Personality:
- Purposeful: A dragonrider needs to have a goal. With thread falling, Ly'bur knows a rider has one purpose. He is determined to do everything he can to protect un-riders.
- Felicific: He believes that having a great purpose and fulfilling it will promote increasing happiness. Ly'bur is never happier than after a threadfall. He is scornful of those riders who don't acknowledge their proper purpose in life and return to the weyrs.
- Tasteful: Ly'bur likes setting new fancy trends with riding harnesses. Tried and true harnesses work well for threadfall, but otherwise he likes to experiment with materials and tooled leather for when he's just out and about.
- Gossip: Ly'bur lives for gossip. It is probably his favorite pastime. He loves to gather and spread gossip which may or may not be true. When he's not doing his duties as a rider, he wants to know everything about everyone. Even going so far as to listen to private conversations on personal metters.
- Presumptuous: Due to his up bringing, Ly'bur has a certain arrogance about him. He knows that he's better than some, just as he knows some are better than him. For instance, any rider is better than a commoner. Just as brownriders are better than blue or green, while unfortunately golds and bronzes are better than him. Luckily there's not many gold or bronze riders right?
- Pharisaical: He's a stickler for rules and can be quite pompous when laying down the rules for someone below his station. He tends to have a bit of a blindside for his gossip though, acting with a bit of hypocrisy. Otherwise, Ly'bur has a self-righteousness with regard to the strict adherence to the rules and formalities awarded to a higher ranking rider.
- Quiet: The best way to hear stuff is to be quiet. He practices listening to others and encouraging them to talk to him. He's not above eavesdropping to get a good scoop.
- Busy: Ly'bur likes to keep himself busy. No lazing about for him. Even days off are filled with something constructive.

History:
He was born to a privileged family of High Reached Hold, and while they weren't in direct line of the Lord and Lady, he likes to think they were pretty close. All his life his parents told him it was their privilege and right to lead and rule. The attitude his parents instilled into him caused him no small amount of trouble as a young child when he tried to bully the lower born kids.
Lyeonbur was born third of six siblings. He has an older brother(the eldest) and sister; followed by a younger sister, another brother, and the last sister. It wasn't easy growing up with his family, and he often found himself starved for a little attention. To get the attention he craved, he started gathering gossip, any little tidbit of information that he could use to get others to listen to him. He made plenty of enemies when he disclosed his gleaned gossip.
For a time his life revolved around the petty affairs, the drama among his family, and the ring of his cohorts. At his twelfth birthing day, his father started teaching him the family business. For a time his life followed a predictable routine. Until a green dragon landed on the hold's heights. It was that dragon that picked him out to be a candidate at age 15. Then he got all the attention he desired from his family. Proud, enthusiastic parents, and jealous siblings.
He left for the weyr and found himself at the bottom of the pecking order. It was difficult to adjust to, but slowly over time, things began to make sense. Lyeonbur made a few friends among the other candidates as they worked and waited for their chance to impress. It was a long wait for him as hatchings went by, his friends impressed, but he was left standing.
When he was 23 Turns, he fathered a daughter with a lower cavern worker. Lyeonbur wasn't particularly interested in the child and left most of the raising to the girl's mother. He did keep an eye on her through rumors and gossip. Two turns later and his brown Hinburath hatched and claimed him as his rider. Lyeonbur became Ly'bur there after. About six turns after that, he managed to impress a blue firelizard who he named Haunter for the blue's tendency to lurk in shadows and dark places.
Over the last couple of Turns, as his daughter approaches the age to enter candidacy Ly'bur has been keeping a closer eye on her. He's being more active in her life and encouraging her to impress the gold he knows she can.

Physical Description: A light brown fading to dark brown toward his extremities, spider web markings on his wings.
Personality: Hinburath is nearly as obsessed as his rider with local gossip. He would happily spend all day listening for new gossip. The brown prefers to lurk on high ledges where he can watch without being seen and listen in on others. If you want to talk about gossip and maybe provide some in return, that is perfectly acceptable. He does not have much patience for those who try to interrupt his gossip gathering without good reason.
The brown is quite tolerant of different viewpoints of others. He will easily go with whatever flow is presented to him at the moment. Hinburath doesn't see anything wrong if High Reaches wants to keep to the traditional rider ranking system. While he is accepting of differences he can easily be misguided by his rider when Ly'bur feels strongly about something. His rider's strong emotions can make the brown heedless of the true situation.
