Quote: A new candy store is giving free promotional candy to try and attract new customers. At first, it’s delicious; it’s easily one of the best candies you’ve ever had. Only, within twenty-four hours of eating your first piece, you begin to have extreme tooth pain that can last for up to a whole day. It feels like a cavity, but a trip to the dentist reveals nothing strange. It just hurts. While the pain eventually fades, you’ll remember how much it hurt. Is your drive for Halloween Candy dented or are you still gearing up for more? Early October 2017
It wasn't so much the fact that Hania awoke other senshi that had her on high alert--in fact she'd be a bit more concerned if Hania wasn't awakening other senshi besides Alex, Abbie, and herself. Nah. It was more the simple fact that even she was starting to notice a pattern in a few of them.
Isolda, Kaye, Guinevere, Arthuradel, Morgan.
Kailey cussed softly beneath her breath as she slid down further, her leather jacket catching a bit on the wall she leaned against and heels of her boots groaning against the sidewalk. A new candy store had popped up--good timing, with Halloween on the approach--and she'd chosen that for the location for the... meeting.
It'd been Hania she'd pestered to alert the newbies, giving him permission to tell both of the other chicks her name as a civilian--and number, if they wanted to text for whatever reason. If Alex and Abbie did the same was their prerogative. But she'd brought Alex with her to the store, already having purchased a few bits of candy and getting some of the new promotional stuff. Abbie she'd also contacted herself--along with a heavy level of If you get stabbed again I'm jacking that pen of yours, ******** hell.
A small section of the side of the building was open as a courtyard, tables and chairs set out even with the slight n** in the air. A reasonable place to have their conversation, she figured.
"You did tell them this place, right?" Her grumbled words were shot to the guardian as she checked the time on her cell again. The message had been a simple one--to meet them there at the given time. Look for the chick with Hania, that'd be Morgan. If Hania gave them additional information, well that was his call, but she still couldn't shake the tension in her shoulders.
It'd been a large internal debate about if she should even include Alex or not in this. Not to dismiss the kid's abilities as a senshi, but she was her kid sister. Hell, part of her was pissed Hania'd even awakened her just on principle, though she'd never even huffed a word of such--far as she was aware. And yeah, maybe she could have ignored the obvious pattern.
But she'd been in a huff for a few nights after the mirror event and had spent a while Googling. Dangerous for anyone thinking they're sick or running into stupid coincidences in life. Because the latter doesn't bloody exist.
Ignoring that her senshi name didn't have a la Faye attached, and stripping the -adel off Alex's... well. Her fingers itched as they curled into fists against her arms, crossed as they were across her stomach. It was bad enough she gave enough of a s**t about Abbie now to be stressed that the girl had been in the ER, it was ******** up enough that she damn near had a panic attack each time Alex talked about her adventures being a magical girl. More people to add to the equation wasn't something she'd signed up for. Yet the other two hadn't been snippy or bitchy or worthless in the mirror. They'd given a ********, worried about Alex, helped out Gwen... Kailey groaned again. Already she could feel a headache forming.

Abbie was...well. She was still fairly shaken up after everything that had taken place in Mirrorspace. Once the shock wore off, she'd had to come to terms with the fact that she'd been <******** impaled by a shard of glass while falling through a weird extradimensional space. That was....that was ******** nightmare fuel. And frankly,. Abbie had enough things to be worried about without having to think about whether or not she was going to get killed next time she went out as Guinevere. That was the opposite of what she wanted to do.
What she wanted was to have a little fun with her magical powers. Run around, scale buildings, show off for cute girls, be every bit the irresponsible ******** with her powers that her parents had always insisted she was. It was stupid, and childish, and she should have learned much sooner that would be impossible, because she'd seen that massive battle with a terrifying number of people involved, but even then...
Even then, the worst she'd gotten was a very firmly slapped a** by a pretty Captain that, were she being honest, she'd have been fine taking out for drinks after. She'd dodged the ugly reality, until the ugly reality was sticking out of her stomach.
The other thing, though, was that she had friends. More friends than she felt she had a right to expect. They'd stuck with her through all of this, and she was....glad for that in a way it was hard to express. All of them, their strange little club of knights and princesses. So when Kailey texted her about meeting up at the new candy shop, she was all too eager to go.
Her response came with a sassy little "See you there, and if I get stabbed again I'm giving you my pen tbh" and a kiss-face emoji. She caught a cab part fot he way and jogged the rest, because it was good exercise and she needed to keep in shape after she'd been laid up recovering. It felt nice, really, to be able to move without worrying she was going to tear her stitches, even if parkour was apparently off the table for a little while longer.
"Hey, Kailey," she said, lightly, walking over to the table and dropping into an open seat. "Alex, Hania." It was good to see them, all of them, in one piece, and it was also nice to get to chew on some free candy. Any kind of free food was a blessing, frankly, and Guinevere was always glad for it, but free candy was an especially nice treat. "We got a plan for this, or are we just going to have a nice chat about how we're slowly filling in the Round Table?"
Because she had noticed the pattern too. It was impossible not to, if you were literarily inclined at all. She wasn't naturally, but it was always good to have an eclectic knowledge base in her line of work. You never knew what might impress a mark, after all.

Lulu had been fairly open to being a Senshi when she had first met Hania. Just based on the simple fact that a cat was talking to her, she had been won over. Talking cats aside though, she knew it was a risk, but her first taste of actual danger had left her with a very bad taste in her mouth. First being stuck in an uncomfortably small room, feeling her energy slowly being drained, then dropped into a much larger room with so many strangers. Being unable to help Alex at all had put a serious weight on her shoulders, was she really cut out for all of this? In all of the chaos she had even lost Hania at a point. If the Senshi in pink hadn't been there to help her through it all, she didn't know that she would have made it.
It the end she was able to meet other Senshi that Hania had awakened, even then she had noticed a bit of pattern to their names. But, she couldn't really stick around for long. She could barely look Morgan in the eye knowing she hadn't been able to help Alex at all. She stuck around long enough to know Guinevere was being taken care of, then headed hope to bandage herself up.
After that incident she hadn't really been out as Isolda much, too many 'what ifs' in the back of her mind for her to be at ease going out on her own. To her surprise, Hania actually found her one of those rare nights and asked her to attend a meeting. Of course she had agreed to go, but as the deadline grew closer she was more worried that she might just be a bit of a burden to the group. Would Kailey, as Hania had given her name, even forgive her?
In the end, she figured if she was going to get through her adventures as a Senshi, she'd probably need the help of others to do so. Throughout her life she always found that she tended to do her best work in a group setting, so why would being a Senshi be any different? Still, she had lacked the courage to text Kailey to confirm that she was going and had left her house a bundle full of nerves. Walking always helped calm her down though, so she gave herself some time to actually get to the candy store from her apartment.
Of course, maybe she should have given herself a little more time. There was a bite to the air as she walked and people were walking particularly slow on the sidewalks that day. By the time she finally spotted the store she was a few minutes late. Usually she was so punctual. At least some of her nerves had gone away. She almost entered the store before she recognized Alex at one of the table outside and then Hania as well.
She made her way over to the group that had already formed, she could tell which one was Kailey since Hania had described her as well, but the other girl she didn't know. "Hello, sorry I'm a little bit late. I got stuck behind some slow people on my way here." She settled into one of the chair and hung her purse on the back, before returning her attention to the group. "I'm also sorry for not messaging you sooner....I'm Lulu, but you all know me as Isolda." She said the last part quietly, just in the event that someone might overhear them. This whole secret identity thing was new to her, she'd rather look silly then risk being found out.

While yes, Hania had found it strange that he had ended up helping Senshi with Arthurian type names to awaken, he also hadn't thought much on it for a while. A few with the names could easily be a coincidence but by the time he had helped Isolda he had started to wonder. Just how many Arthurian named Senshi were out there? Were there any connection between them besides names of legend? With no readily available answers though thanks to very little information in the past memory wise, he ended up letting the topic drop on the back burner. Instead he focused on the here and now, in particular the fact that Morgan had given him the go a head to gather everyone together. The Guardian had of course jumped on the suggestion and had been quick to forward the invites to Isolda and Kaye. The fact that they were all going to be meeting at the candy shop was just the cherry on top so to speak. After all, he wasn't a real cat so candy was just fine for him so he was fully planning on sneaking some if it wasn't offered first. Now he was waiting for everyone to show up at the new candy shop with Kailey and Alex, sitting on one of the open patio tables. From his position on the table, so long as there weren't large crowds passing by he could see if there was anyone coming with out having to be on someone, or rather on Kailey's, shoulders to see. "Of course I told them. Place, time, and description." Hania was quick to respond to Kailey's grumbled words, a mix of amusement and worry in his eyes at how the young woman was acting. "They will be here soon, don't worry." With Abby being the first to show up it didn't surprise the black cat but he did give her a searching once over to at least visually see she was okay or at least recovering. He was thankful that she didn't appear to be in pain at least but then again he knew full well that she probably had a good poker face even if she was. Either way he decided that he would stay off her shoulders and only get on her lap if invited. "Hello, good to see you up and moving. How are you doing?" He asked with a tilt of his head. "As far as I know, no real plan over all besides this meet and greet. Though that topic will probably end up coming up at some point." Hania's attention however was very quickly stolen as the pretty Lulu showed up. He got to his paws with a cat smile on his face then moved on the table to give her a friendly head bunt. "Lulu, I'm glad you could make it." If he gave Kailey a quick 'I told you so' look then it was his business. The look was very quick though as his gaze had been quick to return to the pink haired woman. "Don't worry about being a bit late, it happens and Kaye isn't here yet anyway." Hania soothed with a hint of purr to his tone.

If the mirrorspace incident had proven anything to Eva, it was that being a senshi was definitely not everything it was cracked up to be. In some ways it was amazing, an alter ego that could do things she couldn't (in some ways) with powers that allowed her to fight. Magic and war, it was like living the dream of stories she'd written! But the danger was real. The possibility of injuries and death were real. The damage Guinevere had recieved in the mirrorspace had proven that. Thankfully the damage wasn't life threatening and the hospital hadn't asked questions, they had even allowed Eva to pay for the bill (even if she was doing so in payments). Still, if anything, Eva had come to the conclusion that whoever this group she'd come across... It was almost like destiny that they had come together. Like they were supposed to meet and group up. Was that even possible? Trying to figure it out had been headache inducing (on top of dealing with her sister) but it hadn't been enough to deter her from her duties, both civilian and senshi. For whatever reasons she was attached to these people and that was good enough for her. Which was why, when Hania had sought her out to let her know about a group meeting she was completely on board, no hesitations. Especially if it meant catching up with Isolda again and check up on Gwen's health status. She was a little worried about her considering she seemed to rely on couch surfing (or so the blonde was assuming since she hadn't seemed to have had an address). Unfortunately for the day of the meet, Eva as running just a little behind as archery practice had run on longer then she'd wanted it to. So by the time she arrived at the given location she was out of breath, her hair falling out of the bun she'd thrown it in and carried her bow with her. A sheepish look was given to those waiting as she came up on them. At least she knew she was at the right group, despite Alex and Hania's presence, catching the whisper of Isolda's senshi name. "Sorry, for being late. Practice ran over and I couldn't get away sooner." She probably should have introduced herself but it hadn't quite occured to her to do so. It likely didn't help that she had a hard time talking about herself in general. That and she didn't know anything about the whole glamour thing and was assuming they could figure out who she was. Maybe. How many senshi were there with long blonde hair and green eyes anyway? Sliding into a chair, bow placed in her lap once she'd put herself in a position where it wouldn't hit anyone, she glanced about at everyone gathered. This... seemed right, some how. Did it deal with the fact they all seemed to be named for knights of old? King Arthur and his knights of the round table. "You can all call me Eva."

Alex munched on her candy happily. She tried to be discrete with how much she was eating so that Kailey wouldn't notice. She was honestly still a bit shaken up by her experience in the mirror, however it hadn't scared her away from being a senshi rather the opposite she now kept a tighter grip on her henshin than before. She even slept clutching it like it was one of her stuffed animals, she was not going to be caught unpowered like that ever again. She kept one hand on her pen in her pocket while she eat with the free hand.
"Hi! I'm Alex." She said in a bright greeting to the others as they arrived at there little table.
"But my other name is Arthuradel, the senshi of honor." She said although she knew to keep her voice down when talking about her secret identity.
