The news of the recent events spread wide across Tendaji, from the mountains of Zena to the remote settlements in Zinris. Everyone knew that something major had happened, but very few could agree on exactly what it was. Sure, the Alkidike sisters and their new daughters had a clue, but they kept such stories close to their heart. Only the few who ventured out to the Earthling settlements shared their tales, and even then it was so widely out of scope that many refused to believe. After all, why would anyone want to believe that there lived a race of unknown creatures that could control Earthlings and kill them with a wave of their hand?
It was easier for everyone to feign ignorance and stick to what they knew. Prepare for war, prepare for battle, and prepare as a nation of allies.
It seemed that everyone was determined to come together, as a whole, and figure out how to best protect their lands. The letters that spread from leader to leader spoke of individual impressions and a determination to meet and plot. It seemed many pushed past their differences to come together, including the newer races of Belrea and Yael. A great gathering was in the works, and everyone seemed to have different feelings on what that really meant.
As you hear reports of your leaders traveling to the heart of Tendaji, how do you feel about it? Do you trust that they will come out with the right decision, or do you think it's a massive mistake and time is better spent protecting their own people? Take some time to reflect on your feelings, or even roleplay with a friend to talk about what you think will happen with the gathering between leaders.

"They can't be trusted," Jianyu said with spite as he waved a hand in the air still holding on to the piece of bread his father had given him. He was having his weekly meal with the older Yaeli and they were discussing the rumors that the leaders were going to meet and speak about these dretch creatures. "Our leaders are crazy if they think they can even deal with the others. I mean do they really expect the banished and their daughters to even listen to what they have to say?"
Jianyu couldn't believe anyone would trust the Elaria and their crazy mothers. Tendaji had come together to Banish those Alkidikes and now they wanted to take them back? People were delusional if they thought that was going to go down peacefully.
"It is crazy, thought I am surprised you are not for the idea considering your studies." Jianyu say the jab when it came and deflected it by simply ignoring the statement. His father jabbed at him as such whenever it had to do with the mainlanders and Jianyu knew not to get into an argument with him. They never ended well and they didn't speak for far too long after one.
"All I am saying," Jianyu started again, leaning back in his chair. "Is that I think we're perfectly safe under the gods here, we don't need the others. We didn't need them before and we don't need them now." He shrugged and took a bite of the bread.
He didn't understand how the Yaeli could even possibly think of working with the Alkidikes, Banished or not, as well as the Elaria. And what about those new Belreans? They didn't know anything about them, what if they were the ones causing all of this? No, they couldn't be trusted either. Jianyu didn't like this, didn't like it at all. None of them were trust worthy and even less the Elaria if they were involved in all of it. They were spewing around crazy rumors from what he'd heard and it only fueled his burning hatred of them.
"Well nothing we can't do about it, you're just a boy and I'm not anyone special." Jianyu's father shrugged.
"Well I dare say they would listen to their people before just jumping into something like this. Surely we are not the only ones who believe this?" Jianyu had heard many express their worry about joining the others in such an endeavor. "The priests and priestesses must have something to say about this, they couldn't just let it happen could they?" Surely the gods would not fail them and would show them the right away of going about it. They couldn't be it.
"I do not know, I have not heard anything about what they may be saying about the subject." He shrugged.
"You do not seem too worried about this father," Jianyu said slowly eyeing his father disapprovingly.
"Jianyu, we are but simple Yaeli, there is not much we can do to help the situation."
"The dretch are dangerous and our people need to be protected. This is nothing to simply discard like a dirty rag!"
"I am not a fighter and neither are you," he snapped back. "Go back to your books and let our fighters worry about this."
Jianyu decided he no longer wanted to discuss the subject with his father. He hated how his father didn't bother with anything that did not directly affect him. The Yaeli needed to stand together as one strong unit and they would survive the dretch. Jianyu wasn't for trusting some of the other races but grudgingly he had to admit it wasn't the worst of ideas. At least the Yaeli had not cut themselves off from the rest of the world again, that would have been worst.
"I'm sure we'll just figure it all out ourselves." Jianyu said bitterly and his father eyed him warily.
The Yaeli were smarter and more capable then everyone thought of them, they didn't need the others to figure out how to deal with the dretch. If they wanted to get involved it should only be a minimum and they most definitely couldn't trust almost all of the other Earthlings. He just hoped they wouldn't be burned in the end for it. Still his father was right about one thing, Jianyu was just a boy and he could not do anything to help them. Not yet at least. Jianyu had other plans for himself, plans he kept to himself.
