Illa browsed the clothing section of the market place, she was getting ready to leave Tendaji soon and she felt like she needed to acquire a couple of clothing options that would be better suited for the climate there. She was also going to need a couple bags to carry all of her items, but how much did she really need. Was a cloak necessary? Ila touched the deep blue fabric, she had no idea where to begin and no one to ask that couple help her in a respectable time frame. Grabbing the fabric, Ila held it up and swirled it around her shoulders trying to see if it would make a nice cloak.

Like usual Nadiya was bursting with energy. The perky young Matori woman had already made a name for herself with the people of the city due to her story-telling about Tendaji and her musical abilities. By now she had even received offers from those in the entertainment selection to try out their grand theaters and while the idea fascinated and excited Nadiya the traveling bard brushed off the offers. She simply wasn't ready. But should she ever decide to do such at thing then surely she would need the wardrobe for it! Humming happily under her breath Nadiya twisted through the marketplace and headed straight to the clothing area. Even though she already sported Belrean fashion it never hurt to add to her inventory, right?

Laughing Nadiya had to jump back as a whirl of blue came into her view, "Oh!" Her cheeks flushed the Matori darted to the left side of the young woman who was trying on the piece, "It's a pretty color, but I think something with a hint of green or tan, maybe a teal would bring out your colors more." She commented lightly with a smile.

“Oh?” Ila noticed the woman and quickly folded the item and placed it back with the others. “I was just looking that’s all.” The woman, Matori it looked like, was right of course such a color would not fare well for her. However, Ila did pick up an earthy green piece that was thicker in material. She tugged at it gently, testing the strength of the material. She had been told there were warm places just like there were very cold places in Tendaji, how could she ever find a balance? Glancing at the Matori, Ila noticed she bore the Belrean colors. “I like your shirt,” she said with a smile. “It suits you.”

Nadiya smiled, "That's fine then I just wanted to offer some suggestions. Why are you buying a cloak, is it that cold for you already?" She pursed her lips thoughtfully as she peered around the rest of the pieces. Perhaps she should invest in a cloak as well? Would she get a fancy one with all those swirl designs or a basic color? She truly didn't know the weather patterns of the area just yet, but if the other girl was looking into them then surely something was up! Nadiya's thoughts halted, however, at the sudden compliment, "Really? Thank you!" She flushed lightly as she raised her hands to her cheeks, "I was worried it wouldn't be the best considering, but it's nice to hear that you like it. I'm trying my hardest to blend in , ya know." She chuckled, "Though with my physical appearance I suppose that's not really an easy feat, right?"

“Oh no, no.” Ila waved her hand in the air rapidly. “I’m supposed to be traveling to Tendaji soon and I was told some parts are cold. I’m trying to buy clothing and bags for the journey today.” She was embarrassed to admit she didn’t know where to begin and what to buy. “How are you looking Belrea so far? You must like it so if you are trying to blend in. Not many do.” Some tried, some didn’t bother but it was always nice to see some effort put for them to fit in with the Belrean society.

"Aaah, that makes sense." Nadiya shook her head with a laugh, "Then you'll be wanting something far warmer than that cloak." She pursed her lips as she rummaged through the piles of material, "Do you have anything fur lined? If you land in Sauti then it's a bit nippy, but to go north into the mountains of Zena you'll need furs. It's really bad there especially in a couple of months. If ya travel South then it's a lot warmer and you have the desert and the beaches which I totally recommend for winter traveling. Much easier to get through the rainforest of Jahaur or the Deserts of Oba then. If you got to Zena it would be a shame to freeze to death in a winter storm." Nadiya grinned, "Sorry I suppose I do ramble on and on at times. But please let me know if there's anything I can tell ya to help out. I'm pretty well traveled in my home continent after all." Continent, was a fun word - it was something she had picked up in Belrea as well.

"I love it." Nadiya grinned, "I'm a story collector and boy this place has stories for days. You all have such an interesting culture and I enjoy trying to figure it all out. When I go home I'll definitely attract the crowds with my stories from here~" Her expression shifted into a pout at the other statement, "Do they not wanna blend in? I mean how could they not enjoy your style? I mean look at this skirt..." Here she twisted so that the low-to-high laces swished behind her playfully, "It's wonderful and so cute!'

Freeze to death? Ila blinked slowly, oh no. That could not happen, but she could only wonder at the types of plants and greens that grew there if their winter was this harsh! “Do you recommend I start anywhere in particular than for the journey?” Maybe she’d have a better idea of what she ought to be buying and start there. Beaches sounded nice, but she had to remind herself that she was not on vacation but on a mission. She wanted to bring back specimen for breeding with the plants of Belrea.

“I don’t know really,” Ila chuckled. “I know a Shifter woman who comes with her husband for business once in a while and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her buy any clothing from here. But I’ve seen others with maybe a top or bottom. “

Nadiya furrowed her brow thoughtfully at the question and was silent for a few moments as she simply rubbed some brown material in her fingers, "Where to start....perhaps I would recommend traveling west. If you arrive in the colder season then it would be best to head towards Matori since the climate won't be so harsh. It's mostly the northern regions of Sauti and the mountains of Zena that can become dangerous in winter. Those lands are normally chilly, but winter especially in Zena becomes a struggle - at least for a Southern gal like me who enjoyed warm beaches most of her life that is." The Bard grinned, "I suppose it just depends on what you're looking for is all."

The Matori shrugged, "Sometimes people are proud to show off their heritage, especially merchants. It helps sells their wares. ME, however, I enjoy trying on all sorts of things so new clothing was a must." She grinned teasingly, "And I look pretty darn cute in it so who am I to decline a few new outfits?"

"West it is." Ila would take the advice that was given especially if it came from someone who had lived in Tendaji themselves. "I am working with plants." That's all she was truly willing to share to the girl since she was a complete stranger and well, your research was precious here and she didn't want anyone copying her. Of course, others would do research just like hers but Ila liked to think she had a special hand in it.

"I'm Ila by the way, it's nice to meet you." It would be rude not to introduce herself. "I'd like to stay hidden as well with the others living in Tendaji. How long is winter?"

"Plants, hmm?" Nadiya tossed a chocolate colored cloak with golden and green vines towards the other girl, "Not really my specialty but I hear there's a lot of herbalists in Tale. It's next to Sauti so it would be easy enough to get there once you land." She smiled, "Just don't go into the forests by yourself since the beasts are dangerous there. Never ever go towards howls either since they say the witu can cut a man just by its piercing stare alone. All stories of course but it never hurts to be safe."

Nadiya reached out a hand, "My bad I'm awful at this." She joked lightly, "my name is Nadiya." At the next question the Matori frowned again, "It ranges honestly but at least two to three months and longer in the far north?"

"Oh, herbalists would be a good start." Actually, that was an excellent start. Perhaps she would stay in Sauti for a bit then gathering knowledge, it would be easy to ship it back home as she went for record keeping. She would have to let her family members know that they would receive items from her from overseas.

"No going into the woods alone, check!" That was so scary! Tendaji was a very scary place, maybe she shouldn't be going alone? None of her siblings wanted to come so that was out of the question and her parents already disapproved of the venture. "Are there any other areas I should be avoiding?"

"This cloak is pretty," Ila said as she moved her shoulders a bit to see how it flowed. She grabbed Nadiya's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "That's not bad for winter."

"Then I definitely recommend Tale. It's a good place though some of the villages are in the trees." She smiled as she unravelled some ribbon, "They've got great healers there who are know for their herbal remedies and poultices."

She did grin mischievously at the other girls response, "Definitely don't." Teased Nadiya, "Can't learn about plants if you're too busy running from the witu." At the friendly handshake Nadiya grinned, "well that's the minimum. Honestly it can range but the coldest are those months."

"So do you think a cloak is all you need?"

"Village in the trees?" What could that mean? Was it some sort of turn of phrase maybe? They didn't actually live in the trees, did they? No... That couldn't be true. "I'm going into healing myself but only to help my work." She could make plants work together, or at least that was her goal and she thought healing had been the right route to take for this.

"I'm not really sure what to take, to be honest..." She would take the cloak but as for the rest, maybe a few good shirts and some pants or something. Or maybe she ought not to bring much at all and buy her supplies in Tendaji. "Should I just not bring much and buy most of my items when I get there?" Maybe that ought to be easier.

"Mmhmm. You'll see." Nadiya grinned playfully, "Every country is different and you'll be amazed at what you can find. I'm sure you'll love Jahaur the most." Who couldn't be impressed by the giant trees and the dark area beneath that was lit by glowing fungus and crystals? Truly it was a magical experience.

"I would plan a few outfits and then perhaps buy as needed." Nadiya nodded, "If you aren't going into Zena then the cloak should suffice. Just get things for cooler weather and sturdy shoes."

"Juahar noted." The place was on her list, only because the glow of the plants there would be an interesting idea to bring back home and experiment with. You could do lots with glowing plants, she wondered if they used them as a power source. She'd heard that Tendaji didn't have power like Belrea did, it made her wonder how they lived really without any technologies.

"I'll most definitely take the cloak then. I think I have enough outfits at home that I don't need to buy anything else. Perhaps only just a sturdy bag to travel with and the shoes. I don't have anything that would do well for long periods of traveling." She also needed a bag that would allow for her to travel easily. "I think I will also get a mount once I am there to help with my travels."
