernier
By chanting "Ile Vernier," the user doubles the speed-increasing effects of the original Vernier spell.

» Ile Arms
By chanting "Ile Arms", the user doubles the offense-increasing effects of the original Arms spell.

» Ile Armor
By chanting "Ile Armor", the user doubles the defense-increasing effects of the original Armor spell.

» De-Vernier
A supportive spell that, by chanting out an incantation, allows the user to temporarily reduce the targets' movement speed by surrounding them with Magical Auras. It can be employed upon multiple targets and also on the caster themselves. This spell can also be cast alongside both De-Arms and De-Armor.

» De-Arms
After reciting an enchantment and generating a flat, elongated oval mass of Magic before their hands, the user surrounds the target in a quavering magical aura, reducing their offensive power for a certain period of time. It can be used on multiple targets at once, and can also be used in conjunction with other supportive spells simultaneously, such as De-Vernier and De-Armor.

» De-Armor
The user chants "De-Armor", which grants the target reduced defenses for an unspecified amount of time. The spell can be cast in conjunction with De-Arms and De-Vernier.

» Ile De-Vernier
By chanting "Ile De-Vernier," the user doubles the speed-hindering effects of the original De-Vernier spell.

» Ile De-Arms
By chanting "Ile De-Arms", the user doubles the offense-hindering effects of the original De-Arms spell.

» Ile De-Armor
By chanting "Ile De-Armor", the user doubles the defense-hindering effects of the original De-Armor spell.

ADVANCED SPELLS
Supportive
» Milky Way
The user draws an intricate Magic circle on the ground, kneeling in the middle of it. As the user chants the words used to activate the spell, the user throws their arms to the air and a beam of light springs from the earth into the sky, creating a ripple of light that moves outwards in bursts. These beams of light sparkle like stars and form ribbons of light that move throughout the area, touching everything that once contained life. If a stray soul is discovered, the user clasps their hands together as if in prayer, and the Magic circle glows brightly. The bands of light come together, swirling to create a portal through which the summoned Dragon soul emerges.

In order to summon the Dragon's soul, the soul itself has to be inside the range of the spell. The caster is also not able to summon souls that have already ascended to heaven.

» Dragon Cry
The user unleashes a high pitched whine into the sky that only dragons and Dragon Slayers can hear. Upon hearing this cry, dragons and Dragon Slayers will be drawn to the source of the crying.

» Dragon Heart
The user must make physical contact with either a dragon or Dragon Slayer while reciting the incantation for this spell. This allows the two or more to form a mental and emotional bond, sharing feelings, memories and thoughts with one another.

Offensive
» Shattering Light: Sky Drill
The user moves into a wide stance, spreading their arms wide and causing a fast wind barrier to form, which surrounds them and their opponent and prevents either from escaping. The user then moves their arms in a counter-clockwise direction, causing the wind wall to contract inwards around their opposition, sending them flying upwards into the air and crashing back down to the ground.

» Shattering Light: Sky Force
The user moves into a wide stance, spreading their arms wide and causing the skies above to darken. They will swirl over, spinning faster and faster as the user moves their hands in a clockwise direction. Swinging their hands down, the sky will quickly drop to the ground; massive force of air being slammed down on their target. The power of this spell will create a 20 foot crater in the earth.

» Shattering Light: Wind Prison
The user surrounds their opponent with walls of wind, converging on them until it forms a dome. Once in place, the caster can steadily control the speed and direction of the violent winds with the appropriate hand movements. By crossing their arms, the user can have the prison collapse on itself, causing a large explosion of wind. The victim's flesh will also be pierced and cut due to the sharp and violent air that smashes into them.

» Heavenly Force: Wind Breaker
In starting this technique, air is propelled around the caster's feet as they take a wide stance, crushing the ground where they stand. This is done to keep them in place as they summon a violent storm of wind around their person. The wind compresses as the caster clasps their hands together, keeping the air tightly confined. Using a great deal of magic energy to compress this air, the user must summon a second wind at their back to support them. Finally, they thrust both hands forward while simultaneously turning them to make them horizontal. A powerful vent of air is emitted from the hands, traveling 50 kilometers and is powerful enough to decimate a small town. This is Betania's first self developed Sky Dragon spell; however, she's deemed the spell almost unusable due to taking too long to prepare, too dangerous to use for herself and its destructive potential.

» Heavenly Force: Final Sky Arrow
This technique is much like the First; however on a larger scale. Gathering the air of a Sky Dragon around their leg, they can deliver a devastating kick with a massive blowback. The moment this attack connects, the wind will travel from the leg to their target for a second more powerful concussive burst. It will literally send the opponent flying. Unlike the First, this spell can be used on its own without losing the additional power.

◎◎ Sub Magic: Cloud Magic [5] ◎◎

◎ A magic that enables the user to influence the weather – but instead of all-around weather manipulation, with the power of generating fearsome rain, hail, snow, thunderstorms, and other weather conditions induced by clouds, as the name would indicate, this ability is simply limited to a single aspect of the weather – indeed, the user is able to manipulate the concepts known as clouds. However, in their case, the user is capable of utilizing this ability to generate clouds by their lonesome with only the scarcest of outside influence. the user is capable of bringing clouds into the current plane of existence, and from there, they are able to create and manipulate these aerosol forms in any way that they deem suitable. They can shape the formation and density of clouds put under their control with this power in any way that they wish, but not only this, the user can construct and reconstruct any cloud in the vicinity to suit the situation at hand, having the clouds manifested by their ability serve function as offense, defensive, and supplementary powers. Because the clouds formed through this ability are manifested and reinforced through the user, these specific clouds are difficult to dissipate – this property extends to any other cloud they take control over, with each form assimilated to be placed under their thrall gaining a consistency similar to that of a near-solid object. With this, the user is capable of riding on any cloud they have under their control, allowing for high speed flight.

BASIC SPELLS
» Nimbus
By gathering a cloud beneath a user's feet, the user will begin to raise themselves high into the air and utilize it as a method of moving around. The cloud itself can change in size and is capable of moving at incredible speeds, even while carrying other occupants.

» Sky Dragon's Nimbus
The user creates a tangible cloud using Sky Dragon Magic, giving it healing properties. So long as anyone touches it, their wounds will slowly be healed. This spell uses the same amount of magic as the Sky Dragon's Healing spell; however, it allows the caster to heal while remaining mobile.

» Cloudburst
Erroneously named, this spell doesn't create rain but instead causes a formed cloud to burst with an explosion. The explosion is a result of compressing the water vapor until it becomes volatile. Once they explode, the affected area and/or persons will be soaked.

ADVANCED SPELLS
» Sky Land
Once this spell is cast, clouds cover the ground in a 50 meter radius around the user. Stepping on the clouds puts a spring in every step, causing some unbalance to those not accustomed to the squishy footing. Given its wide coverage, this terrain is highly dangerous when Cloudburst is used on it. The ground it covers will be completely and utterly destroyed as a result.

» Sky Dragon's Sky Land
Combined with the Sky Dragon's Healing Spell, this terrain will heal any and all who step foot on it. It was created with the sole intention of healing multiple people at once; however, it uses a great deal of magic energy to create and maintain.

◎◎ Sub Magic: Weather Magic [15] ◎◎

◎ This Magic allows the caster to create weather such as rain, hail, lightning, snow, sleet and fog. They can also alter the temperature, giving them slight thermal control as well. It is what allows them to recreate existing weather in addition to entirely new phenomenons, such as boiling hot rain. Users of this magic also gain the ability to detect faint weather patterns and can "predict the weather" with high accuracy.

BASIC SPELLS
» Forecast: Clear Skies
The user creates a white glow in their hand as they raise it in the air toward the sky, causing any clouds or dense gas to disperse. This spell becomes advanced when its range covers an entire city.

» Forecast: Rain
The user creates a blue glow in their hand as they raise it in the air toward the sky, causing clouds to form and merge. Swinging their hand down, they can make it rain in the desired area as well as control the intensity of the rain. It will affect the temperature and humidity, creating fog and mist. This spell becomes advanced when its range covers an entire city.

» Forecast: Fog
The user creates a gray glow in their hand as they raise it in the air toward the sky, causing fog to roll in. It can be made as dense as needed, making it hard to see anything. The user could use the fog generated to blind their foes so they can escape. They could also use it to fight, hit and run as their foes cannot see them. This spell becomes advanced when its range covers an entire city.

» Forecast: Snow
The user creates a light blue glow in their hand as they raise it in the air toward the sky, causing clouds to form and merge. Swinging their hand down, they can make it snow in the desired area as well as control the intensity of the snow. This spell becomes advanced when its range covers an entire city.

» Forecast: Hail
The user creates a dark blue glow in their hand as they raise it in the air toward the sky, causing clouds to form and merge.Swinging their hand down, they can make it hail in the desired area as well as control the intensity of the hail. This spell becomes advanced when its range covers an entire city.
» Forecast: Firestorm
» Forecast: Diamond Dust
» Forecast: Rainbow
» Forecast: Dust Storm

» Cloudburst: Heatwave
After creating a cloud, the water vapor can be rapidly accelerated to form intense heat within. Once it burst, it will unleash a wave of hot air in the immediate area. Anything touching the cloud when it explodes can be burned or potentially set on fire.

» Cloudburst: Coldfront
After creating a cloud, the water vapor can be slowed to form intense cold within. Once it burst, it will unleash a wave of cool air in the immediate area. Anything touching the cloud when it explodes can be burned or potentially frozen.

» Cloudburst: Thundershock
This spell will agitate any clouds it is used on, turning them into cumulonimbus clouds. These clouds will turn jet black in color and emit electric bolts. When it is detonated, lightning will erupt in the immediate area, electrocuting any and all that near it.
» Cloudburst: St. Elmo's Fire
» Cloudburst: Mirage
» Cloudburst: Halo
» Cloudburst: Ball Lightning

ADVANCED SPELLS
» Forecast: Healing Rain
With the Forecast: Rain in one hand and Sky Dragon Magic in the other, the user can create a combination of rainclounds and the Sky Dragon's Healing Spell. The user can create a shower of rejuvenating rain to fall on their allies; useful for healing multiple targets at once. However, it uses twice as much magic energy maintain this spell, despite the area range.
» Forecast: Acid Rain
» Forecast: Boiling Rain
» Forecast: Supercell
» Forecast: Tsunami
» Forecast: Drought
» Forecast: Hailstorm
» Forecast: Thunderstorm
» Forecast: Blizzard
it produces a snow cloud that releases a tornado-like snowstorm that freezes surrounding enemies.

◎◎ Ultimate Magic Attacks [3] ◎◎

» Dragon Force
When a Dragon Slayer enters Dragon Force, they effectively turn into a humanoid Dragon, gaining reptilian scales and traits, such as further elongated, and sharper, canines and scale-like patterns on their skin. According to Zero, Dragon Force is the final, most powerful state a Dragon Slayer can attain; granting them power comparable to that which a real Dragon possesses: the power to utterly destroy everything. Dragon Force greatly increases the damage done by standard Dragon Slayer spells, and grants the user access to more advanced, powerful attacks. It also drastically enhances the user's physical prowess, making them far stronger, more resistant to damage, and faster, and considerably boosts their Magic Power, which becomes visible, taking the appearance of a Dragon. When exuded at its fullest, said Magic Power takes on a violent corporeality, likely as a result of the immense amount of Magic power employed.

Betania's Dragon Force causes a ring of feathers to sprout from her wrists, shoulder blades, ankles, hips and two wing like protrusions on her back. Her canines become sharper and noticeable; her long braid comes undone, letting her long hair whip around violently. Wind surrounds her body, as if she wore it and it lashes out like lightning, cutting anything that gets in its way.

» Lightning-Sky Dragon Mode
Obtained after consuming the lightning of a Lightning Dragon Slayer, the electric and sky magic meld together to bring about this form. The two element mesh together perfectly, essentially forming Storm Magic- the other name for this form. The caster is surrounded by wind with flashing streaks of lightning surrounding them while this mode is activated. While in this form, they can use both elements to triple their speed!
»» Lightning-Sky Dragon's Roar
Gathering air much like before, this enhanced roar backs much more power than a Sky Dragon's Roar. Combined with lightning, the wind is condensed to travel farther while retaining and focusing it's destructive power. Capable of reaching over an island, it will rip and tear anything in its path, electrocuting and paralyzing anything that survives its devastation.

»» Heavenly Force: Storm Breaker
An improvement on Betania's Wind Breaker, she makes use of the lightning to assist in support by clinging to the ground. It also helps her focus her magic easier while also making the spell stronger. The spell will bring even a mountain to it's knees and everything else around it. While it does relieve much more stress on her body, it is even more exhausting than the Lightning-Sky Dragon's Roar.

» Sky Dragon King Mode
Sky Dragon King Mode is a unique ability granted unto a Sky Dragon Slayer by Zephyra, the Sky Dragon King. As a result of the sheer volume of the Magic Power itself, before even properly utilizing the power to its fullest, the user radiates an incredible amount of wind, and their speed and power drastically increase to levels that allow them to fight toe-to-toe with beings as incredulously powerful as Zeref, and even completely destroy forbidden, powerful Magic such as Ankhseram Black Magic. When the Magic Power is exerted to its maximum, in a radius expanding meters, the sky darkens and spirals overhead with wind lashing out violently at the ground, leaving large trenches where they strike; Betania herself being cloaked in this same wind that roughly resemble a silhouette of Zephyra. The mode is said to be the manifestation of the Zephyra's undying will. However, the Magic Power bestowed is extremely finite, and once it runs out, the user must draw power from another Dragon Soul to use it again.
»» Sky Dragon King's Roar
Betania gathers air in her mouth, which once it is spewed out, clashes against itself and creates a heavy friction. Released in the direction she's facing, the turbulence of air and lightning engulf a large-scale area and, with their destructive force, can not only shred the earth beneath it but utterly disintegrate it, leaving a U-shaped valley in its wake. Hitting above a Category 5 hurricane, this attack can level a city in mere moments. Only usable in Sky Dragon King Mode.

»» Sky Dragon King's Cyclone Fist
Betania charges her fist for a brief moment, creating a miniature tornado that is so violent that it appears as a blur. Afterwards, the user punches their target, dealing massive damage to them; so massive, in fact, that it creates a mushroom cloud of sharp and crushing wind. The resulting shockwave of the explosion carries that same air which is destructive enough to destroy half a city. Only usable in Sky Dragon King Mode

»» Heavenly Force: Empyrean Breaker
This spell is the perfected version of the Wind Breaker, surpassing it and the Storm Breaker. Making use of her mastery of wind, she no longer needs a stance to brace herself and can summon the air needed to perform the spell far quicker than before. Forming a spear with her hands, she need only take aim before unleashing a gigantic and powerful mass of wind at her target. The force causes her to expel two streams of wind from her back that have the appearance of wings. The actual blast can create a crater so large that it could form a lake. As for the two streams, they can disrupt the local troposphere temporarily for the following three days. Unlike the other incarnations, this spell can be used midair and is actually preferred. Only usable in Sky Dragon King Mode.

▅▅OTHER SKILLS▅▅

- Expert Hand to Hand Combat: As a child, she used her dancing moves in conjunction with her Sky Dragon Slaying. This worked quite well until she later learn proper Lama from the monks who accepted her. Even now, she uses a combination of the two for a unique and unpredictable fighting style.

- Enhanced Condition: From her training with a dragon to living with the monks, Betania's overall body condition has been enhanced. This includes her strength, speed, stamina, durability, vitality, endurance, agility, reflexes, dexterity, flexibility, senses and mental capacity.

- Enhanced Balance: Betania's balance is better than average after countless trial and error with Zephyra's training. The monks helped her refine this skill...that goes into her current occupation as a model.

- Nature Knowledge: Betania has extensive knowledge of flora and fauna from her years of living with Zephyra in the forest.

- Cold Resistance: Training in the mountains of Zephyrus with little clothing has built up her resistance to cold.

- Fasting: When she was with the monks, this became a mandatory practice. To this day, she still does it and can go up to 3 weeks without food or feeling fatigued.

- Sharp Memory: She can retain information pretty well from the books she reads.

- Requip: Learned when she was hired as a model, it helps her change quickly into outfits. She also uses it to carry her belongings since a bag is too much to keep track of.

- Modeling: While not something she sought out, Betania turned out to be a natural at modeling, knowing the right poses and expressions to make without much direction.

- Dancing: Either you got it or you don't. In Betania's case, she was born with it! She's been dancing since she was a child, entertaining Zephyra.

- Gymnastics: Betania gets her flexibility from her ability to perform gymnastics. This is something she learned from the peaceful monks.

- Baking: Like most things she knows how to do, Betty taught herself to do or she read in a book. To clarify, this means she knows how to make baked goods, cakes and other pastries. DO. NOT. TRUST. HER. COOKING!

- Artistic Vision: Betania is good at making art out of everyday objects and calling them trinkets. This ranges from things such as origami to turning a broken pot into a masterpiece.

The young lady strives to make connections and bonds with others and readily gives appreciation and support to her friends. In a way, she is slight naive, believing all people are capable of good and have good in them. She believes honestly and wholeheartedly that "True Peace" can exist. From her time with the monks, she become someone who is very open and expressive. Some may confuse her lax nature with apathy, but she has simply learned not to let stress control her. Relaxed and at ease, Betania spends a great deal of time in a quiet place with no distractions. She promotes both peace and love, with a strong distaste to conflict. However, that isn't to say she is above indulging in violence. Betania will seek a verbal battle before raising her fists, making her somewhat of a martial pacifist. She will never attempt an act of violence except for one reason: when she's touched inappropriately. Betty is not a violent or angry person by nature; yet it is one of the few things that can awaken this side of her. The Dragon Slayer's wrath is silent, but near lethal when triggered.

Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ:
The Girl Who Wasn't Wanted
In Dryadalis, there were two people who never should have met: a knight and a woman of the night, both horrible people in their own right. The man was from Magicae, he who was loyal only to himself and served his king for nothing more than fame and power. He lied and cheated his way into his position, but was satisfied with his cozy life. As for the woman, she sold her body for money and to warm the beds of other men. There was no love between the two when they met, only lust and greed. But the woman, Anna, was more conniving than she let on. Well aware of the man's position as a knight, she came up with the idea to blackmail him for a steady income. So she intentionally got pregnant and used the baby to blackmail him. What luck she had that the baby had his Venefician hair and looks; there was no way he could deny the child as his! She even went as far as giving the girl both of their names, just to spite the man. For a few years, the woman was getting away with it. He sent her money to keep her mouth shut while she got to live a new cushy lifestyle, so long as she kept the girl alive. As for the child, Betania knew not of her parent's true nature and bought into the facade of them being a happy family. Her parents were usually out at work, but she taken care of. Mom slept most of the day and then went out at night, while dad worked overseas, though she didn't quite understand what he did. She rarely got to see her dad, but she believed his smile; unable to see the hate and contempt he had for her. Only five years old, but living a happy life from her point of view.

Cast Away
Betania's father eventually grew tired of bending over to Anna's will; his quiet and peaceful life was in jeopardy. He had to do something about her leverage, his own daughter. Playing the role of a caring father, he sent for his daughter overseas, all according to his brilliant plan. Betania was excited to see the place where her father worked, but was confused why her mother declined to go. In any case, the little girl was antsy on the boat ride, this being her first time crossing the sea. She didn't expect it to take so long either and ended up falling asleep as night fell. But it was due to the food she was given that she fell asleep and remained so as the hired muscle put her into a barrel. Taken as close to the Forsaken Woodlands as possible, the man would throw the barrel into the ocean and watch it drifted toward it. Fortunately, he left too soon before seeing the deed done, the barrel veering off course before it got too close. The waves carried Betania away from the cursed island and toward the island of Ormeadow. As morning came, the girl awoke to being in the small, cramped and dark prison. She grew frantic, thrashing about in an attempt to get out. Somehow, she managed to get the top off, but when she peered out, she did not like what she saw. Nothing but the blue ocean surrounding her on all sides. Betania cried for her parents, cried until she could cry no more. And then she sat there, terrified and slowly getting hungry. She was at sea for no more than a day when she finally saw the shore of Ormeadow. The poor girl was impatient, for the moment she had seen land, she tried to expedite the process. Knocking the barrel over, water filled it which caused it to quickly sink. Betania, who didn't know how to swim, began to panic and flailed about until she used up her already low energy. Without the strength, she proceeded to sink just like the barrel as water filled her lungs.

The Land of Fairy Tales
Miraculously, she awoke on the shore of Ormeadow, coughing up water and gasping for air. She could barely see with her half shut eyes, but after a strong gust of wind, she passed out. When next she awoke, she was in a bed in a dimly lit hut. Here she met the woman who brought her in, an elf who went by Mother Cicely. A caretaker who took care of the children on this island and helped monitor the forest barrier, she was as you would expect, very kind and gentle. The small pink thing that floated nearby was a flower sprite named Primrose, the few of her kind that escaped corruption. Primrose was the one who found her and got Cicely to bring her here. She was grateful to have been saved and taken care of, but she felt she should be somewhere else. The only problem being, she couldn't recall where that was. And so, for the next few years, the girl would be staying here with the inhabitants of the island. Betania got to meet sprites, fairies and even unicorns; the other children being as nice as the Mother who took good care of them all. She even learned how to read and write, the former sticking with her. Happy the girl was, yet in the back of her head, the riddles of the past still troubled her.

The Primordial Sky Dragon
~Three years later - Age 8~
Her memories had yet to resurface, which worried the young girl. She brought her concerns to Mother Cecily who only told her that she just needed more time. It didn't seem like time was on her side... Later that week, she overhears Mother Cecily talking to Primrose about a Sky Dragon. While she usually wasn't one to eavesdrop, she was curious when she also heard her name in the conversation. "Was it true that Sky Dragon Slayer Magic could cure amnesia?" Was what Cecily was asking, which Primrose confirmed after speaking with the dragon. But what dragon were they talking about? Betania confronted Primrose about it the following day, deciding to press for more information. The flower sprite was a motormouth and bad about keeping secrets when pressured. Near the shore where they weren't allowed to go, there was a Sky Dragon who lived on the island. But that wasn't all! Apparently, the day she washed ashore, the flower sprite bore witness to what happened. The Sky Dragon had brought her there, dragging her out of the water and saving her life. After hearing that, the little girl had to seek out the Sky Dragon, to get her memories restored or at the very least, say thank you. When she got to the beach, there was no dragon or any trace of one being here. It was the first time Betania had laid eyes on the ocean since coming here and when she did, fear had taken root in her heart. She didn't know why, but she was terrified of the big blue, almost paralyzed by it. That was when a booming voice called out to her! The clouds parted as the giant dragon emerged, flapping her wings and knocking the girl onto her back. Betania stared in awe, having never seen a dragon before, let alone one so beautiful. Her name was Zephyra of the Primordial Sky Dragons, meaning she was of the first original Sky Dragons. The girl was quizzed as to why she was here at which she answered, first giving her thanks to being saved that day. Going on, she would express her desire to recover her memory. But without explanation, the dragon refused to treat her and asked her to leave. She pleaded her to reconsider, but the dragon ignored her, forcing her to concede for now.

Granny Zephyra
Betania returned home disappointed, as noticed by the Mother immediately. Cecily explained to her that Zephyra was an old dragon from the southern lands who had come to Ormeadow to rest and relax. The elven woman was also curious if her magic could help Betania and intended to ask on her behalf. The following day, they both went to speak with Zephyra to learn more on this matter. But the Sky Dragon was insistent, making it clear that she could but would not. For she had bore witness to the fate of the child being casted away. It was she who veered the vessel off course from the Forsaken Woodlands and she who had guided her to this island in the first place. She could only imagine Betania's upbringing as being unpleasant and refused to restore those memories. But then the girl surprised her, telling her how she would rather be burdened with awful memories than not know at all. Intrigued, the dragon asked Cecily to let the girl stay for the night so they may talk. That night, they spoke about each other; Betania telling her about her time on the island and how she was happy to be here. But she could not shake the feeling of longing of those she had forgotten. As for the girl, she learned of Zephyra's long past. The Sky Dragon had come from the Zephyrus Mountains, the home of her family for generations. She had fought and was adored by many for her power and the strength of her heart. Before long, she even found love with a human and they had children. And they were happy...but Zephyra was careless. Her two children fell to their deaths, one playing too recklessly close to the edge and the other falling in an attempt to save the other. She had only taken her eye off them for a moment, but in that moment, she was powerless to save them. Both she and her husband never had any other kids, choosing to just have each other. Eventually, her husband too had passed on, she far outliving him. Broken hearted, Zephyra lived in the Zephyrus Mountains until just recently coming here to be alone. It was then that Betania asked tearfully if she regretted the memories she made despite all the bad. For the first time in years, Zephyra felt her heart swayed by the small girl before her. And so Betania would receive her wish to have her memories restored, but asked for a very serious favor in return: to inherit the Sky Dragon's Magic.

The Second Wind
Starting the following day, Betania would live with Zephyra; Mother Cecily making the arrangements. The only thing she was allowed to keep were her clothes and books which the Mother brought to her monthly. Everything else she would have to get for herself, as taught by her new master. Betania's knowledge of dragons was limited to word of mouth and what she read in books. Powerful creatures that were both fearsome and graceful. As she soon learned, there was more to it than that. The first spell she learned was the Sky Dragon's Healing Spell, a spell that was explicitly for healing others. In fact, most of the spells she learned afterwards was for the benefit of helping others. Dragons were kind and selfless, but she would learn that just from being around Zephyra. She spent rainy days under her wings and cold nights bundled in her warmth. The dragon was very protective of her, yet her training was not lax in the slightest. In fact, the hardest for her to pick up were the offensive spells of this Magic. It was vastly different from the norm and took some time getting the hang of. Aside from magic, Zephyra taught her a lot about animals and plants; what was good to eat, what to use for medicine, how to avoid confrontation or interact with animals. There were many things you could learn from books, but the life lessons she learned from Granny Zephyra were incomparable.

Departure
~Seven Years Later - Age 15~
Betania was nearing the end of her training, not that she realized it. What she did realize was her Granny's odd behavior. She had grown even more sluggish, slept more often than not and had a loss of appetite. The young girl was concerned, but Zephyra kept her focused on her training. It was shortly after Betania had mastered Dragon Force that things would take a sudden change. Mother Cecily had come by late at night, not to deliver books but to speak with her; her tone almost somber and her speech suggesting what seemed to be a farewell. Early the following morning, her dragon master would alas uphold her end of their agreement: the restoration of her memories- they all came flooding back like a clear picture. Her former home, her mother and father; she remembered it all! But shortly afterwards, Zephyra looked extremely exhausted and was breathing heavily. "It's time..." she uttered softly, before urging Betania to climb onto her back. It was the first time she would leave the island since her arrival and she had not a clue as to where they were going. Not that it concerned her, for this was the first time she would fly in the sky and see the world from a whole new perspective. The icing on this was the sight of the rising sun, casting its warmth on the land. How happy she was to share this beautiful moment with her Granny... They would land in the Zephyrus Mountains, Betania immediately feeling the cold when she got down on the ground. Zephyra told her about a tribe of monks hidden here in the mountains and urged her to go there to complete her training. And then, the dragon had slowly started to rise into the sky, much to the young slayer's confusion. As she explained: "When Sky Dragons die, they return to where they came from", the words chilling her worst than the frigid temperature. She knew Zephyra was old, but she was not ready to let go; not after all they went through and the time they spent together! ...Yet, there was nothing she could do but cry to the Sky Dragon as she rose into the air, until she was out of sight...

The Monks of Zephyrus
Betania fell to her knees crying; frozen by her emotions. For hours she stayed in that spot, not a single concern toward the temperature taking its toll on her body. Suddenly, she was knocked unconscious by a sweet smelling aroma. She awoke in a daze in a warm room, lit by candles; this giving her deja vu of the time she arrived on Ormeadow. Had she remained out there any longer, she would've succumb to frostbite. Yet, she had no clue as to where she was; leaving her to get up and venture out. Past those doors and through several winding halls, Betania would make her way...into a circle. No matter how many times she tried to leave, every path brought her back to this room. That went on until someone showed up when she returned, explaining to her the situation. This place was home to the monks Zephyra had told her to seek out; they actually finding her before she succumbed to the cold. They had seen the Sky Dragon from a distance and came to investigate, finding her instead. Cautious, they opted to put her to sleep before bringing her here. This temple was built in honor of the Sky Dragons and was inhabited by those who strove to live as they did; adopting several mantras along with the ideals of peace, passion and life.

Initially, Betania was against staying here in such a place that would only remind her of Zephyra, but she also couldn't leave so easily. They would allow her to leave if she wished, but they would not help her do so. For days, the girl spent wandering the maze-like temple in a fruitless attempt to escape. And while she did, she happened to see many things Zephyra never taught her; murals that described the history of the Sky Dragons and techniques that were extensions of her fighting style. It came to the point that Betania struck a deal with the monks: one year of training and then she could leave.

Ascension of the Sky Dragon
~One Year Later - Age 16~
A year would come and go, Betania picking up several interesting things from the monks. Their strange choice in food, mannerisms and philosophies of being peaceful.Though they could not convince her to shave her head. The girl enjoyed the time spent in this cold temple, but she still missed Zephyra greatly. Her desire to leave had somewhat diminished and she was torn on whether or not to leave. And then, shortly before coming up on the deadline, Betania found an odd murals depicting...flying humans. When she asked about it, the monks explained that humans who trained under dragons had the ability to fly like the dragons as well. Curious, she wanted to attempt the same, trying multiple Sky Dragon Slaying spells to help her. It was the first time she displayed her Magic since coming here, having only trained as they did and picking up their Cloud Magic. That's when they lead her to a secret chamber within the temple, a dimly emerald lit room with paintings of dragons covering the walls. It was here that Betania learned of the spell Milky Way and was urged to use it. The time spent learning this technique made up the rest of her time before getting to leave.

When Betania finally figured it out, she was ecstatic! It meant she could see Zephyra again, hopefully. She held her breath as she meditated, activating Milky Way. And as fate designed, Zephyra did appear! Overcome with joy, the girl cried tears as she gazed upon her master. She had several questions, but limited time to do so. But the conversation between them helped the young Dragon Slayer understand why the dragon never told her of her near death. Zephyra was old and had come to Ormeadow to live out the rest of her life in peace. Mother Cecily arranged it so no one would bother her as she did so. But that was when she found Betania and felt compelled to save the girl from an early demise. She had no idea that same child would come to be the one to give her remaining days such happiness...and love. The dragon apologized, she did not want to burden Betania with the truth, however, she also wanted her to learn more about who she was and where she came from. Here in this temple, she was hoping the young slayer would learn of this spell and complete the rest of the training that she could not finish teaching. In this very room, a scroll was tucked away that held several secret Sky Dragon Slaying techniques. It was Zephyra's dying wish that the girl find true happiness and love where ever she went. And then, the Sky Dragon would depart once more, for the last time. However, this time, she would impart a fragment of her soul within her faithful student. Betania wiped her tears, finally receiving the closure and last bit of guidance from Granny Zephyra that she needed. In the end, she decided to stay in the temple to complete her master's last wishes. After shaving her head, she was accepted into the monks proper.

Veneficium's Cover Girl
~Two Years Later - Age 18~
Upon completing her training, Betania was finally ready to take her leave from the temple. Though life in the temple was enjoyable, she had other goals she sought to pursue, such as finding her parents. When she left, Betania figured out the only technique not listed in the scroll and used it to at last take to the skies. Flying was tricky at first, but she managed to get the general idea down. She would begin her search at her last known residence in hopes of picking up a trail. Sadly, when she arrived, it seemed her former home had been abandoned for some time. Betania began to question people who lived in the air, hoping to find something, anything. But it was just the opposite. A pair of modeling scouts discovered and approached her, wanting her to be their new model. She was going to politely turn them down, until they mentioned publicity. If her face was all over the popular magazines, surely her parents would notice and come to her, right? Thus, Betania began her modeling career, striving to be a popular as she could be! I wasn't long into her career before she approached by a woman, though it was not her mother.

Woman of the Ways
The woman appeared one day, speaking very cryptically but was nice from what she could tell. Oddly, Betania took to her quickly, forming a bond with the lady. Her name was Lilianis Denose who had as many gifts as she did mysteries. One such ability was one that could her her find her family.

Heart of the Pegasus

Rᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴsʜɪᴘ(s):

Bethuel Langdon (Father) (Deceased)
Though she has only seen him a few times, she remembers vividly what he looks like, thanks to Zephyra's healing. She knew he smiled a lot and seemed happy to see her. Unfortunately, she never got to meet him again, while he lived. At least through him, she found family she never knew she had.

Anna (Mother) (Unknown)
Before getting lost at sea, she lived with her charming mother. She was unusually lethargic, but kind and caring from what Betania remembers. Always a hard worker, providing for the family and nothing but selfless; the kind of person she aspires to be.

Bethan Langdon (Uncle)
The brother of her father; she only met him after finding her father's grave. He was skeptical of her at first and didn't believe her to be who she said she was. Usually on guard, the man is hard person to get close to but he has since warmed up to her.

Beatrice Langdon (Aunt)
Her uncle's wife, a kind person who opens her home to others without hesitation. She is incapable of speaking, but clearly conveys her feelings through actions. Were it not for her, her uncle may never have been receptive of her.

Bethany Langdon (Cousin)
Her sweet, yet shy cousin who she's become close friends with. Much like her father, she's hard to get close to, though for different reasons. Fortunately, they were able to bond over their common interest in books. They often keep in contact, maintaining their relationship even from long distances.

Mother Cicely & Primrose (Caregiver)
Like a second mother, Cecily more than a caretaker to her.
She was also a teacher, having learned to read and write, as well as how to treat others. When she was lost, Mother Cecily was her guide to getting back on her feet.

Zephyra (Dragon Master / Foster Grandmother)(Deceased)
Zephyra was her world, a great mentor and practically family. She saved her life more than once and gave her purpose to keep living. Inheriting her will, Betania wants to honor Zephyra's life by upholding the laws of the skies and protecting others with the gift bestowed upon her.

The Monks of Zephyrus (Mentors / Family)
The last teachers Betania had who helped mold her into the person she is now. After losing Zephyra, not only did they help her in her time of weakness, they made her stronger. For the lessons they bequeathed to her, she is forever indebted to them.

Lillianis Cassandra Denose (Family)
Lili came to her looking for friendship and Betania thought nothing of it being odd. She found the older woman mysterious, but kind and helpful, though she had her own way of doing so. Things have been a little rocky between them since Lili confided in her, but she is still someone she cares deeply for and hopes to mend their relationship.

Rei Mikaboshi (Magic Council Chairwoman)
Betania first met Rei through her cousin, prior to joining Blue Pegasus. First impressions: very serious and to the point. But several interactions showed her the woman was a lot more compassionate than she let on and warm once she got to know you.
