Lace was by no means an adventurous kitten. She was more of the type to enjoy a quiet room, surrounded by sweets and snuggled up warmly in the arms of either Jericho (who spoiled her) or Dia (who she needed to visit more) or even Sadalsuud! She hadn't checked in with the dark mirror senshi in so long!
She was shirking in her duties, and was even falling behind her brother, of all cats! Silk...Silk was doing amazing things! With his general and she was well....being pampered...like a princess. So while her comfort level was not being adventurous, the kitten had gone out during the night to find more senshi to help awaken or meet more of the negaverse or even find Bob and learn more from the maine coon.
What she had not expected was to find herself in mirrorspace. The only times she was able to come here was when Mintaka carried her through, and the only reason she knew it was the place was because of the grey faded rooms and mirrors.
"H...Hello???" The kitten called out, climbing up on to what looked like a long counter, her ears flicking back and forth. "Is...Is anyone there?"

A burst of color appeared from just around what seemed to be a corner; Adria had been stuck in this strange room for minutes, or hours, or—he really didn’t know, he had no idea how much time had passed. He looked hopeful when he heard the voice but he faltered when he realized it came from a tiny kitten.
Faltered, because he didn’t care what energy signature she had; his heart immediately throbbed with a great need to scoop her up and pet her.
But, Mauvians were a respectable alien race, and he had to remind himself that you couldn’t just go around scooping up kittens and giving them big squeezes, no matter how badly you wanted to. It wasn’t appropriate even if you were trapped in some strange room with bright white walls and no doors.
He kept his distance, as least to try and give her a bit of her own personal space.
“I’m here,” he replied after a second. “But I’ve only been here for a little while.” He glanced at the wall behind her, trying to find some flaw in it, some weakness that was secretly the way back out to Destiny City. “How did you get in here? Or—no,” he looked embarrassed and added quickly, “I’m sorry for being rude, I just don’t really know how I got stuck in here, or how to get out, and I’d really like to go home. My name is Adria.”

A burst of color was what Adria was in the duller grey's and even Lace was most pleased by the purples and reds and oranges of his uniform. Though his aura was strictly order, and it sort of bugged the kitten.
But it was also a senshi of order, and she had to be careful, because Bob said those kind of senshi would try...try to hurt her or make her...do something she didn't want too!
She backed up a little bit, carefully treading the counter she was on. "Y..You're here!" She didn't have a clue who he was. "I...I don't kno...know how we got in here though!" She squeaked a small meow out, laying down, with her ears flattened. "Thi...This is Mirrorspace!" She added.
"Bob...Bob told me that I can...can't trust senshi like you...." She curled into a small ball, "A..Are you going to hurt me?"

Adria blinked and blurted an inelegant, “Huh?”
It took him a good few seconds to process what she had actually said and he looked a mixture of surprised and hurt that she had drawn that conclusion about Order Senshi. He didn’t know who Bob was, or why he would want to scare a kitten like that, but maybe there were Order Senshi out there that wanted to hurt anyone who worked with Chaos.
Adria, though. He couldn’t imagine hurting anything that small and cute.
He held up both hands as if he meant no harm and replied, “No, I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want to hurt anyone. I promise. I like Mauvians, all Mauvians.”
He moved slowly and kept his distance, trying very hard to also keep his voice gentle and soft but still loud enough for her to hear. “I don’t know if I know what Mirrorspace is, though. You—have you been here before?”

Lace was wary, but he seemed so genuine so maybe Bob meant to look out for the SCARY looking senshi! This one didn't seem TOO bad!
She relaxed a bit and crawled a little closer to him, even as he moved closer to her. To be honest, she wouldn't mind a small comforting pat on the head, and the poor thing looked like he needed one too.
"O..Okay! I'll t...trust you! So remember! Please...please don't hurt me!" The kitten added, and then sat up a little more. It was her job as a guardian cat (even if he was order and she was chaos) to make sure...that all senshi were informed right?
"I..I have!" She nodded, "With...With a mirror senshi! The dark mirrors!" She paused, "Bu...but normally you have to be with one...to be here! And...and holding on to them." she distinctly remember Mintaka saying the kitten couldn't veer to far away from the eternal because Mirrorspace would kick them out. "Th..this looks a lot like...mirrorspace but...but its not working right?" She frowned, "It doesn't...feel right!"
She stopped, "I'm..I'm Lace! Nice to meet...you!"

Adria remained with his hands up, but he carefully sat down on the ground so he could be a little closer to the small kitten. “It’s nice to meet you, too, Lace. I just…”
He glanced around the room and breathed a long sigh as he planted his hands on his knees. “I wish that we could have met maybe in somewhere that didn’t feel so weird.”
His eyes found the kitten after a few seconds of examining the room. “I don’t know if I’ve ever met a Mirror Senshi. What do they look like? Are they bad?”
Or—well, was that an inappropriate question to ask a Chaos cat? Especially if she probably thought he was bad. He tried to quickly correct, “I mean, what are they like? Are they scary? This place seems kind of scary. I don’t like that there aren’t any doors or windows.”
It sort of looked like the walls were closing in a little, too, but…
He had to draw in a sharp breath and focus his attention on her so he could ignore the tricks he was certain his mind was just playing on him.
Adria tried to smile at Lace, but it didn’t seem like he was feeling very confident about it.

Lace couldn't agree more with the senshi, so she hopped from the counter and came over to him. Since he was sitting, that meant he wouldn't lunge at her and he seemed as uncomfortable and scared as she was! She was use to well...more confident captains and her brother.
It was nice to meet someone who she could kind of relate too! Even if he was an order senshi. As he spoke though, she gently placed a paw on his knee, looking up at him from the fluffed collar around her neck.
"They aren't bad!" She cocked her head, "M..Mintaka is really nice! She likes to carry me and show me things, and...and I helped awaken one! Her name was Sadalsuud! She was pre..pretty! She called me Miss!" Lace nodded, because apparently the way to distinguish good people were the ones that didn't yell at her or call her mean names like Silk did. Another paw came up on his knee and she looked up to him with a bit of a worried expression.
"A..Are you okay?" She asked, "Do..Do you feel okay?" The kitten herself was a mess, but she thought it was something that came with her...just being herself. "We...We could try to find..find a door?" She tried to encourage, "I..I don't know how well I can help but...but I will try my best!"

Adria’s brows remained knit but he managed another smile, a real smile—how could he not, when her face was so cute? And she was touching his knee…
And she was worried about him, and all he wanted to do was scoop her up and squeeze her.
“I’m okay,” he promised, but it wasn’t really the truth. He wasn’t a very good liar and felt too guilty to leave it on that note, so he added, “I don’t think I ever realized how much I don’t like rooms without doors. It’s sort of my first time in one. I was in the hospital for a while, not so long ago, and after a while it sort of felt like the walls were closing in. These walls are really white, like the hospital, so I think maybe that’s what I keep thinking about. But it’s fine—if you say the Dark Mirror Senshi aren’t bad, and that Mirrorspace is theirs, maybe there’s just been an accident? Maybe someone will come get us out, soon.”
A quick glance around the room seemed to yield no evidence that there were any doors, and truthfully he wasn’t sure his legs were going to support him if he tried to stand up. Anxiety was bubbling in his stomach and he just wanted to drown it out before he made a fool of himself.
“Um. Actually though, if you wanted to help, do you think I could…”
His hand twitched, but he strained not to pet her. At least, not without permission.
“Do you think I could pet you a little bit? You’re just so small and cute, and I don’t mean to insult you, but it’s really hard not to pet you when you look so soft and sweet.”

Ah, he was cute when he smiled and that made Lace feel better! At least, she hoped she was making him feel a bit better too!
"I..I can't understand that fear though..." Lace frowned as much as a kitten could, "I feel safe....when its dark and small..." Because she was use to hiding that way, where there was nothing but herself. She started to knead gently at his knees though, "But..But we'll get you out! You won't have to stay!" Thats all she could offer to the poor young senshi, as she understood that he was at least unhappy and disturbed by the place.
Normally Mirrorspace wouldn't bother her much, but this all felt wrong and it didn't feel like the quiet lonesome place that Mintaka often described it as.
"I will help the best I can!" She studied his hand as it came up. "O...Oh!" She thought about it and then nodded, "Sera likes to do that too! He does it when he wants too, I don't mind it!" She kneaded a bit more before jumping up into his lap and raising her small kitten arms up for him. She had heard and done this many times. "You...You want a hug right?"

Adria could have swooned. He should have begged his parents for a cat while he was fresh out of the hospital and bedridden; he would have recovered twice as fast just so he could get out of bed to play with them.
“Yes,” he said quietly, and with great emphasis.
He didn’t care who she was aligned with; anything that cute was too precious to worry about.
She would have been the perfect assassin.
But, he couldn’t even consider that; as soon as she was up, he leaned forward and drew her closer, letting her rest her paws on his shoulder as he pressed his cheek to her fur. He ran his hand down her back, carefully smoothing down her fur.
“Have you been…awakened?” he paused, not sure if that was the right term, but continued, “For long? I don’t know how Mauvians work so I’m sorry if that’s a rude question.”
She was just so nice; he couldn’t imagine her having been around bloodthirsty murderers for long and still seem this innocent.

Small paws rested on his shoulders as he hugged her, she made sure to make the small vibrating purr sound that so many humans like to hear. It was a low quiet one, but he'd hear it none the less.
"I...I heard hugs help!" She nodded, pressing her nose to the small part of neck behind his ear. "They he..help calm down! And...and they are nice." She had to agree though, all the hugs she had ever gotten were nice and comforting and she really enjoyed that.
"A..awakened is a good term!" She had to think about it though, how long had she been aware she was a Mauvian. To her, it felt like forever. "I..I think so? I don't...know much about us either. I've only met a few others...mostly on..on the order side! You're side. And...and some are not very nice to ones like me." She let that settle before adding, "I remember it hurt but then we had a queen and she told us to look for senshi. Cause..Cause I have a twin, and he's a good senshi hunter!" Even if Silk was the worst brother, he was also the best brother.
"We...We haven't been for long in human..human years I think though?"

Adria’s lips pursed. “They aren’t nice to you?” he asked, admittedly a little disappointed that Mauvians would be mean to each other regardless of whatever side they were on. It probably wasn’t so different between how the humans fighting on both sides treated each other, but Adria knew he was biased by how cute the Mauvians could be. He just wanted them to all e perfect and precious with little hearts of gold.
So far, Lace seemed to be exactly that, and her soft little purring was evidence enough of that, even outside of the hug she was working so hard to give him.
“You have a twin?” he asked, seeming impressed. “That’s so neat! I have a brother, but he’s not my twin. He’s just my older brother. He and I haven’t always got along, but something happened not so long ago and now we’re getting along better. He used to try and pick on me but now he’s got a girlfriend and he’s all busy with being a Knight, so we get along. He’s really strong.”
At least, as a General of the Negaverse he had been really strong.
Old injuries, long healed, suddenly throbbed at the memory and Adria couldn’t suppress the shudder at the memory of his last fight with his brother.
“I don’t like fighting, though. Sometimes I don’t know if I’m a very good Senshi. But I want to be, so I can keep the people I care about safe. What about you?” he asked, stroking down her back again. “Do you awaken Senshi so they can help keep the people they care about safe?”
