If there was one thing that brought Julian joy, among the hundreds of other things that made him smile every single day, was the cellphone Delilah had given him. It had many protections and restrictions - for his own safety - but he was allowed to text and call and send pictures to a select group of trusted contacts. The Council members and Evan were all listed as trusted contacts. Julian liked to send them happy faces and pictures of beautiful things he saw that day. Sita was the unfortunate recipient of several blurry pictures of a cupcake Julian had made an hour earlier. Chocolate with chocolate frosting and a metallic paper wrapping, sprinkles crowning the entire creation. Sita may not have been able to tell, based on the picture of the cupcake seemingly traveling at 90 miles per hour. The cupcake was either transcending this timeline and traveling into the next universe, or Julian couldn't hold the phone still enough to take a decent picture. Quote: sitaaaaa i love you this is julian look i made a cupcake what do you think?? blaugh

Sita had just gotten out of her classes for the day and was on her daily walk home, when the text came in. She blinked as she looked down at what seemed to be a very blurry picture. She chuckled to herself at the caption that followed Well, if nothing else he had learned to text, and that was a comfort to say the least. She took a moment at the next stoplight to reply, her fingers darting over the keys, simply remembering where they were rather than having to hunt and peck. Quote: Hey Julian, It's Sita. I cannot really see the picture all that well, but I am certain it is delicious. Are you having a good day? Has anyone come to check on you yet? She knew that they were all taking turns with the young man. He would need to get adjusted to the world slowly, and each of the members of the council had their own special way of dealing with him. To Sita, he was a little brother. One that needed to be protected and cared for with gentle hands. She was the tender one, the one that would give him all the love and tenderness that he needed, and she would never hold that back. She had helped save him, she would continue to do so daily.

Oh, oops. Was the picture blurry? Hmm... Julian squinted at the cellphone's screen and gently touched the icon labeled Pictures. It obediently displayed the last pictures Julian had taken with the phone and, not surprisingly, most of them were messes of blurs and almost unidentifiable. Well, that wouldn't do. He needed to hold the camera properly if he was going to send better pictures. Quote: i am sorry about the picture i will do better soon!!! i am having a good day today i cleaned the bathroom for delilah and she was very happy about that she is at the store right now she said we will make pasta tonight it sounds yummy! delilah says she feels better about me being here by myself i haven't fallen down today so that is very good! would you like some cupcakes? not blurry cupcakes??

She had just made it home when the second text buzzed in her pocket. She setting her book bag down near the kitchen table and grabbing one of the many fresh baked cookies from the counter. Leave it to her mother to have made cookies in the morning after classes had started. "Mom?!" She glanced around the house, looking to see if her mother had come home from work early. Not seeing her, Sita shrugged and fell onto the couch with her phone. She smiled to herself at how sweet the young man was, she quickly sending him a message back. She wasn't sure why, but she had a feeling that, if she took too long, he might worry. Quote: I am glad to hear that things are going well for you. Keep it up! I know you will do great! If you want some company, I can head over once I finish a shower. Give me an hour and I will be there. Hopefully I can catch a buss and it will be faster than the walk. She set the phone down and quickly made to taking her shower. She loved the water, and it would be hard for her to hurry. But is Julian needed company, she would make the sacrifice.

Another batch of six cupcakes were in the oven while Julian waited for Sita to arrive. He hoped she liked chocolate, but this particular batch was vanilla. He couldn't keep making the same cupcakes over and over. Julian had to keep making progress if he wanted to move forward, and cupcakes were delicious progress. Quote: i have some new cupcakes baking and i hope you like vanilla but if don't that's okay because there are some chocolates ones too! i have sprinkles because delilah says sprinkles make everything better so one of the cupcakes has your tiara on it because you're super cool sita you're the best! see you soon!!

it took her some time before she was out of the shower. Her hair pulled up in a braided bun at the back of her head. She quickly got dressed in something other than her uniform and darted out the door. It was rude to keep people waiting. She knew it would be a long walk to Delilah's but in the end it was worth it. It was one of the thing that kept her thin, after all. Well, that and fighting youma, but that fact alone was upsetting given the friend she was going to meet. Julian was a good boy. a sweet and gentle creature, and the fact that he had been a youma...well...it was a fact that upset Sita to no end. How many other sweet and innocent people had they killed with each youma death they had brought? Was her conscience clean after all of this? She tightened her fists and clenched her jaw. No...she would not dwell on it. She had not known then. None of them had. That was the past and it could not change. From here on she would protect Julian and ask far more questions before she dusted a youma. Once she was at the steps to Delilah's apartment, she buzzed the buzzer. She hoped that Julian had been taught how to use it.

The fresh chocolate cupcakes were cooling on the rack and Julian was busy beaming at the accomplished mission. It was then that the buzzer sounded - Delilah had explained that this buzzer let them know someone was waiting for them. If the buzzer sounded, someone was at the door. Without too much thought, the young man toddled to the door and fumbled with the lock. It took a few moments, and he was rather certain it was Sita (as they hadn't been expecting anyone else), so there was no need to look through the peephole. Once the door was opening, Sita was indeed standing there. It was so good to see her. "H-hello, Big Sis Sita. How are you? Please come in~ Delilah is out shopping right now, but she'll be back soon, probably. Are you hungry, Sita? I can make you some lunch!" The joy radiating from him was tangible, for Julian was simply so elated to be alive. Seeing Sita was frosting on the already-amazing cake. "We're still practicing pasta, but I can make sandwiches! Would you like a sandwich, Sita~?"
