Is your drive for Halloween Candy dented or are you still gearing up for more? Michiko was still a little freaked out and tired after the events of the other night at the botanical gardens she still wondered what was going on perhaps those spiders were like giant spiders from another country needed to keep tropical flowers health that had gotten out of their cages or something. She sighed it must have been something like that after all why would there be anything bad in this city. This was a good place full of good people and Michiko wouldn't let anyone convince her otherwise. This was her home, even though her dreams of darkness eating away at everything she loved were getting worse. Michiko found it hard to sleep at night. She needed a distraction something to take her mind off the fear she faced every time she closed her eyes for the night. That was how Michiko found herself at the candy shop she walked in and looked around at all the pretty candies this was going to be great. Halloween was right around the corner and this was the perfect time to get some candy. She looked around at all the other people in the store. Then she went to get in line so she could buy some candy too. Michiko was still very shy so she hadn't made many friends yet except for Toby who she had met at the botanical garden party.

Peter wasn’t much of a candy eater to begin with, but whatever his classmate gave him was amazing, and then super horrible. He wanted to try and investigate to see if anything would show up in lab experiments. Maybe it was the excess sugar, or some other chemical. Maybe he was allergic to whatever he had, he wasn’t sure. Nothing revealed that there was anything wrong with him, so it had to be the candy.
“Have you had any of this candy before?” he asked the girl standing in line in front of him, wondering if maybe she could tell him about her experiences. There was a moment that passed before he realized he was probably being rude, his eyebrows raising slightly.
“Oh, I’m Peter. Peter Gallo,” he introduced, before looking around at the other patrons in the shop. None of them seemed to be too upset about the candy. Surely if there were issues, people would be there to complain, right?

Michiko was distracted from buying the candy she turned to the person who was talking to her, someone cut in line ahead of her while she was distracted. "No why is there something wrong with the candies?" It was sad that that was Michiko's first thought. After seeing a moving gargoyle, seeing her friend Toby turn orange and get sick, being attacked by spiders, seeing lights in a swamp that had once been a normal park. Michiko wasn't taking anything for grant it. Michi smiled shyly at Peter and then said. "I'm Michiko Wakahisa" She hadn't thought him rude, many people chatted casually without introducing themselves formally, but it was nice to meet someone and get to know them perhaps become friends. Michi felt like she could use all the friends she could get in learning about her powers and learning about the city without raspberry colored glasses in front of her eyes. Michiko would have never believed any of this was real till Sumi told her that it was all real and she had powers. Michiko's dreams made more sense now if she didn't stand up and fight the darkness could very well swallow everything she loved. Michiko wasn't about to let that happen she loved her family and the few friends she had made. As far as Michiko knew Toby was a normal guy with no powers so Michi had to protect him. They had only met the other day but Michiko felt close to Toby and she didn't want anything bad to happen to him. Michi waited for Peter to answer her, she hoped he had some answers before Michi ended up in another bad situation. It would be nice to dodge the lousy situation for once, rather than bumbling right into pain and danger. It was candy though how bad could it be?

Peter shoved his hands into his pockets as Michiko introduced herself, nodding a couple times to make sure she knew he heard her.
"I’m not sure if there’s anything wrong with them. I hope not. I might have just had an allergic reaction to whatever I ate," he explained, not wanting to upset her but also not wanting to lie and tell her he was just being overdramatic about it. He definitely knew he had a bad reaction, but why… he wasn’t sure.
"I wanted to collect some and run some tests. I mean, I’m not sure what I’ll find out, but gotta start somewhere, right?" he said as he looked around, scowling as the person cut in line, but figured there wasn’t much harm. It was just a jerk move.
"Better move up otherwise someone else will cut," he said loud enough for the person who slipped into the line to hear, but Peter doubted they cared. "Are you a student at one of the high schools around here? Crystal?" he guessed, looking her over. She was a lot shorter than him, but he was also still getting used to his own height. He was almost 6’ now and going through growth spurts were rather painful.
"I was at Azure for a few years. I’d have preferred Meadow, but... it’s a long story," he chirped. "I just started DCU. Chemistry major, so I’ll have access to be able to test things."

Michiko was nervous about the idea of the candy causing an allergic reaction it dampened her desire for the candy as the line moved and the other person jumped the line as Michi was talking to Peter. Michiko moved up in the line at Peter's suggesting but her attention was really on the older student rather than the line. She shook her head looking up at Peter's much taller height. Michiko was only 5'3" so she had a long way to look up at Peter. "No I don't go to Crystal." She said in a soft tone. She smiled a little she liked going to Meadow. "I'm a student at Meadowview actually it's a lovely school." she said in her soft tone. Michiko wondered what it would be like to go to university, she looked forward to it though she wasn't sure what she would want to study. Perhaps she could study a major in plants and biology. Once it was Michiko's turn in line she bought a bad of candy not really thinking then stepped aside so Peter could buy a bag of candy for himself. Looking at the bag of candy and hearing what Peter had said about it and wanting to test it made Michi sick in her stomach. Michiko held the bag of candy out to Peter and said "Umm do you want mine? I suddenly don't want any candy.."

Oops, was she shy? Was he being too talkative? Was he maybe scaring her because he was being too talkative? That hadn’t been his intention, but she was clearly much softer spoken than he was.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to change your mind about the candy,” Peter frowned as she offered the bag to him. “I’m probably just making a big deal about it,” he said and frowned as he put his own bag of candy into his pocket. He would have to experiment later, but he really was concerned that the candy would be bad for her.
“How about I take the candy, but I’ll buy you something to drink instead. Do you drink hot chocolate? Or coffee or tea? There’s a place just across the street if you want. They’ve got good cookies there, too,” he offered, wondering if that was too much of him to suggest. They’d only just met after all, and she might be too shy to want to follow a stranger around.
“I go to DCU but I’m only sixteen. I didn’t mean to make it sound like I’m older,” he tried, wondering if maybe she would be more comfortable if she realized he was still high school age. He’d just managed to graduate early.

Michiko gave Peter her bag of candy and listened to everything he said, it was true people who were outgoing sometimes made her feel a little uneasy, but Michiko had quickly learned sometimes it was easier to just stay quiet and listen than it was for her to force herself to try to keep up adding comments that weren't needed. She smiled a little when Peter offered the trade. "I love hot coco and cookies, I bake my own at home." She said softly "But going with you would be nice." Michi blinked she had thought Peter was much older than she was. "Wow, you must be really smart." She said softly. Michiko wasn't totally focused on school since she enjoyed her gardening hobby and painting hobbies a great deal of the year. "I think I would study art and maybe botany if I went to DCU." She added.
