The afternoon sun's rays struck through the trees canopy, casting flecks of light across the forest's rugged floor. With parasol in hand, a lady in yellow and black silently walked among the tress. Never before had she seen such magnificent beauty in the tall silent giants. The air was still and it was unnaturally calm and quiet. Something was wrong.

Raven loved the forest. It's beauty was magnificent, the trees green. Today was a bit odd though....... no sounds although Raven never made noise herself, the animals were quiet. Raven liked camping and practically lived in a cabin in the middle of the woods she owns so she knew this was wrong. Raven looked around with her warm, brown eyes for anything that could've possibly scared the animals. Raven was wearing her usual outfit of a rainbow shirt and blue jeans so she could menuver more and the rainbow shirt didn't match or clash with her pulp fiction, brown red hair. Raven saw someone up ahead.

Iona slowed her pace and looked ahead. Was that a person up ahead? In rainbow colors? "How strange," she murmured under her breath. The sounds of the forest returned and Iona continued to move towards the figure ahead. "Hello? Who may I ask am I speaking to?" She didn't want to meet someone she'd later regret.

"My name is Raven." Raven told her "I'm freaked out by how quiet the forest is because it usually means trouble, I know, I sorta live in a forest nearby although I do have a job."

"Pleased to meet you Raven," spoke Iona as she gave a simply curtsy to the woman. "Where I come from there are not as many trees, so I didn't know the silence was a terrible thing." Iona gave a puzzled look towards Raven. "A job? What kind of service do you provide?"

"I'm a forest ranger, which means that I help take care of a reserve." Raven said, smiling whisfully "It was a wolf reserve in the Canadian shield, which is where my house is." Raven loved keeping the wolves safe, even if it was minimum contact, only if a wolf was near dying or sick.

Iona listened carefully. She had seen pictures of a wolf in one of her tutor's school book, but never seen one with her own eyes. "What do you mean was a wolf reserve? Is it no longer a reserve for wolves where you live?"
"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. How rude of me." Iona made another curtsy to Raven. "My full name is Princess Iona Ellington. If you wish, you may call me Iona."

"It's still a wolf reserve, I'm just not working on it as of yet, I mostly take care of supplies sadly." Raven told her "The was was used at the wrong time, sorry Iona."

"Canada has many different climates but the Canadian shiel;d is forestlike except, thin soils and alot of parts like mini islands." Raven said "The Canadian shield was originally a mountain the size of the himilayas and is the oldest land mass in the world, so it has a large amount of metallic metals, the shield is mostly a torist area for living in the wild." Raven continued on "The praries are warm and farm lansd and not all flat like people think everywhere and the rest of the areas are pretty much mountains and area's like the main population spots, which are flat and good for farming."

Iona listened intently to Raven, as if she was still being tutored by her old teachers. Once Raven finished her detailed description on Canada, Iona responded.
"I live on Pitt Island, off the coast of New Zealand. There are not that many people living on it, but the island is plentiful in animals and livestock. That is about all I know of the island itself personally. I did not travel far from home."
She looked down at the ground and shuffled her feet. Raven must think she was some vampiric being for staying indoors all the time.

"So that's why she looks so delicate" Raven thought as she voiced aloud "To be a forest Ranger, you need to be good in geography so I know how the landscapes are like in Canada but out of curiousity what are your skills Iona?" Raven looked down at her feet, sorta embarassed as she said "Myt skills are in Drama, Science, Geography and Math."

"At least you have some usefull skills. All I have is my piano and ballet talents and those would not help me out much in the wild. Unless dancing pianos start to come out of nowhere."
Iona laughed at herself. Dancing pianos....she must be losing her mind.

"Cool, piano is hard to learn, I only know three three key songs on the piano." Raven told Iona, feeling her distress though her mysterious ability. "And I only dance to rhythm of songs, I can't actually dance a certain style unless it's the well known ones, then I mess those up." Raven smiled

Iona smiled. "It is not that hard once you get used to playing it regularly. I can dance and play to some classical songs." This made her think of home and the lessons her tutors had given her. "My teacher said I am still in a stage were I would not be ranked as a professional."
She rested against a tree and closed the parasol. "I guess one thing I don't miss is my teachers." She giggled. "I am glad they are not here to hear me speak of them in such a disrespectful way."
