Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack:

Do some reading!!

Lacaille throws magical energy books at her enemy, they cause a small amount of damage and hopefully have the effect of making the creature think better of attacking Lacaille. Range 3 meters. (twice per battle) She might call her attack and summons an energy book that she can throw at her opponents. Upon impact, the book disintegrates, making the target feel like they have just read a deeply emotional part of a book that Lacaille has read. So if it's an ally that she wants to calm, she might think of the lover being reunited in a cheesy romance novel and use that to make her ally feel intense love, relief, and joy. However, if she wanted an enemy to feel afraid, she might summon a book and think of the scariest story that she's ever read and make the opponent feel dread, fear, and paranoia.

(30 sec. 3 times per battle)

Super Sailor Scout Attack:

Imagine

The energy books open creating spectators of the characters from the books Aurora has read that attack her enemy. They are only able to go 5 meters away from her or they disappear. (twice per battle) summons her magical energy book, and this time opens it. Out pops a character from a book that she's read. There are still the emotional implications, so if she were to summon Katniss from Hunger Games to help an ally, that ally would feel and the overwhelming sense of courage, purpose, and righteous fury. If she were to summon a monster, then the monster would create a feeling of dread, fear, and paranoia. Along with this, however, there is a physical impact. So the character that she summons can hit the opponent once if she wills it to, and this attack feels like they have been punched. Hard.

(45 sec. 2 times per battle)

Eternal Sailor Attack:

Whole scene hallucination, like they've been sucked into a really good book. They would see the scene that Lacaille summons, feel the tone that the author set down, as well as sense all of the sensory imagery. So if the author said that the air smelled like spring rain, and the main character laid back comfortable in soft, young grass to soak up the warm sun, then her target would smell that rain, feel the softness of the grass on their skin, and the warmth of the sun. This scene would create a sense of calm and soothe their nerves. This limits Lacaaille somewhat because she needs to be careful and select a reading from memory that has very specific details included, as she cannot make up these details.

(60 sec. once per battle)

This might just be a personal preference, but when I make attacks, I tend to steer away from the literal manifestations of a sphere and look into how I can stretch the idea a little bit. Like how Aberdonia is the senshi of papyrus, but instead of just using a papyrus javelin, I drew on the spiritual belief that papyrus had protective properties and made attacks based on that.

I really like your second attack, where Lacaille can manifest a creature from a book that she's read, so why not use that in the first attack too but less manifestation of an actual creature and more of a feeling.

So let's say that Lacaille wants to make her attacker leave her alone. She might call her attack and summons an energy book that she can throw at her opponents.
I SHOULD ALSO NOTE: you might want to run referencing actual licensed characters in an attack. I know that we talk about them all the time in RPs and sometimes characters cosplay as other characters, but this MIGHT be different. If it get vetoed I can always help you figure something else out.

For the super attack, I would keep everything the way that you have it, however I would also add some of the emotional repercussions as well as a physical one. So Lacaille summons her magical energy book, and this time opens it. Out pops a character from a book that she's read. There are still the emotional implications, so if she were to summon Katniss from Hunger Games to help an ally, that ally would feel and overwhelming sense of courage, purpose, and righteous fury. If she were to summon a monster, then the monster would create a feeling of dread, fear, and paranoia. Along with this, however, there is a physical impact. So the character that she summons can hit the opponent once if she wills it to, and this attack feels like they have been punched. Hard.

For the third attack I might summon a whole scene hallucination, like they've been sucked into a really good book. Sorry love, forgot to mention that you should also include times for how long sensations/characters/hallucinations last.

So like the sensation can last about thirty seconds for your first attack and be usable three times, and 45 for your super with two uses. The eternal attack can last about 60, but only be useable once.

MiddyGlow

Hi, Middy!

I love the concept of a Senshi of Books, and since books go back basically as far as human civilization and the only thing that's changed is the shape (fun fact: the "codex" form, or what we think of as a bound book today, first appeared 1500 years ago!), I'd say that sphere is good! Also, her powered name and surname appear to be okay.

I do have a few bits of critique before I can stamp her, though.

First, on her civilian side, I'd love for just a little more expansion to her hobbies and traits. Particularly, her "swimming" hobby seems to be about half about actually swimming and half about her part-time job. Talking about her wanting to own a bookstore someday might fit better up under her "reading" hobby, but under "swimming", I want to know more about that! Does she swim at a local rec center? Is there a pool at her house, in her neighborhood? Does she use one in DCU's fitness center? Is she on a swim team? The answer doesn't have to be "yes" to all of these questions, obviously, but it can help flesh her out!

I'm also not sure "Intelligent" is really a virtue (since it's possible to be smart and sort of a jerk about it!)--but the way you've written it is more like "Thoughtful," and that would definitely work.

For her "Forgetful" flaw, does she do anything to manage this? Is she kind of disorganized generally, and that's why she loses track of things? Tell me just a little bit more, here!

On the powered side, unfortunately, right now her attacks give her far, far too much control over the effects. If the effects instead manifested emotions from books the target has read that impacted them, that would be more okay, though! So, for first stage, she hits them with the book and they feel a surge of emotion associated with their favorite books; at Super you get the emotional effects plus maybe some minor visual specters (summoning fictional characters to help in battle is unfortunately going to be a no!); at Eternal they find themselves swept up in a scene from a book that impacted them.

Also, I have to ask--can the target of her third stage attack still defend themself while they're within the scene? Are they knocked out of it when they're attacked? If they're rendered helpless by being trapped (in their minds) in a book scene for the whole duration of the attack, the duration will have to be severely cut!

Finally, both her ranges and effect times are going to need to come down. We typically do magic effects in feet, not meters, and right now her ranges are far too large! Three meters is nine feet, and 5 meters is 16 feet--for a Basic or Super attack, 6 feet is much more allowable (so approximately 1.8 meters.) For times, 30 seconds is okay for the Basic, but the Super will need to be reduced to 35 and the Eternal to about 45 seconds to be more in line with what's typically allowable.

I know this is a lot, sorry! But if you have any questions, feel free to quote me and I'll be happy to explain! heart
