Cadmus sighed, looking down to his history test and the bold red 72 circled twice in red marker. Annotated at the bottom was, "See me after class!!!", which the teen forced himself to do; the call to start his patrols straight after school, instead of later in the evening, sounded like a great idea then and there.
Yet, Caelum stuck to his guns and saw his teacher. Apparently, while he wasn't failing, his grades on the last few assignments and test were quite unsatisfactory. His teacher wanted him to try harder, "because I know you're capable of more, Mr. Dawson."
What a complete buzzkill. Cadmus didn't even want to continue his patrol; instead, he sat around dully on a rooftop, ripping off slice after slice from the teacher's lengthy test, folding them into paper planes, and aiming them toward the setting sun. The white crafts would descend against the breeze, glinting orange from the rays across the horizon, before disappearing into the depths of the city.
The senshi was on his fourth before he let out a bedraggled sigh and released it to the winds. "What am I gonna tell dad?" he said aloud to no one in particular. "He's gonna suggest a tutor, but do I really need a tutor for history? Like, it's just a bunch of major events that happened. Eugh, quiz me on what's it like to be a senshi. I'd ace that crap instantly." A small laugh bubbled out of him, but it soon stymied on his lips. In a firmer tone, he added, "I'm gonna have to learn to balance everything... I barely have time to study, let alone patrol. Ugh..." He flopped back and splayed himself on the rooftop. "And studying during patrols would really suck..."

Echo stretched as she walked along her partol path, well a different one this day, but she knew she needed to hurry home since her parents where supposed to actually be there tonight. Pulling out her phone to check the scanner, she was a bit surprised by the date. Already two months since her birthday...since she was no longer a Chibi Senshi. Despite being in the city, and a Senshi, since April she still feeling like she knew hardly anything. Letting out a groan, Echo kicked at the ground, only to be surprised at the crunching sound of paper and it's light scraping sound as it moved forward. There was another laying near by, as she looked up she say another heading her way. She hit the scanner on her phone before catching it, only to be surprised to the writting on it. There was someone up there.. Echo turn, quickly gathering up the paper nervously, the fourth hitting her right in the back of the head. " What the heck?" She muttered, looking back up towards the building's edge. She worked her way up to the edge, peeking over to see someone laying there. Echo smiled and started throwing the planes back at him. With maaaybe a bit of force to them thanks to her powers, grinning a bit now. unohime It's great! ^^ haha & Sorry for the delay. >.< I got caught up in some other stuff and have just been really tired here lately. =3=

Cadmus heavily considered a nap; the rooftop beneath him suddenly felt like the comfiest mattress in the world. Just as lids closed over red eyes, something light landed in the boy's lap, causing him to jolt upright with a squawk. He blinked down to a... paper plane?
Before the eternal had the chance to consider how in the world his plane returned back to him, another flew right into his lap, then two others plonked him a little too forcefully on the back of the head. The boy huffed and rubbed the areas of impact, jerking his chin over his shoulder and looking to the source.
"What the fu— Oh."
The boy's furrowed brow dropped to one of slight surprise; why hadn't he been aware of the energy signature behind him? Blaming it on his frustrations, Cadmus shifted his sitting to favor Echo's position, and have her a welcoming, lop-sided smile.
"Hey there!" he said, waving her over. "I thought I was all alone up here, but I guess not. Name's Cadmus, Senshi of Cranberries. You are...?"

Echo couldn't help but start laughing, muffling herself with her hand. "Sorry about that! I couldn't help myself!" She said, lifting herself up and over onto the roof. She had to admit, she was glad he was a Senshi after all. Her red eye, meeting his own...and all the rest of his red, Echo couldn't help but feel ammused by his title. Though, it was fitting.
"Cranberries, huh?" She laughed. "Hi! I'm Echo, Senshi of Paper." With that and a smile, she reached her hand out.

The kid in him made Cadmus want to cup his hands over his mouth and shout out, "Hello, hello, hello...!" as if she really were an echo in a cavern, but he had to remember he was Fifteen, and not Thirteen anymore, and keep his kid stuff to when he was a kid. Instead, the eternal reached forward and gave the senshi a firm shake, and then ran a hand through his hair awkwardly.
"Pleased to meet you, Echo," he said, beaming a smile. "Of paper, huh? That explains the planes; they felt like darts against my head." He looked pained for a second, but it was a playful expression, certainly not one of agony.
But soon, he did look a little awkward as he added, "You, uh, didn't happen to see what was on those pages, right? 'Cause it'd be really embarrassing if you did..."

Echo blushed a little, rubbing the back of her head with her hand. " Sorry about that.. I'm still getting used to all this." She laughed, though she felt a bit bad at his next question. " O-Oh no, I just glanced and say it was school work. When I saw you on the scanner- I did't want someone else to find it, assuming your- your name is on it.." She rambled off as her brows crinkled together a bit, glancing away at the rest of the setting sun, not that there was too much left. Echo hadn't actually known any others in their civilian forms, already questing herself about the people she had met..putting a quick stop to that, so not to drive herself nuts. She turned her attention back to Cadmus. " Guess you where throwing them away for a reason, huh? Sorry, should've just left them." She apologized with a awkward smile herself. unohime Asjskf poor baby. 15 is still a kid ;o; or am I that old?

Good going, Caelum. Now look what you did! the boy mentally rebuked.
Cadmus flashed the girl his palms and shook them erratically. "Oh, no! No, no, no, it's okay! Honest! It's just a stupid test with a stupid grade on it. I was just trying to get rid of it because it's, like, embarrassing... The grade, I mean..."
Silence met the teen's lips as he kicked at a stray rock on the rooftop and figured he was taking a downward spiral toward more awkwardness. G-gotta save this, pronto!
"You, uh, are still getting used to this? I'm guessing you're a new senshi?" Cadmus said, hoping it was okay to go the casual route. "How long have you been one?"
anime_girl10 he is totes a kid.  cadmus just as a big complex acting young since he wants to grow up Really Fast.

Echo laughed at his reraction. They sure where a mess already, huh? There had been much worse patrols after all..
She couldn't help but smile sheepishly at his question. "Haha, yeaaaah. I moved here back in April..a week later.." Echo posed, a little goofly. Hoping she wasn't giving too much away but oh well, she could use the helping hand. "It's been interesting.." unohime lol x) Aww. Same with her a bit, though the energy from being a Senshi gets her all giddy. XD
& ugh, sorry for the horrible reply crying lolEdit; 4/3/19 I'm back and noticed your back too; no big deal if you don't want to finish this or start over, etc. Just going through and sorting all my crap. ;w; lol

“I bet it has!” Cadmus said, mirroring her pose with one equally as goofy as his own. “Not just with all of the stuff that’s happened in the city, but the city itself. It’s so broad and varied, it’s difficult to get used to—and I’ve lived here my entire life!”
“If it helps, patrols around the mall and the park are the “best” places for getting used to everything, in my honest opinion,” the eternal said. “There’s not a lot of Nega encounters by the mall, what with the crowds, and a lot of people roam the park. Good for a meet-up or two with an Order member if you’re looking to network.”

Echo laughed when he copied her pose. He seemed to around her age, she thought but his fuku was just so detailed compared and she wondered how much stronger he was. When he mentioned growing up here, she wondered how long he had been a Senshi. How young could someone start? She already felt like a baby in regards to age compared to the few others she had met so far. While he made her feel better, she then felt like she should be doing more. Feeling so behind. " I'll defiantly have to remember that," She made a wincing face, taking a mental note. Glad to have another place to check out since her run in with, what she now knew was a General, didn't go to well. Though she should've known better at the time. " Where were you a few months ago." Echo chuckled. Remembering their phones, Echo brightened back up. " I'd love to add you to my phone, if that's ok?" " Can't have too many friends, right?" unohime Awe, yay! Thanks Uno. ;w;

Cadmus rubbed the back of his neck. “In all honesty, I wasn’t around,” he admitted. “My time as a senshi has been on and off due to, well, life. Sometimes it gets in the way.”
He seemed completely prepared to rant to this new acquaintance about the recent twists and turns his life had taken, but found his thoughts stymied when she asked for a picture. Rationality stepped in and had him nodding his head swiftly, pulling out his own phone for the same purpose.
Honestly, Cae. Everyone has their own problems. Even you. Don't lop it on someone else!
“Sure, that’s fine,” he said, smiling. He pulled the same pose he had before. “Should I do something more normal, or…?”

Echo felt a little bad when he answered her half-hearted joke about him not being around but then it also helped reassure her with her own troubles balancing her life of being a Senshi already. She thought it'd be a bit easier but then, she had never really been a social butterfly before and this became just a draining task through that alone. Much less the people that tried to kill you. She grinned though when he pulled off his goofy pose again. "Nah! That's great!" Echo laughed, lining up the the camera for the photo and giving a simple 3, 2, 1 before taking the picture. "There!" she said, showing him the photo before she set up for her pose as well, choosing too be silly as well. Really hope that they would be able to hang again soon, maybe on a better day.

Thankfully, Cadmus managed to hold his pose until the phone snapped a pic. Just after, he stumbled back to two feet, glad to be level to the ground again. His face brightened when shown his photo, though he couldn’t deny the Adult in his mind wagging a finger down at him to stop being such a Child.
“Hey, lookin’ good,” he said as took a few steps back to align his phone camera to Echo. He steadied his hand as the image came into focus, and then pressed the button to take a decent snap of the other senshi. At once, like the other times he did it, it registered her name into his contacts.
“Have a look.” He offered his phone to her. “Good? Or should I take another?”

Echo laughed, though glad he didn't fall back totally, or she would look like a mega dork standing there posed so quickly. She did feel how tricky it was to old though, trying to keep composed for her picture and thankfully for her skateboarding skills to boost her balance. She took a heavy breathe as she came out of the post realizing she started holding her breathe at some point. "Oh man, look at that dork." She grinning, "It's good, I think." By now the sun was almost gone completely, leaving Echo wondering if she should even bother with patrol that night. She was just happy to make another friend in this city. "We'll defiantly have to meet up again soon, ok?" Echo's question was more or less a demand but a cheerful one in the least. unohime Sounds good; sorry if I rushed the last post a bit. ;0; lol <3

Cadmus, pleased by her response, shoved his phone back into his pocket and gave her a nod. Something he couldn’t deny was the mirth that came with meeting another senshi he clicked with, even if the circumstances weren’t favorable (he still had to weigh the fact he failed a test for history, after all). Nevertheless, Echo had put that frustration aside, for now. She was a welcomed distraction.
Casting his eyes out to the horizon as the sun became to dip below the skyscrapers of Destiny City, the eternal also realized he too should head home. For dinner, at least. Cadmus still had a night patrol and he honestly didn’t want to do that on an empty stomach.
“You got it,” he said, giving her a thumbs up. “Anytime, anywhere. Just text or something, yea? I’d love to hang out again. See you later, Echo.”
Giving Echo a small wave, Cadmus took to the next rooftop, then the other, and the following thereafter, as he made his way for home.
