Physical Description: Rakhem is tall and slender, but muscular. He keeps his reddish brown hair long and wears it loose. He keeps a small goatee on his chin. He prefers loose clothing in neutral colors, but his prized possession is a dark red coat with silver buttons and toggles.
Personality: Rakhem is much more used to being on his own. Living in a Weyr and having to deal with other people on a daily basis wears him out every day. He keeps to himself, preferring the company of Oolath to most people. At night, he sleeps outside with Oolath when he can and on rainy nights when he must retreat to his weyr his sleep is fitful. He doesn't speak often, and when he does it's in a softer tone. Most others find him odd, especially given his love of tea and dislike of klah. He is a Grade A Procrastinator and often waits until the last minute to do things he's been assigned to do. Or, really, anything. He's moody and can often swing between extremes. Most of the time the swings are internal and not everyone realizes there's even been a change in him. Oolath always knows. He is easily discouraged and disappointed. It doesn't take much to completely ruin his day, though Oolath has been working on this with him.

History: Rakhem was born and raised at Western Weyr. He'd always had an eye for what things were worth and would always be pestering the traders when they came to visit. He made friends with the leader of one group and she let him tag along when they left for other places. It was during his travels with the traders that he was introduced to tea. He made it his goal to learn all he could about the leaves and the delicious drink they made. One turn when he was nineteen, they came back to Western close to Hatching time. Rakhem was in the stands watching when it happened. My name is Oolath, and you are Mine! His life was forever changed, and for the better. They stayed at the Weyr for a few turns, but they wanted to explore. He took up an occupation as a lone tea trader and worked his way up until he was known for his blends. The pair were at High Reaches when Thread returned. Rakhem wanted to flee to safety when the menace had stopped falling, but Oolath put her rather large foot down. She wanted this to be the next part in their adventure, and eventually Rakhem gave in to her desire to stay. Used to the more lax practices at Western and being on his own with his dragon, the strictness of High Reaches often grates on Rakhem but he sucks it up.
Other: Prefers tea to klah! Refuses to shorten his name. Causes some contention with other riders.

Physical Description: Oolath is medium all over. She is an average sized dragon with the personality of a gold.
Personality: Oolath loves love. All kinds of love. She enjoys flirting with everyone she meets, and views it almost as a game. She wants to know how others will respond to her flirting. Will they blush? Will they smile but politely ignore it? Will they flirt back? It's delightful to this dragon! She enjoys taking flight, loving to be the center of such attention. She has no problems choosing more than one winner, as long as all involved are amenable. She is highly protective of her rider and their new home. When they were younger, she loved their adventures but now every day in a Weyr is an adventure! She finds smaller things to stick her snout into and views each new relationship as a step in their journey. But she is also a busybody. She wants to know everything and doesn't mind imposing herself in situations to learn whatever is going on. She enjoys gossiping with others, seeing how everyone else reacts to what may or may not be going on in the Weyr. Oolath loves to indulge in her personal pleasures, whether it's soaking in a lake or rolling around in sand or enjoying physical affection of any kind with her rider or another dragon. Her very favorite thing to indulge in is getting her hide oiled in something that smells pleasant.
