And he had at least thought to scope it out as Oort a little earlier on and it had been quiet back then and - whilst it wasn't any guarantee of the 'now' - back then hadn't been that long ago.
He was back to being Briar however, dressed simply in tracksuit and sneakers with an extra jacket and gloves as an acknowledgement of the colder weather and he'd brought snacks too - well at least a few - like cookies because he liked cookies and some sandwiches–
And some fish in case a certain ginger-furred star cat came, although he found himself wondering if if he'd thought to bring enough - because calculating was kind of hard when he wasn't sure just how many people were going to show.
A part of Briar couldn't be a little nervous as he wandered over to the park bench where he had set down the hamper that he had 'borrowed' so that he could carry the stuff because he hadn't done anything quite like this before - because normally he settled for just doing whatever his family and/or friends came up with–
It was usually something Halloween-related - was almost always Halloween-related because his birthday happened to fall at the very end of October.
This year Briar had decided to do something different, although he'd phrased his message along the lines of asking whether Peter and the others wanted to hang out on the day after his birthday - because whilst it wasn't the birthday day itself it was only one day out which made it close enough–
And it wasn't everyday that one turned 15
