To that end she was wandering the alleyways hoping to run into one of the Magdalena girls and start a fight, they were always good for that.
However instead of the usual delinquents she found the alleyways empty, she was about give up and trudge her way home when she heard low grow.
At first she thought maybe it was a stray dog but the dark creature was far to big to be a dog more like a large wolf with glowing red eyes. Eyes that seemed to hunger for her.
She only had split second to turn and bolt off running, the monster fast on her heels. ******** my life.

General Painite was agitated. She had been for a while now, not sure how to ease the feeling of longing in her chest. It was as if something had gone missing, as she lay healing in a hospital, unconscious and half dead. She had not even been aware of her stay there, or the injuries that brought her there, until she was fleeing from the whole thing. It was her time in the Rift that had done the real damage, not just the physical injury but the hole in her confidence.
She needed to fill that void. She needed to return to her former glory, and prove to herself, and anyone that might question her power now, that she was just as terrifying and dangerous as ever. Moreso, even.
And hell, the scar she had on the side of her head looked pretty bad a**, so she swept her hair to the side to display it rather than try to hide it. She was missing most of her ear on that side, but she used the shame of that scar to fuel her anger. Her thirst for more power and for revenge on a world that had nothing to do with anything that happened to her, but she hated anyway.
When she saw someone being chased, she grinned. Silly humans and their pathetic fears. She teleported down, appearing a few feet ahead of the girl, directly in her path. She stood there patiently, expecting the fleeing person to run right into her, though there was a little room for her to react to the sudden figure appearing.

Julia caught sight of a metal pole sticking out from a pile of trash. That’ll work. She thought turning around to face the monster now that she had a way to defend herself. Her vision had tunneled so that she hadn’t noticed the woman appear out of nowhere behind her. She held the steel pole like a bat and swung with all of her might when the monster leapt at her. Her pole connected and knocked the monster to the ground. She didn’t give it time to get back up as she slammed the pole down on the monster’s head again and again until stopped moving and turned to dust, which Julia thought was really weird.
As she turned around her heart nearly leapt out of its chest, some woman had snuck up on her. She tried to not let it show as she looked the woman over. She was wearing some sort of military-esk uniform and she had a pretty wicked scar on her head.
She gripped the pole tighter as she held it up at the woman. “You want some too lady?” She challenged.

The Negaverse General watched as the young woman found herself a weapon and managed to beat the youma into dust. Painite had no deep connection with Youma, creating them or using them as her whims needed and rarely much else, so she was not sad to see it go. She was impressed, though, that the woman was brave enough after fighting a monster to turn around and threaten Painite herself.
She smiled, though the expression quickly twisted into a wicked grin. She called her spear to her hand, watching the other girl intently. All of a sudden, Painite had the demeanor of a wild animal, eyes flashing dangerously and without any hesitance of the slightest indication of mercy. She was just as dangerous as any monster.
In fact, in many regards, she was worse.
Animals could not be blamed for their instincts. Even Youma, created for one purpose, no matter how nefarious it was. Painite chose to be wicked, chose to be cruel and evil. She knew better, and laughed in the face of that knowledge.
“Oh, sweetie,” she purred, a laugh curling around her words, “you have no idea. Let’s see what you can do, hm? Pretty little thing, too. Such a waste.”

Julia was breathing a bit heavily from the run and her fight with that monster but she still held up her improvised weapon. The young girl was more than a little surprised when a spear appeared out of nowhere in the woman’s hand, though it wasn’t like that was the only weird thing she had seen tonight and Destiny City did have a lot of weird things going on with it.
The look in the woman’s eyes was dangerous, the eyes of a killer. Still Julia wasn’t going to back down and act like some scared little girl. She wasn’t going to let this woman push her around.
“You asked for it.”She growled as she swung her pole straight for the woman’s head, she would show the woman just what a ‘pretty little thing’ she was.

Painite grinned, watching the girl as she attacked. It was like watching someone moving in slow motion to her, as pathetically weak as unpowered civilians were. Still, it was cute, and Painite opted not to move as the pipe came swinging at her. It made contact with her head, hard enough to make her tilt to the side a bit, but she felt no real pain or damage from it.
She lifted her eyebrows as she watched the girl, smiling as if she just told a funny joke, and was waiting for the punch line to sink in. Except the punchline was as clear as day already, and it was simply the difference between them.
Still, the girl had Painite’s attention.
“My turn.”
Painite turned her spear around, swinging the staff as the girl almost lazily. Still, she was lightning fast and smashed the pole of her spear against the girl’s side. She was aiming not to kill her, but to teach her a very important lesson about picking her fights better. She let the girl go sprawling, standing still for a moment before teleporting just for the impact of it. She loved the faces people made when she suddenly appeared in front of them, and she did so to loom over her new toy menacingly.
Kneeling, she reached out her hand and gently touched Julia’s face.
“I think I like you. It would be a shame to kill you, and waste all that fire, don’t you think?”

The last thing Julia had expected the woman to do was just stand still while she swung the pole at her head. Duck out of the way, maybe try to counter attack, anything but just stand there; was she crazy. Well even if she was she was clearly stronger than any normal person since she barely reacted when the pole connected.
“What the f…” Julia’s eyes widened in shock but before she could react the woman had slammed the spear into her side. Which sent the young blond sprawling against a wall, crumpled over in pain.
“Ugh what are you?” She groaned. She tried to get up but the woman suddenly appeared in front of her. Just who did she pick a fight with. Her eyes widened in shock and curiosity, about the woman’s power.
As the woman touched her face and offered her what sounded like an ultimatum, Julia looked into the dangerous woman’s eye cautiously. “What did you have in mind?”
