Ignacio looked in the mirror, blinked, and blew a piece of hair out of his face. Hm. He brushed a piece of hair behind his ear in an attempt to control it, but at no success. The hair spilled back over, falling back in front of his face. He needed to do something with this. He liked it longer, but not this long. Between falling into mirrors, fighting gigantic spiders and helping Richard, acting, and generally going back to his comet whenever he could, he hadn't really thought about basic things about getting a hair trim. Vaguely, he flicked a few pieces of hair over his shoulder, letting them rest against his back. What could he do about this? He remembered the opening of the Destiny City Hospital, and then further remembered meeting a man and his exceptionally shy boyfriend. Adrien had handed him a card to his salon. Not a bad idea. That was how Ignacio ended up walking into the salon in the mid-afternoon, holding the card in one hand in case it conferred some kind of discount or at least a better cut. "Ah, hello?" Hopefully they accepted walk-ins. He hadn't really thought on that before going to the salon.

The pink looked fantastic.
Mostly because a) it was pink, and b) it was done by Adrien himself, which was always a bonus, he thought. He fluffed out the young woman's hair again and ran his fingers through the silken strands, making sure that it lay right, sweeping off the excess from her shoulders before he stepped back.
"Voila. You look perfect."
There was the usual amount of happy squealing, the hug, and then the happy prancing away. Adrien cleaned up his station, put everything back into its proper place, wiped down the counters, and heard the bell chime as someone came in through the front door.
Yuuri wasn't manning the receptionist box this afternoon because of classes, which meant every stylist to themselves. Adrien put the broom aside and ambled over to the desk, beaming a wide smile at the newcomer, who looked vaguely familiar.
"Hello! Are you here for a trim?"

Ignacio was briefly distracted by a woman winding by him, but he soon turned his attention back to Adrien. Oh, good, he was coming over. Probably meant that they did accept walk-ins... "Good guess," offered Ignacio, with a laugh, sliding the card further up his fingers to display it a little more clearly to the other. "You gave me this at some hospital opening party? I'm not sure you remember it, but," he gave a bit of a toothy grin, drawing the card back into his hand, "The name's Ignacio, anyway, in case you don't." He didn't really care if he was recognized or not, so long as the card conferred some benefits. Honestly he wasn't entirely sure if he cared about that either, he mostly just, well, needed a trim. Badly. "I think I let my hair get a little, ah," he blew a piece of hair out of his face, "out of control."

Adrien squinted at the card, then gave a yelp of recognition. "Oh!" he said brightly, and the expression on his face changed to one of warm welcome - not that Adrien wasn't generally welcoming already, but he was even more welcoming to people who actually took his advice and came here for a trim.
He beamed at the other. "Ignacio! Yes, great to see you again, I'm Adrien Davids, I own this salon, and I am so pleased that you're here, it's the best and I only wish Yuuri was here to see my hard work, but anyway, today's his day off because he has classes, but yes - "
He looped an arm through Ignacio's and all but dragged him over the floor towards one of the open chairs, spinning it around so that he could gently but firmly guide the man into it.
"Please do sit down, I'll totally take care of you. What sort of thing did you want? Just a trim or - " His eyes gleamed excitedly. " - more?"

The yelp drew a small laugh from Ignacio, but he did he best to seem like he wasn't laughing at Adrien. Best not to offend the owner if he was going to consider coming there in the future for any kind of trim-- His thoughts came to a halt as Adrien's arm was suddenly around his and Ignacio took a couple stumbling steps before finding equilibrium. "I'm sure Yuuri knows what hard work you do," offered Ignacio, giving a bit of a grin in turn, as he moved to sit down in the chair. As much as he enjoyed running, he had to admit, it was nice to just be able to sit down every once in a while and have someone else do the work... He wiggled his legs, a bit like a hyperactive little kid. Or a hyperactive grown man, as it were. At the gleam in Adrien's eyes, he laughed. "I can't do anything too crazy," he vaguely gestured at the air as if that explained that. "I'm definitely looking for a trim first and foremost, yes. My hair is a bit," he sighed, brushing an uncooperative piece of hair behind his shoulder, " long." Too long, really. Long hair was fine on Richard, and honestly a lot of other people, but not for himself.

"I hope he does, he's wonderful," said Adrien dreamily, momentarily getting sidetracked at the mention of his part time receptionist slash boyfriend slash roommate slash favorite person. "He's always working crazy hard, he studies too much, but, well, he's really smart, I just want him to know that things are going well here too - anyway - "
He reached around Ignacio for the cabinet, tugged open the middle drawer and whisked out a plastic cape, which he whirled around his new client with the sort of ease that indicated this had been done many, many times before. Adrien nudged the drawer shut with his hip, then slid a comb and a small, slender pair of scissors free of a container sitting on the counter. He maneuvered himself behind the other and stood there expectantly, smiling brightly.
"Oh, yes, it's a bit shaggy here at the ends," said Adrien with a nod. He fluffed the shaggy locks with his fingers, trailing them down a little to find the actual length, and then tousled the top a little to make it all fall more properly. "I can take a little off, I would say maybe an inch or two, three at the most, four might be pushing it. Do you normally part it in the middle like this?"

Ignacio couldn't help a chuckle at the dreamy sigh. Adrien was definitely fond of Yuuri--almost too fond, part of him wondered if they were in a honeymoon phase as it were--but it was also adorable, and Ignacio was not afraid to admit he did enjoy adorable things. At least, not anymore. When the cape was whirled around him, he couldn't help the small, "Whoosh," noise he let out, giggling afterwards. He then lifted up his hands and waved them back and forth, adding to the whoosh. Ignacio was honestly a little goofy, but Adrien didn't seem to be remarking on it, so Ignacio didn't particularly care. He'd calm down when Adrien was actually messing with his hair directly. ... Mostly. "Yeah four might be too much, I don't want it to be that short," Ignacio scrunched his nose disapprovingly. He had a hair cut that was closer to his head when he was younger, mostly because his father insisted. He hated it. "Yeah, center part's where I usually have it. I think it frames my face well?" He lifted an arm to mess with his hair, but quickly realized it was covered with a cape, so settled for just fiddling with the edge of the cape. "I'm sorry, I can't imagine this is particularly an exciting cut. Sounds like you have some far more exciting ones sometimes."

He was already liking his new client very much; Ignacio's enthusiasm for this made Adrien enthusiastic by extension - and since he was a naturally bright and enthusiastic person in general, this only added to the bubbly exterior and the cheerful demeanor and the desire to make it a good experience for him.
"Two and a half then, probably," said Adrien brightly, running his fingers through the long, straight longs again. "Looks like you have a bit of split ends here that'll need trimming, but I can even them out for you so it's not a mess. And then shape it up a bit more so it all falls nicely."
He made a tsking noise in the back of his throat. "Nonsense. I love cutting hair, and I definitely like making sure that everyone has the same sort of good feels when they leave, okay, it's going to be great, and you're going to look wonderful."
Adrien patted Ignacio's shoulder amicably. "Now stand up, let's go get your hair washed before I get started!"

Ignacio tried to be enthusiastic. Sometimes, it was hard. There were still portions of him that were inclined to closing up, and there was a reason why he perhaps had a few specialists-- But it was hard not to be enthusiastic for a pampering hair trim with someone who honestly seemed equally as enthusiastic. It was nice to be able to play off that enthusiasm, especially since he didn't even seem to mind that Ignacio wasn't really asking for a whole lot nor did he mind that Ignacio couldn't exactly keep himself still. "I'd definitely like it to fall a little better. It feels a bit ... lifeless right now," laughed Ignacio, as he blew another piece of hair out of his face. It was probably because there was more weight weighing it down... When Adrien declared that Ignacio was going to look wonderful, well, he had to believe it. Partially because he was already there and it was too late to back away, but mostly because Adrien really seemed to love his work. He was probably fairly good at it then, too. He grinned as he came to his feet and followed Adrien's lead. "I do love a good hair wash." One of the best parts about a salon day, honestly.

Adrien made a humming sound in the back of his throat as he considered the top of Ignacio's head. Not many people were into change, as he had well learned in his years of study and owning the salon - but Ignacio, at least, seemed willing to try.
"It's the best part of getting your hair cut, everyone knows that," said Adrien brightly. He led the other to an empty chair and waited until he was situated with his head back into the basin before flipping on the water. It gushed out in a stream of cold, which was hastily turned to hot, then eased to slightly less hot as Adrien tested it.
"This is the part where you tell me about your life," he said with a cheery grin. "I love hearing about my clients, and we were together at that hospital thing and all."
He ran his fingers through Ignacio's wet hair to make sure that it was all wet before he added several pumps of shampoo to his palm, rubbing them together before he briskly and expertly began to scrub it onto Ignacio's scalp, strong and sure without being too much.

Ignacio snorted. "See, I'm not sure my life is that interesting," teased Ignacio, closing his eyes as he felt Adrien's hands massage his sculp. This was definitely the best part of the whole process. The warmth from the water was so relaxing that even his bouncing leg stopped itself for a few moments. Ah. Nevertheless, Adrien was right -- he knew the drill. "Well, you already know I'm Ignacio and I'm an actor. I'm twenty-five?" He laughed at how typical that detail must have been. "I don't even know when I got to twenty-five. Time seems super fast and yet very slow all the same, you know?" He returned to fidgeting with his cape for a moment, before his hand settled at his side, tapping against the seat to an unknown rhythm. "I've lived here most of my life. Came up through the local school system and all. Did you?"

"Nonsense," said Adrien briskly, as he ran his fingers expertly through Ignacio's hair, thoroughly lathering it up with the shampoo. It was his favorite kind, the faint scent of vanilla rising from the basin they were both leaning over. "Everyone's life is interesting. I've never met anyone boring."
This was half a lie. There were plenty of boring people in the world, Adrien just chose never to associate with them, because he himself got bored easily and he didn't want to get bored of anything. He would never get bored of Yuuri, no matter what the other thought.
"I don't know how I got to my age either, twenty-five is a perfectly respectable age," said Adrien grandly, as he flipped on the water again, rinsing his own hands before he held the sprayer over Ignacio's head. He slowly ran his free hand through the thick, straight locks, making sure to get all of the suds out. "Did I go through the local school system? I mean, I went to school, but I didn't like, go to school."
Meaning college. He'd gone to cosmetology school, but that was different. Adrien set the sprayer down and reached for the conditioner now.
"Also time is an illusion, didn't you know?"

Ignacio had to admit to himself, he was fairly sure he would just pay for his hair to be washed like this... but he wasn't going to say that aloud. No need to invite extra fees. Twenty-five is a perfectly respectable age made him think that Adrien might have been a bit younger than he was. Probably not by much, though. He ran his own salon, at the very least, and that meant that he was probably at least in his twenties. That would have been Ignacio's guess from his appearance, too, and the fact that he was at that hospital party anyway. He got the drift of the fact that Adrien probably hadn't gone to college, but Ignacio wasn't particularly bothered by that. "Cosmetology school, yeah?" That would have been Ignacio's guess, considering that Adrien was already running a salon. Perhaps business school too, or an MBA, but since Adrien had seemed to imply he hadn't gone to college, that wasn't exactly a possibility. Ignacio snorted at the time is an illusion remark, adding, "The more you read scientifically about time, the less sense the universe even makes."

"Yes, although I graduated early," said Adrien brightly, ignoring the unpleasant fluttering sensation in his stomach at this. School was never a good subject, especially not when it reminded him of all the disappointment he had left behind for his mother. "My father helped me put together the loan and everything to get my salon, it's my pride and joy."
He lathered up liberal amounts of conditioner into Ignacio's hair, making sure it was thoroughly covered before he reached for the hose again, slowly rinsing it all out. "Has the universe ever made sense?" he joked, and then laughed. "I like to think of it all as one big cosmic joke."
Adrien ran the water until it became clear again, and then he shut everything off, reaching for one of the fluffy white towels on a shelf beside the basin. He rubbed it over Ignacio's head, making sure to get the majority of it, then tucked it under as he pressed a hand to his shoulder to get him to sit up again.
"All done. Back to the chair!"

There were, admittedly, a lot of things about the universe that made little sense to Ignacio. He honestly didn't understand how he was still alive, for the most part. There were several reasons why he should have been dead. And yet there he was, sitting in Adrien's pride of joy of a salon, having his hair washed. And he was also a super-powered super soldier of a comet out in deep space. "Agreed," Ignacio snorted, closing his eyes as he let his hair be washed out. He really did love this part. "Time doesn't make sense, space doesn't make sense. But here we are. Might-as-well make a joke out of it." Part of him was disappointed when the washing was done, but nevertheless, he got up and headed back over to the chair, sitting himself down it. His hair looked like a wet dog at the moment. Ignacio couldn't help laughing at it. "Alright, well, now that you've sogged me up..."
