Not all Pokemon are created equal, A Caterpie will never be stronger than a Tyranitar, a Sharpedo will always be a predator, and a Seel always the prey.
Those are the easily determined, dictated by nature and easily dictated statistics, But there is a measure of superiority measured in the life of a Pokemon that is much less quantifiable.
Some Pokemon are born with a keen wildness, a bond with nature and the flow of life and death, an instinct that drives them to continues to live, flee and fight for survival, these Pokemon are born, live and die wild.
And then there are the Pokemon who think a little bit deeper, the Pokemon who ponder over ambitions, who seek out more than just their next meal, they seek a substance to fill a purpose in their life, not just food in their belly. They question things, have curiosity about the world, and experience complex and various emotions.

Many of these Pokemon remain in the wild, some of them lead their less complex brethren, some are shunned, and some strike out to find what it is they want in their own life.

There is a undoubted bond between Pokemon and humans. While extremely different, there had never been any question that the two belong together, they strengthen each other, they grown each other in ways that the other couldn't on their own.
The intelligence and knowledge of a Pokemon is expanded. and humans are granted a wisdom and understanding that is difficult to find on their own.

This story is about the Pokemon, the special Pokemon living in the wild, who are more then just what nature dictates of them. These are individuals who have the power to go forth and shape their world, and shape the world around them.

A white Deerling is born, already the others know how different he is, he's not ablino, and doesn't suffer from the kinds of ailments that the albinism would present.
He has split hooves, something that is a clear defect.
At an early age he knows that he's different from everyone else in his herd. His father is the leader of the herd, and very focused on that job.

As a youth he asked a lot of questions, Questions that his family didn't have answers for, and quickly ostracized him. With out completely disowning him. He didn't feel like he belonged there, but didn't neciserily know where else he would go, or what he could do.

AS he grew older, and eventually evolved thanks to hard work of his own, he tough himself many things about the forest, observing other pokemon, and the world around him. Including his own Herd, though he had a lot to learn and a lot of questions he still searched out answers for.

He always felt alone though, being white, he was often not welcome in the herd, simply becasue he couldn't blend during the warmer seasons. During the winter he was more welcome.

One day he would meet with a Pokemon that he had never seen. A Pokemon that introduced himself as Lopunny, it would be explained that he is evolved from a Buneary, something that The Great Horned one knew of well as residence of the forest.
This one though, this one was different.

Lopunny was a pokemon who was previously partnered with a human, and for some tragic reason beyond any of their control they had to split up, and Lopunny was forced to return to the wild. Lopunny wasn't like any other wild pokemon though, and he knew things and how to discuss ideas with the great horned one that opened his eyes and his mind to new ideas and conversations that he was never able to have with others in the forest.

Lopunny had endless stories that he shared with the Sawsbuck, in exchange for the new knowledge The Great Horned one found the Lopunny a place to live, and would teach him how to survive in the wild.

The two form a friendship.
Eventually this life they live is interrupted. The arrival of humans in the forest, another predator race. Though with Lopunny's knowledge on humans, this does not scare him.
It does however frighten another group of organized intelligent Pokemon lead by a Wimsecott,
A Galade, and Lucario are the warriors, leading off.

These Pokemon are coming together to address a new threat with a few groups of dark Pokemon, lead by intelligent leaders, thus inspiring a greater intelligence from their followers.
