Being bitten by a giant spider is uncomfortable enough, but worse than the sharp pain you feel on impact are the linger effects of the bite. Being bitten can cause nausea, dizziness, fatigue and hallucinations. These symptoms can begin immediately after being bitten or can manifest up to a few hours after the toxins are introduced to the bloodstream. These symptoms may only last for a few hours—or up to 72 hours. You, or someone you know, has the misfortune of being bitten; no medicine seems to help this ailment, so you’re stuck weathering this one out on your own.
Michiko could feel the spider toxin in her blood after the battle with the spiders where she had gotten bitten on the leg by one of the terrible spiders. She already knew she was in for a terrible time after seeing what happened to Rayay at the botanical garden party. Michiko managed to make her way home after the battle, but she was too weak to do much else it was friday night so she didn't have school in the morning but she could feel this wasn't going to be a fun weekend. She flopped down on the couch in the living room and put her hand over her head. She groaned.
Michiko's night was terrible she had to get up often to run to the bathroom to throw up and she kept thinking she saw spiders crawling on the walls. She jumped every time she saw them, then she watched as a little white ghost flew around her head. She batted at it and put her head under her pillow and fell into a fitful sleep. Tossing and turning all night long. She was on her own still forced to get up to get her own water since her parents still weren't home yet.
Saturday wasn't much better, Michi managed to get herself out of bed to eat some toast and drink some water to make sure she didn't get dehydrated. Michiko sighed out she still wasn't feeling well and she was still seeing the spiders, bats, and little versions on the ghost she saw when she met Bluebell. It was like a mini showing of everything she had seen lately, but inside Michiko's house rather than out in the night where she had seen everything. Soon Michiko dragged herself back to her bed, she needed some more sleep.
Sunday came and Michiko was finally feeling better, but not well enough to really do anything fun, she sighed and rolled over. She managed to do some sketches for a new painting she wanted to do. Featuring all the creatures she had seen, she figured her parents would just think that she was just being creative with the Halloween season. Michiko knew her parents would never believe that she had seen and fought everything she was planning to put in the painting. Michi laughed a little looking at the sketch. Michiko could hardly believe she had survived everything she faces, she felt better now that the hallucinations and vomiting had finally stopped. It was lousy though that it was Sunday and just in time for school tomorrow Michiko was fine but had not time for any real rest this weekend after she had gotten over being bitten by that spider.
Oh well Michiko was now a sailor scout and risk was part of her life now, she had to be brave enough to fight the darkness, to help to protect the city, protect her family and friends. Michiko wouldn't hide at home while the bats and spiders roamed the city attacking whoever they got their fangs on. She would always have a Raspberry jam smash waiting for them!
