When it was time, he preheated ovens, set all the food out, and lined all goods in order of when they needed placed in the ovens. To help him and others organize, he also commandeered extra knives and utensils, bowls, and plates from different kitchens, a few mismatches. A set of tablecloths still in their packs were set on the tables.
Melvin was working on bringing in more chairs from where he had them folded up in the back room.

The smell of turkey and ham is already filling the room as they slowly cook in several of the now filled ovens. If it's a Thanksgiving food, it's probably there.
There is no booze in order to keep the festivities welcoming and civil for every age group.
