 Restrictions on BreedingThe only restrictions on Al-Siq breeding are usually due to societal pressures, overall there are very few ooc restrictions on Al-Siq breeding. Below you'll find a brief rundown of some of the common breeding expectations among the Al-Siq, as well as the very small numbers of currently forbidden relationships. Noble Breeding (IC Expectations)
Traditionally speaking, Nobles are expected to marry rather than fling. This is to keep their blood pure and to ensure there are no b*****d offspring. Always remember that in noble lines, their are particular sects of society that consider purity of blood to be very important.
Flings are regarded as 'cheap', and Nobles often imply this is a 'civilian' behaviour. Those nobles who do fling will often keep things very quiet, and those who get caught may find it difficult to escape the gossip!
Civilian Breeding (IC Expectations)
Civilians may choose to marry or fling without fear of persecution or gossip, however be aware that those who might have aspirations of reaching noble ranks may wish to be more careful about who they lie with. A noble is less likely to marry an 'easy' Al-Siq civilian than their more respectable nature!
Hybrid Breeding (IC Expectations)
The Al-Siq have no issue with Hybrid breeding, though the Nobles may be less inclined towards such romances due to the fact they will find it very difficult to produce heirs.
Phantom Breeding (OOC Requirements)
Due to the lower population levels, phantoms are expected to marry to avoid inbreeding. They are also not allowed to enter polygamous relationships due to the potential risk of bottlenecking their genetic lines.
Please note that phantoms are only allowed to breed with one another at this time. The Phantoms do not mix with those outside of their own kind. Requirements to BreedIn order to breed, an Al-Siq needs to meet the following requirements!
They must feature on the user-maintained ownerlist.
The SoA they want to breed with has the necessary permissions form their pride if necessary.
The relevant form needs to be posted.
Approval will be given after a quick check that these requirements are met.
