Crocus was slowly developing a bit of a predictable habit these days. When he wasn't out with one of his fellow DMS for the evening, he oftened started at the docks for his night patrols. It was his usual way back home even before this sudden change in his life, so it made an easily adaptable routine for now anyway. He'd usually make his way there once he was finished up with work and school. He'd get his boat out some days, though he seemed to have less and less time for that these days. Once he was ready to head back home, he'd just power up and make his way back toward his own home. He was careful never to get too close to his home before powering down. He knew by now that every powered individual had a sort of sixth sense for others in the area. The last thing he wanted was someone catching on to him coming and going from the same place.
It worked for him, for now anyway. Sticking to what he knew was, in his opinion, the safest thing to do for now while he wandered around on his own. He was making his way around the docks that evening, using his mirrorwraithe on the occasional, not aware, citizen. He was still careful to not take too much from any one individual. He knew he had a job to do, but who said he had to leave a trail of bodies behind him? That just seemed wrong.
After zapping some energy from someone he turned around and made his way around one of the warehouses in the area. What was this energy he could feel in the area? It wasn't like anything he had felt before, which meant it wasn't likely someone in his own court. He had felt the presense of someone outside his court before, and yet this felt different still. He had been lucky last time, but Acubens had warned him that he could be attacked on his own. Luckily the last person had just wanted to chat. Would this person be the same? He stayed hidden behind the corner of the buidling for now, as he debated the options he had. Run? Talk? Find some way to observe at a distance? He knew the other was probably aware of his presense as well, that was a two-way street after all. He'd have to make a decision soon or he could be in for some trouble.

Patrols were violent for Morgan. They were chances to fight, chances to hunt, chances to rage and vent and forget, if only for a moment, the shitshow her life had become. The events of that year ate at her far more than they should. Far more than was reasonable. But it was a fuel to add to her fire as she ran across the rooftops and down alleys many would argue she'd no place being. Her faith in people was waning. She'd still not seen Rigel since he was taken by that General.
It was poor fortune for the Dark Mirror Senshi that it was Morgan who caught wind of his energy. The signature was unfamilar, never had she dealt directly with such a flavor of power. But it still was edged in Chaos and that was all she cared for. The warehouses offered a vantage point as she moved across the roofs, scanning the roads and small access points between them as she searched for the source. It wasn't a quick and easy locator, that energy signature radar. Her heels clacked sharply on the metal roof, peering over one of the edges as she thought she spotted a bit of gold and purple. Her target? Or something else?

Crocus had been more focused on someone coming around the corner, he could feel them getting closer and yet when he peeked around he didn't see them on the ground with him. He was confused for a second. He knew magic could do all sorts of things, did they have a way to sneak up on him without him seeing them? He hadn't encountered anyone that could be invisible, but that didn't mean it was entirely out of the question. If they were hiding from him though, there was a fairly good chance that they didn't want to just talk with him. He couched down then, ready to sprint if he needed to. Was he prepared to fight here?
He heard it then, metal roofs weren't something you could cross without making noise. Well, maybe if you were tiptoeing around barefoot. He looked up and despite it being dark, he could definitely make out just an outline of somehting peeking over the wall. "You might consider wearing different shoes? Or avoiding metal roofs, eh?" Either way, it definitely wasn't safe right here. Whoever they were they could jjump down on him before he could do much else. He quickly moved away from the wall, back out into the open where she couldn't just jump down on him and easily pin him where he'd have no chance at fighting back.

If she'd wanted to be silent, she'd have stuck to the ground below, where it was easier to control how her steps might echo against the pavement. The joking tone only made her eyes narrow more, pin-pointing where the source of the odd Chaos energy was due to the simple fact there the senshi was. Guy was.
Had he not been Chaos, she'd have said his uniform was very pretty--in a non-mocking way.
Seeing the figure back up, Morgan didn't waste much time, slipping down from the metal roof with relative ease, landing crouched to absorb some of the impact before lanching herself at her new found target. And a fist fainting towards his face, the real hit aimed towards his gut if he fell for it.

If the fact that they had been sneaking around before wasn't clue enough, the enemy senshi's actions nexxt definitely clued him into the fact that this wouldn't be a friendly conversation. Crocus didn't have anything against the Order senshi, which he could only guess she was one based on her white bodice. Acubens hadn't told him as much about them as she probably should have, other than the fact that she had left them. Whoever this girl was though, she definitely had something against him, just because of the color of his uniform. How rude, she didn't know him at all!
Sadly, Crocus had never really learned how to fight properly. He knew what his powers did, but if he used them there was a chance this would turn into a rather serious fight. Maybe he could talk his way out of this first. The time to think on his options were limited though, she moved so fast and was already throwing a fist at his face, which he did try to dodge, only for the hook to find it's intended target. He stumbled backwards, with the wind knocked out of him. He caught his breath quickly and managed to blurt out, "Hey! I was just trying to give you some advice!"
He tried to get back into a defensive position, this time he could try to be prepared to dodge properly, or even swing out with one of his own fists. Maybe after all of this he should thinking about taking some classes in self defense.

Morgan would have rolled her eyes if it wasn't for how it'd distract her from the fight. Advice? Seriously? "Who would take advice from someone who has an aura reeking and heavy from Chaos?" Her words were a snarl as she moved back in to try and catch his legs with one of hers, hoping to send him to the ground.
She wasn't able to kill, not like the Negaverse. This guy didn't feel... quite like them, but she didn't need to know the specifics. He was Chaos. He was an enemy. Likely, he'd be hurting someone, somehow. Just a question of when, it seemed, so far as any of the Chaos agents were considered. "They just let you run wild, lambs to slaughter, don't they? Don't even bother to train you." She sneered as she drew back a bit, watching him. Bluster, intentional, as she was aware that really none of the Order senshi she'd met either had any real training. The point was fighting in a war if none of them new how to even fight?

Crocus didn't think he really felt all that threatening, but this was the first time he was encountering someone from the White Moon side of things. Fausite had definitely had this very dark aura around him, but in the end they hadn't fought with each other. in a way he felt like they had bonded just a bit, which had surprised him considering all the warnings he'd recieved from Acubens to not do that at all. Maybe he was just a little too hopeful that his position in his court put him in a neutral zone.
This did him did a good enough ob of jumping back to avoid her leg sweep, it was surprising to him that she knew how to fight. This was definitely something he had hoped to avoid, but as she taunted him further he could only laugh. "Don't joke around, I know you're side is just as messy as my own. I highly doubt someone tought you how to do this. More likely you just picked it up on your own." He had some advantage at least, he knew from Acubens and Remarque that the White Moon wasn't all sunshine and rainbows like she wanted him to believe it was.
"I might be chaos, but I'm nothing like the Negaverse. I have my own goals and they don't involve killing people or destorying the earth." It seemed like she was backing down just a bit, he still kept his defenses up though. just in case she went in for another swing.

"Do you think anyone has their s**t together in this ******** up mess?" Her smile was acid, looking down at him as if explaining a well-known truth to a child. "There is no innocence here. Everyone seems to be guilty of some crime in this war. Just a question of whose hands are stained with blood."
Had Crocus ever mentioned this notion of a group being neutral, she might have laughed herself silly.
At least the kid had the sense to dodge, and had a grain of smarts to not trust whatever someone said here. That much she would give him credit for. No more, no less. His dismisal of the Negaverse and his own standing made her roll her eyes slightly and toss her head a bit, the gold chain and feathers in her hair chiming as she tried to get her hair off her shoulder. "Chaos seems to have a knack for corrupting. Almost seems like politics--people get into it with warm, fuzzy ideas of what they want to accomplish to help others, and end up screwing things up worse for their own gain as time goes on." She lifted a brow at him expectantly, an invitation for his rebuttle.

Uh no, Crocus didn't believe any really 'had their s**t together' as she put it. However, there were likely people that were comfortable with their standing in the war. He had no doubt that there were blood thisty people on every front. One day he'd probably discover someone within his own court that he didn't like, didn't trust. It was true that they were Chaos, he wasn't that ignorant. Remarque hoped that Mirrorspace held some sort of answer for them, but it could just as easily swallow them all whole one day.
"It's not like I had much of a choice. Did you even? I'm sure someone just happened to cross your path and told you all these 'truthes' about a war that you didn't have a choice but to join." Katya had even threatened him the night Acubens had come across him in the park. He wouldn't have been able to escape that night if he wanted to, but he had come to terms with the DMC given some time. "There's no rule that says we can't get along at least. You and me that is. I'm sure there are people within my own court I can't trust, I'm sure the same can be said about yours."

The kid's ignorance made her laugh again, a bright sound that didn't match the malice in her eyes. "Before I awoke, a Negaverse agent took my starseed, along with that of another senshi who tried to distract the agent so I could escape. My starseed was recovered by other White Moon senshi, I lived, and awoke. That senshi died in the hospital, never to awaken again without her starseed. So no, kid, I was never given a choice," she finished with a hiss. "The choice was made for me when the b*****d thought he had the right to mindlessly steal souls and rip apart lives."
One day, she would have blood on her hands. Of that much she was sure. It was merely a question of when for her.
Morgan began to take slow steps to the side, her eyes trained on the Chaotic senshi. Get along..? What sort of game was he trying to play? "The White Moon has no court," she clarified after a long moment of silence. "To have a court would suggest having a power herarchy. We have none." Those that thought otherwise were wildly misjudging the situation, or were wistful in their stupidity. Again she went silent, continuing her pacing. Slowly forming a gradual circle around him, really. "What would be the point of such an arrangement, to you?"

Well, Crocus had to admit that was rather terrifying. That could have easily been what Katya was suggesting happen to him if he tried to run away that evening. He knew he wouldn't have been able to make if far before Acubens chased him down. Even Fausite didn't seem happy to be caught up in it all, really he'd been lucky enough to run into someone like him rather than whoever had attacked the girl in front of him. So maybe he was a little ignorant, he was still new to this after all. It didn't come as much of a surprise tht they didn't have a heirarchy, only because he'd heard about them through members of his own court.
"Well, that's where the Dark Mirror Court is a bit different. It's probably easier because we're small in number. I have a Prince I can seek answers from and that is happy to help guide me." Remarque had sought him out early, had helped him get a better understanding of the goals of his court. Trying to use Mirrorspace as a second home should the White Moon lose in their fight against the Negaverse.
"For me? Options really...a helping hand. I don't have anything against either side really, but I have a few connections to the Negaverse. I could very well help you seek your vengence. It's not like I'm fond of anyone dying. I could come across something I don't like in my court and I might need help to get out one day. I have my reasons for staying now." He thought of his parents and sisters. He knew the consequnces of switching sides and wasn't willing to put his family through that. "Who's to say we couldn't benefit from a little friendship?"

Morgan nodded her head absently, accepting the reasoning for how the organization was... different. She never had heard any real counts for White Moon Senshi, but after what she'd seen thus far, there were simply too many of them to really bring them all together. Too many different opinions, backgrounds, so on... it'd never work.
Did she trust the blond? Not remotely. He painted a pretty picture, this idea of having friends all around, people he could trust in case things went down-hill. Her nose wrinkled though at the concept. "If you play me, and use anything I tell you to aid the Negaverse to harm or kill others, I will take you out." She ceased her circling and remained still, focused intently on the Dark Mirror Senshi. "It's not vengence I seek. It's protection for my family and this city. I won't tollerate mindless killers here." It was all the Negaverse was to her. "If you aren't among that count, and don't plan on aiding them with their death tolls... you might be right about having contacts around."
Friendship? Hardly. Not something she was going to be giving lightly to a Chaos agent until she had more of a sense of his reasoning and goals. But alliance? She could offer that for now. "Is that fair to you?"

If it meant she wouldn't be kicking his a** today, he was quite happy to a simple alliance. There was no need for them to be the best of firneds for this to work. He was just hoping that someone could keep him in the loop. There was plenty he didn't know about either side. "I would never. I don't wish to be a part of anything like that." He already had a chilling experience at the docks, something that would make him look twice every time he ventured there.
"That seems fair enough to me." He took a chance by stepping forward and holding out his hand. "My name's Crocus." He was hoping that by giving her a name she might just trust him a little more. Remarque had his own allies in the White Moon, it was time he made some of his own. He certainly didn't want to just sit by and watch the Nega's destory them. His court just had a back up plan, honestly he was hoping they'd win the war.

Actions would speak louder than words. She disliked putting her trust in anyone, and largely would be waiting for the other shoe to drop with this kid, but she still stepped forward to meet him when he offered the introduction. "Morgan," was the simple response, taking his hand in a quick, no-nonsense shake. Just as quickly, she dropped it and stepped back. Not for an instance allowing any miscommunication about how far her trust extended at this point.
"May this benefit us and ours both." It was as much as she would offer. A graduate hope that maybe this would extend into something useful, and not a backlash waiting to happen. No, she put no stock in it, the cynic in her was unable to do so, but some part of her was willing to let the offer stand. And simply laugh and recoil from the world when it eventually burned.

Crocus responded with a smile when she actually gave her name. It was a quick no nonsense handshake, but he'd take it over a punch in the face. Though, he was sure he'd have a nice bruise after that first punch she threw his way. Thank goodness he had been able to calm that down. "I truly am sorry about your friend. Or wel...you might not have been friends. But still, I'll keep my eyes out for these things from now on." He didn't like the idea of the negaverse throwing their weight around any more than she did. He might steal the occasional energy from a homeless person or two, but he wasn't a fan of taking lives to get business done. The challenge would be finding a way to stop it without it costing him his own life in the process.
"Don't worry, I'll keep my eyes out for you beautiful." He gave her one of his classic winks before turning away. That had been enough adventure for one evening, at least he felt like he'd accomplished something for once.
