Most people would never think to break into their bosses home, or be let in by the landlady, it was considered over stepping and rude. Seung however had gotten the land lady, who knew him fairly well, to let him into Quinton's place as he had mentioned wanting to check on him - make sure he wasn't over working himself. Maybe it was the reason he gave, or the bags of groceries which he carried, he managed to convince her into letting him inside.

That had been half an hour ago and so far the time had been spent between cooking and fending off the others cat who had decided they wanted to taste test dinner. Seung couldn't help but wonder if he should have considered something else other than a crab stew, something without seafood, but he was already started on his course and that was what he'd bought groceries for.

Cleaned rice was sitting on the stove top, slowly cooking in a pot, while the stock pot was cooking away on another burner filled with anchovies and vegetables. It was something he hoped the other would like, he wanted something warming and filling for Quinton - he didn't think the other ate enough at times.

While he worked on cooking he had a tablet sitting on the counter as he read over some new paperwork that he and Terry had been sent about adopting. Terry had, thankfully, a translated version while his own copy of the paperwork was written in hangul as it was still easier and quicker for him to get through reading. So far everything had been going well, though it was taking longer than he wanted it to, why did such things need to take so long?

Moving away from the counter top, to grab the crabs from the fridge he started to break them apart, into manageable sizes, on the counter top on the cutting board he had.

The day has been long and even though he had gotten chased out of his office by the staff, damn that standing order of his dad’s, Quinn still had s**t to get done so rather than fight a losing battle he headed out. As far as anyone at the office knew he had headed home but instead the young businessman decamped to the university campus library where it was quiet and he wouldn't be bugged. Or babysat.

Two hours after he was chased from the office Quinn finally got home. With arms over filled with paperwork, groceries, and takeout he fumbled to get the door open finally nudging it open as he greeted his cat, “hey baby, I’m home. Smells like the neighbor is cooking something good. Think we could weasel our way into-” he cut off abruptly as he got the door fully open and spotted his rather unexpected guest. “Seung? ********!” That exclamation was because his cat apparently gave up trying to get the crab and went to beg food from Quinn… by knocking his armful of stuff across the floor.

“ISIS NO!” Quinn ignored the groceries, it was frozen stuff anyway, and his papers in favor of scrambling to grab the fried chicken that the large cat had caused to spill onto the floor. Fast reflexes and luck had him get all of it up with only a large chunk taken out of a drumstick. “If you get sick I’m not cleaning up after it,” he scolded his cat as he dealt with the chicken. Awww who was he kidding… if his cat so much as sneezed he was more than willing take her to the vets for a check up. With the chicken debacle dealt with and his door shut the young man focused on the other mess currently gracing his loft. “So um… Seung. Why? Who? Damn, that smells good.” His stomach rumbled and reminded Quinn that he was pretty late when it came to food.

Isis was a pretty persistent cat, she'd been begging since he'd started opening up food stuffs, the begging had gotten worse when he'd opened up the package of crabs to leave in the fridge to thaw so he could break it up as he was now doing. So it was, because of her persistence, that he was surprised when she took off and went to do something else.

Turning, just in time to catch her tackle her owner, he shook his head. "Sorry." He really was sorry, Quinn looked like he'd taken a good hit from the large cat. At least the food was saved, mostly anyway, from the cat not that Quinn would need to be eating that...fried chicken, if his nose was correct. His own food would be done soon enough for the other to eat, a nice proper meal.

"She's hungry, I didn't know if I should feed her - to help." And with him cooking it had sort of gotten her going, so in a sense her tackling Quinn was his fault...sorta.

"Landlady let me in, told her was making food for you - you work too hard." Shrugging he flashed a smile to the other. "Not done yet but crab stew will be done soon, you can help if you want." Though if he remembered right the other didn't cook, was it because he couldn't or just didn't know how? He honestly didn't remember which was the reason though.

“I got it. You wouldn't be able to feed her anyway. She figured out how to get into her food so I've have to literally lock it up.” Quinn waved away any concern his friend had. Isis was his cat, it was up to him to feed her or atleast make sure she got fed if he wasn't going to make it home on time. “Besides she isn't starving. Just being a pain.” He gave the meowing mooch a fond nudge with his leg as he maneuvered into the ‘kitchen’. Since he lived in a loft really the only room that was a room by definition was the bathroom. He quickly dealt with the floor chicken and dished up his cat’s meal.

As his friend explained how he got in all Quinn could do was sigh. He loved his landlady but sometimes… sometimes he wished he had a actual house and not a apartment. “Yeah just let me clean up first.” He eyed the prediction his friend was in the middle off and silently wondered the last time he had cooked and not just microwaved food. It wasn't that he couldn't cook, he had actually made a few meals for his ex, but that he had been too busy to actually do so. Or at least that's what he told himself as he gathered up the Isis created mess, the papers stacked on his drafting table by the door and the frozen dinners into the freezer. But since Seung was here, and he couldn't very well be tossed out, it looked like Quinn would have to make the time to cook. Or at least help out.

“So what can I do?”

"Oh." Surprised, though really he probably shouldn't be, the young man found himself smiling more. She was a smart cat, also rather large, he could see the trouble she was going to cause as he worked on dinner. "I thought so, thought to distract her." From what he was doing, it wasn't that he doubted Quinn in feeding her. He really didn't see his friend, and boss, as not taking car of his pet.

"Not much....move things into pot when I tell you to. Isn't hard to make but is good and warm - perfect for cold weather." At least he thought so anyway. It was something to curl up with and enjoy, not to mention it was healthy. "Might need help keeping Isis at bay." And from making some sort of mess of things, as he had a feeling she might be tempted to make a pass at the food.

As the crabs were moved to be cleaned really quick, and drained, Seung set them aside. Hopefully they were out of reach of Isis, as he was moving away from them, removing the top from the pot he was cooking vegetables in he gave them a check over before going to fish out the small cloth bag with the anchovies in them. "Need the vegetables." The rest which were chopped up in sitting waiting in a bowl.

“Short of playing with her or feeding her there is no real way to distract her if she feels like getting under your feet.” Quinn shook his head with a smile full of fondness on his face. He adored his cat but she was sometimes like a hyper child who needed constant supervision. But still he loved her, just as she loved him. Silly kitty.

Watching what Seung was doing Quinn did his best to stay out of his way in the small kitchen. “Oh. Oh, of course.” It took a moment of fumbling before he passed the requested bowl to his friend. “Hey while you're here I wanted to talk to you about the Olympics. You're going back for the Lunar New Year right?” If Seung was going back for the holiday they could explain away staying for the Olympics as part of the job but it would be best if they found an extended place to stay. Honestly Quinn had been thinking about it for a while now.

As a individual company they were still small but as a representative of his father’s company he really should get somewhere to actually call ‘his’. Not some hotel room although it was so much easier to stay at one. It could also double as a place for guests and the like to stay. He just needed to find a place that would work and was affordable, all in a country he was unfamiliar with. Fun.

Glancing up from the pot, where he was adding in the vegetables, he nodded his head. "Was planning to visit some family - maybe not all. Fathers is in Seoul, it's closer to where Olympics are...though still not close. Mothers family is down in Busan. Traffic will make trip down there takes hours - too long...also high speed train that is new goes from Seoul to Olympic site." And was, according to the plans he'd seen that the Olympic presenting team, would take a bit over an hour to get from Seoul to the Olympic site - it would be fast. Though he knew tickets would be expensive and hard to get.

"Lunar New Year is three days...workers won't be going to work for those days. Is time to visit family and spend it, normally, with eldest members - to also show thanks to ancestors." Though not every family paid respect to their ancestors, it was something non-Buddhist families avoided, it was a time to gather and spend reconnecting.

"Most businesses closed for Lunar New Year because of this." And the country, every year, flooded with people who didn't normally live in Korea but were coming back to visit and stay with family for the three days. The same could be said for China and other Asian countries where the holiday was celebrated.

Stirring the pot of food, smiling at the warmth coming up from the pot of food, Seung had already booked plane tickets for them to get to Korea for the Olympics. "I booked the tickets on the plane for us all to get to Korea and booked a hotel at the Olympics site. I wanted to get the plane tickets before they sold out from people coming back for Lunar New Year...it is half way through the games." Which meant they'd be hosting the world, with all eyes on them, but also celebrating their biggest holiday and would bring millions flooding back into the country - it was a lot.

“Makes sense. It’s like Thanksgiving or Christmas or New Years or…. Hell, any of the major holidays here in the states. Travel is insane and you really become grateful for the family that lives in the same city so you don’t have to spend an hours driving to see them.” Quinn wasn’t surprised that Seung had already got the tickets, that guy always seemed to be two steps ahead of him. “That's great, I was going to see about getting the hotel and everything soon. You just beat me too it.” As his friend continued to work on the food Quinn set the ‘table’ with plates and silverware. Since the space was small the kitchen had a build in counter space to eat at, technically he could have cleared off his work table and use that to eat on but since it was covered in documents and paper and various detris it wasn’t the easiest thing to do.

“Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about everything while we eat. I’ve got a stack of questions, ideas, and plans to go over and you being here just means we can get through it that much faster.” Even after spending all day working and even some extra time at the library there was still so much more to do. No matter how much it surprised Quinn to see Seung in his place it turned out to be a great thing.

"Yes....New years is important. It is...time for family and everyone grows one year older during Lunar New Year. For me...I have family in two big cities - far away from each other. Seoul for my fathers and Busan for mothers. Visit fathers family first, out of respect, and clean graves then would normally go to mothers family...but too far this year." With Olympics also going on...it would be too hard and too time consuming. Plus there were other reasons as well.

"Terry and I are going to work on adoption things in Korea while there...so no time plus Olympic people - so many...traffic will be bad." Worse than usual during the Lunar New year, and it was normally horrific. He would see his sister when he visited his fathers family. She would turn up, it was expected of her, and then they could talk and spend time together. He really couldn't wait to see some of his cousins, his aunts and uncles and paternal grandparents...not so much. He still had to keep Terry a secret from them, and he rather disliked that. He was good at secret keeping, he'd had a lot of practice with that, but he didn't like it when it came to hiding his husband and their plans to adopt.

"Had to arrange early - I knew we would need to. Planes home during this time sell fast - so many going home. With Olympics also it means more competition. Bought as soon as I could. Hotel also..." Though that was more due to international people coming to Korea, as most Korean's would stay with family.

While the food worked on finishing itself, it was almost done, he settled himself to listening to whatever questions the other had for him. "Ok, ask whatever you need to. I will answer the best I can." And he'd finish their dinner and they could get to eating and talking. It wasn't bad to talk business over dinner, not if it got things done.

Quinn mentally agreed with everything Seung was saying, even nodding along. He couldn’t blame the other guy, the country was going to be inundated with people so traveling to see family that was even further away wasn’t exactly practical. But working on the adoption totally was! “Thats great man. Really hope it won’t take too much longer, you two really would make great dads.” He tossed a smile at the younger man before going to gather, and organize, the papers that he had shoved on his work table after picking them up off the floor. Seung had the cooking well in hand and with the counter set and just waiting for the food there was no time like the present.

Grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge and with his stack of papers at hand the young businessman settled down on the barstool at the counter and started to flip through the information he had in front of him. “Ok, so first thing's first. When you are able to get me the hotel and flight info and I’ll see if I can put it in for reimbursement.” He made a note and silently wondered if he could actually save even more money by using the company jet… he would likely get turned down but if they proved it was for the job. It probably would be cheaper the a commercial flight and hell of a lot more comfortable.

His questions and observations kept coming even as the food was dished up and continued well into the meal as the duo enjoyed Seung’s stew. The night really had turned out highly productive, even if anyone found out they would both likely be scolded since Quinn shouldn’t be dealing with work after hours. But what they don’t know won’t hurt them… or him.
