Rayna wondered for the millionth time just how she'd managed to make it to the doors of one of Destiny City's hospitals. At having exited the strange mirror landscape she had been sucked into and powering down into her civilian self it had taken all her stubbornness and determination not to just collapse on the sidewalk in agony. Although she knew she had sustained various bruises it now felt as if maybe something more had been affected than she had known about; or maybe it was because at the time she had been more concerned about her shoulder wound that she just didn't realize how serious some of her other "bruises" had turned out to be.

Speaking of shoulders Rayna could feel that her makeshift attempt at a field bandage had all but disappeared when she powered down. The laceration that was caused by a shard of glass slicing into her right shoulder was once more bleeding freely with nothing to staunch the blood flow. Wincing as her left hand came up to cover the wound was a futile effort. Nothing but attention from trained medical personnel would suffice. As she turned into the parking lot of the hopsital that had been nearest to the point in which she and others had exited Rayna couldn't hold back the groan that escaped her as she stumbled. With growing realization that perhaps she wouldn't make it to the doors she was filled with a rather sudden burst of adrenaline.

Moving still hurt a great deal but if she were to collapse outside and in the bushes would anyone even know that someone was injured? Especially if one was unconscious? No, she had to make it through the doors before collapsing. Only then could one be guaranteed to be seen. The doors loomed so invitingly about twenty metres away and they seemed to mock Rayna with the light that was streaming forth. Biting her tongue at wanting to say a few choice colorful words she moved one foot in front of the other. It jarred her shoulder with every step and yet pride would not let her collapse anywhere but inside. The light from the automatic doors spilled out as if answering one's prayers to find sanctuary within. Perhaps it was because it seemed so inviting that Rayna gasped as a particular violent pain shot through her shoulder before blackness dimmed her vision. Knowing that she needed to get inside before passing out was now tantamount to anything else. Pushing her body to ignore the messages that her brain was receiving from various limbs Rayna shuffled awkwardly towards what would hopefully be her salvation. Although the last hospital she'd been in was anything but. Shaking off that dismal thought had taken the last vestiges of her adrenaline and she shook with the effort to keep going forward. At the soft whoosh of the automatic doors opening before her the teen stepped across the threshold of the hospital just in time for everything in her body to protest against the journey here. Seemingly hitting the floor as one experiences a total blackout was loud enough to get the attention of a passing orderly.

It would be a while before she would return to consciousness.
