Some have described it as being seven feet tall, covered in moss and weeds and mud and who knows what else; while no one has been able to confirm this, if you venture too close you might wind up observing something strange, yourself. The park no longer feels safe and if you wander too close you may feel hateful eyes upon you. You may even wind up chased out by a monstrous swamp monster, but if you try to approach him or interact otherwise, he seems to disappear. [color=#cb5dae][size=11]Eleusis was a pretty shitty Knight. She knew that. She didn't do a lot, and what she did do was a lot of flailing and desperately trying. But she'd heard rumors about one of the parks - about how all the rain had left it watery and filled up, and how people were seeing monsters in the water. Eleusis knew what monsters meant. Monsters meant Negaverse.
So dangit, she was down there investigating. Her long dress wasn't exactly made for this sort of thing, but she'd torn some off and hiked the rest up around her thighs, tying it in a knot to give her more room to walk, and strode towards the water with a determined frown. She was going to suss out this strange swamp beast, and if it was a youma, she was going to dust it, damn it.[/size][/color]

Caledonite was growing increasingly tired of the weird things going on around this city... Reports of strange bats, a strange, yet alarming increase of spider webs that adorned the city, and god knows what else. Part of him wondered if it was youma. Though he supposed that if it were... the Negaverse would have gotten a handle on them by now... but yet...
Caledonite sighed irritably, finishing the braid before tossing it back over his shoulder as he stared down the swamp before him. There was no way he was getting this crap in his hair.
Eleusis glanced around, and her eyes fell on a tall figure. A tall figure with a trail of green behind him - which was, funnily enough, exactly how Eleusis had heard the monster described.
"Hey!" She shouted. She could feel him - could feel that this was a Negaverse Lieutenant, and that meant she could totally take him and that she could stop this, because she was right! It was all a plot!
She ran forward and flung herself at him, ignoring that she was much smaller and she probably wasn't going to do much, and also that the monster was supposed to disappear if you got too close.

Caledonite grunted when someone slammed into him, staggering and almost slipping into the marshy water. "God damn it..." He hissed, hand reaching around to rip it off his back. "I don't have time for this s**t!" Caledonite snarled, only for his tone to die down immediately
Oh.
Caledonite blinked slowly, stance relaxing some as he shot the girl a curious look. He knew those colors well. Hell, he was still adorned in them, to a point. His uniform was a lot darker then hers though. Cosmos. "Just... what do you think you're doing?" Caledonite grumbled.
Up close, Eleusis had to admit that maybe she had been a little bit overenthused in thinking that she could Handle This. He was, probably, close to if not over a foot taller than her, and there was something genuinely intimidating about that.
Still, she'd started this, and she was determined to finish it.
"You!" She jammed a finger intro his chest, like that was in some way intimidating. "You're not the one scaring people off around here, are you? Because if you are, I'm gonna stop you."
Yeah, sure, totally, that was definitely a thing she could do and it wouldn't at all end in comedic failure.

Caledonite snorted with a roll of his eyes. "No. It's not me. I've got better things to do besides haunt some flooded excuse of a park." He had left Caer at home, curled up in a bunch of blankets with the promise he'd be back in a few hours. He'd already been gone for a few. He couldn't take to much longer. He'd have to finish his rounds quickly, if he wanted to get back before Caer started getting worried.
"You though... How are you going to stop someone like me?" He asked, eyeing her. "You can't be nothing more then a Page. Which means you have no magic. You're defenseless. Unless you actually got a decent weapon, though given what I've seen? I'll doubt you got anything of value, let alone use." Caledonite sneered. "But I'll humor you. If you want to fight then let's go. Ladies first"
Eleusis frowned. "Well, fine then." She said, like it wasn't something deeply disappointing. That meant there was still probably something else in the swamp, and -- she glanced over and swore she saw something move, and she tried not to show that she was nervous. That could put her in a whole lot of danger.
"I'm not defenseless," Eleusis snapped, "and I don't need a weapon or any magic or anything like that to take you out." She shifted, quickly, into something like a fighting stance, curled her hand into a fist, drew it back, and aimed to slam it as hard as she could into his gut.

Caledonite snorted. "Of course you're not. You're not a page of Cosmos. Who are, typically, non combative. Usually their uniforms look like the hybrid spawn of the night sky and a rainbow. You're definitely not one of those 'make love, not war' types." He rolled his eyes. "My mistake for recognizing something so disgustingly familiar."
The Lieutenant huffed when he was punched in the stomach, but didn't back down. "The last time I fought someone 'not' like you. They had some plant sprig as a weapon. Another person had some stupid candle on a stick. Guess who won in the end?" Caledonite sneered. "Let me just tell you that it wasn't Cosmos, who won."
"It doesn't matter what I have for a weapon!" She snapped. Then, she brought her leg up and forward in a hard, forceful high kick, the kind fot hing she did every day for cheer practice.
a** kicking was as easy as breathing, if you let it be, in her opinion.

"Well now there's a thought.." Caledonite mused, before his gaze darkened. "My starry scarf?" He questioned with a laugh. "Really? The 'starry scarf' should clue you in." The Lieutenant hissed, catching her fist and returning it with one of his own. "It should! It should matter because Cosmos is just going to screw you like she did me. Like she did Rannoch!" He yelled, before staggering back under the pressure of the kick. "Do you think I'd have this damn scarf if I was originally a Negaverse Agent? Do you think I'd be caught dead in this otherwise?" No. If it weren't for everything... Caledonite knew his uniform would have been different. He clutched at the fabric of his tunic. It only served as a jarring reminder that things had to go to hell, before they got better. "My name is Caledonite. Negaverse Lieutenant." Cale picked himself up, staring her down the whole time.
Eleusis felt like she'd been punched. She actually staggered back, away from him, and tried to picture it - tried to picture all his night-black as white, as pastels, and...and it was too easy. She could see it. A tiny noise of horror passed her lips, and she didn't bother to block when he swung his fist, so his punch caught her in the face and she yelped.
Still, the steel quickly returned to her gaze, and she narrowed her eyes.
"Well, Caledonite, I'm Eleusis of Cosmos, and the Negaverse is never gonna have me." She said sharply. "So get out of here and leave me alone, or I'm gonna send you flying into the swamp. Got that?"
