The Student Lounge is the lobby of the Student Dormitories, allowing a stress-free environment to relax and enjoy company with friends. It has a spacious lounge area, facing the windows, as well as a game station with arcade games and a billiard table. Students may also take advantage of the kitchenette, which houses 3 double fridges for students to use as well as a small oven, microwave, and two toasters. There is ample cabinetry to allow students to store their groceries should they choose to keep them out of their rooms.

Kimberly-Anne had woken from her nap and made her way into the Student Lounge. She was currently sitting in the couch area, watching students walk into the Dorms through the large, tinted windows. In her hands was a hot cup of tea. It was a black tea with flavorings and milk which tasted like a liquid pancake. As she slowly came to a state of alertness, her fingers tapped the ceramic mug.
Tink. Tink. Tink.
She was lost in her thoughts, contemplating what her studies would be like. She was curious to know if she would make any friends, but she also assumed she would push people away in favor of her studies. She'd done it before in High School, and although she wanted to change, it would be hard to do.
Having finished setting up his room and resting in his bed for a bit Jace decided to head to the student lounge since he had passed by and it seemed rather interesting. He walked in and looked around at the various areas. There were students in each talking to friends they already or had or new ones they just made. Some making their own meals and others just lounging about. He walked around aimlessly wondering if he should people watch or play a game though he did wonder if he would meet the guy from before. He soon saw a shooting game and decided to play that. He was sure if the blood eyed boy came around he would sense him again.

Kimmy looked around her, blinking the sleep away slowly. As her eyes scanned the room, she noticed a boy with white hair and glasses looking around aimlessly. She raised a brow to the extent of tattoos and waved at him, hoping to draw him over. As someone with an extensive amount of tattoos across her body, she wanted to know what works of art he had done, if he was willing to talk to her. With so few students having ink on their skin, seeing another student with tattoos was interesting to her.

Kolya had made his way back to his dormitory, his body obstructed from the sheer amount of things he was carrying. After dropping his new bedding off in his room, he decided it would be ideal to have a snack from the vending machines in the Student Lounge. Making his way back into the area, where there were only a handful of students, he saw the boy from earlier being flagged down by a girl. He made his way over to see what they might be talking about.
Ebony skipped into the Student Lounge from the cafeteria, a drink from Orange Julius in hand. Her silver hair, curled and framing her face like an angel, bobbed while she moved. She saw very few students in the Lounge, but there was a group collecting by the couches. The vibrancy she gave off was almost addictive, like a siren call. She merely smiled and waved brightly, not disturbing them. She made her way to the arcade section to play pinball by herself. The sounds of the machine and the flickering lights brought a smile to her face.

Axel was hiding in a corner of the Lounge, watching students pass by outside and a few students meeting at the other couches nearby him. He was currently tuning his electric guitar, headphones in as to not disturb the others. When a sudden newcomer, a silver-haired fraulein appeared, he was almost hypnotised by her. It was more in a way that he couldn't focus on anyone else, she captured the attention of the room. She was certainly a bundle of energy! He shook his head and went back to tuning his guitar in peace.
Just as Jace began to walk towards the game he noticed a girl covered in tattoos waving at him. He did a quick look around and behind him to make sure she meant him before he waved back and walked towards her. He wasnt used to people wanting to talk to him. "Hello" he said then felt that connection from before and turned to see the boy from earlier coming towards them. He smiled at him and waved at him then looked to the girl who had waved him over. "Ah my name is Jace" he said introducing himself to the both of them, his british accent coming though. He found it interesting that he found others that were similar to him. He had never had anything like this before.
Are we going for a legitimate relationship between these two or just a strong bromance? Because their careers are almost perfectly linked, since they are in the same field, but I'd be up for either option at this point.

"Kimberly-Anne. So, you're a Brit, huh?" she stated, her Australian accent soft to the ears, yet still noticeable. She patted the couch she was sitting on, indicating that the two could sit down. Once the red-eyed boy introduced himself as Kolya, Kimmy felt she could start a conversation about tattoos. "I see that you have tattoos, Jace. It's wuite an extensive collection you have," she said as she brushed her hand across her skin and her own ink. "But, you, Kolya, you're lacking in ink. Scared of a needle?" she stated in an obviously teasing tone.
She was unsure if she would offend either boy with that statement, so she quickly changed subjects in a hope to keep things smooth. "What classes are you both doing? I'm majoring in Creative Writing, with minors in Media and Communication, Journalism, Film/Television/& Screen, and Criminology," she concluded.

"Kolya Innokenty, pleasure to meet you both," he stated warmly.
With encouragement from Kimberly-Anne, he sat down on the couch and listened to what she had to say. Tattoos was something that had simply never crossed his mind. That wasn't to say he wasn't up for one, or that he thought tattoos would hinder his chances at a dream job, but it just wasn't something he considered. "If I found a design I liked, maybe I'd get one. Haven't been bothered really," he said with a light shrug. He hadn't been offended by the Australian girl's statement in the slightest, but he could sense her restlessness. When she mentioned her last class, he raised a brow.
"I have Criminology as a minor as well, and it's my last class too. I'm majoring in Forensic Science. My other minors are Behavioral Science, Fitness, and Addiction Therapy," he replied.
Jace smiles and nodded. "That I am m'lady." He said and looked to Kolya when he introduced himself. "Pleasure to meet the both of you he said taking a seat on the couch with them. "You have quite the collection yourself he said admiring the work that was done. It's incredible" he told her then looked to Kolya . "You might find one at some point. It takes a while for some people or you could always design one" he said then listened as they spoke of their majors. He had to admit he got a little excited that they had things in common. "Woah. I'm also a forensics major. I'm minoring in nursing, psychology, and criminology" he said. He was interested in their abilities as well but wasn't sure if that was something you ask someone or not. Where he lived not everyone had an ability. Though he knew that here everyone did since it was a school specifically for people like them.
1) I reckon we start with a bromance, and if we both feel things are a little more we can always change course accordingly. 2) What would Jace's weekend class be? I have some options in the Extra-Curricular page. 3) Given that Kolya and Kimberly both have 4 minors and Jace only has 3, he can choose the "last" time to do Criminology if he wants to be in the same class as them. Just a head's up.

Kimmy was beyond excited that things were going very well. She was worried that she'd upset either Jace or Kolya and didn't want to risk ruining what could be a good friendship on the first day. She was happy that Kolya wasn't the type of person to dislike those with tattoos and was up for the idea. "I know some Art majors that could always take ideas of yours and draw them up," she offered. "So, we're all doing Criminology? That's awesome, even if I'm taking it more so for an addition to my writing style," she admitted sheepishly.
Considering that it was Sunday, and Orientation Week was starting officially tomorrow, Kimmy wondered if she'd see the boys in the same extra-curricular class as her on the weekend. She'd already stopped by the Library and signed up for the Book Club. "What extra-curricular are you two taking?" she questioned.

Kolya grinned widely when Jace mentioned he was doing Forensic Science as a major as well. He also let himself chuckle at Kimberly-Anne's response to the three of them doing Criminology as their last minor of the day. He noticed that when Kimberly-Anne got excited, every sound in the room became amplified. He raised a brow and pondered for a moment "What's your ability?" he asked out loud. "I have blood manipulation and....uh....necromancy," he stated with a guilty tone. Most people fled instantly when he spoke those words.
He was surprised when Kimberly-Anne mentioned she was capable of Sound Manipulation and all it's affiliated powers, from sound amplification to levitation via sound to sonic blasts via screaming. It was impressive to say the least. What was more impressive to Kolya was that she seemed interested in his powers and how they worked rather than wanting to run. He was certainly interested to see what Jace had to say.
Jace nodded when Jimmy said that art majors could help him design his tattoo.yeah looks like we are he said since they all were doing criminology. "No idea. I'm stuck between Archery, fencing, and Krav Maga" he said honestly. Jace noticed the change in sound and wondered if it was his ears but then Kimmy explained it was her power. "That's really cool. I had never met anyone with either of your powers" he told them finding it interesting. "What are the affiliated powers for your abilities Kolya? Oh and my ability is Darkness Manipulation" he told them. He found their abilities to be very impressive. He found his more dangerous and dark then anything. He hoped he didn't scare them away with his own ability. He also didn't want to risk ruining this new found friendship.

Kimberly nodded as Jace explained the ideas he had for his extra-curricular. She wasn't surprised when he stated he wanted something more sport based. To be honest, she'd have rather had a friend in Book Club, but neither had an interest in writing so it defeated the point. She listened intently when Kolya explained his ability and everything related to it.
"Sound Manipulation is so much more than just sonic screams and blasts like everyone assumes. As far as I know, I have; echolocation, empathy and lie detection, superhuman hearing, sound absorption, sound amplification, sleep inducement via singing, persuasion, and sonokinetic flight. With lie detection, I can determine all that by listening to someone's heartbeat. I just have an affinity for empathy," she admitted.
When Kolya asked about dream careers, she smiled. "I want to be an Author" she stated. It was something she'd dreamed about since she was a young teenager. She'd already finished two stories, nearly a third, but they needed work in editing. It was why she was at the school, to learn the skills necessary to publish, as well as hone her powers.

Kolya was slightly taken a-back when Jace not only said he had darkness manipulation, but asked for what powers went with his own. Kolya rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness. Now for the test of seeing which one of them would run first. "I can summon spirits, telepathically communicate with spirits, I can...uh...understand how someone died by just touching them or sometimes just being in close proximity to the body, I can temporarily reanimate the dead but not as zombies more so just a 5 minute 'have an extra life' thing, I'm immune to poison and psychic powers, and I can manipulate nightmares," he stated.
To his surprise, neither one moved, merely blinking as he explained. Kimberly-Anne explained her powers and he was surprised that so many things could relate to sound manipulation. "What careers are you guys looking for? I want to get into being a Homicide Detective," he admitted. He felt more comfortable in opening up to them now that they seemed more accepting of him and his darkness.
Jace's eyes were wide in amazement hearing both of them elaborate on their powers. He found both of them amazing but found himself intrigued more by Kolya's abilities. "Yours will definitely come in handy with your career and that definitely explains why I felt this connection when I saw you at the dorms earlier" Jace pointed out. "My powers allow me to control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create constructs and weapons, teleport massive distances via shadows, Fear Inducement , and mental manipulation" he said explaining his own abilities. "I would love to read something you've written. I have tons of books" he said smiling. He really did enjoy reading a lot having struggled to decide what books to bring and leave behind. "I want to be a Forensic Investigator" he said. He was glad to have met Kimberly-Anne and Kolya. They were both amazing so far. He could see himself spending a lot of time with them.

"So you'll be at a crime scene, but not at the same time for the same reason. A Forensic Investigator, or Crime Scene Investigator, as media likes to put it, examines the body and collects samples that might lead to a perpetrator being found or looking into how a body might have perished. Homicide Detectives look at the scene itself for clues and use police skills to hunt down and arrest the culprit," Kimberly-Anne mentioned in a matter-of-fact tone. When she noticed Kolya staring, she went red in the face. "I watch a lot of Homicide Hunter back home," she sheepishly squeaked.
She was a little intimidated by both of the boy's powers, not for the darker nature of them both, but the mental and nightmare manipulation. They were ones that no one wanted as an enemy for sure, but she was fortunate enough to think they would make best friends. Even if they would only see one another in Criminology class, as a group, or Forensic Science for the boys.

"We'll be in the same field then. Same department?" Kolya said. When Kimberly-Anne corrected him, he was actually pleasantly surprised with her knowledge of the justice system to understand the difference between their professions. When she mentioned the television show she watched, he laughed. It was a show he liked, and something he watched frequently as well.
"Why don't we head to the cafeteria to get something to eat? I'm starving," he stated as his stomach loudly rumbled.
"Not the same department but we will work together in a way since it takes the evidence that forensic investigators discover that will help prove whether a suspect is the actual killer or give some better leads" he said having watched the show too. Hearing Kolya talk about food his own stomach growled. He rubbed the back of his neck laughing at himself. "Food sounds amazing. I haven't had anything since I left england so with travel time and everything I would say about 24 hours...I don't like airline food" he said then shut up realizing he was rambling a bit. "Sorry" he said. He got a bit excited having friends to talk to.
"Food sounds like an awesome idea. Let me just go to my Dorm and put my mug and book away. Back in a tick," Kimberly-Anne said as she got up and left the Student Lounge. She opened her door with her key, attached to her lanyard, and put her things on her desk. She flicked the lamp off and shut the door, locking it behind her. She rushed quickly back to the boys, finding them waiting by the main door.
"Let's go on an adventure!" she chirped, her feet floating off the ground even though she thought she was running. By the time she noticed, she was already outside the main door and let out a sheepish laugh.

Kolya was glad the others were up for food, because he was starving. As Kimberly-Anne left to return her things to her Dorm, he remained in the room with Jace. "Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day for sure. I wonder how Mister Torvald will teach the Forensic Science class," he stated. Kolya felt happy to have already met his teacher, knowing that he was a rather laid-back kind of educator who would value quality of work over quantity.
By the time Kimberly came back, he was standing with Jace by the open door. He blinked rapidly when she all but flew out the door. She had said she could fly using sound, but he didn't think it was legitimate. Now he realized it was. "Off on an adventure," he repeated to Kimberly to make her feel better.
