The Initiative had been steadily working on rebuilding it's footholds outside the swamp over the sweeps since the loss of their old headquarters. The safehouses weren't as well equipped as they were prior to that, but efforts to rebuild their network had gone rewarded.

The slums of Chittentown held one such safehouse. Tucked away near the cities outskirts, to the unassuming eye, it seemed like yet another shanty lowblood hive. However, a small, graffiti-like symbol scratched into the wood barring a broken window signaled otherwise to those privy to the code. The inside of the hive was even less impressive; but once you passed through the secret door behind a scarcely kept pantry, a tunnel led into the side of Chittentown's stone walls. It opened up into a much larger chasm.

There, the hub of the Initiative's current activity could be found. While the far side of the cavern was reserved for the rebel's plunder, the atmosphere of the rest of the area was something that could only be described as half break room, half locker room. A rack of towels is positioned by the doorway you enter through, and the area is full of mismatched, although reasonably comfortable seating in an array of armchairs and cushions. You are encouraged to fill out any necessary reports and then take a breather! Snacks, power bars and energy drinks are stocked in one corner- which also explains the water coolers full of brightly coloured liquid- all of which you are free to help yourself to.

If they're not out at a site itself or collecting shipments from drop points, either Rasali or Byakko can usually be found here, offering guidance and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

This thread is only for trolls in the Phoenix Initiative.

Raw Material Points Collected: 114
Technology Points Collected: 93

Here, ground crew rebels can deliver stolen materials generated at military construction sites by filling out the following form. Rebels will have the chance to spend accumulated points later on in the event.
All stolen resources should be kept track of by the individual. Only report stolen points here, the other half should be submitted in the military daily work report. This means you'll be filling out two forms for each workday.

How to:
Divide your daily points collected by rping at the construction sites by 2 and round down, if necessary.
From 0%-50% site completion, you collect raw material points.
From 51%-100% site completion, you collect technology points.
(ex. 1st stage of construction. 6 daily points/2 = 3. You send 3 raw material points to the safehouse, and 3 to the military.
ex. 4th stage of construction. 9 daily points/2 = 4.5, rounded down to 4. You send 4 technology points to the safehouse, and 5 to the military.)

To deliver stolen resources, simply fill out the Phoenix Initiative Ground Crew Delivery form. Rp is optional, but as always, encouraged!

Selune Maidaz Lunara Zediam

Selune looked back and forth, over both her shoulders, and at anything that looked suspicious, terrified that someone would see her. She had never done this kind of thing before, and it set her on edge. The greenblood inspected every little mark on the walls, trying to avert her eyes from the derogatory depictions of various bludges and nooks, looking for the safehouse symbol. The symbol was obviously the work of a mastermind troll, with its elegant lines and yet simple design. It was a true master artist that had drawn that on the wall with paint from a spray tube. Whoever they were should truly feel like a hero and was surly a top agent in the rebel forces. Selune let out a sigh of relief as she found the correct symbol, and dashed into the building.

The greenblood finally relaxed just a little as she entered the building. This was it, she could be fine from here on out. The small greenblood child took off her backpack and pulled out the various stolen things she had obtained. They wernt big material things, but more like random small-storage-technology-devices she had grabbed off of various and random desks. Hopefully one of them had something interesting. There were also a bunch of papers and folders of more papers that she had shoved into the bag, and which she now upended onto the floor. The greenblood looked at the pile of stolen goods, hopeful that at least one of the things was useful to their cause.

Wander had to admit to herself...she didn't really like it here. Heading out with a box of stuff was stressful enough, but the eerie quiet managed to actually be worse than possibly being caught by the trolls in the livelier groundwork sites. She was used to living in dirty places, and going to dirty cities. But it just seemed bad. Slums... She was so lucky she didn't have to live out in this. Yes, she did live in a literal swamp, and resources were scarce, but there was still a support group. She still felt safe.

The only reason she could make it the whole way to the safehouse was because she trusted the PI. They wouldn't let anything bad happen to her. But, next time...she would like to come with a friend. Too spooky out here.

Once she was inside, she felt a little better. Who could feel bad around snacks? Of course, that's where Abby hopped off to immediately.

"M-make sure to s-save some f-f-for the r-rest of us!" Wander called over to her lusus, picking up some paperwork in the meantime.

"Hey, listen up." Most everyone here would (or should) have known by now that quieting down for Aprife to speak was a necessity or hardly anybody would hear what he had to say. "You all know why we're here tonight, so good work. With everyone's help, we were able to accomplish even more than I predicted." If that wasn't a good old fashioned boost to the morale, he didn't know what was.

"Still, there's one thing I wanna make clear before we go any further. You've heard it before and it should be pretty damn obvious by now, but this isn't a game. Infiltrating military operations is dangerous. If you think someone recognized you through your disguise, let us know."

Aprife's arms were crossed as he glanced around the room, his brief pause just enough to let it sink in. With that out of the way, it was on to the juicy details he was sure everyone actually wanted to hear.

"We slipped a lot of resources out from under the military's nose," he said, letting himself have a laugh at that, "We'll be able to continue increasing security back home and kickstart some old upgrades we had to forego. Se'lune, Wander... you two went above and beyond. Nice job."

Reaching behind him, Aprife retrieved a small pouch and dug inside. "The trolls on the ground were also able to help hook us up with a new connection." That's when he found what he was looking for, a handful of fake military IDs. He went around the room and handed them to select trolls—Luxara, Etsali, Stryke, and Tevini—while keeping one for himself, as well. "They're counterfeit. Don't go crazy with them and no one will be able to tell the difference. This was all we were able to order for now, but if we keep playing nice with our new friends, I'm sure they'll be a big help to us. If anyone has suggestions for other things you think might benefit the Initiative, let me know."

Back at the front of the group, Aprife cleared his throat. Almost finished.

"Now... about our old ships. With the data everyone collected from the fleet, we were able to locate the coordinates of one of them. We'll be using some of the ground crew's materials to work towards a way to access the ship. Vremea, Forera, Cerpin-" he gave them all short looks, though his eyes did linger a touch longer on Forera like he might be satisfied she was actually learning something from him, "-what you sent back was key to decoding everyone else's data."

Aaaand with that Aprife clapped his hands together once. "I think that's all the formal s**t out of the way." He looked at the other officers to confirm. "The safehouse is available as long as you need it, but remember not to file out all at once. Way too suspicious."
