Rules

1. All of Gaia's rules and ToS apply.

5. If you wish to use a mule to participate in Shows or Races you must first PM sheepcakes on the account that owns the snail/slug and tell her your mule's name.
   
6. This is essentially a test version of Shows and Races, stats may change, stat boosts may change, everything may change. If you have feedback please quote sheepcakes in the main shop thread to tell it.
   
7. Snails/Slugs with accessories that give stat boosts do not have to be certed with the accessory. Provide the uncert, and if you are found to be cheating in accessories you will be banned from Shows and Races for 1 month.
   
8. Breaking any rule will ban you from Shows and Races for 1 month. Multiple Show/Race bannings may result in permanent show and race bans, or even a shop ban (especially in the case of editing or deleting posts).
   
9. Stat rolling is to be done in this thread, 1 snail or slug per post. Do not edit or delete posts. Rolls are to be done by the snail or slug owner.
   
10. Shop staff may not participate in a show or race they are running. Shows and races will be posted by the staff member who is running them.
    

How to roll:
1. Post in this thread with the cert of the snail you wish to roll for.
2. Roll 5D10s (five 10 sided dice) for show snails or show slugs.
3. Roll 4D10s (four 10 sided dice) for racer snails or racer slugs.
4. Only 1 post per snail or slug, sheepcakes will come through when there are new posts and record the rolls.
5. Page 2 has example rolls in the first 3 posts, Snail Society Teddy, Snail Society Tommy & Snail Society Tabbitha.

Rules will be added or modified as needed.

Showing

Shows will have 5 statuses that are "judged" (ICly Teddy and Tommy are the judges, but OOCly results are decided via dice rolls). Each stat has a minimum base of 1 and a maximum base of 10, with 1 being the lowest rank and 10 being the highest rank. Base numbers may be altered via boosters, boosters may be in the form of accessory perks, or past win perks.
The art has nothing to do with stats, all stats are decided via dice rolls and perks. They are simply for In Character flavor text to make the shows more interesting.
The stats are: shape, size, color, markings & slime

Accessory perks will give a boost of +1, +2 or +3. You are limited to 3 total accessory perks by default. Accessories that grant perks will grant them to specific stats. It is possible to have an accessory that grants a perk to more than 1 stat. Specific shows may have additional rules regarding accessory perks. Pay close attention to the specific rules of the show you are entering.

Past win perks come from grand prize tokens. If you win 1st place in a show, you get 1 grand prize token. If you turn in a grand prize token for a breeding perk, you cannot use that same token for a Show perk. Turning in 2 grand prize tokens gives a perk of +1 to any single stat of your choice. This is a permanent stat increase that ignores the rules regarding stat perks. However, some shows may have past win stipulations, ie "Can only enter snails that have had less than 2 1st place wins", so be sure your snails and slugs fit any extra criteria for entering.

Each show will have a dice roll that can modify your stats. So if you rolled low on initial stats, you still have a chance to win. If you rolled high, you still may lose. Read the instructions in each show carefully to see how to roll and calculate final stats. This may become a set dice roll/set of dice rolls in the future, right now we are testing things out.

Each show needs a minimum of 5 snails or slugs to enter. There will be a sign up period of a week before the show starts. You must sign up in order to compete in the show.

All of this is applied to official, shop/staff run shows. If owners wish to hold unofficial shows they may do so in the RolePlay subforum. These unofficial shows will grant no perks at this time. If they get popular, then an RP point system will be implemented to turn unofficial shows and other RPies into breeding perks and show stat perks.

Grand Prize Tokens - Races

You may only use your grand prize tokens to boost stats for the snail that won them.
You may only use grand prize tokens as a breeding perk for the snail that won it.
