[HH 1v1] Everyman vs Bishounen (TerryvMarosa)

The last time Terry was here, he was almost eaten by a dinosaur. He had not been very happy with that, even if, had he been a third-party observer, that sounded like a ******** scene to behold. Fantasy was always better than reality, except when said fantasy involved actual physical gratification. He'd decided that he can't always rely on his girlfriend to protect him and has been trying to learn to fight better.

But upon arriving in the Haunted House, it was clear to the Life Hunter that this was not going to be at all what he was expecting. In fact, all he wanted to do was go right back to his dorm. He reached up to his neck to attempt to pendant out, but his weapon's voice was adamant he at least get her some FEAR that she was absolutely starving for.

Marosa didn't know what had brought him back to the Haunted House.

In hindsight, he should have avoided it like the plague, after losing his wings to a Hunter in it. But something called him back.... perhaps he wanted to face his past in an attempt to stop being afraid of it.

Whatever the feeling was... Marosa wanted to be in and out of the place as fast as he could -- he already knew that Sharra would chew his ear off for going to the place alone after last time.

The faerie froze as he turned his head and saw a Hunter stumbling around with a distant look on his face, looking new... and not at all as concerned as he should have been.

Gritting his teeth together, Marosa moved forward to close the distance between them, slamming his hand into the other's form.

What was he doing!? The Gancanagh should have been running -- but his blood boiled, and he couldn't quite think straight --

Terry was not in the mood to fight. To be fair, Terry was never in the mood to fight. Unless you count those times under the covers with his girlfriend, in which case it was more a case of the spirit was willing but the flesh is sad and pathetic.

And speaking of sad and pathetic, he was caught off guard but brought up his shield anyway, the sharp teeth slashing at the Halloweener. "Dude, what?" he whined, his expression annoyed at being attacked than angry at encountering a creature of Halloween. He quickly schooled his face to blank indifference even as he demanded, "What's your problem?"

Marosa frowned, not at all happy with the other's impassive look. He wasn't happy to find a Hunter here, but he knew he had to down the other before another unfortunate 'accident' occurred on his end.

He wanted to be able to return home to Sharra.

"Why are you here?" Came Marosa's short reply, his voice curt. "Did you come for more unsuspecting students? Do you intend to take a trophy from them like your brethren?" The faerie's eyes narrowed, and he took a few hops back on his nimble feet, an idea occurring in his mind.

By being here himself... he was making sure that no other students were hurt when wandering around by themselves.

Bringing up his hand, the Gancanagh drew forth flames on his fingertips; a dancing fire that flickered between red and purple. It was hot, but didn't burn the faerie before he jerked his hand to the side, sending the flames flying towards Terry without regret.

It seemed he wanted to end this fight as quickly as possible... though his body was getting colder, and number, due to the effects from the area they both were in.

It figures that all the students Terry had to encounter, it had to be the aggressive or older violent ones. Why couldn't he meet some of the nicer students? Like that sweet, kind girl (ghoul as Agata corrected) back when they were both Horsemen and were close friends? Why couldn't he have run into her here?

Oh right, because this place was not the sort of place you found sweet, kind ghouls like her. And instead, he was going to have to deal with issues and probably justifiable outrage given what Hunter weapons used to be. There was a twinge of guilt there, but he also very much wanted to live.

The shield was brought up, the surface and his FEAR shield absorbing the heat and flames. Terry could hear Agata's warning that she wouldn't be able to protect him for much longer. He peered over the shield, one hand already holding his pendant ready to runic himself away at the last second.

"I choose to believe that all requests for you to chill out is out of question at this point." He said, still with that monotone before charging forward to try and pin the student against a wall. "But I'm just passing through and I'd rather we not do so through each other."

Snarling, Marosa twisted out of the way and shoved Terry away from him, his eyes still dark.

"Aye," The Gancanagh agreed with fervor, his head tilting as he took another step back, fingers curling at his sides. "... but Oi do not intend tae lose this battle." He didn't look like he was ready to stand for much longer... but the look in his eyes definitely stated that he wasn't going to go down without a fight.

It might have been better for Terry to walk away from this, considering how angry Marosa looked.

The faerie wasn't going to turn his back on a Hunter.

Never again.

Terry didn't pursue the student, but he maintained a defensive stance all the same. Being passive by nature definitely made it easier for him to adopt a less proactive posture.

The accent was something interesting Terry might have asked about had this whole encounter not, y'know, resulting in the two of them at each other's throats. "Narratively speaking, this is the part I should mention something like I'm a Lover not a Fighter, but that wouldn't be accurate either."

The hunter remained standing where he was, shrugging at his self-deprecation but keeping his eyes trained on the demon because despite his self-esteem issues, this wasn't an otome game and he for sure wasn't going for the murder-route.

Blinking slowly, Marosa watched the Hunter with skepticism, his lips curving downwards.

"Oi don't understand." And really, he didn't. After the last run in he'd had with a Hunter... he was left with a feeling that they all wanted nothing more than to make it known that they were the prey of the Hunters... and not the other way around.

Which is what he'd been taught his whole life.

But yet...

Things had changed. It was more complicated now, and Marosa realized that he'd grown up, and his views had shifted. But it didn't make him any less wary than it had before.

He took a careful step back, about to defend himself if necessary.

"... how about we both go on our way, and pretend this didn't happen."

Because he was sure as Jack going to catch hell from Sharra when he returned.

The Life hunter nodded, "Sounds good. I never saw you, you never saw me," and with that, Terry pulled at his pendant to flee the haunted house.
