Michiko's parents were still out of town and Michiko was finally feeling better after recovering from the bit she had gotten from the spider at the one late night battle. She wanted to do something to brighten and freshen her mood. So Michiko put out flyers around her school and some of the other schools in the area inviting the other students to join her for a fall garden party. Michi made fall treats candy apples, banana and white chocolate ghosts, owl cookies, mummy hot dogs, and many other creative wonderful treats. The flyer described that is was a fall garden party open house. So Michiko hadn't planned any invitations for anyone in particular.

After all, Michi was the senshi was raspberries so she figured she could sorta handle it if someone attacked her garden party or she could call for help if she needed to anyways. Michiko harvested her pumpkins and she put them out on a fold out table, along with supplies to decorate the pumpkins. She also harvested her squash and beans, putting them in baskets and bowls clean and washed in case anyone wanted some. Michi really wanted to get to know other people in her area, she hoped she might make some friends.

(Set during the day, a few days before the masquerade party.)

Jason hadn't really been planning on going to any parties after what happened at the Botanical Gardens. He had wanted to focus on studying and trying to forget that he had almost gotten killed by giant spiders. He didn't care what the news stories said. Unless those were super realistic giant robot killing spiders, they were monster spiders that spit acid and hurt! And they had done so much damage! As if that was something one could just brush off!

However, while he had been trying to concentrate, he had noticed some flyers around town. They were so eye-catching that he had looked at one and it was advertising a Fall Garden Party. He had thought it a bit weird that a person would advertise such a thing using flyers. After all, that could attract all sorts of awful people, but as school had gone on and he had started feeling a bit more stressed, he had decided that he would go, just to see what it was like.

He dressed up slightly casually, in a collared, button-up light-blue shirt, boots, and some jeans with a light hoodie, hoping that it wouldn't get too cold tonight, and headed to the address that had been put on the flyers. When he finally got there, he was surprised to see how much thought had been put into it, especially all of the food. Well, if I don't meet anyone here, at least I can get some food He thought to himself as he debated whether or not to go straight to all of the treats and other edible assortments.

Michiko smiled brightly when she saw Toby had arrived at her garden party, Michiko was indeed shy and nervous and felt a wave of comfort that Toby had come to her garden party. Michi wanted to make new friends and share a few of the things she loved to the end of the world gardening and art. Michiko was dressed in a comfortable warm outfit. So it was pretty clear that this wasn't a costume party, instead just a fall themed party. With Halloween and cornucopia decorations. Michiko blushed when Toby commented on everything she had done. "Yes I live by myself my parents are always away on business so I had to do it on my own." She smiled a little and then said. "Thank you so much for coming Toby."

Michiko went over to the other person who had arrived, Michiko smiled shyly and offered her hand to the new person. She had to be brave this was what her party was about meeting new people and sharing her hobbies with others so her harvest didn't go to waste since she was all by herself. Besides for all Michiko knew she could build connections with someone who could help her in other situations. "Welcome to my party I'm Michiko." She said softly.

Before Jason could even make a step towards the food, two of the people there had come up to him to introduce themselves. Well, that was nice! At least he wouldn't go the whole time without conversing to someone else. He nodded at the both of them. "Hi, I'm Jason. I'm currently going to school here, and I have an older brother going to college at DCU. It's nice to meet you Michiko, Toby." He replied, shaking Toby's hand and nodding once again at Michiko.

"This garden party sounded interesting, or at least a way to take a bit of stress off of studying for school." The other two seemed to know each other at least. "I saw the flyer so..." And now he felt like he was babbling a bit.

Toby grinned at Jason and Michi in turn. "Well, I for one thing we should try some of these things you've made, Michi! We can figure out what to do after stuffing our faces!" He happily went on over to the food, peering over it, and unashamedly plucking up occasional things to sniff at...then pop in his mouth.

"Oh, oh, 'ou 'otta try dish," he declared, holding up a festive cookie. "'sh good!"

He may have been a bit of a glutton for just diving right into cookies and treats, but Toby clearly didn't care. There were treats to be had, and talking about food is a nice, easy conversation.

Michiko smiled and shooed both the boys to eat as many of the treats as they wanted, she turned and went to play with one of the pumpkins she had grown that harvest seasons. She pulled out a set of paints and started to paint a face of her pumpkin instead of cutting it. She smiled as she watched a spooky face starting to take life on her pumpkin. She was curious why Jason didn't like scary movies but she didn't want to bother her guests while they were eating at the moment. She smiled it was nice to see her treats being enjoyed by Toby and Jason. Michi would have been so depressed if no one had come to her party and all her treats had gone to waste.

Jason took some of the offered food and thanked Toby for it. He nibbled on it a bit to see if he would like it, before he really started to get into it. Though the mummy hot dogs were what really caught his eye. He laughed a little at Toby's question. "I only wish. I'm still waiting on my acceptance letter." He replied, He was already 17, the age that most kids would finally be in their last year at Hogwarts.

He shrugged his shoulders. "It's nice, though I think in some boarding schools it might be worse. As long as the rules are followed by staff concerning roommate disputes it isn't so bad. And they do a lot to help us relax because we need to study so much." So much more than he had been. But luckily he had had his brother to help him for a bit, and he was okay with his B-average there. "Though my parents were pretty lenient with my bro and I anyway. We just tended not to get into trouble."

He looked toward Michiko. Jason absent-mindedly chewed as she started to paint a pumpkin. He didn't really have any ideas for a pumpkin. But at least it could be used to make food later, though he wished he had an idea.

Toby nodded some, listening to a brief explanation of boarding school. "And no magic wands either, I guess," he concluded with a smirk. "Shame. Oh well! Guess I'm not missing much going to a regular school, then!" He shrugged as he spoke, and turned to look at Michi's pumpkin collection.

"Oh, movies?" Toby asked, and turned away from eyeing pumpkins. "Sure! How about, uh...hmm." He rubbed his cheek as he considered the earth shattering ramifications of such a choice. "How about something scifi? Giant robots are always fun." He grinned. "Course, I'd watch anything if it's good!"
