Quote:
[Requirements]: This event happens entirely while your character is sleeping. This is doable for all factions, and unlike the happy, fun Wonderland of the Wonderland simulation, this version seems a little more sinister and disjointed.

[ Rules ] Open to all characters (not including quest)

gaia_angelright This artifact quest differs somewhat from others, it is staggered in real time, this means each dream IC day in the forest represents roughly an OOC "day" in Inception-land, however your character gauges that. This gives this mission a gated nature, it cannot be completed in one day. When your character wakes up, only a couple of actual IC hours could have passed.

gaia_angelright If one of your party falls behind or misses a few days they are able to complete prompts to catch up with the rest of the group, this is the one exception which can be made to the nature of this quest.

The desolate Asian dreamed a lot, every night she might relive the day the accident happened. She subconsciously blamed herself for what happened. If she could choose, she'd refuse to sleep. Against her wish, hunter was a tiring job in natural, both physically and mentally. She needed those rests like an neccessity so she could work properly.

As an alternative, she preferred sleeping with someone to sleeping alone. Literally, one to sleep on the same bed next to her. Her sisters used to be her sanctuary but they were gone and there was no better replacement. The experience to Wonderland was the only thing she looked forward to dreams. Since she was introduced to the story and read about the incredibly strange things inside it, she was captivated.

Lived a rather unhappy childhood and then adolescence, she learned to find her escape in cosplaying. Mimicking someone in another life was only a temporary remedy while dream was a better solution. Her belief in the existence of Wonderland lay on the strong desire for another life. That was her way to tackle difficulties. Knowing Alice actually existed was a blessing, an excitement and a great comfort. It meant too much to her, serving as the realm where pure happiness can be found. A place where everything's possible, in every dream, she wished to see her sisters again, in Wonderland.

Sadly, every night bashed her in. No Wonderland but red and sad dreams. Reliving the moment again and again while she didn't know she was dreaming until she woke up in cold sweats. That night it was different.

She wasn't in a car, in the park or the hospital, instead, she was in the middle of a forest. The entire environment was dark, through the branches, she saw a night sky sans the moon. It gave her difficulties whether she was moving forward, the branches looked alike without much lights.

The petite Asian halted her step, tried to recall how she ended up in a strange place like that to no avail. She looked around busily and studied the surroundings, it was strange indeed when a wooden console table ran past in the front, flowers mumbling like people and several teacups followed a teapot like mother duck and its ducklings. Good words to describe what she saw included bizarre and grotesque. It looked like the background for a halloween drama on stage.

Knowing it was pointless to waste time at one location, she started moving in a direction. She though moving objects were weird enough, she realized she was wrong after a while. A fluffy small creature sat in the mid-way of the path she was heading, as she walked past it, she saw it had a big clock head. She widened her amber eyes at the shocking scene but it seemed harmless. As if to prove her intuition, she found more strange animals on her way. To name a few, a four-leg with an oval mirror as its head, a bird rolled around in four wheels without legs and a long neck four leg with organ as its neck, every time it moved, the neck made sounds.

No matter how bizarre the creatures and plants were, they didn't have any intention to hurt her at all. As an outsider, they were curious of her but that's it. She uneventfully left the forest and reached a mushroom patch.

gaia_crown [ Day 1 - The Tulgey Woods: ]

Finding the location of Wonderland is something which happens by accident. On the way to some other location in pursuit of an artifact, some hunters are known to end up somewhere else entirely due to a minor portal malfunction. Your hunter and their companions are some of these people.

The forest itself is seemingly unending, perpetually dark but with the grass and trees lit from within by strange ethereal light. The sky overhead where glimpsed through the branches is an impossible black and there is no moon.

Everything in the forest itself is not quite right and any flora and fauna that they come across is not like anything they might see on Earth. Be as creative as you like with this, all harmless creatures and flowers are free to make up. Everything is like earth seen through a bizarre lens and jumbled up with other creatures and objects, the more absurd the better.

Some examples though are animals who are partially inanimate objects and sentient plants.

gaia_crown [ The Mushroom Patch ]

You come to a grove of strange mushrooms interspersed with signs which state EAT ME. There seems to be no way forward until you do just that.

gaia_angelright These prompts can be done individually or one person can roll and people can collectively respond. This is the first day wandering in the tulgey woods. Minimum of 800 words which can be soloed or back and forth rp. The hallucinations can be individual or shared with characters present able to see it all like ghosts who can watch but cannot interact.

Roll 1d10
Quote:

1. A small green mushroom, it tastes like a favourite food. It makes the eater relive a childhood meal, including the location it happened and the people present.
2. Large red mushroom with white spots, it tastes concerningly poisonous, it makes the eater relive a time when they were very angry.
3. A soggy blue mushroom, it tastes like rainwater, it makes the eater relive a time when they were very sad.
4. Bright orange mushroom that tastes spicy, it makes the eater relive a time when they were jealous.
5. A small fuzzy pink mushroom that tastes like soft vanilla, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt strong love
6. A colourless grey mushroom which tastes like paper, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt alone.
7. A sickly yellow mushroom which tastes sour, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt regret
8. A bright purple mushroom which tastes like chocolate, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt happy
9. A green flat mushroom which tastes like a favourite drink, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt part of something
10. A brilliant white mushroom that glitters like stars, it tastes like nothing ever tasted, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt wonder

On completion of this task, when everyone has partaken of their mushrooms the way opens up, the leaves parting to reveal another twisting path onwards. Somewhere up ahead a purple cat skips off into the shadows.

Forgot to roll.....
Quote:
10. A brilliant white mushroom that glitters like stars, it tastes like nothing ever tasted, it makes the eater relive a time when they felt wonder

She moved carefully towards the grove of umbrella shaped objects resembled mushrooms. "EAT ME", a sign next to the patch wrote. She walked around the area, made sure those objects were not living things. Then she squatted down next to some and reached out a finger to poke one. It felt like normal mushroom, she picked one up and examined its details. Soon, she made a conclusion that every angle of it looked like a mushroom. Like someone said her she had to do what the sign said before she could do anything, she felt the need to eat one.

Common sense told her those with brilliant colors were a signal of toxin, she picked up a shiny white one. It didn't taste like mushroom and it's complicated to describe something you have not experienced before......

The sign reminded her of Wonderland, the happiest experience after the horrible incident. Shu couldn't help to think of the woman who shared a deep frenzy and love of the realm, the one she called My Alice. Sadly, she no longer can be her white rabbit. She never have the qualification to be, she just pretended she had it. When she found a new white rabbit, she was glad for her but also felt so sad about it. The effect of the mushroom kicked in and she couldn't think more.

Quote:
She was a curious girl, borned as a Pisces had made the little girl full of imagination and emotions. One time she was reading a storybook, a story about someone travelled around to seek for their only someone. It talked about love in a complicated way, Shu was too young to understand the full content but something did touch her little heart.

She subconsciously thought of her father, who obviously hated her. She thought of her dear sisters, wondered if they had already found that only someone. She thought of her little brother, thinking if he would find his only one in his future. Then she thought of herself.

The lonely girl was not loved by anyone, only her sisters. She had no friends and the way her parents treated her was quite a big difference to the neighbouring childrens of the same age. She realized it quick even sisters tried to cover the fact by giving her overflowing care and love. Knowing what they wanted, she pretended she didn't learn it. It would be fine as long as they were with her, but one day when they find their only one, they would have to leave her. So she should also find her only someone.

She asked herself if someone in the world would love a person like her. Despite her sisters always called her a sweetie, her parents didn't like her. Mother apologized whenever father hit her for no reasons, but she knew her mother did nothing wrong, so why she cried and said sorry to her? She did not understand when the hatred started, in her memory, she hadn't done a thing that bad enough.

She wondered.

Did I do something wrong again?

She wondered every time her father hit her but she couldn't figure it out.

Then, she noticed how her parents treated her brother, as if he was the most precious thing in the world. She didn't ask, but she wondered. She was an observant girl, she needed to observe her father all the time to avoid possible beating. She disliked pain but it's fine, her mother's tears was what was unbearable. When he was about to rain heavily, she hid up in advance. She thought a lot when she played hide-and-seek game with her father, she wasn't a clever girl so she needed more time to think, to slowly figure things out.

She thought about many things, sometimes she recalled those wrongdoings, but each of her moves were careful. She mused whether she was adopted, her eyes were not as dark as her parents but her facial features resembled them. Sometimes she guessed if father drank too much or accumulated abundant pressure, sometimes she wondered if the neighbours had gossiped bad things about them when father valued reputation a lot. When she couldn't get an answer, she would always came to a conclusion: she was not good enough. If she tried harder, she would be closer to what her parents wished she to be.

Eventually, she built up a lot of pressures. Underneath, she knew the ultimate reason to all her questions, she wasn't born as a boy. She was jealous of her brother and that deep feeling drove her to bully him. She was a mischievious girl, all the tricks she did on him were not seen by her parents. Her brother was her biggest wonder ever.

At the start, she was pretty confident she hated him, he got everything she wanted except her sisters' love. She disliked the embarrassed smile he gave after she tricked him. Her hatred was too much that she was blind to his merits. She wanted to hurt him like how snow white's stepmother wanted her to be gone. It was only after an event she changed her mind completely.

Yes, she remembered that night clearly. That night was the second time she was locked into the storeroom, like last time, she yelled behind the wooden door, banged it loud and tried every mean to make her angry father forgave her. No one could save her, her dear sisters just got their first jobs and had overtimes unfortunately. Her mother, on the other hand, never step in any of her husband's decision. She curled up and sat against at the back of the door, looking at the stuff in the room idly, the only window showed apartments with warm lights. She imagined the families inside were having a great dinner while watching television, it made her sad and questioned herself what she had done to deserve this punishment.

Gradually, she spaced out. Not sure how long, she heard some small noises. Knock knock. It gave a hint of hesitation and not wanting people's notice. The sound paused for a few seconds, as if waiting for response before it came again. Knock knock, knock knock, it felt like a question. The third time the noise can be heard, it was followed by a voice.

"Can you hear?" She could recognize that voice, the soft and gentle tone. "What do you want?" She replied stiffly. "....Nothing, just checking if you're okay. Are you hungry?" His voice hinted his concern. "Of course I am, unlike you, I haven't eaten anything for hours." She found him annoying, came to ask stupid questions like that and thus her attitude was bad. There were no reply and she did a tease grin. Then she heard some rattling noises, that fool was trying to shove something towards her side via the gap between the broken edge of the old door and the floor. She pulled the plastic bag out and realized it was a round bread. "Sorry, I can't get something bigger and the blanket, I dunno where the key is - It's better than starving though....."

She stared at the bread that felt lukewarm and was unable to say anything. He had no reason to do so, she knew the fact well. The only reaction he shall do was to tease her, the bully who had been giving him trouble. "Why?" She asked quietly. "Ah? Because you're my dear sister" He answered naturally. "I'm sorry for what father did to you, but I'm here with you, sis." Hearing what he said, she was dumbfounded. Her brother was a pure innocence, what she was doing? She hurted someone who loved her, she felt she would cry the next moment and stuffed the bread into her mouth. "How can you do that....." She mumbled. "Um? You mean - I grabbed it from the table when mom and dad were not paying attention, then I hid it under my tee.....Did it smell?" She was not expecting an answer like that, but wondered why he could turn the other cheek and offered his kindness to her.

That day, he spent the night with her, talking about silly things so she won't feel alone. The warmness from her filled stomach told her she couldn't treat him that badly anymore. Still, it would be weird to change attitude completely. Thus she kept the harmless playful tricks but she added her brother to the list of people she cared.

Shu remembered that, one of the important days for her. She was glad she had a chance to learn the truth and didn't mistreat someone loved her. As she collected her thoughts, she saw a new path that she didn't find before. A long twisting path was ahead but she paused to stare where a purple cat disappeared before she moved on.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 03, 2017 3:40 pm

Leaving the mushroom patch with an annoyed face, she found herself inside the maze-like forest once again. She was pretty sure it was due to the white mushroom she ate, she recalled the memory of her brother. She didn't appreciate the sweet snippet if it would turn bitter like aftertaste. All the people related with her past memories had mostly gone. Even she wished hard, she knew the possibility he would wake up was nearly zero. She just acted like she still had hope and positive.

What the petite Asian didn't notice that she was heading to the deeper part of the woods. The path felt more quiet and she realized she could see her fingers clearly, the visibility dropped with the lower lightness. She was unable to ensure she was walking towards the right way but she had no alternatives. She didn't even know what that weird place is.

Through her observation, the fauna and flora of the place were unusual, far from the normality she was used to. And then she was stopped, by the thorns blocked off as the barricade in the front. The thin and sharp pointy spikes looked dangerous, passing through them was impossible.

Steering away from the threatening brambles and thorn, she was led down a narrow winding trail. Carefully not letting the plant to get onto her garments, she saw a giant Caterpillar at the end of the trail. She obviously frowned at the famous character, it was, like what she knew, smoking a hookah. Its apperance gave faith to her wild guess but she shook it off quickly. The Wonderland in her impression wasn't like that. She walked closer to the insect which was much bigger than her. It turned its head towards her, noticed her arrival. Yet, its demeanour didn't change, it gave the same uninterested look, took a puff of its long pipe and exhaled smoke rings. "Who are you?" After a sigh it asked in a languid voice.

She didn't answer headlong to the question, because she had spaced out to the script of Alice's reply to Caterpillar's question. She could recite the lines smoothly: “I—I hardly know, Sir, just at present—at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have changed several times since then.” That was Alice's answer, not her though.

Quote:
"I wish I know." She then paused for a while. "I was different in every alternate universe. Once I was a mahou shoujo, a magical girl, another time I was a Legacy, an entity." She began. "Sometimes I was a witch studied in an academy, in one dream I was Hogwarts student. They are all different, were they me? I can't tell." She didn't care if the only audience was listening. "I am a hunter but in one time, I was a horseman, the hunter's enemies. Another time I was a leader of the group that protected a magical kingdom from monsters, it felt so real but was it true?" She continued to mumble.

She changed her pose and shrugged. "I can't answer anything about them since I just saw a section of their lives." She put her hand in front of her chest, "I can only tell you about the me standing in front of you. I'm someone who is destined to be alone forever, someone who struggled in between the crevice of live and death." She said in a mocking tone, as if that someone wasn't her. "I'm a stubborn girl, even my sisters said so. I don't want to live already but I need a reason to live, so I could keep my promise. Some people can live for themselves, yet, in the world, there's a type of people who live for others. I'm the latter, once I lived for my family, now they are gone, I need to find someone else to be my reason. That feeling......was like finding a needle in an ocean, it's a weary task."

"I don't know where to go or what to do, I am just - just like a piece of dead leave drifting on the surface of water, waiting for the moment to sink and vanish." Actually, she was jealous of those hers in alternate universes. In those spaces, they had companions, unlike her. She had already lost her freedom. She can't start over either.

The Caterpillar didn't say anything but let her proceed anyway and tossed her a piece of mushroom. Having the previous experience, she was reluctant to take a bite. However, looking at it steadily, she felt she needed to.

gaia_crown [ Day 2 – The Winding Forest ]

After a lot more wandering through the forest, following endless winding paths, they end up in a darker, more sinister part of the woods, the path once again blocked by gnarled trees and thorns making progression difficult. In the forest, it is impossible to see the sky and any glimpse of it is pitch black. Already claustrophobic it only becomes more so.

gaia_angelright Once again these prompts can be a shared experience (with the exception of the cat prompt) but everyone needs to roll, you don’t need to do the same prompt twice. You progress regardless. Once again total word count for the day must exceed 500 words per person either in one post or spread out through some rp/discussion.

Choose a path to proceed ahead
Roll 1d4 -

Quote:
1. Caterpillar - Finding yourself herded by the brambles and thorns down a tightly winding path, you find yourself at the many feet of an enormous caterpillar smoking a hookah. It looks mostly uninterested at your arrival, but does turn its attention on you, taking a long puff of its pipe and exhaling strange undulating smoke rings. It sighs. “Who are you?” it asks.
Only if you answer the question of who you really are in 100 words or more will he let you proceed, and for your trouble you gain a piece of mushroom which lets you either shrink or grow within reason in the strange world you find yourself in, but you cannot choose which (roll 1d6, odd is large, even is small)

2. Cat - You end up on a wildly twisting path through the forest, seeing the same sights over and over. You are certain you are lost and that no matter what direction you turn you always find yourself back at the same place. Before you appears a large smile, followed in turn by a striped and sinister looking cat. No one else in your group can see him but you and he speaks to you about one of your deepest secrets. You find yourself temporarily driven a little mad by the aura of the creature and you turn upon your teammates or self. This is mercifully temporary and after several minutes sanity returns once again.

3. Tea Party - Through a broad and leafy path you come across an enormous table laid for a tea party with three figures at at it, the march hare, the hatter and the dormouse. They welcome everyone to join them but no one is permitted to leave until they furnish the others with either a riddle or a story.

4. Oysters - The path opens up to a hazy sea shore and as they go they (either one individual or any number of people present) begin to lose sense of where they are and who they are. Soon enough they have to stop exhausted, overcome with the realisation that they are and were always oysters. They stop, only to be found by a large walrus in a suit and a carpenter. What began as a pleasant walk quickly degenerates into them being eaten in a graphic and unpleasant way.

Mercifully afterwards, the entire party snaps back to reality shaken but unharmed.

She continued her journey to nowhere, explored in the forest. As she turned back to check out, she couldn't make out where the Caterpillar was. After she bit on the mushroom, she found herself swollen in size. She flipped her head towards the front and the image of a big castle can be seen vaguely.

"Red queen's castle......" She muttered. The more features matched with those in Wonderland, the more she refused to believe it. Eyes fixed on the castle idly, she moved onward. When she overheard chattering noises, she finally realized she walked out the forest already. Now she was at a place that looked like an English garden, it was a beautiful place with roses all over except - she examined and discovered the red roses looked unnatural, something seemed to be dripping.

Her action to touch a rose was interrupted by a shout. A vexed playing card stomped quickly for her and warned her not to destroy their hard work, he shoved her the brush in his thin hand as well as a bucket of red paint. He said the time was running short and they needed to hide the failure from Your Majesty or they'd be beheaded. She took a glance at some playing cards nearby and noticed they were trying to paint the white roses into red. While she spent more time to contemplate, the card, Two urged her to start working.

Shu worked on the section she was assigned and moved her brush while humming the "Painting the Roses Red" song featured in Disney animated film. It was a catchy song and with the brisk rhythm she did it smoothly and quick. Glad for her performance, they allowed her to get into the castle.

Standing below the entrance of the castle, she questioned if it was really Wonderland.

gaia_crown [ Day 3 – The Red Queen’s Castle ]
Routes are player choice - Anyone wanting to reach the final throne room must pass at least one of these prompts

Route 1 - Painting the roses red
You come across a group of people sized playing cards frantically trying to paint white roses red. They enlist you to help.

Roll 1d20, if you roll above 7 then you are successful in helping them and they approvingly let you pass into the castle out of gratitude, if you roll below this then you must choose one of the below two tasks to complete to proceed.

Route 2 - The castle maze -
Another way into the castle is via the castle’s enormous hedge maze, this way is perilous and difficult but can have hidden rewards. You need to roll twice successfully to pass.

Roll 1d6
1 - Success - You mentally map out the maze as you go, successfully remembering the path you need to take.
2 - Success - Ahead of you the strange cat appears and points you down the right path.
3 - Success - Runic household item - Small runiced appliance
4 - Fail - You encounter nothing but dead ends and lose your sense of direction.
5 - Fail - A dangerous pit opens up at your feet, so close you almost fall in, realising your way is now blocked.
6 - Success - You hear arguing around a corner which leads you in the right direction.

gaia_angelright If you fail you find yourself back at the beginning of the maze, either start over the maze or choose one of the other two prompts you haven’t done to proceed.

Route 3 - Prompts
You find yourself at a strange tunnel lined all the way through with mirrors. It is dark and as you go you grow more and more disorientated. After a time you realise your own reflection is watching you. It speaks to you and states. “You will only make it if you face yourself.”

Choose one of the below prompts and write 500 words on it.

- Your reflection criticises your weakest points, tearing you down, what does it say and how do you find the strength to outpace it? Can the others hear it?
- Your reflection praises you, focusing on the good things you've done, does it help you escape the tunnel? Can the others hear it?
-There is something wrong with your reflection, it seems to talk little sense and speaks about things you only vaguely remember in dreams. This makes for a surreal experience and can be quite frightening, do the others see it too?
- Your reflection is still and silent, it follows you but says nothing at all, merely watches you, what do you do? Does it unsettle you? Do you feel like it is supporting you?

The castle was big, and she didn't know what to do next. Unlike the story that Alice got arrested and put into a trial, she ran inside the castle. Like the castle in Middle Ages, the Asian had never been to places as big as that. In addition, there was no map to point her direction, it was as risky as fiddling around as a blind person.

Her heart beat unwillingly raced when she heard clanks of metal and many footsteps going towards her side. The castle was unexpectedly densely guarded. Following the smell of food, she went into a kitchen-like room. The daylight was too bright for her to possibly hide up, she decided to stay there until the night fell.

Hiding up at a dark corner reminded her of hte time she hid inside the wardrobe, when her father yelled and knocked down things. It was an unpleasant experience, a thrilling and scary scenario. It ironically reoccured again, she was hiding up and there were soldiers on the corridor, patroling. She curled up as small as she could, eyes stared at the only entrance.

Quote:
3. You find a place to hide until nightfall in a quiet and rarely visited room on the upper floors - Safe

gaia_crown [ Final Day - The Queen’s Throne Room. ]
gaia_angelright If you fail at any point here you must wait another day before you can roll again (unless specifically stated otherwise)

The red queen’s throne room is enormous and is linked to a vast network of guarded rooms and corridors, at the end of these rooms is the treasure room where the valuable and often stolen treasures are stowed away by the selfish queen.

gaia_angelright Success means you can move onto rolling an artifact, Safe means if you fill in an rp post you can roll again, a free re-roll can simply be immediately re-rolled if you wish. Fail means you must wait 24 hours to roll again.

1d10
Quote:
1 - You are almost caught by the guards on the way to the treasure room, however they get sidetracked by a voice from down the hallway. It sounds familiar somehow. - Re-roll without cooldown
2 - You all successfully make it to the treasure room through a combination of stealth and sheer dumb luck - Success
3 - You find a place to hide until nightfall in a quiet and rarely visited room on the upper floors - Safe
4 - Success
5 - You find a banquet hall where you have some food to eat, no one else is here and it's a safe place to hide for the day - Safe
6 - You stumble upon an attic filled with strange toys, magical objects and concerningly, guillotines. You opt to hide there for the night - Safe
7 - OFF WITH THEIR HEADS, the group find themselves caught by the red queen and only narrowly escape with their heads intact, they need to wait before they can even think of trying again -Fail
8 - Success
9 - You find yourself cornered by a group of playing card guards, they turn you in and you are sent away from the castle. Unless you successfully helped them paint the roses red, in which case, they turn a blind eye- Fail or (if you did the roses red quest) a free no-cooldown reroll.
10 - You get lost on the way to the treasure room and need to come back the next day with a better idea about where the hell you are going - Fail

The night inside the castle was a much different story, it was of less noises and the flickering candle lights hung on the two sides of the wall brought a mysterious atmosphere to it.

To be honest, she enjoyed night time much more than day time. It was quiet and sans intervension. The night calmed her soul and eased her fear, though darkness always associated with loneliness. It was still better than the day.

She peeked from the room and checked carefully the two sides, made sure there was free of soldiers before she stepped out and moved. The corridor was wide and silent, the lights flickered and projected her shadow onto the wall gave an illusion of someone's behind her. Each step was of precaution, as she reached a corner, she peeked out only a litle bit, flipped towards her back before she stuck to the wall. One corridor to anther, she had walked past several already but she seemed to be just going around.

In a happenstance, she met with the staircase. Thinking it would be another choice, she bent down her body and climbed up the stairs. The marble floor upstair was the same, covered with high quality red carpets along the length. She had heard the Queen had a crazy love to red color. Not soon, she heard of heavy footsteps and slipped into the room closet to her. A pair of armored playing cards passed the corridor, gossiped about the Queen's treasure in low volume. She was lucky to overhear that at a close distance, behind the door.

Feeling they were far away from her, she slided down and sat on the floor in a relief. She was still wondering if it's Wonderland, especially the Wonderland she knew. It looked so differnet, yet she could find common points. She had no idea what to do next, and more importantly, how to leave this twisted Wonderland. "Do I have any choice?" She muttered to herself.

No, she didn't and she knew the answer.

She didn't believe in luck when many bad things happened around her since childhood, somehow she stumbled upon the treasure room.

The room was filled with different shiny objects, besides chests of coins, pearl necklaces, and so on. She walked close with caution, as if careless move would wake them up from sleep. Shu looked around for something, something that might help her to escape this world. Treasure room was often guarded by a dragon, but she didn't see one there. After digging into the piles and piles of gold coins, she found nothing.

While she was about to leave, something gleaming caught her attention. She rushed towards it and picked it up, in her grasp was a pair of cufflinks, ironically shaped like the head of a hare.

As she did so, everything dimmed, swallowed by darkness and silence. She woke up in cold sweats on her bed, realizing it was just a dream. Something stung her head and opened her palm, she found the hare cufflinks.

"It was a dream.......right?"
