The area has been deemed too dangerous for anyone to enter, and yet you notice a strange gargoyle perched on the roof. It is large and imposing and you know it’s never been there before. If you try to climb up the building or if you leave the area and return, the gargoyle will have disappeared. You never see it move, but you know you saw it. Giant stone sculptures don’t just up and fly away…right? Whatever it is you saw, it’s gone now, but you might want to keep your eyes on the rooftops and pay attention when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Michiko pulled her jacket closer around her as she felt a chill go up her back she looked up at the old church it was a shame it was in such disrepair. She looked at the fire damage and sighed she wondered if the city would repair the church soon or if this old church would just be left here forgotten forever. That was a sad thought the church didn't deserve that, even if Michiko wasn't really into religion she did like the look of old buildings and thought they should be kept in good repair. Michiko looked up at the top of the building at the gargoyle that was still watching over the building even though it was closed to everybody. Michiko went closer to the church, closer to the gargoyle she was curious if she could find a way in, she looked around to see if anyone was nearby she didn't want to get in trouble but she wanted a closer look at the strange gargoyle that was sitting all by itself on the top of the church. She looked at the door to the church wondering if there was a set of stairs that would go up to the bell tower maybe then she could get a look at the gargoyle up close.

Wandering around this particular part of town was probably a bad idea, even more so wandering around alone, but Sumi had done it. He'd felt a strange energy signature and wanted to check it out. The kitten was sure that he could figure out what it was and go tell Arsinoe or Mag Mell, or both, if it was something they'd need to deal with. He was small, he could get away right? That was the plan at lest until he saw someone else wandering near the church where the energy signature was coming from. She felt strange too and his eyes widened. Senshi! Wiggling under a bit of fence he trotted across the lawn to where the girl was standing. "Excues me, I think it's dangerous to go in there."

Michiko hadn't turned around yet, but she heard a voice behind her she jumped. She turned and looked around confused when she went to answer. "Umm... uhh is someone there?" She called out not looking down just yet. When she looked down she blinked seeing the kitten. Kittens didn't talk so it couldn't have been the kitten that had spoken to her. "Hey, there is your owner the one who was warning me about the church??" Michiko asked the kitten softly. Michi had no idea about guardian cats or Senshis. All she knew was her dark dreams haunted her and she didn't know why. Michiko looked around again and then she turned back to the door "It can't be that dangerous right? I just want to get a look at that gargoyle." She said to the kitten still not realizing they were the one who warned her about the church in the first place. "Humm wonder if your owner would reconsider and explore the church with me little kitty." Michi said looking around the churchyard for places a human might be hiding and could have called out to her. She still didn't see anyone and there was only the kitten weird.

"The gargoyle is the dangerous thing and I'm the one that warned you." Sumi butted his head against the girls' leg, pout on his face. He wasn't used to people ignoring him. So far everyone he'd spoken to had been surprised, not always in a good way. But this girl was acting like he wasn't the one who'd spoken. "If you go in there you'll get hurt." He could stop her from getting too badly hurt, he could tell she was a senshi, but that didn't mean he wanted her going in there thinking it wasn't dangerous. "Plus who knows how badly damaged the inside is."

Michiko blinked and blinked again she didn't know cats could talk "Oh dear I'm sorry... I.. I Umm I've never talked to a cat before, I normally just stay in my garden and take care of my plants." Michiko said in a nervous tone. She looked up for the gargoyle in question and it was gone. She was going to argue with the kitten but if kittens could talk and gargoyles could move then Michiko wasn't in her garden anymore this was a whole new world. She moved away from the church door. She felt angry eyes on her it felt like her skin was heating. She rubbed her eyes and then said as she moved away from the church door taking the kittens advice. "I'm Michiko, what's your name??" She felt a little funny about asking a kitten what its name was but she felt like she had to make up for her rudeness and nieve nature. Michi had taken things for granted that they were as she thought they should be and clearly that wasn't the case if spiders attacked. Gargoyles moved. "Do you know anything about a strange candy shop? I went there and got a really bad toothache for no apparent reason, is that magic too?"

He watched the young lady and was glad that she didn't freak out when she realized he was talking. It was refreshing. "I'm Sumi. And I think we should be careful. That ... the thing you want to see isn't waht you think it is." Sumi looked up with her, realizing it was gone, and tried to suppress a shiver. It was probably a youma, a smart one, and it was most likely now hunting them. There was no way the youma hadn't spotted the girl and he figured the creature could probably sense him too. "I don't know about a candy shop but maybe? There's ... magic is everywhere in Destiny City."

Michiko walked away from the church so they could get to a safer location, "So can you tell me more about all this? I've seen so many strange things lately." Michiko said softly she hoped oh she didn't know the kitten's name. "I'm Michiko, what's your name?" She asked in a soft shy tone. After everything that Michiko had seen lately. Ghosts, strange pumpkin lattes, gravestones that magically changed, giant attacking spiders, a talking kitten wasn't on the top of the strange things list.

"I'm Sumi." The kitten wandered around Michiko's legs, nudging her in the leg hoping she'd walk away from the church. He still didn't trust where that gargoyle had gone and he was starting to get a bad feeling about things. "I can tell you what I know about it ... if we can get somewhere safe. It wont be easy to explain things if we get attacked by that youma." The way he was feeling it was almost inevitable but Sumi still hoped he could get them away faster than that. If it did attack at least the girl was a Senshi but just once he'd like to find one and explain things to them without the fear they were going to get eaten by a youma in the process.

Michiko hurried away with Sumi she wanted to learn more about this magical city , far more than she wanted to fight a youma for the first time. She would much rather avoid the conflict under Sumi's advisement than she would fight a monster she didn't know how to fight. Once they were outside the churchyard she looked down and Sumi. A thoughtful look on her face trying to think where they could go. "Should we go to my house? My parents are still out of town on business." She said in a soft tone.

"We can do that." The kitten nodded with a smile. At least that way he would know where the senshi lived, if he could remember, should he need to help her out. Plus it would be easier to give her the henshin pen outside of view. Street corners weren't the best place to give those out unless there was some desperate need to do so. "I'll get you sorted out and tell you what I can." And he'd have one more senshi to help. Eta would be proud of him and he could actually feel like he was doing good.

Michiko smiled and then nodded. She led Sumi to her house and opened the door, then lead the way to the kitchen and turned to Sumi and asked "Would you like something to drink?? What do guardian cats like to eat?" She asked in a soft curious tone, she wanted to be a good host but wasn't sure what to offer a kitten guardian cat and didn't want to be insulting again thinking this was just a normal cat.
