The jaded General was alone tonight, sitting on the edge of a small movie theater, crouching very much like a gargoyle, and watching the world streets below. It was not quite night yet, not prime hunting time for the Negaverse, so there were still quite a few people on the streets. She watched them with distaste, holding her spear in her hands and pondering her next trap.
Senshi were so pathetically easy to predict. One cry for help, one person in need, and they were ready to throw themselves into the fire. It made them fun to draw out, to force them to come to her, but a lot of the time they ended up getting the upper hand.
They thought they were doing good. Making strides. She liked to remind them, every now and then, that it was not as easy as beating one negaverse soldier a night to put a stop to Chaos.
Leaping from the theater, Painite darted across the street, nearly getting run over in the process but moving too quickly. She disappeared down an alley, leaping a fence and reaching the back entrance to a one story building she had been keeping an eye on. It was a small office of some sort, though it had decent enough foot traffic. Now that she was inside, she saw it was an insurance agency of some kind. Just busy enough to give her some bodies, but not enough people to run away and cause a panic. She locked the front door and got to work.
Gathering starseeds and energy was always fun for her. She was deadly at the best of times, but today she was not looking for a body count that lasted. She drained everyone that she could, leaving the office as if a sleeping spell had fallen over it. Every single one of them at the brink of their energy, the rest stolen away by Chaos. It was a very profitable hour or so, the sun now starting to set as she was finishing up.

For the first time in a while, Arseno was out by himself, having no plans to meet with any other Negaverse agents or those who may want to join. He didn't really understand how one could spot the latter or if it tended to be more of a spur of the moment thing.
Either way, he had mostly been hanging around more of the office buildings hoping he could find some easy target. It was... strange. When he was now powered up and looking for victims, it almost seemed to be relaxing to be able to fulfill his duties. Perhaps it was because he had finally come to terms that the Negaverse was what the world needed?
What he did not expect was the aura of another general and they seemed to be quite close. So close, that he barely even saw the blur that moved through traffic. They certainly seem determined to find something. He thought to himself as he decided to follow. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to go and bother a 'fellow' general while they were out doing work, but he coudln't help but be curious.
He had barely caught up when he saw the figure go into what seemed to be an insurance agency. He almost decided to follow, when he figured it was better to just perhaps hang around and meet them when they came back out.
It was about an hour, and he had found a couple of people himself to just steal some energy from, when the other general finally emerged from the agency. He couldn't help but admire the audacity that this general had to just go into an entire office building and get everyone there, but... he had never really thought of it. Then again, he didn't like to leave evidence behind. He watched, hiding out under a dark corner, wondering exactly what he could do to greet the other. He supposed they wouldn't like to be interrupted suddenly...

Painite felt the aura of another Negaverse soldier. She was happy to show off, of course, but she was here for business and if someone was going to watch her then they could just as soon help.
After all, she'd gotten a lot of energy out of this place, but there were still starseeds to pull. And fun to be had. Someone must have gone home for the evening or had the day off: what would they think when they got there the next day and found whatever display Painite opted to leave the bodies in?
It would be hilarious and wonderful, of that she was sure.
"Listen, whoever you are," she said, with a strained sigh, "I know that you are enjoying the show, but how about you come on out and play a little yourself? I like being the center of attention, of course, but I also like to know who my audience is."
Plus, if this person thought they could steal some of her kills or energy, she would be furious. And she would prove them very, very wrong. She was not very good at sharing, except only with her girlfriend. Even then, there were guidelines to follow, just to be safe.

Arseno sighed as he got closer, trying to make sure it didn't seem as though he was ready to jump her. He was somewhat sad that his fellow Generals jumped to such conclusions, but he realized that it was out of necessity, considering what he had seen with his own fellow agents... it was practically a necessity to focus only on oneself. "Arsenopyrite, and it was curiosity that brought me here." He replied to her, once he was close enough. He had already gotten enough energy and starseeds himself, he had no reason to steal.
"I'm a new General. Since I felt the aura of another one and I've met so few... I just followed your aura. Though I didn't mean to intrude. If I'm interrupting you, please feel free to continue. I won't interfere." He never knew how they were going to react. Better to be as innocent as possible.

Painite looked the other General over, grinning as he approached her. He must have done something to prove himself, getting up to General. Even if he was 'new', at least to the rank itself. She was curious about him, as she always was when she encountered others from her 'team'. It was a constant struggle to remember to play nice. Especially recently. But things were... a little crazy, right now. Her eyes flashed as she smiled at him almost warmly, though there was absolutely nothing kind in the expression if one took just a moment too long looking at her. "I think I'd like you to interfere, now that you've stepped up. How about you take some energy, eh? There's some starseeds left, too, though the ones I've gotten to are pretty drained dry. And dead." She laughed, feeling a bit more relaxed than she had in a little while. Murder always brought out the best in her.
