Logos functioned exceptionally well when she had a mission in mind. Tonight, it was to collect energy to disperse into Mirrorspace as per Lesath's instructions. Easy enough. Every night she would go out to drain a civilian or two, knowing that each night would bring her more practice and more energy towards her personal quota. Logos had no way of measuring how much energy she had taken, but five successes per week was the absolute minimum she allowed herself.

Tonight's target was a filthy older man, gruff around the edges, reeking of cigarette smoke and alcohol. Logos had found him taking a smoke break outside of a bar on the seedier end of town, and found she'd had the urge to best him in a fistfight before summoning her mirrrorwraith to do the rest of the job. Something about having more power than the average human was intoxicating to Logos, and she sought to test the limits of her strength whenever she could.

A quick punch to the gut bent him over in surprise, and an elbow to the meat beneath his shoulder put him on the ground. Logos kept to the shadows, out from beneath the gaze of the fluorescent light above the back door to the bar. From her mirror shard sprung the wispy, ghostlike creature, already draining energy to bring back to her superiors.

There were things about Destiny City that Minchir strongly disliked. It wasn't the multiple auras tinged by chaos - he was used to that. His mind was far too used to that. It was when the source of any aura was unfamiliar. Knights had been a surprise, but there had also been that kid in the theater....he still didn't have his mind wrapped about that one yet.

All it really meant was that when the senshi was tracking an aura, he was never quite sure what it was he was going to find...or if it was even what he'd been originally following. While he was fully aware he wasn't in danger - at least physically - of the 'normal fare' that made the seedier parts of any town less than ideal, there was always something about wandering into it with shorts on that was a little odd. Maybe it was his darn cute face.

A darn cute face that narrowed when he caught sight of very suspicious activity. He wasn't familiar with the ghost-like creature that lingered in the florescent lights, but he was certain it wasn't what he was sensing...which meant it he needed to find..something else. Oh he hated when it was a 'something'. That was so vague. He could have been looking for a clownfish called Nemo for all he knew. Except the vague shapes in the darkness looked suspicious and he approached.

No words, only a swing at the face once he could make out enough of Logos to know she was definitely up to no good.

Logos could feel this one coming, this one of the White Moon. They were in stark contrast with the Court she was familiar with - squeaky clean, clinical, sterile. She'd been taught how to sense other people coming, but still found the practice to be strange and alien. Magic, she thought, was still a fantastical system she was learning to navigate. Mirrorwalking was a thrilling power to have, as was energy gathering. But her favorite thing about being a part of the Dark Mirror Court?

The physical power/

As her father taught her starting at the age of nine, Logos knew how to defend herself from human attackers. Minchir's fist grazed her shoulder and chest as the Dark Mirror took a step back, allowing the White Moon Senshi to trip over the prone body laying on the ground. She no longer cared for what happened to the man - he attacked her, after all - and she'd gathered the energy in the wraith. Everything after that is what she would consider training.

Power was seductive. If this White Moon sterile thing was presenting himself as a punching bag, well... Logos wasn't about to refuse. She would give chase if Minchir tried to leave, and if he was going to throw punches? She was trained. She would punch back, and did so with extreme prejudice.

There were some things about being in real life combat that simply stuck even without hand-to-hand combat, but there were also distinct disadvantages of running solely off of in-the-moment instinct and being up against a trained combatant was one of them. Despite real world experience, even curling into his own body didn't really help much as Logos' punch made solid contact, knocking the wind out of him.

Dropping to his knee with a grunt, he managed to put his hands together. "Light of Day." he hissed out. While not how he usually used this, it was still perhaps a good idea to give himself a moment to step back and catch his breath before he launched again. The bubble of white light erupted immediately from his palms, and he closed his eyes to keep from blinding himself. Just a few seconds, and then he'd strike again - if she didn't flee his field.

Quote:

Sailor Scout Attack: The Light of Day

Minchir can create an area of bright sunlight, roughly 7 feet in diameter around a target. All who enter it will be treated to the blinding field of white. It lasts for 25 seconds. A lingering 'white spot' vision effect can linger for up to another 30 seconds for flavor-text purposes. Can use twice per battle.

IT'S ALL GUD GURL thank you for the battle ;~; It's up to you whether Minchir gets hit or not!

Logos wasn't prepared for the incredible blinding light that erupted from Minchir's hands. She'd had few experiences with the White Moon, but knew they were senshi, just as she was, and thus had magical abilities as she did. Determining what those abilities were was something else entirely. For a brief moment, while her eyes were blinded and she'd unconsciously covered her face with her forearm, Logos wished she'd had the ability to scan targets before assaulting them to prevent something like this from happening again...

Too little, too late.

With a hiss, the Dark Mirror Senshi took a few steps back from Minchir, knowing she couldn't possibly continue to punch him without being able to see. Just a few seconds more and she squinted over the edge of her forearm, colors and spots dancing in her vision. Damn, he's blinded me! Left with few options and determined to return to Mirrorspace with something to show for her efforts, Logos did the thing she could think of to keep Minchir at a distance.

With a click of her heels and a blind spin in place, Logos called up her magic. "Logos Spinning Helix!"

Sailor Scout Attack: Logos Spinning Helix!
Logos calls the attack name and spins in a quick circle, creating a magical ribbon-like helix that spins outward from her in a radius of 10 ft. Once the helix hits someone (Logos herself cannot be hit), that person experiences vertigo for 30 seconds. Can be used twice per battle.

There were two downsides to blinding everybody in the area including himself (and probably the poor man out cold on the ground if he'd been awake), one of which being that when he swooped in for another punch, he stepped on something that sent him careening off in a direction he'd definitely not been trying to go. Even as the light he'd emitted pittered off, he reeled back, practically stumbling, before he tripped (again) over the body of the man on the ground, toppling back into what felt like a dumpster or a car. Whatever it was, it was large and metal and he made quite the racket as he fumbled to right himself from it.

What the hell did she do to me?

He didn't like the idea of being at her mercy while in this state, so despite it he still did his best to keep himself up on his feet, even if it made him look like a drunkard.

And he fell down again.

Dammit.

YAY FIN~

This wasn’t going according to plan.

In a hand-to-hand fistfight, Logos would undoubtedly have the upper hand, having years of self-defense training under her belt from her father. She went into this fight having the utmost confidence in her abilities as a combatant, but forgot one crucial thing - White Moon Senshi possessed magic all on their own. And Minchir’s? It rendered her temporarily blinded. One couldn’t punch something one couldn’t very well see. The Dark Mirror had tried keeping her distance from Minchir once he’d made her acutely aware of his present position.

The noise the senshi had made from falling into the debris and dumpster along the side of the bar was too much to ignore. Soon, someone from the bar would surely come outside to see what the ruckus was all about, and perhaps even call the police. Logos had managed to gather some energy from the prone man on the ground, which was better than nothing at all. She wouldn’t return to Mirrorspace empty handed. Continuing to step back and having the wraith dismissed as soon and Minchir had arrived to disrupt her work, Logos had two options - continue to fight and risk being blinded again (or worse) with the possibility of civilian and law enforcement intervention… or retreat.

She chose the second option.

Considering it a draw as far as she was concerned, the Dark Mirror Senshi took to the plan swiftly - retreating to the rooftops as soon as her vision cleared enough for her to do so. Whether Minchir was left behind to be arrested was none of her concern. Let him fend for himself. Besides, it wouldn’t have come to this had he sensibly left her to her own devices. Silly White Moon.

She retreated. As far as Minchir was concerned, that was a measly tie at best. Still, he managed to get himself steadied on his feet until he heard a shout from the other end of the road. What's going on down there? I've called the cops! The voice made his head buzz and he frowned, leering in the direction the dark dressed senshi had gone...and the other way down the road where people couldn't quite make him out yet.

With the man prone on the ground, there was only one easy way out of this; he powered down once he was certain nobody would identify him. "There's a man passed out down here!" he shouted back, moving to help the prone-man up as best as his measly little body could. Then it was off to come up with a better cover story for why he'd been down there.

And probably another ride home from the cops.

Sigh.
