Desperation was a dangerous thing, but the last conflict had put heavy strain on the world resources -- enough that Wren had jumped through an unexplored rift as many had begun hunting trade for more resources in the multiverse, all to hope for a world she could get plenty for the world from. Humans needed to eat, after all, and Wren had taken to enough to avoid her systems lowering to a nigh-automatous state as she hunted. Flying had been right out, and when she arrived...

The new world -- it was so lush. The air almost shimmered as plants claimed ruin and waste with an almost supernatural brilliance. The air was clean, and the city nearby shone. Wren moved for that first, marvelling at all of it. Still, she was in inadequeate condition to scavange more than a small amount -- her4 energy levels were near critical, and after teleporting some wild fruits and seeds back home, her systems crashed for want of food, replenishment. The bridge had pushed too hard.

She woke in a nest like environment. Her systems registered that she's been online three days, but her cognitive functioning -- her very personality and normal mind was wakingh now, and her nose twitched slowly before she looked around. It seemed she'd managed auxillary from somewhere, and slowly, Wren began to get up to move, when her limbs gave out and she flopped on her side. OK, so maybe she was trapped.

...Yeah great, and she blinked, watching a mote or three of light float by, analysing that instead.

"...Magic...?"

"I wouldn't move yet, if I were you." The stranger was a curious sight in this world, hungry and exhausted, and while Omega wasn't normally one to have pity on invaders from other dimensions, something about this young lady had moved his core enough to make him decide to help her out.

... Maybe it was because she was clearly here on a supply run of some sort, and was unwell. Knowing how close his own world had come to disaster... well, perhaps that had been what lead to his softhearted gesture. Either way, the woman was here now, and she would be his responsibility until she was well enough to send home.

"You lack the strength just yet."

So the residents here were on par with theirs? Then unless an agreement was made she'd have to either harvest only of the wild, or leave, and she felt bad enough harvesting what she had now. She'd assumed it retaken by nature, and Wren shifted, looking to Omega apologetically.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know this realm was occupied, or I wouldn't have intruded. An actual diplomat would be here." Wren sighed, shifting as she considered her options. She'd used an energy bar on a run before, to get home, or she'd have eaten it to get home, so instead she looked to Omega and nodded.

"Once I can walk, I'll be on my way and search elsewhere for things for my world. I didn't mean to intrude and inconvenience. There's no analysis of this world yet."

"Had you come in a few months earlier, I'd dare say you would have found little but a rotting husk of a planet," Omega admitted, shrugging as he moved into proper view and took a seat next to the resting stranger. "Fortunately, we've recovered admirably, and if your world is in need of aid I'm certain the planet's leaders would be willing to part with what resources as would survive in your realm."

... Was he going to admit that he was one of he primary rules of his world? Nope. Strong as he was, caution was always better than folly. He'd hate to have to clean up a mess that could be avoided, after all.

Wren gave a thin chuckle, shaking her head sadly.

"Sounds like us now. I do my part by leaving meals to pure organics, but it makes cognitive function... Ah, impossible at points. If the last few days say much. But if they're willing, I can try to ask? I'm no diplomat, but, we're desperate. I know that. A war... Well. It destroyed a lot. And I want to help."

Especially her family. Everyone globally was thin and tired, and if Wren could help anyone....
PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2017 5:05 pm

"Your world is in a terrible state, then," Omega said - it wasn't a question but rather a statement of fact. "A bridge should not neglect her organic half so thoroughly as you have. It's come very close to killing you." He shook his head and moved closer to her, handing her a datapad.

"If you've the strength, I've compiled some information about this world that you may wish to look over, and certainly take back with you when you're well enough to leave. As for supplies, I assume anything suitable for organic life is the most pressing need?"

He knew it was acting a bit out of line to make such a major decision as offering interdimensional aid without consulting his fellow rulers, but...

Well. Given the genetic analysis of his guest had come back with what it had... he didn't think the stardroids at least would mind him all but pledging official assistance.

"When you get a space colony dropped on you, you get desperate." Wren half-joked, and sighed, accepting the datapad gratefully. The help... Was visibly appreciated, and the small female studied it several moments before looking up, linking in to 'read' as she addressed him.

"I don't suffer if I don't eat as much as my aunt and uncle, they're fully organic. Nic is more organic than I am so he's gotta eat, and so does Flynn. Especially now jhe has a little."

And Rosie... Wren was quiet, reading further several moments as she sighed. At least her daddy wasn't around to suffer - he'd been in enough pain. Little as she'd been losing him, she remembered how delicate he was, but also his eyes so loving, and full of wonder until they closed. It was why she did what she could. She'd promised.

"I just need to down some protain to get moving again. But that'll get me home to share information." Wren motioned, looking to Omega again. "I'm pretty easy to upkeep if I eat for flying missions and then move on foot."

"Ah... that incident." That explained a lot. Omega frowned and shook his head, standing and moving toward the door. "If your world is at all similar to ours, there may be overlaps in identity. Are there any names you can give me that you would feel most comfortable speaking with?"

... though, thinking on it, he might want to have Altair and Draco come speak with her. Certainly Blues, but those two could set her at ease, to know she would not be regarded as a curiosity in this world. And he'd need to inform the Stardroids as soon as possible...

"Talk?" Wren chuckled, grinning. "If thre's overlaps, I must not have one. Emily Wren Wily fears no man." She grinned, winking before pausing. "It's not a trait one can afford, not with my last name or looking after a family, at any rate." Wen shrugged, motioning. "So whomever's convenient and willing."

A Wily? Now that was interesting. Omega sent a communication to the Stardroids - in particular, Terra, then smirked. "Not you in particular, no. But it is good to know that certain families exist in other realms, as well." He sent off another message, this one to Blues to bring anyone he thought would approve of meeting another dimension's Wily family.

For his part, Omega sat next to the bed and sighed. "Self-neglect may be an honorable thing if it's to aid others, but it's hardly admirable. I'm afraid I can't release you until you're in a better physical state - but I can permit you to message your world to receive ambassadors and supplies."

"That... Might be smart.I can contact my uncle and he can talk to what's left of the Hunters. That's who's handling things." Wren noted. "I'm not technically supposed to BE here, so... Guess you can sayI live up to the legacy there."

She shrugged, sending the message and after several moments, winced at the obvious word-thrashing her uncle was giving.

Bluies' reply came at the same time; Altair would do well meeting a Wily, naturally -- Draco was helping train some medical newbies however. Similarly, and with curiousity, he asked why -- but with a why came mention of the Stardroids. They'd an alliance with Wily's grandchildren, was there a guest from another world in need of assessing? Sunstar would need informed immediately regardless. Terra came shortly after, far more demanding. He'd forwarded word to Sunstar, but he was demanding information -- everything Omega had. Albert had flown into hysteric worry at the news from his kin, and Terra dermanded his be informed properly before a personal demand.

Did she know his kin? Was the little bird in the same world as Alex? He needed his kin together.Needed.

"Uncle Tom says he'll pass it on.." Wren finaslly spoke, rubbing her head with a grimace. "I hsad to explain I was hunting gear because Flynn and Sami's baby was in need of food and so were they -- Flynn's my brother.I'm a triplet - and I got scolded, sorry. The Hunters will likely appreciate a, uhm." Wren motioned, thinking. "Civilian diplomat."

A pause, and she stared.

"I'm in well enough shape to provide and fight so long as I get food once and a while, I'll have you know."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2017 6:51 pm

"Well enough is not well," Omega said, and passed a visual to Terra along with what scant information he had. Was this relevant to Terra's kin? Omega thought it might be, given Roll's little daughter and her origins, but he wasn't entirely sure.

"Triplets, hm?" He said instead, choosing not to argue with her over her health; she would understand why she was being made to stay once she was at proper weight again. At Blues' suggestion, he sent a request to Altair for him to come and meet his.... distant maybe-relative. Hopefully his former host-of-sorts wouldn't mind him contacting him for the sake of meeting another bridge.

He took a moment, then to inform Blues of everything he knew, and blinked when he hear footsteps at the door. Well, well, he hadn't expected Zero to arrive that quickly. Apparently curiosity was a powerful lure. A powerful enough one, in fact, that there wasn't even a pause to ask for permission to enter - Altair barged in, and he looked like he'd come straight here from training.

Silly child.

Altair, for his part, was trying very hard to keep his excitement off of his face and out of his voice. "...You're the guest?" He asked, taking in the form tucked into the bed. He knew that he was still recovering, too, but she looked ... well, like he had just a few weeks ago. He hoped her world was in better shape than their own had been until the Stardroids arrived...

Terra's response was to shriek without sending it to Albert. Akbert was not to see this -- Terra sent his the warning she was so ill, with as few details as possible, but the Stardroid was quick to inform him this was very important. The baby was born there for a reason, whatever it was, and soon Terra was flooding Omega's systems Albert's design specifications, and what he'd planned. The baby was so sick, and Terra would come if needed to help supply him for her care.

Wren nodded.

"Two brothers and me. Dad was... Too sick to ever expand the family. Cancer when I was still a youngbuild." She sighed, then perked to Altair. He looked like Zee did, but she took the moment to scan him, head tilting before she beamed. Another bridge? This was a surprise!

"I guess. Omega says so, though I just need the fuel to get back to working. I'm Wren. You?"

No need to be rude to Altair, but she was already sizing up the area. She had a family to provide for and being idle was stressful. Who would care for them with Daddy gone so long?!
PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2017 7:32 pm

Omega assured Terra that the young lady wasn't going to be allowed to leave until her systems were stabilized and she had recovered some of her strength, then fell quiet to watch the two bridges interact. Altair was wary around him, and likely always would be, so he didn't want to stress the still-recovering Zero any more than his presence in the room would by default.

"....You know, if I said that in the state you seem to be in, I'd be called a liar and probably end up locked in my room until I admitted I wasn't okay," Altair said, frowning. Which he wasn't about to admit had actually happened, though not in those precise words, and not even that long ago. "Point is, don't try to fib past the med team here; they're not really fond of leeway."

He shrugged and disengaged his armor, swapping for the civvies of a red sweater and jeans - both of which hung loosely on his frame, though not so badly as they had just a few weeks ago. Eventually, he'd fit into them properly again. But 'eventually' was always a pain to wait for.

"Zero Wily - but if you're from another world, you probably know another Zero, so just call me Altair. Me and Draco - that's our X - came up with those names a few years ago, and they work well enough outside of work."

"Two. Kitty and Zee. They're brothers. Our X is my cousin Alex, and he's dating Zee." Wren admitted, and smiled. "And Alex has a fraternal twin named Sami. My name's Emily Wren Wily, but everyone uses Wren."

She was excited, and then addressed the topic of the med team.

"Did you try to fight them?" Wren asked honestly. "I can't afford to be stuck anywhere. I promised Dad that I'd take care of providing for my family. Dad's named for his grandfather. The Dr. Wily of our place." Wren sighed, looking... Sad.

"I was online 8 months when he died, though. I never knew him well. But it was important to him. He said he had a nightmare and needed me to promise."
