Quote: Webs have begun to appear all over Destiny City at an alarming pace; at first it doesn’t seem like anything to be concerned with—at first. Maybe a web over a window or door frame is the worst you see, but there have been reports of webs that cover a whole tree or even entire cars. The media cites changing weather patterns and, even though you don’t see any spiders, it’s clear you might have a problem Michiko frowned as she walked along a path by bushes and trees all covered in thick webs. Michi shivered thinking about the spiders that had attacked the party goers at the botanical garden. Michiko was already jumping at shadows thinking she saw more spiders in the thick webs. She still had a hard time believing the things she had learned from the kitten Sumi, so she wasn't sure if she was strong enough to take on spiders by herself. She looked around hoping someone was around who might want to walk with her. Michiko had been having a very strange night indeed and it seemed like it would never end. Michiko stayed as far away from the webs as she could still jumping every few feet, she would hear something in the bushes or the wind would blow making the tree limbs move and Michi would cry out in fear. The spiders at the botanical garden were enough to make anyone afraid of spiders. Michi hoped there was a way to make all this darkness go away soon. Maybe she could bond with her own guardian cat friend and learn to become stronger so she could help defend the city.

Izobel wasn't certainly having a great time, after the fiasco at the Botanical Gardens Izobel had developed a small, yet reasonable, fear of arachnids. Before she was able to tolerate them but always tried to keep the eight legged creatures away from her beehives. But now with fall in full swing the teenager knew that her bees would be safe over the winter. At least the queen would be. Sighing softly and feeling a chill run up her spine Izobel glanced left and right at the webbing that was coating the trees on each side of the street. The white strands that covered everything drifted ominously in the breeze and on occasion broke off and tried to cling to anything else it collided with.
Pulling off a loose strand that had landed on her arm Izobel gave a nervous chuckle and then winced as her leg complained about the exercise. She had been injured in the maze and had already gone to get the wound examined. She was told that exercise would help with the healing process and yet it wasn't working just yet. Rubbing her injured calf Izobel glanced up just in time to catch sight of a figure up ahead.
As another strand of webbing floated by Izobel gave a startled cry of alarm. She had heard that spiders would often hope to move to another location by releasing silk strands that got caught by the wind. Was that happening here or was it just coincidence?

Michiko was batting at the webs in her annoyance she pulled her jacket closer around her as she looked at the creepy site and wondered if they were out there somewhere in the night the spiders that had attacked them at the botanical garden. It had felt so crazy at the time and Michiko thought it was a joke. Since then though Michiko had learned so much about the city that she had been clueless about. She thought everyone was good and she had been wrong the world was world wasn't the sweet garden Michiko had always thought it had been. Michi still wanted to try to make it better, she was tempted to try and use the power she was told she had to try and clear away the spider webs, but she had to be mindful of her secret. It was then she heard someone scream, Michiko turned and hurried over to the person. "Are you alright?" Michiko asked looking around to see if a spider had arrived to attack. Michiko wondered what she was supposed to do if there was a civilian and a monster at the same time? How was she supposed to protect them without revealing her secret?

Almost instantly Izobel was feeling downright foolish for crying out in surprise. But the teen just couldn't help it. Snagging the silk as it inevitably got pulled down by gravity Izobel studied the strand before casting it off her fingers with a powerful flicking motion. God she was starting to get paranoid. Pulling her jacket closer around her to block the gusting wind Izobel was about to start back on her way towards home when the sound of running footsteps echoed in the evening air. Glancing around the ginger realized that the figure she'd seen up ahead was gone but now someone seemed to be running up to her from behind.
Taking in the sight of the stranger, another redheaded teen like herself, Izobel swallowed nervously before nodding when asked if she was alright, "I'm fine. Just got startled by the webs and all. Actually had a piece float by and it got me thinking of how little spiders travel."
Izobel ducked her gaze before wincing again. She really wanted to have a second opinion on her leg. Even as her senshi self it didn't seem like her magic had made a difference and she was the senshi of bandages. Stretching Izzy glanced over at the other teen with a small teasing smile, "Gotta admit I thought I was the only one crazy enough to be walking around in this mess."

Michiko was glad the other person was alright, she hoped there weren't more spiders out there in the dark but it was hard to tell everything covered in thick webs and dark shadows. Michiko shivered and said "I don't know if you heard or were at the botanical garden party last night?" Michiko said softly "Yea I guess after what happened I must be a little crazy to be walking by myself, but with my parents out of town sitting at home by myself isn't much better." Michi said with a sigh. "I'm Michiko by the way." She said softly. Michiko looked over at the other girl, and then asked "What about you what brought you out to wander on such a spooky night?" She asked in a softly shy tone. She did her best to reach out to others even though it made her nervous, and she didn't want to sit at home by herself. So here she was talking with a stranger in the dark surrounded by spider webs. It seemed to be the note of the season though. Spooky stuff and tricks of the magical sort. She wondered if it would all disappear in November like magic.

Izzy started very briefly at the motion of the Botanical Gardens. The whole event had been a fiasco even if free candy had been involved. With all the commotion and fuss about what had happened Izobel wasn't even sure if things had been sorted out yet. She was still holding onto the raffle tickets she had purchased for a small price and yet if the reception hall had been overrun by spiders had all the prizes been destroyed? Izzy glanced down at her fists in surprise as she was clenching them rather tightly. Shaking off the sudden negative thoughts Izzy turned her gaze towards the stranger, who she just learned was Michiko.
"I'm out because the doctor thought that exercise would be good for my injury. I'd like to take his diagnosis and stomp all over it though," here the teen paused before running a hand through her red hair, "I assume since you are asking about the party that you were there ... I was too. It's how I got injured actually. I thought I had guessed right about how it'd try to attack and I guessed wrong."
Izzy bit back the frustration before extending her hand with a friendly smile, "I'm Izobel or just Izzy if you'd prefer. It's nice to meet you Michiko."

Michiko didn't notice Izzy shock about Michiko being at the party, that wasn't a big deal right? "I got lucky I got a little bit of spider acid on my and was itchy and the spiders ruined my butterfly costume but I was otherwise fine. My friend Toby and I helped another girl Rayay to get out they were bitten by one of the spiders." Michiko said shivering at the thought. Michiko frowned at Izzy's description of her wounds and the doctor's orders. "Well my suggestion is resting at home and drinking hot coco." Michi said in a warm tone. Michiko smiled a little "Nice to meet you too you can call me Michi if you want to."

At Michi's mention of rest and hot cocoa Izobel made a sound that could have been taken as agreement. The idea did sound appealing but more than ever all Izzy wanted to do was merely wish that she had never gone to the event in the first place. Having dealt with giant spiders, as a civilian no less, one would assume she could deal with anything. And yet here she was, jumping at wisps of silk that were probably remnants marking the passage of the spiders.
When it came down to everything being said and done, Izzy was beginning to think that she was now suffering from a mild form of arachnophobia. The sight of the webs indicated that spiders had passed through and it was the thought that they were out there, unseen, that bothered her the most. Trying to shake of the sensation that she was being watched Izzy focused on what Michiko was saying. "It was good that you were able to help someone who needed it. It shows you have courage," Izzy paused before making a sound of annoyance as she took in all the webs still around. The red-head grinned as she glanced to Michiko, "think fire would destroy these nasty webs? I'm kidding but I'm getting seriously creeped out."

Michiko shrugged she didn't think she was that brave, but she wasn't sure how to argue the point without telling Izzy more than she thought was allowed. Then the remark about fire she shook her head and her eyes went wide. "No fire that would hurt the trees and plants." She was relieved to hear that Izzy was only kidding and didn't really mean they wanted to burn everything away. "Yes they are creepy, perhaps a broom would be better, it might be a good idea to organize a clean up to sweep away all the spider webs." Michiko mused softly.

Izobel wasn't sure if a organized clean-up would help until the source of the spiders could be identified. It was only then that once eliminated that things could go back to normal around here. She sighed. Whatever normal passed for these days. It was still strange to think that somehow she could make a difference someday. Wincing again at another twinge of pain in her leg Izobel rubbed at her calf some more before watching Michi. It looked like it was time to head inside. If just to get out of the presence of all the spider webs. Izzy would keep to her bees and leave the spiders to someone else to deal with.
Straightening up Izobel glanced at the webs and then back at Michiko. "I'm going to head home now I think. I think I've had enough exercise for tonight. It was nice meeting you Michiko. Watch out for possible spiders. I don't think that they'd have all gone if this much web is still around."

Michiko nodded and bid fair well to Izzy "Please stay safe Izzy." She said softly as she turned away to head home herself. Michiko was ready for some peace and quiet at home. Though she still wanted to organize a clean up of all these webs even if the odds weren't very good that it was possible to clean up this mess. Michiko liked things to be clean and tidy this was not clean or tidy at all. She wondered if the webs would smother the flowers, trees and plants as well.
