To enter, all you need to do is write a Haiku! A haiku is composed of three lines. The first line has 5 syllables. The second has 7. And the third has 5, again.You can enter more than one haiku. And your haikus can have more than one stanza. They can be just descriptive, or they can tell a story. The only requirements are the syllable counts that make up a haiku, and that your haiku(s) follow one (or more) of the prompts below. I will notify you if your haiku doesn't meet these requirements, so you have the chance to fix them. But if they aren't fixed by the end of the contest, they will not be counted. = Prompts =You don't have to answer each question in the prompt(s). They are merely there to give ideas. Your haikus should be told from the point of view of someone who lives in the undersea village. Prompt 1 You've lived in the ocean village all your life. How do you view it?With awe? Disdain? Have you ever thought of leaving? Prompt 2 Last sacrifice, they offered a friend of yours to quell the deep.Who were they? How did you react? Is that "just the way it goes"? Prompt 3 After wandering too far from the village, you find yourself at the mouth of the cave.Do you enter? Run away? Do you see or hear anything strange? = Rules =

There will be a first place and second place winner for the judged portion of the contest. The remaining prizes will be raffled off based on participation.
You can write multiple stanzas and enter multiple haikus. Each stanza counts as one ticket for the raffle portion of the contest. Ex. I entered 2 haikus, 3 stanzas each. I get 6 tickets.
You can only win one freebie Soquili and one freebie Familiar during the event.
You may co-own a Soquili prize, but the prize will count as both your and your co-owner's Soquili freebie for the event.
You may gift a specific person your prize, but the prize will count as both your and the other person's Soquili or Familiar freebie for the event.
You can only win one prize from this contest.

Haikus must be your original work. If I catch you plagiarizing, you will be disqualified.
Any entries posted after closing will not be counted, sorry.
