It would be two different hairs, and we would allow it! Though we can warn the person who submits second that something similar is in progress, in case they want to change their mind.

We've been focusing on the mobile app so we haven't had a chance to look at the arranger, but we'll make note of this information so when we do take a look again we'll have this to think about.

We did have to phase out spending tiers due to gift card abuse, though we've taken note of the feedback from Gaians who have said they earn through offers!

Hello! Before I begin I would like to apologize for my angry rant and if I sound like a broken record. So at the end of August of last year, I redeem my Gaia Box ticket. I also redeem my Gaia January Birthday Box Presale ticket in December of last year. I was told in an email from you guys that I was supposed to get an Achievement from both of those boxes. Now over a year later I have not received either of those achievements.
This is what they told me on Sept. first this year. "As for the achievement, we’re working with the team to make sure that gets granted out soon as well. We’re waiting for a couple final confirmations on if people want to redeem their box before we issue out the achievements."
I am very upset. This was somethin' that I and other achievement hunters were promised and yet we still don't have them. It's one thing if I didn't spend money on them, but I did as did others. I see people redeemin' their agate tickets to create their own achievement this year get them made and granted to them while I'm still waitin' from last year to get merch achievements granted.

Apologies for the delay on everything, the team has been incredibly busy trying to deal with this and assisting with the subscription problems. We're actually starting to move into the process to make sure everyone gets what they are owed, starting with soulbinding the existing tickets. Sorry the opt out had been on the back burner for a while. As we're short on user preference system flags, I will work on a way to rid of the items easily.

What do you mean a "global ban?" As in not allowed at all? Currently they aren't allowed in the mass majority of cases and we've got a word filter that hits on some of them.
I mean is there an algorithm that would prevent users from hitting submit on posts that have slurs in them. I know it's not feasible to stop every form of human and decency violation on here but it would show that gaia cares about its minorities
Hmm... I don't know if I necessarily like the idea of flat out stopping people from submitting posts, not necessarily because the slurs shouldn't be used, but because that would be an incredible powerful tool that I personally would want to see reserved for something massively detrimental to the site and community (nor do I actually know any sites that actually stops people in such a way).
That being said, I took a look at how we are filtering out the words with our word filter and believe that we could make some improvements there to make it a little more restrictive. For example, some slurs have a different filter level setting than others (this filter list was developed in probably early 2008, so I don't think anyone who created it is still here to speak to why this is), some words/slurs are censored completely (such as "********" will censor to "****" ) whereas others are semi-censored (such as "p***s" which will censor to "p****" ).

We typically just outright don't allow these, but admittedly that is also a very old policy that hasn't been updated for changing times and a changing Gaia, so it's something we'll want to update it.

Question: are you guys working on a fix for the avatar maker (not builder, normal maker)? When you type in a tag, if it has multiple pages you can only access the first one currently, it glitches with any other.

Why hasn't the box ticket achievement been granted out? It's been over a year now. The agitation here is that the primarily reason why a number of us even purchased the box was specifically for the achievement.

For example, some subscribers are not receiving their cash and/or angel item, getting charged multiple times, or even re-subscribed without their permission after canceling. One user was recently charged $300 because of a subscription mistake. That's not a little oopsie, that is downright horrifying and losing that kind of money, even if it's immediately refunded, could potentially ruin someone's life. I've spent a lot of time fixing the backend last week, and all the duplicate charges had been removed, but there are a few more bugs to fix. The rest of the bugs are being worked on as we speak. Sorry the system had a lot more problem than we anticipated.

It's mainly a thing for mobile phones and tablets. It allows everything to load faster and formatted well for smaller screens. SCAS team is testing it right now and it should be out soon!

I think what you're interacting with is a form of CAPTCHA
The box is asking you to choose an item that is shown on the avatar, to prove that you aren't some sort of robot. It does not grant you that item.

Is there a current CEO for Gaia? Who is it? Do we already know hem? Technically, Gaia Interactive's CEO is Bluecow, he handles all accounting and business related stuff. I had always been CTO where I handle all the programming and features related to Gaia. We all work as a team and nobody force decisions on anybody else. There might have been business decisions that were undesired, but usually they're due to revenue and resource, not someone being greedy or mad.

This glitch causes doppelganger entries by not logging entries, takes users gold and Gcash due to these re-entries, and will not allow users to see their vote count. This happens EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I know Runway is not a priority for Gaia, but many, MANY users participate in this daily, and Gaia has ignored this problem since it first appeared.

Best rule of thumb answer is to ignorelist the user. Depending on the context of what's going on, you may want to report it, but I can't say for sure as not every non-moderating "policing" situation may actually be a violation of the rules.
