After gathering the supply, Ru made her way to Home Tree with Tahni. Since the storm ended, Ru never took in the true damage of their home. Branches lay fallen on the jungle floor, the hammocks that spread throughout each limbs were mostly tattered and torn. If some still were in place, they were hanging on just barely. The lioness sighed. She remembered the storm when it hit. It was a memory she'd likely never forget.

Blue eyes turned towards Tahni. Sadness shown in them. To think, what could the pride had done to anger such a beautiful land. Shaking her head away from those thoughts, Ru moved forward. "Where do we even begin...?" she questioned out loud. The debris on the ground? The hammocks? With so many broken limbs, they may need to find alternative spots for sleeping until Home Tree was back to her former glory.

He was extremely pleased that she had come along to help. Overall he was glad she was alright, despite the loss of some of her family. He was kindred to that emotion, it was a terrible feeling not knowing if they were with the great mother or still out there somewhere.

"I think if we start clearing out some of the debris first we can start to rebuild some of the sleeping locations." Or even create some makeshift areas where they could bed down until they were able to properly assess what was still sturdy. Giving a firm nod of his head he made his decision. "Yes, I think clearing out the debris would work perfectly well for now. Probably best to start from the top and work our way down?"

Ru nodded in agreement. It was better to start from the top and work their way down, then start from the bottom. They would potentially be doing more work that way. Without a second glance, the lioness jumped onto a branch. Even though Ru was not born in the pride, she picked up their habits quite quickly. Tree climbing was one of them. She leapt from limb to limb, hearing some crack beneath her weight. "Careful of this one," she called back to Tahni. She didn't want the male to get hurt by falling with a loose branch.

He gave a nod as he followed up the tree with her. Most of the fixtures that had connected the tree and some of the platforms were completely demolished. They would have to rebuild those in time as well. It seemed that there were a few here and there still in tact though, which was a good sign. Mean's they wouldn't have to completely rebuild from scratch. Just mostly rebuild.

"It looks like a few of the higher platforms are still intact. Be careful of them though, I don't know how rickety they are." He said a little concerned for her saftey.

She could not agree with him more. Although heights never bothered the lioness, when something wasn't secured, and could lead to a big drop, she definitely felt a little more nervous. She felt herself do a final leap to the platform, hearing it creak. She held her breath as she swayed before the platform itself stabilized. "This one's good." She said to Tahni down below.

Ru spotted a large limb dangling. It would not be safe to keep it up this high. One good gust of wind and anyone underneath it could find themselves squished. She grabbed the branch with her maw, giving it a slight tug. When it did not budge, she called out to Tahni. "I think we will need to tag team this one!" She stated with a smile, waiting for the male to approach.

He was pleased to see that she was being careful, he really didn't want her to fall. Though there were plenty of branches between them and the ground. Still. It could be very dangerous. He followed her advice about the a couple of the unsturdy locations and then followed her onto the platform.

Brushing off some of the smaller debris he looked over when she mentioned needing his help. "It looks to be that way." He said with a warm smile and moved over to give her a paw with the larger branch.

Ru was grateful for the assistance. Together, the branch that was falling was able to be pulled completely down. With a quick glance below, spotting no one, she let the limb fall. It would be easier to drag the branch on the ground, instead of carrying it from platform to platform. With a satisfied grin, the lioness turned to Tahni. "One down!" She chuckled. They would be here for a while.

(Timeskip)

Night time began to roll in. The jungle was beginning to glow with its bioluminescent lights. Ru loved these sites. It was what drew her to the lands from the stories her mother told her as a cub.

"This never gets old." She said to the male.

As they continued to work together he really didn't feel the time passing by until the darkness was upon them, the glow of the plant life and other creatures around them. "I think we got quite a lot accomplished." He said looking at some of the work they'd done. They'd cleared out most of the debris. "Come, take a break with me." He offered her with a kind smile as he walked towards one of the cleared off locations. It had a nice view of the surrounding area.

The lioness nodded in agreement. They still had plenty to do before Home Tree was back to normal. Maybe the next day, other lions would join in. If they could get another four or five lions to assist, they'd be done in no time! However, there were those still recovering from injuries acquired from the storm.

She walked towards the male, sitting down in the cleared area. "How long do you think it will take to get the pride back to normal?" Could they get the pride back to normal? Ru didn't know. Hopefully, they would be able to find a new normal.

He looked over towards her, he really didn't know the answer but he hoped it wouldn't take too long. "I'm sure it will take some time, but I think we'll be back to some semblance of normal in no time." He was confident that as long as the pride banded together as a whole and stayed strong through all of this they would come out on top no matter the odds. "I'm sure we can all find reasons to be grateful despite everything."

"Agreed," the lioness nodded.

Her eyes settled back on the pride. Occasionally she would see the wisping form of the wood sprites flowing in the breeze. The Navi folk believed those seeds to be sacred spirits. If they had started to return to the land, then there was great hope others would as well.
