Well, One of the three girls that Henry seemed to have found himself firmly attached to had run off before he'd managed to give her a proper goodbye, but that was alright. He'd talk to her later, or hoped he would anyways. It didn't seem like their "date" had lasted very long. Nor had his "date" with Luka, and he hadn't even gotten paired with Lena, which was a bit of a disappointment. Fortunately for him, he could see their brightly colored ponytails bouncing down the basement hall further along as he came down the stairs. "Luka! Lena!" He seemed extraordinarily pleased to see them, lips splitting into the widest of grins as he jogged to catch up, trainers smacking against the concrete floor loudly. "Hey guys, I didn't know you'd taken off already, I was going to, I mean. I wanted to know if you'd had fun?" Now that he'd caught them, e seemed a little lost, though no less happy to see them.

They'd managed to avoid eating any of the tainted treats provided at the speed dating affair. Luka was grateful, worried about what such a thing might do to her sister, and they'd left pretty quickly in the aftermath of the realization. Her sister didn't get a choice, Luka had shown up and dragged her off.
She hadn't even realized they were being followed until she heard Henry's voice behind them. Stilling, she glanced over her shoulder and offered him a grin. "Hi Henry," she waved at him while waiting for him to catch up.
"It was..." She hesitated, trying to think about how to explain her general experiences. "It was fun, different? A little...the end was surprising and I don't think we got to know anyone really, but that's why it's speed dating right?"

Lena's expression perked up as she heard her name, twisting around about the same time her twin turned. Henry was a good egg - something their mother would have called him, probably, had she been around to meet him. Sweet, thoughtful.. and totally not a cookie tainter type, for sure.
Her nose still wrinkled at the thought that someone would have been dastardly enough to trick party goers with suspicious sweets.
Luka seemed to have answered his question aptly, Lena choosing to shrug her shoulders and gesture towards the other girl.
"It was... it was nice to get to meet folks?" She offered, the tip of her sneaker scuffing against the ground as she swayed a little bit. "I dunno what I was really expecting it to be, I guess. How about you? Did you have fun?"

He came to an almost unsure stop in front of them, teetering on his feet as if he'd only just stopped himself. Which was true. Unlike the twins, Henry had eaten the cuddle laced cookies, and he'd very nearly thrown himself at the girls to gather them into a big hug, because aside from Cami, there was no one else in the island the teen liked more. They'd been his first real friends since he'd arrived, and was still grateful to them for their help with his family m happy, and just generally drawing them into their circle. "I didn't really meet anyone either, aside from Nick, I guess," he said thoughtfully, head tilting slightly to one side. "But that was okay. I mean, I got to hang out with you guys. Well, more or less." He shrugged. "It was okay. I think it would have been fun getting paired with you, too, Lena, but," he wasn't sure what to finish with, so he just left the statement as it was with a small, thoughtful frown. "Did you, um." His feet shuffled, cheeks darkening just a touch. "I mean, what we're you guys gonna do now?". The boy was fully aware that it was a lame question, but he really didn't want to get back to his own room. He didn't want to be alone at all. nuxaz I forgot the twins lived on the first floor, just pretend Henry found them there.

As much as she was comfortable with having Lena at her side as not only her sister, but her best friend too, it was nice to have other people on the island that she felt attached to. Henry was still a very new presence in their lives, but she was grateful for him, just like she was grateful to have Lena at her side undergoing all of this with her.
"There will be more opportunities," Luka assured Henry, reaching for his arm to tug him over. "Time was short." Her shoulders lifted in a shrug and she used her other hand to push up her glasses.
"I was gonna work on a shopping list for when we go back, but we can hang out instead?" She looked over at Lena. "Whatcha say Le?"

Her cheeks flashed a warm pink as Henry seemed to apologize over missing out on a chance to "speed date" with her. Or maybe he was just being nice? Probably. Henry seemed like a nice guy and both the twins could use a nice friend in their lives.
"Y-Yeah, maybe... maybe next time."
One shoe pulled back, the rubber tip of the sneaker skidding against the ground as she quickly looked away. It was easier to keep up conversation when others were talking - she was a better listener, after all. Being up front and center, having someone besides Lulu suggesting wanting to hang with her....
Well, Lena couldn't help but smile a little bit, despite being a little anxious.
She was so caught up in her whirlwind of thoughts that she almost missed what her sister was saying. "Oh... um... yeah! Yeah, I'm good with that."
Pausing, her eyes widened as she quickly added, "Y'know, the hanging out part. Lists can always wait."
