"When they found out they could mine such properties, they were in those caverns on a daily basis. They just weren't aware of the dangers that fully lurked inside."

The Dust Caverns are a place that most usually went to in terms of mining material to properly produce means to fight the Grimm. It was irony in it's finest because this is also where one of the most dangerous Grimm reside. Rumor has it that it connects to a secret entrance at the Mill asides from the typical cave entrance. Rumor also has it that something extremely powerful and frightening rests inside, full of wisdom and menace to boot.

Freed Ran || Adept || Student || Semblance [Type: Morgrim] ||
╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗

[ He had moved swiftly, following Morgrim’s guidance to the T. She never steered him wrong before, so if it’s her direction’s, he’d have no problems following them with the utmost confidence. However, his habit of focusing on her directions, with his speed and precision in avoiding objects, he completely lost track of Rain. The moment he realizes it, he comes to a skidding halt, forcing a line of dragged up dirt to follow his bare feet. Morgrim bends forward from his head, looking to the man’s face from upside down. “Maybe we should have carried her?” Ran exhales through his nostrils before using an index finger to lightly scratch behind one of his cat’s ears. After giving her a soft smile, he looks over his shoulder from his peripheral and focuses. Using his aura, he spreads it out, harnessing his attention to a single point; Rain’s aura. Within a few moments he eventually does find her, and by the feel of her aura, she’s fine. For now. And, there seems to be...someone with her?

Although he can’t tell from here, he knows she’s alright, and that’s all that matters. She’ll handle matters on her end, and he’ll continue forward himself. “Let’s keep going, Morgrim.” With a simple reply of yes, the cat continues her detection-like focus, guiding Freed to his goal. The ‘strong’ presence. Once more he dashes forth, leaping from ledges, dodging trees, keeping his eyes set forward all the way to the point of the focus. After crashing down in a crouch, with his arms resting over his knees Freed looks upwards through his peripheral. “This the place?” he asks the cat atop his head. Morgrim leaps down and takes a few steps forward with her whiskers twitching every so often. Her eyes go sharp, and her gaze pierces the darkness of the cavern set before the pair. As her mouth opens, a small stream of visible breath escapes. An ominous strange cold lingers about, giving the whole area an air of forbidden visage.

“Yes. Whatever this presence is, it’s here. And I have to say, dear, it is quite intimidating. I know you won’t listen, but please reconsider this.” Paying heed to her insecurity, Freed walks next to the focused cat and kneels down, placing a hand on her back. “You know I can’t do that. If this thing really is as dangerous as you say, then, we’re probably the only ones that can take it on. We can’t let it sit around here so close to those rookies…” he says in a rather darker tone. He wants to listen to Morgrim, but he’s right. If something with the ability to scare her exists so close to the school, he has no other choice but to deal with it. Morgrim sighs and shakes her head side to side. She knew he’d respond that way. Her yellow eyes blink, and upon opening, are now red. After scoffing, she turns to look Freed in the face with a worried expression before leaping back onto his shoulder. “Very well. I know...we don’t have a choice. If things get bad, I’m going to do that no matter what you say.” Freed smirks, not wanting to fight with her about it, considering how worried she is already.

With a heavy sigh, he stands back tall and starts heading for the inside of the brilliantly colored caverns. ]

"You should listen to warnings kid!? You a long way from the realm of reality and fantasy. But then again, the best huntsmen is a curious one. I just hope your curiosity doesn't end up making you a broken man." The voice would radiate through Freed's ears. Rather he react with fear, with a fight, or with curiosity, the blue haired vixen did not know. However, she did not approach the man looking for a confrontation. In fact, she was a little more inviting. Why? What was the reason. Maybe, it meant that she found someone that would listen. Listen to an old woman's tail, but would he believe it. It didn't matter. To her, ignorance is bliss until grim takes over your Kingdom. Then ignorance becomes the arch. heel of society. It almost, like history was repeating itself. That's, if one to believe the stories. The rumors. The legends. The hints that were left behind for them to discover. See, one would really believe that after the failure of the previous Remnant that a certain brother wouldn't try to keep from this new remnant from repeating the same faith. Still rumors, but not many people even know the old fairy tails around these parts. It's like this Remnant is so detached. Especially the people of Mistral. The survivors of the other Kingdoms, oh they started to believe. She was sure of it. Seeing what all that can occur. Its weird though, silver eyes. Where were they? Were they real?

Many things were running through Aurora's mind as she made herself present and in Freed's sight. Looking into his eyes, there was nothing. He wasn't one of silver or even grey eyes.Least, not from what she could see or tell. She could be wrong. Sighing, she should know the answers to this, but she couldn't find it. Who was Aurora? Depends on who you ask. Depends on where you ask. Some say she a disciple of the gods. Others say she just a crazy lunatic who wants to excite violence and chaos in the time of peace. But where was the peace now? Far too long, they ignored the writing on the wall. They ignore the truth. They ignored what this world truly was. Bed time stories, folktales, they would at least keep some messages and wisdom alive. But that was the past. It was time for a new group of nut jobs to be the one to spread these tales. These stories. Maybe...things can change. Or will a cycle be created?

"Have no fear brave traveler. No harm will be brought towards you. At least, fro me. However, deeper in the cavern I can not guarantee the same conditions", she started, looking to find any trace of doubt or annoyance from the man. She would notice the cat but would say nothing. It was something that was of concern but for different reasons. Not because of its presence, but the implication. What semblance did this man have? If he was hostile, he probably could give her some trouble. Major trouble. " My name is Aurora. May I ask you a question...Do you believe in Fairy Tales?"

There were two individuals there, three if she counted the cat. From what was being gathered in just her view of them, one might have stumbled into the caverns without realizing it. That usually was the case from most who went to the mill. There was a tunnel that led here if they took it. It was either that or he had some dumbfound luck of finding one of the entrances. Some led to dud solid rock ends. If he, and her for that matter, were there, it clearly meant they were getting ready to open Hell's Door without realizing the consequences. At least for the man anyways. It seemed like their illustrious female who spoke claims of Fairy Tales seemed to know exactly what was going on here.

"Are you going to tell him the story of the town that fell to wrath and fury," she inquired, her voice echoing through the moss grown caverns, water dripping throughout here and there. She had not to say much though as there was a rumble in the water nearby. As she was certain, they would turn to gaze at it, like she would. Only a large tail was seen submerging into the deep water, reptilian in form. "Pray not for worry, for it wasn't us who attracted it. All that mangling bouts of fighting above ground did. I just knew it was only a matter of time before it finally went out there to do something on those who would impede upon it's territory."

She hummed before dropping down the slopes of the cavern, her body landing down to join them with light grace as opposed to anything loud and resounding. She brushed invisible dirt off her blouse while grabbing her cane.

"Terrible thing is that he's not even the worst this cave has to offer. That being said, what tales do you have to share for a traveling priestess?"

Freed Ran || Adept || Student || Semblance [Type: Morgrim] ||
╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗

[ He had entered the caverns, and for a time, he couldn’t sense the presence of any other living organisms lingering within. Almost as if the entire place was hollowed out. Emptied and make into nothing more than a glorified shimmering hole in the earth. Freed’s eyes scan back and forth, carefully studying his surroundings, getting a lay of the land in case he needs to move about, but Morgrim seems to only be focused towards the depths of the cavern. As if something there were more important than anything going on outside. Her red beady eyes lock on into the darkness, prepared to unleash Freed’s restraints at any moment. “It’s quiet. Even if this is a cave, there should be plenty of things living here considering the bountifulness of the vegetation outside. Yet, there’s nothing around. Cave’s are ideal living spaces for animals this time of year, so why…” his questions come to a halt the moment a presence is finally felt. It had appeared out of nowhere, like a ghost of phantom showing up where normally it should be impossible.

A voice follows, carrying through the man’s ear from seemingly all directions, as if it had no singular origin point. It simply existed. Then suddenly in a snap, Morgrim’s head turns back forward, focusing on a single point where out of nowhere a girl appears. She doesn’t look young, but she doesn’t look old either. She has a mature youth about her. Beautiful, but forbidden. Like the most beautiful flower, embedded among the sun, unreachable by any mortal hands. But for Freed, right now, her presence holds a weight of uncertainty to it. Her brows furrow, and his hands tense. Did she come to fight? Luckily, she answers that question fairly quickly. She did not, and in fact, it appears she’s come to ask him a rather...interesting question. “Fairytales, huh.” he starts, kneeling down to gently stroke Morgrim’s back, and rest her concerns a bit. His eyes turn to the woman from his peripheral before he lets out a sigh.

“Well, Aurora. Yeah, I do. I believe that every story, no matter how ridiculous, has an origin. It’s factual in some way, shape, or form. And in fact… we’ve personally come across one way back when.” he says, standing back up, giving this new presence his undivided attention. His arms return back behind his cloak while Morgrim slowly swishes her tail to and fro. “What a strange question to ask a stranger so suddenly, when Grimm are rampaging about outside. Exactly what do you want with my boy?” she demands, a bit still unnerved. She can’t shake the feeling of something dangerous lingering about, and she’d want Freed to have no part in it. Unfortunately, he nerves would only worsen. Just as suddenly as the first woman had come, another arrives in just as mysterious of ways. “Wrath and fury…?” Freed questions, turning his gaze to this new arrival. Just where the hell are these women casually popping up from.

With more questions popping up at the minute, the final straw is the visage of a terribly massive limb of sort moving through the water channels of the caverns, making its way seemingly to the surface, if this priests words are to be believed. “If it’s going up, shouldn’t we do something about it? Whatever that is, there’s no way those rookies can handle it. They’ll be killed in no time flat!” he argues, turning to the direction of the fleeing creature, prepared to go after it. “Freed!” Morgrim calls out, forcing him to pause. “We can’t. We...it’s impossible. First, these women must be dealt with. Their being here in this cavern so randomly is concerning. They could be directly involved. Second, there is definitely something far more terrifying than that thing deeper in. If you of all Huntsmen goes on a rampage, it’d likely stir it into acting. We must exercise caution…” she pleads, forcing Freed to fight his urges to go and fight. Enough so that his clenched fists draw blood.

“Okay. Okay… I’ll hold myself back. But, lady.” he says, turning his gaze back to Aurora now. “This better be one hell of a fairytale.” ]

Seems they weren't alone. In fact, another woman entered the fray. One that Aurora wasn't quite familiar with. At least, not on the surface. Maybe, there was something more to her than meets the eye. She wasn't sure yet. Looking, she would be distracted by the large tail submerging into the water. So, the fools above have awakened it. Indeed, the Gods were playing a full deck today. This wasn't in the script as far as she knew, but it wasn't her job to look over MEIS. Just to provide Guidance. Hearing the words and remembering the tale, Aurora shook her head. "It's not time for them to know about the town that fell to wrath and fury. They must first learn exactly who and what they are before they can go snooping around that. I believe a certain brother wanted a more fair fight this go around." if Lunielle knew what that meant, then they would have to have a conversation later. Or maybe not.

"There are many fairytales that need to be told, but only one matters right now. I sure you are aware of the downfall of Vacuo, Vale, and Atlas. I assure you, that's not an accident. I also assure you that it isn't the first time that it has happened. History has a weird way of repeating itself. But I assure you, it wouldn't make sense until the end of my tale." She started, looking to make sure no more evil was coming out of the cave.

They seemed safe now as long as they didn't go in deeper. Taking her blade, she would think how much to tell. They didn't need know of maidens or silver eyes or the other fools that failed. Instead, just the main summary of things and how to stop it. If it could be stopped. Stabbing the blade into the ground, she leaned on it, looking at Freed and Lunielle as her chin rested on her hands that were layered on the hilt. A slight view of her a**, possible to be seen.

"We are nothing more than a miracle. For if the God's didn't decide to make the world over again. We would of never existed."

She would then look at the two again before continuing her tale.

"Long ago, there were two brothers. One brother, a lover of life and creation. The other brother, darkness and destruction. Everything one brother built, the other destroyed. One day, they decided make one last creation. Together. That creation became 4 relics. That's the basis of the creation tale. Many should know it but as I said earlier, this is the rebirth of Remnant. This time, the brothers not only recreated the relics, but the good brother added a few more things behind his brother back. He couldn't stand see the world destroyed again. Call it cheating. These artifacts have the power to repel grim and keep them at bay. This power use to be natural for some,..called silver eyes, but that is a true myth for another day. Mistral was safe for 200 years until now. Find the relic, uncover the secret, and this place be safe from grim again (minus the outskirts but nothing is perfect). It's also the key to taking back the other kingdoms that are loss. But I doubt anyone is brave to take that trip"

She would stop, shifting as she would stand up, her blade equipped and now resting against her shoulder..

"But, I have probably bore you already and not even gotten to the proof. I told you the world was recreated but I never explained why. There was an old witch. A person who hated humanity with a passion. Her name was Morai. Morai ended up collecting the relics in order to bring the end of humanity ,but ..it was too much for her. Not only did she destroy remnant, but she destroyed herself. What purpose? Some say she was jealous of the brothers. Others say she was a god that was stripped of deity. No one knows for sure. I know what you wondering. 1 vs the whole world seems crazy. But she wasn't alone. But why would someone help her? To some, it's not a crazy idea. Especially if you believe in reincarnation. She promised to make people gods. Even promised rebirth and the end of Grim's existence. What fool would risk their life and sanity in order to blow up the world, just to have it remade without the existence of grim? Many people. People who lost love ones. People who lost hope. People, who saw no end and no future in sight."

She would then stop. Thinking, the words kind of hit home, but why. It was curious how she knew some things. Also curious why she believe such a tail. The Dust Caverns were interesting. There was something powerful in there, but it couldn't be the artifact that was protecting Mistral could it? Had be something else. Or it could be a powerful grim. She wasn't sure just yet
.

"Knowing this. You have the keys to change the outcome of the future. So, what do you choose to do with it?"
she would ask. Would Freed share this information, or would he find it crazy and not share it? It could be a long shot, but didn't anyone else find it weird that the grim couldn't touch Mistral until recently yet the other kingdoms fell so easily? Especially Atlas.

Mentions of watching the menacing being stir out towards the outskirts had come up. She was less inclined to think of anyone outside however. She did feign a small amount of sympathy however. A hand was brought forth to her forehead as if to feel the dread of a faint coming forth, but all it actually served to do was push some of her back past the ear as the hand itself rested behind the lobe. She tilted her head all the more with curious purple hues to her eyes as she listened in. When the large roar erupted forth, she turned herself back towards the male, who had with him a companion that mentioned not trusting her or the other female for that matter.

"Oh, pray not, darling," she stated with what could be considered a British accent. "Do you wish to sully yourself with contempt of worries or use that mind of yours to venture forth into the abyss? Do choose the latter. Sides, what would you do in the water chasing after it? You're more a sitting duck without the grace to last long than you are to do anything else. Trusting me isn't flattery or an insult. Just knowing when I speak the truth of my intents without the babble of riddles and turmoil will have you reserve judgement of what you think of me one way or another. Don't...think of it...simply."

She listened to the tale. It was lovely, suffice to say anyways. And, it was one she had heard more than once and every single time, it never ceased to amaze her on how the storytellers and the soothsayers told it in a different mechanic suited to their in-grafted memory. She just nodded as much as possible and when the story had concluded, she raised her purple coated fingernails in the air as if to add something more.

"But clearly, she failed miserably. Success in some eyes, but you can't call making Grimm worse than what they already were a success. Rebirth, possible, yet and still the world is in a worse situation with her so called blessing and if we delved just a little deeper, maybe only one or two are roaming around with her immortal curse. That's the problem with witches though: They always get their abilities from a source guaranteed to betray their frail human heart and insecure life that's but only a brief vapor in the wind."

Oh yes, Luneille did her research on the History and Glyphs around these parts. They were fascinating lores and studies to learn if anyone survived them well enough. Clearly, the caverns held more, but hardly anyone could ever go further inside of them. For a moment she walked towards the female,
but in the same timeframe, she was walking right past the male and his cat from the far side of where she originally stood. She brought her staff up to illuminate some of the murals grafted in on the cavern walls.

"Fortunately, even earlier civilization paints the same tale. They're not around anymore, clearly." she brought the bright staff down, the metal clinking on the stone surface of the cavern grounds as she did so. "There's a lot at the Academy you can learn should you wish to lead the others on to this notion. First, are you still considering rescuing them or do you wish to hear more tales of how the old account was settled long ago?"
