“I really should start heading home.” Harmonia mused aloud before stretching her body upwards, arms above her head and sighing contently. She had spent a large chunk of the evening on homework and had almost not even bothered to head out for patrol, but it was a normal night for her to patrol so she force herself out. Plus, there had been an odd amount of people going missing. There was no real reason being said on the news, and she hadn’t heard anything at school but Harmonia had a feeling the NEgaverse may be behind it some way. So, she wanted to stay on her toes. But, ny this point it was getting late, and she’d be lucky if she got four hours of sleep before her alarm would be screaming at her to wake up for school.
She groaned thinking about the blaring sound of her alarm. Maybe she’d need to change it to something else. If she remembered to.
Hurrying home Harmonia hopped down from the rooftops and continued on foot from there. She was less likely to be seen at that level and she was getting close enough to her usual powering down location. As per normal, she kept her eyes peeled as she traversed the extremely familiar streets. A few shops were set up amongst the houses; a coffee shop, jewelry store, a few knick knacky stores, clothing store, a furniture store and a small bakery. She tended to look into the windows of each one as she passed, especially the jewelry store.
As she passed the clothing store movement caught her attention from the corner of her eye. She stopped and spun, ready to attack whomever or whatever it was, to find herself staring at….herself. “I am an idiot.” She laughed to herself as she relaxed. The store in particular had only just been taken over recently and the new owners had decided to take it upon themselves to put up two full length mirrors outside of their main entrance. It was new, sure, but not so new that she should have scared herself with them.
No sooner had she relaxed though did she feel the tug. In mere seconds she felt herself pulled towards and into the mirror which rippled upon her entrance. It was like stepping into, what she would assume would be like, a magical portal. One minute she was standing on the streets of DC and the next she was in a room surrounded in mirrors, all reflecting her own image back at her.
“What the…” She frantically looked for an exit, but found every wall was as solid as the next.
“No, no, no! What is going on?” She huffed, eyes darting around hoping to maybe find that one little hint of a door or a trigger leading to an exit.

The only plans that Hopeite had for the night was her cutest, comfiest, most adorable set of sunflower boyshorts and matching tank top, a stiff drink, and Shahs of Sunset with Amanda. Amanda loved Shahs of Sunset. Amanda loved everything. Especially treats. Maybe Hopeite would even splurge and pop out to get hazelnut chocolate chip gelato from the corner store near her house. After all, her pockets rattled with stolen starseeds and her quota was more than filled for the evening. She deserved a break and a reward. It wasn't often she was a good little soldier. She smiled to herself in anticipation as she wandered the backstreets on her way home. To her left, someone had discarded an old full length mirror. Hopeite paused to admire herself. She had always been a slender gal, but since she had found her power, she had gotten lean. Muscles were beginning to show themselves along her thighs, calves, and arms. Her chest was fuller from the building of her pectoral muscles. Her face seemed more defined with her exertion. Hopeite's smile turned smug as she adjusted the bow in her hair and the cuffs of her uniform. Yes. This alter ego suited her very well. And then she was somewhere else. It took Hopeite several dizzying moments to realize what had gone on, like when she accidentally slept through her alarm and went from dead asleep to wide awake in microseconds. Her hand found cool glass as she steadied herself, certain that she was about to pass out from the sudden misplacement. Was this a white moon trick? As Hopeite's vision returned to her, she doubted that this was something as simple as the White Moon. All around her were mirrors, and not just full length mirrors like the one she'd been looking at before. No. This was line a fun house. The walls were the mirrors themselves, and Hopeite felt the all too familiar tug of energy being drawn from her. "No... no no no no no no no NO." It was like no was the only word that Hopeite knew. That and various other curse words that fell from her mouth. She began pressing on the mirrors, hoping, maybe, that they were not real somehow, and she could pass through them. Pressing turned into slapping. Slapping turned into hitting. Soon Hopeite was screaming and kicking at the walls, trying to break through but failing. She was so wrapped up in her own rage that she didn't notice her prison mate.

Having been along long enough to grow use to the silence that prevailed within the mirror room, Harmonia nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard a female’s voice yelling almost the same exact that the Harmonia herself had said when she arrived. Though the older woman’s voice, familiar to the senshi, was certainly filled with more vehemence.
Spinning on a heel, Harmonia turned to find the familiar voice belonged to an equally familiar Lieutenant. Instantly the Eternal felt a bit of relief wash over her. No longer was she alone in this weird, and obviously weird place, but she was with someone she actually knew. Luck must have been on her side with that bit. After all, there were far too many other agents she could have been tossed in here with.
Though, if her friendly Lieutenant looked as upset about all of this as she was, if not more so with how she was beating on the walls, maybe the negaverse wasn’t behind it?
“You’re only going to make yourself tired doing that.” Harmonia said as she watched the woman curiously. She’d never seen the agents temper like this before and was quite intrigued, if a bit taken back. “I couldn’t find any doors or any other exits either.” The bluenette said calmly, trying to ease her roommates more erratic behavior and hoping to calm her down. Though, if Harmonia was truthful, she was growing more anxious about the situation by the minute.
“I am going to assume you don’t know what this place is?”

Hopeite whirled at the voice behind her. She was cornered, wildly angry, and visibly shaken. She bore her teeth like a frightened animal. For a blindingly furious moment, Hopeite was certain that whomever had spoken to her was responsible for her entrapment. Her body was tense, coiled like a spring, and ready to attack. Her vision narrowed so tightly that it took a moment for the tunnel vision to clear from her eyes before she really saw who was standing in the room with her. But Harmonia wasn't capable for that sort of thing. Even if this was a White Moon trap, Harmonia wouldn't have any part in it. Say whatever Hopetie did about the girl -- she was one of the few who were inherently good. She took a few deep, shaky breaths, and forced herself to calm down. It wouldn't do to lose herself with Harmonia... all of her work would have been undone. It took a moment of obvious effort, but she finally ritualistically smoothed her uniform and fixed her hair. "If this is a negaverse trick," she mused, giving the wall before her one last good kick, "no one told me." Though with all the enemies she'd made, it wouldn't surprise her if she had been left out of the loop on purpose. The Negaverse didn't respond well to loose cannons like her. "Whatever. You've got me here now. Once thing I can say about the negaverse... we have some neat tricks." Hopeite had never really tried teleporting before, but she'd seen other agents do it. How hard could it really be? She waved her hand with a sly smile and turned to leave. "You might want to follow," she tossed over her shoulder as she walked towards what was supposed to be the portal out but ended up being... a wall. Hopeite bounced off with a resounding thud. Her face contorted with a mixture of confusion and humiliation as she glanced over her shoulder at Harmonia. Had she seen? Hopeite waved her hand again and waited. And waited. And waited. She waved her hand a third time. Still nothing. Her scowl returned, deeper and darker than before. She couldn't teleport out. There was... truly... no escape... Hopeite could feel her temper flashing back to life, shaking with the effort to keep it in check. What did she do now? She found answers. "What were you doing when you got trapped here," she asked suddenly, her voice perhaps a little sharper than necessary.

For a moment, Hopeite looked like a wild, trapped animal as she stared Harmonia down. Thankfully, the rage and wild look slowly diminished as the agent seemed to realize that Harmonia wasn’t an enemy. Note to self: Don’t startle her. Ever. It was obvious that when Hopeite got angry she was probably quite a force to reckon with.
“Well...since I would like to think that the negaverse wouldn’t put their own agents in cells for no apparent reason…” She shrugged.
And then a sliver of hope arrived. Agents could teleport! Harmonia was ready to bound after Hopeite when the thud of the woman hitting the wall made Harmonia put the brakes on. The teen stood staring for a moment before a snicker escaped her. Quickly she tried to cover it up with a hand, but the mirth was still apparent in her eyes. It didn’t matter who you were, watching someone else smack into a wall was amusing, especially when said person was obviously alright. Seeing that Hopeite bounced back with nothing more than surprise, startlement, and a flared temper, Harmonia assumed she was physically fine.
As Hopeite turned back on Harmonia, the Eternal felt her merriment begin to fade. “I was actually standing outside of a shop. I got startled by a mirror that I passed, cause it was a newer addition to the store front and next thing I knew I was here.”
Chewing gently on a lip she sighed and crossed her arms. “What could be causing this? I mean, has there ever been anything that was able to stop an agent from teleporting like that?” Harmonia was as curious for answers as was Hopeite. Perhaps between the two of them they could crack the problem.

The sound of Harmonia's giggling almost made Hopeite whirl around and start swinging. Almost. It took another wave of visible effort to maintain control of herself. She had to focus. This was about getting out in one peice AND not blowing her cover. Hopefully the younger girl would chalk the strange behavior up to the situation and nothing else. Instead of her temper and Harmonia's laughter, Hopeite focused on what was being said. A mirror? Hopeite had been admiring herself in one before she had magically been transported here as well. Was there some kind of connection? Hopeite had never heard about mirrors being magical, but then again Hopeite knew better than to rule anything out. She tightened her lips into a thin line as she considered first Harmonia and then the walls around her. They were white, almost blindingly so. Other than than... nondescript. It wasn't a warehouse where Hopeite would expect hostages to be held. It seemed almost... clinical. It was overly bright despite the absence of lights, as well. So where... or what... was this place? Hopeite returned her gaze to Harmonia and sighed, visibly deflating. Even if the mirrors that they had both been in front of when all this happened was to blame, it wasn't much of a lead. She cursed again and began pacing the circumference of the room, feeling the walls with her fingers for literally any leads as to how to get out of here. "I've never not been able to teleport," she lied seamlessly. "And if it is a new kind of enemy, then we should spend some time strategizing how to deal with it. There is no reason to suspect that this isn't a holding cell for something worse. Against all odds... we seem to have ended up on the same side."

Seeing the anger and frustration leave Hopeite made Harmonia feel both bad that she had laughed but also a bit fearful. What kind of situation were they in? Was Hopeite starting to think they were seriously in trouble? In some ways, despite Hopeite being less powerful than herself, Harmonia looked up to the woman. Whether it was because Hopeite was older, the way she seemed to carry herself, or just that Harmonia was finding herself trusting the woman more and more each time they met she wasn’t sure. But, seeing Hopeite deflate a bit was unnerving.
“I would say we’re hardly enemies at this point. It’s not like we’ve ever really been on opposite sides.” She smiled. “At least not in a sense that we’ve felt the need to fight each other. I think that goes for somethin.”
“But, anyway, how do you strategize for an enemy you know nothing about and can’t see?” She questioned. “Not that I don’t want to.” She quickly amended. “I am just not sure what we can plan for besides maybe deciding how we might attack someone if they come in after us.”
Then a lightbulb moment. “OH!” She reached around to her side, not far from where he wings attached to her fuku that she pulled out her senshi phone. The screen flared to life at the touch of her fingers and she felt of excitement. “I hadn’t even thought of this.” She remarked as she waited for the device to full turn on. Within a minute or two she was looking at her home screen with a wide smile. Unfortunately, as she thumbed at apps the device just completely stopped responding. She couldn’t even get it to open the dialing portion of the phone.
Heaving a sigh her face fell a bit. “Well, I should have figured that.” It certainly wasn’t the first time their phones hadn’t worked. “So we have no way to contact anyone outside of here either?” She looked at Hopeite hoping that maybe she had another trick up her sleeve, but at this point Harmonia wasn’t getting hopeful.

Hopeite had to turn away to hide the disgust from her face. Under normal circumstances, she would have taken Harmonia's embarrassingly easily in stride with a smile and maybe something flirty, but she just didn't have the patience. Instead she took out her rage on the wall before her, slamming her fist into its surface with the sickening sound of something breaking under the force of the strike. For a moment, she thought that she'd broken through, but the seerching pain in her hand soon after disproved that fact. There was another litany of curses as she rubbed the pain from her hand and took her pacing back up. Harmonia was right, of course. How did they try to defend themselves against an enemy that they didn't know? When Harmonia pulled out her cellphone, Hopeite suddenly remembered her own communication device. She pulled it out of her uniform with her good hand and clicked it open. Maybe someone was close enough that she could communicate with them. She poked through her applications with her mangled hand to try and find something... anything... that would work. Nothing. Apps would start up and then fail Contacts didn't even show up. When she tried to call out, the whole tablet closed down. Even her camera app looking like someone had stuck tape over the lens. She threw it away in another fit of mindless rage. She froze as something small fell from her pocket with the soft, clear sound of a glassware shattering on the floor.

Harmonia jumped when Hopeite slammed her fist into the wall. At the sound of something possibly breaking the senshi immediately began to worry that Hopeite had really hurt herself. She moved close to the older woman, intending to take a look when Hopeite seemed to brush the obvious pain away to look at what the senshi could only assume was a communication device. “Same thing, I guess.” She murmured as she watched Hopeite try and flick through apps and whatever else was available to her.
Another fit of rage overtook her roommate and in the venting of frustration, more than just the communication device went skittering across the floor. OF course, it was the tinkle of a stone and not the sound of technology hitting the floor that caught the Eternal’s attention.
Green eyes quickly found the glittering star seed as it skittered across the floor. Not taking a moment to hesitate she hurried over to it and scooped it up, cradling the seed with all the care it deserved. “I am....I am not going to ask why you have this.” She said softly, her eyes not leaving the seed. “But I had hoped you wouldn’t be one of those agents who carry these around with her like some sort of prize.” A little well of anger was blossoming within Harmonia, as her eyes lifted to Hopeite’s. It almost felt like a punch to the gut.
Why did I think she’d be so different from other agents? Hopeite certainly has things she has to do for them.. But Harmonia couldn’t squash down that part of her that had truly thought that Hopeite was different.
But...If she doesn’t do what she’s suppose to she might get into serious trouble. Would they hurt her? Harmonia had no clue, but that little realization somehow helped calm the fire in her. “Please tell me there’s a good reason this was in your pocket just now.” Her voice was more pleading than anything else, but a hint of that anger peaked through in her desperation for an answer.
Because, no matter how you looked at this, Hopeite was walking around with someone’s life in her pocket.

Well that was just ******** it. Honestly, in the heat of her panic and rage, Hopeite had forgotten about the supply of starseeds jingling around in her pockets. She had gotten careless. And now the proof of her weeks and weeks and months of lies rested comfortably in the palm of Harmonia's hand. Hopeite tucked her clearly broken hand to her chest and stopped her rounds of the small room that had become their cell. She considered Harmonia for a long moment as she circled, face dark and waiting. Waiting for the right words. Her first instinct was to drop all pretense and show Harmonia her true colors but then... all of that work would have been for nothing. She could end all of this right now and take Harmonia's seed from her too. What sweet irony to use that soul to heal her injured hand. But that would only satiate her in the mean time. Who else would she play with long term? No one else seemed quite as fun... When she finally spoke it was with calm, deliberate words. "We don't have the magic of a planet to heal us," she growled, eyes never leaving Harmonia as she circled like a vulture. "We have only our natural bodies and... those." She nodded to the seed in Harmonia's hand. "It's easy, really. Anyone could do it. Even you, if you tried. Like finding a light... and switching it off. As easy as blinking." With her uninjured hand, she reached into her pocket and pulled out the store of half a dozen other shards, glittering in all colors in the palm of her hand. "That's the easiest thing to believe princess. Eliminate the grey." The shards fell through her fingers, leaving a trail of broken glass behind her as she paced, a melody of bells harmonizing with the sharp clicking of her heels. "You know I could have taken yours," she offered offhandedly, casting her eyes to the floor and summoning her most pitiful sounding voice. "You are a child, princess. Even with your magic, it runs out, and I am a patient woman. Never mind that I haven't." Her voice got quieter at the end of her statement. She let the silence stretch between them, brushing the seeds out of her path with her toe as she paced and paced and paced. "You want a good reason," she suddenly asked, voice shrill with barely contained anger as she fell into her character. "Fine. Because I have to. Because when other people like you see me they don't give a s**t that I'm only trying to stay alive." The words came to her lips as easy as if they were her own true feelings. "They don't care that I either collect or I am collected. And those hospital bills tend to pile up, princess." She took a shaky breath as she willed moisture to her eyes. "They heal me when your kind breaks me. That's the good <********> reason."

If there was ever a moment that Harmonia felt like maybe, just maybe, she had made a wrong judgement call on someone it was the moment she felt like a trapped, lonely gazelle being stalked by a determined lioness. Hopeite was that lioness. Around and around she went, scattering the lives of who knew how many people at her feet. The seeds glimmering and chiming upon impact and Harmonia visibly wincing, afraid to see one of those boots land just right on one of those seeds. There was still hope that maybe those lives could be saved, but if there was damage...well…
Still, even in her fear, uncertainty and outright horror she heard every word that her mirrorspace roommate was saying. Every hateful, hurtful word.
Harmonia was ready to buy it all. Every last bit that Hopeite was saying. She was going to chuck everything she had thought out the metaphorical window.
And there there was pain in the voice. Pain that spoke deeper than what Hopeite was showing her. It was right there. Just as the Lieutenant said. Hopeite hadn’t asked for any of this. She’d been forced into service, much like Harmonia herself, but unlike Harmonia, Hopeite didn’t really have much free will. At least, not in a sense that the teen understood it. There was one thing with the negaverse she was well aware of, you either joined them and did their bidding or you were their enemy. Plain and simple.
But there was grey. So much grey. Hopeite was one of those grey spots among the gradient of black and white.
Taking a deep breath, Harmonia closed her eyes her hand closed around the starseed with care. “I don’t want to see you hurt.” She said carefully with a shaky breath. “I don’t want to see anyone hurt.”
Opening her eyes again she looked at Hopeite with determination. “I can understand wanting to survive. We all want to. If we didn’t there wouldn’t be this crazy war going on, but that doesn’t mean innocents need to be dragged into it.” First one step, then another. Soon enough she was standing right in front of the older woman her head tilted slightly downward as she met eyes with the shorter woman.
“You aren’t alone though. I would gladly try and help you. I know others who would help you. Get you out so you aren’t some sort of collectible for a faction that doesn’t seem to really care about you. If they did they wouldn’t expect you to fumble around on your own.”
Reaching out, Harmonia took the woman’s uninjured hand and gingerly placed the starseed in it. “I know you’re better than them though. Choose to be better. I’ll help you. Support you, and if you want, I’ll find the right people who can make a big difference.” At this point Harmonia was just spewing whatever came to her mind but she meant every word. Survival could force people to do awful things and if it was true, if Hopeite really didn’t like what she did but did it out of necessity, well….it wasn’t good, but it made her less horrible than the ones who did it out of pleasure and greed.
Standing this close to a woman who had just admitted she could have easily stolen your own starseed was a scary thing. And, it wasn’t like that possibility wasn’t evere there it just became more blaringly so. But, Harmonia felt the risk was worth it. Felt the gamble was going to be in her favor.
There was just something there in Hopeite’s voice that told her the woman wanted an out but maybe wasn’t realizing it yet. Or was afraid of it.

Hopeite had long ago understood that Harmonia was a selflessly good person. One of the few who truly was so. But that still didn't stop the look of shock that came over her face as the young woman simply accepted Hopeite's case as fact without question. Harmonia would see it as shock over her forgiveness, but what it really showed was shock over how pervasive Harmonia's naivete truly ran. How much could Hopeite get away with? She narrowed her eyes as she considered Harmonia, mouth hanging slightly slack in her surprise. Was that all it took? Just a weepy story and a sad voice? How did that even happen? Had she never been hurt before? Has anyone ever betrayed her? Has anyone ever frowned at this girl before Hopeite sashayed on the scene? She looked down as Harmonia pressed the small jewel into her hand and came back to her senses. She closed her mouth and cast her eyes away. Fall back into your character. Fall back into martydom. As Harmonia spoke, Hopeite kept her eyes averted until Harmonia's last statement when she scoffed. "What like a back door out of this hell? Yeah right. This is my fate until someone decides that I've been of enough use and kills me. They know my civilian identity, I can't even hide from them there. This is it, Harmonia. This is all that there is." This was all she wanted. The character fit her like a glove, and she loved it. Harmonia curling contentedly around her finger. The power surging through her body thickened by chaos and her lust for... violence. but if helping in someway endeared her further to Harmonia than so be it. What could she do anyway? Change sides?

The shock that overtook Hopeite’s face was heartbreaking. It was like the woman had never been forgiven for mistakes. Weren’t they all human on this Earth? No matter what, they were all born here and so no one had any right to say they lived a perfect life free from any bad choices. People needed to learn to be more forgiving and open to other people’s problems because no one knows what it is like. No one. Had Harmonia made mistakes in her past, she was sure of it. Could she remember them all? Well that was a touchy subject considering her lost memories but she had no doubt that she made bad choices and had been forgiven for them in some capacity.
As Hopeite recovered and scoffed at the mention of an escape Harmonia shook her head. “There is a way out, but you have to want it. Switch to Order.” She smiled at the woman. “We can help you purify and make a new life free from whatever it is the Negaverse is holding over your head. No one will make you power up if you don’t want to. We aren’t going to throw you out like some...some garbage.”
Not really thinking about it, and with their already close proximity, it took little thought for the teen to step forward and wrap her arms around the Lieutenant. It was an attempt at a comforting hug, at least to the senshi she thought it was. “I swear I’ll help you if that’s what you want.” She said over the woman’s shoulder before pulling back and out of the hug. “You’re a friend after all!” She grinned and winked. “Not that I wouldn’t help you out if you were a random stranger too.”
“But please, don’t ever feel alone. I mean, if I am not too annoying or anything we can set up a meet up once a week or something! Then you have someone you can talk to who isn’t going to go running to your higher ups.”

Purification? Hopeite parrotted the word with wonder clear in her voice. Just when she thought that she had a crystal clear image of the picture of her plan in her mind, it became impossibly sharper. Her lips spread into a smile and she had to try to keep it soft and sweet. In truth, Hopeite had been looking for some time for a way to keep Harmonia interested while she played with her. There was only so much interest a tortured villain could hold, after all. This new concept... purification... offered her that foothold. A project was always exciting, after all, and Hopeite could become Harmonia's new thing while Hopeite schemed and plotted. It made that slimy twisted thing in her stomach writhe with glee. "I don't think," he began slowly, "that the White Moon would take me. Not after everything that I've done..." She was cut off suddenly by the force of something wrapping around her. Hopeite went rigor mortis stiff with the sensation, her mind reeling to catch up with what had happened. Lucky with Harmonia's current position she couldn't see the look of confusion melting quickly into disgust on the older woman's face. She recovered from it before Harmonia released her, even managing a tear or two to her eye beforehand. She hastily wiped them away and offered another small smile. "It doesn't look like we're getting out of here anytime soon," she mused, changing the subject suddenly. "Maybe we should rest." She left out the part where the area was slowly draining at least her. She had no way of knowing if it was also draining Harmonia. The effects were barely noticeable, but Hopeite knew them well enough. She slid down the wall nearest to her and gathered the starseeds that had been dropped around her, tucking them back into her pockets. "What should we do with them?"

The teenager tried her best to soothe the woman, and, as she pulled back, she noted the the tears that had managed to build in Hopeite’s eyes. It broke her heart even more! Harmonia wanted to help in the worst of ways and she knew she could only do so much. “Of course they’d want you! What you’ve done is out of necessity and if you really want to purify they won’t deny you that. It proves you want to change your ways.”
At Hopeite’s change in conversation, she noted that, though the Lieutenant hadn’t accepted the chance to meet up, she hadn’t outright refused it either. That gave the senshi some hope. Perhaps Hopeite would want to get to know the senshi more and seriously contemplate purification. With how the agent described the Negaverse, Harmonia wasn’t sure why the woman would want to stay unless it was purely out of fear.
Shifting to glance around their cell she nodded and sighed. “I won’t lie. I am getting tired.” It was late . How late she had no idea. For all she knew it was morning already and her parents may have noted her missing. What a mess this will be. I’ll be grounded for weeks if there’s not a good story to back me up. Harmonia hated lying to her parents but there wasn’t much more she could do about it. She needed to keep her identity secret and it also saved them from worrying too much.
The thing was, she was pretty certain there was more to her tiredness than just the hour. A steady, almost imperceptible drain on her energy was occurring. She opened her mouth to mention it when Hopeite mentioned to starseeds. Turning her back to the wall, Harmonia followed suit and plopped down on the floor next to her roommate. “Well, for now we can’t do much while we’re trapped here. We can hold onto them though. Keep them safe.” She smiled at Hopeite encouragingly. She knew the woman’s hand was hurting, but Hopeite had yet to consume one of the seeds. “Perhaps we can find some of their homes.”
