It had been like a nightmare. One moment she had been leaving a club via the backdoor, totally staring down a hottie in a ridiculous get up, ******** transported to another goddamn plane of existence ala star wars… or trek… or what ever, then the indignity of all indignity! Nothing worse then what had happened then! Mr. ‘Fork You’ stuck his hand, HIS HAND, in her chest and… did something. She had been groped before, had enjoyed it some times, but this was the first, and god, ********, damn it, last time, someone had ever stuck their hand into her chest. It was so ******** surreal. She didn’t even get the chance to mentally process the current situation before the pain started. And by pain, she meant PAIN. Capital letters, bold, italicized, printed on a billboard, pain. If someone had asked her on a scale of one to ten, one being the least and ten being the highest, where had the pain fallen and she would have ripped their balls off and made them eat them it was that bad. Thankfully she passed out at some point. Blissfully happy to give up the pain, and the confusion, and the pain… did she mention the pain because there had been pain.
She had no idea how long she had been out but her first real thought was how it still hurt. It wasn’t the soul wrenching feel from before but more of a ache. A ‘ate too much’ ache. A ‘too big for your skin’ ache. Definitely not a normal feeling. Nor was the mattress below her normal. It wasn’t her queen sized feather mattress that she sunk into, cocooned in egyption cotton sheets and a warm as sin comforter. It wasn’t a dim room where music played softly and unlit vanilla candles added a soft perfume to the space. It wasn’t her room, not unusual really, but she had no memory of going home with a guy, or even going to a hotel, for some slap and tickle. No, what she did remember was a nightmare, one that apparently just wasn’t going away. With a groan she tossed a arm over her face, unwilling to open her eyes and see that the nightmare had been real.

Rolling his head to the side, pale eyes drifting open, the General eyed the newly made} lieutenant as they seemed to be regaining consciousness - good. The couch wasn’t as comfortable as he’d have liked but it was something, it got the job done, and the pillow in his arms was nice as was the pillow under his head. In fact, the pillows almost made up for how uncomfortable the couch itself was.
He had, upon laying the unconscious lieutenant down gone to bring a couch into the room so he could wait for her to regain consciousness, he’d curled up and fallen asleep. She’d been out far too long, or it was just that he was too tired, either way the result was the same.
“Glad to see you awake finally.” His voice was light, tired, and as he yawned and stretched he sat himself up. His hair, loose form it’s usual ponytail, fell about his face in silken locks of ashen color. “I assume you have questions and I am here to answer them - as well as provide you whatever information I can.” And she would, like every new lieutenant, need a lot of information.

At the sound of a voice the young woman peeked out from the edge of her arm, a silver eye taking the figure of the kid sitting on a couch. If she was younger or he was older she would totally hit on him… a cutie. A total cutie. It took a moment for her to realize that he had been part of the nightmare too. He had been there and had even walked a*****e through whatever it was that he had done. With a gasp she sat up and promptly groaned as the fast movement had her head swimming. Absently she rubbed at her heart with the heel of her and as she waited for the room to stop rocking. It didn’t take long and it took even less time to realize that the small space they were in now just added to the surreal situation she found herself in. Might as well try to get everything out of it she could.
After stretching, a brow rose slightly at her change of clothes, the young woman arranged herself on the bed to maximize her figure and focused on the cutie. “So, questions hum? I do indeed have quite a few. Afterall it's not every day your spirited away and meet such a cutie like yourself.” She smiled and winked at the boy, her flirting more or less harmless since she was still seeing him as little more then a much younger man not realizing that he was only a few years younger than her. “Got to say, I haven’t ever woken up fully dressed in a new outfit before. Can’t say your taste was is all that bad either. A bit militaristic and a little retro but retro is in right now.”

Watching her as she woke, she certainly had a rather nice uniform, he moved forward as she sat up rather quickly. Benitoite could, distantly, remember how disorienting it could be to move too fast right after being corrupted or powered up. It was a lot on the body, more than it wanted to deal with, due to the shock it went through during the ordeal of corrupting or powering up. “You should take it easy for a while. Moving too fast can be a bit much.” As he noted she was alright, or at least appeared to be, he sat himself back and continued to watch her.
“Yes, it’s best to get questions out of the way that way other things can be moved on to quicker. I don’t like to leave officers scrambling for information, almost as much as I dislike leaving officers unable to defend themselves in a fight.” He didn’t like either thing but leaving an officer unable to hold their own...that was dangerous and cruel in his opinion. It left them open to all manner of beating, or death, from the other side. “You can, once you leave here, change clothing by just focusing on it. Powering down, and powering up, is rather easy.” Shifting about he stood for a moment in order to remove his cape and his coat, the fabric a bit heavy and too warm for him at the moment. His gloves also were removed. Slender fingers and soft hands that hadn’t ever seen much hard work, though could and had easily torn the life from people, came into view though no other flesh was newly revealed by the removal of some fabric.
“I’m glad you approve of my clothing though I can’t say I picked my uniform out. I am however pleased with it, it suits me rather well….in fact...I figure my students from last year would even agree if they were to see me like this.” With how he tended to dress, even as a civilian, he was rather sure that his uniform wouldn’t surprise them. Well it would, in a sense, as he would clearly be a terrorist to them. But the style wouldn’t surprise them - it would be fitting for him...expected perhaps.
“You can call me Benitoite. As a civilian, and only as a civilian, call me Alexandre. I’m sure we’ll meet in our civilian lives soon enough.” Considering who had brought her into the Negaverse he knew they would meet as civilians, it would bound to happen. If Ryan heard her call him a cutie he knew it would happen even quicker than he was already figuring.
“Now, questions for me?” He asked while summoning a youma to himself, and telling them to bring him some water. While he might not be thirsty she might be.

As she lay there on the crappy little bed, more like a cot really, and just watched the kid talk a few things occurred to her. First and foremost was that the general ache she had felt when she first woke up was fading but there was still a strangeness all around her, nothing she could really put her finger on just a ‘well I feel weird’ kind of thing. Second was… her undies had changed, yes it did take a little bit to tell mostly because she was no longer dealing with a thong and it felt oddly freeing. What did that mean exactly? Did the cutie change her entire outfit in which case, it was ******** weird. Or was it the a*****e? She needed to punch him anyway but if he was the one pawing her he would be walking away with a few less appendages and she wasn’t talking about his arms or legs. The third and final thing she noticed were the words the other were using. Words like ‘officers’ and ‘powering down/up’. Even the distraction of him striping, sadly not enough to be all that exciting… and he was quite a bit younger than her which made him jailbait, as far as she knew, didn’t keep her from mulling over his language choices.
Her brow rose slightly even as a slight smirk crossed her face as the teddy bear, she just wanted to cuddle him, preened a bit at her supposed complement on his outfit. Really she had meant her own, from what she could make out, but it wasn’t a big deal. He looked quite handsome in his cosplay as well so it was win win anyway. ’Students?’ she silently questioned. ’At what? Camp?’ Even with all the hints and his actions, to her he was still several years younger than her own lofty age. A cougar she was not. Not a cradle robber, nor a troller for jailbait. So no matter how adorable he was he was ‘persona non grata’ in her bedroom. Didn’t mean she couldn’t think about pulling him into her lap and just snuggling him like he was a giant stuffed bunny.
Any amusement she had felt faded rapidly, like ice melting in hell or a person falling off a tall building… that rapid stop at the end would get you every time. Again his words set off ‘what the hell?’ bells in her head. ‘Civilian’ and two, count them two, names? Who the hell names their kid Benitoite? Was it some kind of family thing? She had opened her mouth to voice the various questions that were floating around, maybe toss out some flirtatious comments as well, when this THING showed up. Startled and more than a little afraid, not that she would admit it, the young woman let out a strangled squeak and jerked backwards. Unfortunately for her this caused her to tumble off the bed to land on the floor with a thud. Unwilling to let such a creature out of her sight it wasn’t long before disheveled white curls poked back over the bed, silvery eyes riveted to the youma. “What on god’s green earth is that?”

“This.” He stated nodding his head to the youma. “Is a youma. Think of them as...beasts to command. Some are intelligent, can speak, but the vast majority can’t and are good for doing what you tell them to and little more.” Shrugging his shoulders. Bazzite had been one of the smart ones...one that he had made, accidentally or not, but that was not something to think of right now. Now was time to focus on the new Lieutenant who was on the floor at the moment.
“They help in fights and with collecting energy...among other things.” Waving a hand about as the youma had left to get water for them both, or at least for one of them as he suspected she might need it.
“Now...I suppose since you aren’t asking much for questions I should go over the basics.” Tilting his head a bit, pale eyes watching her, his fingers combed through his hair easily. “The one who brought you into the Negaverse was Captain Witherite, with my assistance. The Negaverse is one of several sides to the fighting which has been plaguing this city for years. You’ll hear us described as many things by the other side - all of them negative and rather unflattering. Don’t let the comments get to you...though if they do killing the offender seems to work.” Shrugging his shoulders as he felt a smile tugging at his lips.
“What we do...is collect energy or starseeds, something I’m sure Witherite will enjoy teaching you, and we are working to remove all other sides from this city so it belongs to us - like everywhere else does.” Though he really didn’t want to see the removal of the dark mirror senshi. They were chaos as well and he honestly wouldn’t mind helping them in whatever they sought to achieve, so long as it didn’t hinder the Negaverse in their goals.

She perked up as Beni, Benitoite was such a mouthful to say so Beni it would be at least in her head, explained about the ‘youma’. More of her appeared from behind the bed, leaning on the mattress to get a better look at the creature that the young man controlled. “It will do whatever I tell it?” She grinned as she eyed the monster leaving with Beni’s wave. “Now how do I get my hands on one of those? My kind of minon.” Her smile was wide and more than a little calculating even as her gaze drifted back towards the pale young man in the ornate uniform. No longer afraid of the youma that had already left she gracefully climbed off the floor and slid across the rest of the bed until she sat on the edge of it facing Beni. Taking a moment to primp and sit properly, but still showing off her toned legs, while the cutie went over ‘the basics’ she hid her slight scowl at the name of the a*****e that caused her so much pain. Even his name was stupid. Witherite? She knew what she wanted to ‘wither’ on his anatomy alright.
Once she was able to school her facial features back to one of amusement with a slight hint of flirtation she turned her full attention on Beni once more. Easily waving away his comment about unflattering terms, “I’ve been called quite a few things and honestly it's normally so far beneath my attention it's not worth even reacting. Those that aren't,” Her sweet smile turned a bit cold and rather feral for a split second, “a well timed response tends to do the trick quite well.” Steal one girl’s boyfriend for a weekend of fun in college and you never live it down. He hadn’t even been worth it. Mentally screwing with the girl for the rest of the school year had been though.
Not really understanding the terms Beni used didn’t faze her but the idea of Witherass doing anything with her was more than enough to ruin her day. “Why him?” Pouting slightly she did her best to turn on the charm. “You seem like a much better teacher. More competent and thorough. Obviously you care more or else he would be here too. Besides, I like you better. I think I would really enjoy spending time with you more so then with him.” There was a fine line between flattery and flirting and she danced along it with precision. Adding just enough inflection to certain words to hint at more but without saying it. What guy didn’t like having his ego stroked just a bit?

“Within reason...as I’m rather sure there are some things they cannot do...or that you wouldn’t want them to do.” He stated from where he had reseated himself. At least she was asking questions, even if she reminded him of some woman perking up at the idea of having a personal servant - or the world handed to them. “As you gain in power you’ll be able to summon less powerful ones to yourself. In time you may bond to one - or one will choose you...either way that can happen.” He didn’t mention creating your own youma, that wasn’t something he would suggest. He had a feeling if he mentioned creating your own she would do it.
“Mmm, indeed...though I do prefer more...effective methods of getting my point across to those who say things I dislike. I find stabbing them works rather effectively.” If it didn’t kill them it certainly kept them on their toes and perhaps, if he was lucky, caused them to bleed a good deal. His own smile was as cold as hers, if not colder, his tone like ice. He was a killer and one who didn’t much care about it, didn’t care that he killed...perhaps even enjoyed it.
Leaning back in his seat he tilted his head a bit, fingers moving with ease through his ashen hair. “Mmmm, Witherite did bring you in...and if you want you could think of me as the grandfather of sorts - since I brought him in….though I think he is a bit older than my twentythree years…” He said trailing off a bit. He was fairly certain the other was older but he couldn’t remember exactly how much older. “While I am more qualified I do want to see how he does in training his first recruit...I’ll be there to assist...as well as available in general. I don’t leave those of my team to fend for themselves….” He knew she was flirting, it was obvious, but he wasn’t flirting back...though he did let his voice trail off here and there and he had a sort of ease and purr to his words.
“You only like me because I look better than him.”

Even as Beni explained about youma and how to gain one as a companion she was mentally deciding that she would have to get one sooner rather than later. It made sense that it required power, everything in the world required power, no reason for this to be any different. It would be nice to have a minion. To have something that followed her every instruction. It was the one thing she didn’t have now that she really did desire but good help tended to cost a lot of money and apparently they had feelings… so sometimes they reacted unpredictably. But if this kid was right then these ‘youmas’ would follow her orders without hesitation, without any backtalk or questions. Exactly her kind of minion.
As her mind focused on the youma and what she could do with it Beni had responded to her quip about brushing off most insults. His cold and calculated response brought a chill to her skin. It felt like someone ran a icecube down her spine, bringing goosebumps and a shiver to her whole body. And she liked it. Even at his age, she was still under the impression he was younger then he was at that moment, he possessed a rather chilling view of the world and had the power to enforce that view. It wasn’t so much the view that interested her but the power. One could have all the money in the world but it would only get you so far. Power on the other hand… that made the world go round. Money also tended to go hand in hand with power. And she liked both. A lot.
Her attention was yanked back to the conversation when it became apparent that her flirtation didn’t work. Apparently she was going to be stuck with the twirp as a teacher but there was something good that Beni said… he was 23. Which put him just a few years shy of her own 25 years. He was totally not jailbait! With a smile the young woman leaned forward just a bit, her mouth opening to comment and flirt a bit heavier only to laugh as Beni flat out said he was hotter than Witherite. Her laughter was rich and freeing, nothing twisted or hidden in its sound as she flat out giggled at that comment. “He is hot, no doubt about it.” She stated after she finished laughing. Any flirtatious or cajoling tone were gone from her speech, if any was left it was all natural. “But you. You have a different type of charm, one I quite like. I don’t suppose you are unattached at the moment?” Guys in a relationship aren't exactly off limits for her but they normally were more work then she was willing to deal with without a really good reason. She liked being the center of attention anyway. Besides no point in antagonizing Beni by pissing off his girlfriend by taking him for a tumble between the sheets.

“Am I? And what sort of charm am I?” He questioned with a brow raised as he watched her. Maybe it was just him looking for someone to stroke his ego, or to say something complementing, but he was enjoying this entirely too much. As the youma turned up with the water he had asked it for, though he did hope it was at least somewhat clean drinking water, he motioned it with an almost dismissive wave of his hand towards the new recruit. “Take a sip - it’s water...I don’t poison my own. I reserve that for everyone else.” At least anyone else who might cross him. There might have been one or two people, civilians, in the past who had something slipped into a drink due to some unfortunate slip of his hand and spin of a ring on his finger. But really all it did was send them rushing off for a bathroom. Some payback for insulting him never hurt - right?
“It’s rather unfortunate I can’t just coat my weapon blade in poision...it would be much more fun with the little senshi and knights...assure they die even if it’s not at my blade it would be due to a plant of mine…” Trailing off he quirked a bit of a smile. The idea was obviously pleasing to the blond.
“A side to me I have to hide from my partner. Really….I wish I didn’t have to sometimes but I don’t plan to bring him into this war. I wouldn’t risk him.” He cared far too much for Aiden, not to mention the other was the provider from his fatherless family. Though if he ever had to….well...he’d brought his cousin in rather than see him become a knight. He would do the same if he ever had to, though he hoped it would never come to such.

“Power… you have power.” And as far as she was concerned power was all that really mattered. “You're also adorable and unless I miss my guess, and I rarely miss, you are rather smart with just a dash of twisted which adds spice. I just want to drag you into my lap and purr.” Her smile was wide and held more than just a touch of invitation. She gingerly accepted the glass of water from the creature, hesitant to drink from it not because the rather ominous words from Beni but because she detested tap water. She prefered bottled water above all else but would settle for filtered water if she had to, tap however was completely out of the question.
So rather than sip from the glass she absently fiddled with it in her lap, latching on to what the guy said. “Ooooh? So I’m one of yours am I?” She smirked and deliberately ran her fingers up the side of the glass in a rather inappropriate way for the topic only to circle the lip of the vessel and travel down its length back to the base. “And how many are there in this little club of ours?” The double entendre was thick in the air but unlike before it was just to tease and tantalize rather than manipulate. She was enjoying herself and wasn’t really doing it to get anything out of it, well besides the normal ‘it's all about me’ part of the conversation.
“Why not?” She asked, curious now as to why he wouldn’t put poison on his weapon… and that particular term was just begging for a crass joke which she would not make since she wasn’t crass, just flirty. “I know I would personally use something a little more, amusing.” And there, the conversation was back on her. “Something that paralyzes rather than kill, not that I would know anything about it,” a slight wave of her hand showed just how much she cared about her lack of knowledge, “but it seems to me that someone who can’t move would be more fun to ‘play’ with.” The air quotes were almost visable when she said ‘play’. There was no doubt that she wasn’t talking about checkers or chess but likely something a lot more… shall we say… entertaining. Honestly she wasn’t as sadistic as it sounded, she just liked things going her way, being about her, doing things she liked and pleased her, basicly it had to be all about her all the time so the idea of being able to control others really, really made her happy.
Sadly the amusement and general air of flirtation dissipated when Beni said ‘him’. His partner was a guy. Such a damn shame. She didn’t care that he went for guys but it meant that he really was off limits and not because of his age this time. “Don’t suppose you bat for either team do you?” It never hurt to ask but she didn’t think that would be the case. Why were all the hot guys gay?

“Witherite is one of mine and since he brought you in, with my assistance, than yes you would qualify as one of mine as well.” And he kept his safe and well trained, he wouldn’t have them getting into fights unable to defend themselves much less hold their own in a fight. He didn’t have an issue with training killers - why should he? Her words still rung in his ears and left a nice warm glow inside of him. Adorable though? Really…? He could do twisted though - he really could do twisted.
“Ahhh….a fair few - I’ve been around a while - I’ve recruited a good number into my little club as you would call it.” Tilting his head a bit, letting his ashen bangs sprawl across his face gently. “I like to...collect people perhaps.” Maybe not. Maybe it was just that he wanted to make sure they didn’t join the other side - ever. He figured it was that but also he wanted to keep a group around him, a well trained group. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be alone, he’d been a longer in school, but rather he wanted to know he had capable backup in a fight or a battle.
“Mmmm...yes. I could see that from you. You would be the sort to enjoy playing with your victims...fitting perhaps.” Running his fingertips lightly over his bottom lip as he watched her. Yes, she was the sort who would play with whoever she was in a fight with. It was something to be watched, so it didn’t come round to bite her in the a**, but it was a style. It was something which could throw some as well. “Mmmm….I like games but I rather watch them writhe on the ground as they gasp for air...air which will never come. I want to watch as they realize it...and try and fight...and slowly die. We play different games - but both good games to play. Perhaps I’ll eventually let you into the greenhouse I have...” Maybe….she wouldn’t turn on him, he didn’t think so anyway, but she was a spider with a well built web around her. She was obvious though, she didn’t hide who or what she was, and for that he was glad.
A smile crossed his face at her question about his sexuality, not something many asked. It wasn’t something he normally mentioned, even in an offhanded manner, it simply wasn’t something he threw about for everyone to know. Most people would figure him straight, no reason to think otherwise aside from maybe his hair being long as it was. Stretching he moved to undo his vest and leaving it where he’d been sitting he moved over towards the other, seating himself next to her.
“No, I don’t suppose I do. You can keep trying to stroke my ego though - it’s rather flattering.” And nothing he would ever hear from his own partner, since he wasn’t about to corrupt Aiden and bring him into the war.

Well Beni’s first comments were a bit of a mixed emotions thing for her. She didn’t like Witherite and didn’t want to be bunched in with him but it did mean that this little pint sized firecracker called her ‘his’ which was always a good thing when one wanted powerful people on your side, but then he followed it up by saying that his little group was rather large which she did not like. What was the point of having a club if it wasn’t exclusive? Although it would give her more people to flirt with and tease and just generally be the center of attention with so it might not be a bad thing per say. It just meant that she would have to be the star in his ‘people collection’.
She was contemplating just this as Beni went on to explain how he liked to play with his ‘toys’ and all she could think was how finite his games were. Yes he liked to see them squirm and lose all hope, a small part of her stared in shock at the cold bloodedness of this man in front of her, but it meant that the fun would end at some point. It was more amusing to keep someone on as a pet. She never had boyfriends… she had pets, and the occasional fling. She was in charge. She was the center of their world. When she said ‘dinner’ they asked ‘homecooked or restaurant’. And once she was bored with them nothing could change her mind. It made life interesting to say the least. However that seemed to be different than what the man radiating power liked to do. His game was much shorter to say the least. Rather than contradict him yet again and possibly bug him which would mean using him to gather her own power, like that youma minion thing, would take just that much longer, she just focused on the greenhouse comment. “Sadly I wouldn’t know a rose from a weed,” She smirked, “but I’ll gladly see whatever you would like to show me.” The flirt was there but more for the tease then the flirt.
Silver eyes hooded slightly as Beni stretched and slipped off his vest, a crass part of her brain wanted to ask him to take off more before being slapped down but the more adult side. She didn’t flinch or slide away, or even closer, when the smaller man came to sit next to her on the rather crappy bed she had woken up on just a bit ago. If one didn’t know he was gay or even interested in her at all sexually, which was a damn shame because she knew she was a great lay, one might think something would possibly happen. Especially when he made the ‘stroke my ego’ comment. If ever there was a double entendre, that was it. Instead all she did was smile and shift enough so she was facing him. “Oh I can definitely do that but I have a feeling you might be a bit more interested in me. Afterall I’m now part of your ‘collection’. It’s always a good idea to know just what I can do before you make up your mind.” And she wasn’t just talking about whatever he meant by ‘collecting energy or starseeds’ either. Just because he was gay and not interested at that moment didn’t mean she couldn’t eventually get him wrapped around her finger one way or another.

“A rose...is far more lovely than a weed...though the weed might be the one to kill a person - so just as worthy of attention...just for a different reason.” Which was true. It was sometimes the plant which seemed harmless, even unnoticeable, which could cause a person problems. It could also be the harmless though lovely, romantic even, flower which could kill a person or at least bring them great harm. It was never easy to tell what ones could do what, unless you knew.
“Mmm, yes...another flower in my little garden of officers. With some training and time you’ll bloom into a deadly officer that will make any senshi or knight think twice about crossing you.” He would see that for all of his if he could. Help them rise up so their names were known and brought about stories of scars earned and beatings dealt amongst their enemy. He wanted the other side to fear and respect those on his team.
“Please...do tell me about yourself and ask anything you want to know. You’ll find that my one weakness is I’m a terrible liar.” Which meant that he might omit things and might twist or stretch the truth, but he never did lie. He was rather easy to read when lying and so he refrained from doing so, as he was easily caught and he rather disliked being caught and called out on his poor abilities. There was really no point in it for him, nothing to gain and much to lose. “Please...make me want to keep you in my little group.” Motioning for her to speak, a slow smile slipping across his delicate features.

She chuckled and couldn’t help but lean over for a quick shoulder bump, “I have a feeling we will get along swimmingly.” He really was quite adorable, and it was a bit of a shame that he was gay. Ah well. A girl can’t have everything. If she could then she would be rich with a stable full of hot guys to wait on her hand and foot. Hmm…. Could I make one of those youma thingies get me a hot guy? She mentally contemplated even as she started to talk.
“Well I do enjoy talking about myself, it's the topic I know the best after all.” She stuck out her hand and promptly said, “I’m the fabulous Strengite-” She stopped abruptly when the name popped out without her realizing it. That was odd! “I mean to say that my name is Shannon, Shannon McCord, not Strengite.” That had been really odd. Really, really odd. “Anyway, I’m a Libra, a freelance writer, a club hopper/reviewer, a blogger, and not a half bad pole dancer if I say so myself.” That last part had her tossing him a saucy wink. “My hobbies are men, dancing, and me. I’m driven and focused and extremely flexible.” With a smile she sat back and crossed her legs with prim dacorum, something she did only for amusement right then. “Darling I am exceptional. Why wouldn’t you want me? Now enough about me. Tell me how I can get one of those minion things, if you wouldn’t mind.”

“Mmm, it would seem like it.” Though he wouldn’t figure that as a sure thing yet, she was new and he wanted to get to know her better - see what she was like. It would take time, but they had that, perhaps she would turn out as well as he thought she might. Though things like that, as he knew, could change easily. All it took was the wrong run in or the wrong battle...and things could change for the opposite.
Oh, she certainly did like talking about herself. If he had an ego back in school, and even now, she was worse. The arrogance he’d always had...she was worse but it was amusing to listen to, he almost rolled his eyes and laughed in fact. As she went down a list of things he wasn’t surprised by most of what she said, though the wink of hers did in fact earn her an eye roll. He really wasn’t surprised by that.
“You can get a personal youma once you gain some power….become a captain. You need the power to get a youma to listen to you...or they might just kill you.”

Details, details, details. It didn't really worry her about the whole ‘kill you’ comment. She was strong. She was smart. She was the best, so she just dismissed Beni’s warning, unknowing just how valid that warning was. “Well then, there is no time like the present! Let the learning commence… teacher,” she practically purred that last word. The sooner she could reach this ‘captain’ phase the sooner she could have a pet of her own.
