Personality:
Companionly- While Nalacko isn’t a social butterfly, she does enjoy being around others. She does well as a companion or sidekick. Not a leader, she prefers to be a follower.
Fun-loving- She enjoys the fun things in life; picnics in the warm sun, games, or the rare day off.
Suave- Despite her age, she can be quite polite and charming. Nalacko thought it would be a good way to get out of trouble if the need arose.
Uncritical- A bad habit of hers is her acceptance of anything she’s told without thinking it through. If someone told her they were a woodworker, even though they were holding a fishing rod, she’d probably believe them.
Agonizing- Nalacko is girl who worries over her choices. Will she impress? What if she doesn’t? What rank should she choose as a rider? Would she make a good lower cavern worker like her mother?
Ungrateful- She dislikes her father trying to butt into her life. Sure Nalacko wants a dragon, but on her own terms.
Amusing- Around others her own age, Nalacko does her best to be funny and keep others laughing. If she sees someone who's down or having a bad day she'll make the attempt to cheer them up. While she tries, she isn't always successful.
Solemn- When she must interact with her father she puts on a completely different face. Nalacko is always solemn around him. She doesn't feel she understands him, since for most of her life he ignored her. Most laughs feel forced when he's around.

History:
Nalacko is the unusual only daughter of a lower cavern worker and the rider Ly'bur, conceived as the results of a dragon mating flight. She was raised by her mother and other lower cavern workers with their children. She loves her mother, but was rather indifferent to her father as he never came around during her younger turns. Nalacko has a medium sized, oblong, near black cafe-au-lait spot on her torso. She's a bit shy about it showing, so its lucky its in an easy to cover spot.

As a young child she met young Riagan when her mother was filling in for one of the regular cretch workers who was down sick. Nalacko quickly found a champion in boy only a turn older than herself. She loved to follow him around whenever she saw him. Seeing how well the pair got along, her mother made sure they had time to get together frequently. As they grew up together, Nalacko realized what a true friend she had. She tended to believe practically anything anyone would tell her without thinking about it twice. Riagan seemed to be able to detect the lies and tell her what was true and what wasn't.

At about age 10, Nalacko developed an interest in playing in the mud. One of the potters of the weyr saw her trying to build weyrs and dragons out of the mud which didn't hold it's shape well. He brought her to the pottery shed and began teaching her the ways of clay. She loved every moment of it. When Riagan started learning glass work, she shyly begged some of his small pieces to use in her own pottery. A bowl she'd made encrusted with small pieces of glass around the lip was presented to him for a birthing day present.

Two Turns ago, her father started to take notice of her and coming around more often. She could tell he wanted her to stand for the clutches. He kept talking about how she would clearly impress a gold, and how much better she was. While a small part of her wanted to believe him, she'd also listened to Riagan on his views of unequal treatment. Nalacko knows she wants to impress, but any dragon would be fine with her. She knows she doesn't want to be a leader.

The young teen was in the stands rooting when Riagan impressed blue Basanuth. She couldn't have been happier for her friend. Now at 14 turns, she intends to enter as a candidate.
