Cordoba was somewhat glad Kestrel didn't have a club job that night. She felt slightly bad trying to work out some issues repairing her Wonder, and while Xifeng knew just what to do, very little made sense to Kes. Her intelligence simply wasn't electrical or mathematical -- it was musical and likely, spacial. Still, she tried - mostly her ancestor's patience. Coming home to Earth, the fact trying to solve problems kepty her from her mother and brotyher made her mother and aunt's partner in turn rather displeased, and so, she had tyo spend time looking for an assistant to help her artrange her schedule. And not a damn applicant so far was a powered member of Order. So, when she had the time to escape to doing her 'night job', she snapped it up and was out on patrol, looking fior trouble, or at least some newbies to Order4 to pull away from something stupid. Stupid she was learning more and more of, if her suspicions about her would-be 'male role model' were the sort she suspected -- they all just seemed so seedy she wondered just what he did for work.

But for now, the page was merely walking to patrol, enjoying the cool, the moderate quiet of a late night walk when most were inside and not out, and the peace. To be fair, her mind was far from the world of auras -- tonight she was considering multiple things -- from how to restore traces on her wonder to another smoke test of the lighting, to if she needed to find her own hiring pool of assistants on Order's side to shut Hui Jun up, to... So many things and all far from auras or patrol, so when she noticed the air seemed a bit... Too quiet, the thought struck her like a large truck, and the page blinked, looking up from thinking of next week's scheduling and other things to blink.

"Well s**t. What am Iwalking into this time...?"

Hydra was hoping that patrolling this time would yield better results than before. Tussling with that white and purple wearing girl with hair that almost rivaled hers - and the chick wasn't even magically haired! - had left her a little shaky but she knew she had a job to do.

There were moonies to beat and energy to collect.

Busy, busy, busy, Hydra aimed to be.

Plus, patrolling with a goal had her distracted from the fact that time kept ticking forward, further and further away from the last time she had seen Seal's Eye. Despite all of her efforts, her heart still ached and she thought about him far too often. Even now, he was creeping up in his thoughts in the most painful of manners. Luckily the flare of an order aura gave her something to focus on and she started to run towards it, into the center of the pulse in hopes that she'd find the owner.

Cordoba didn't notice the chaos aura at first. She didn't think of it until after a few minutes, wherein she noticed it-- because someone was running right for her, and with a stronger aura to bood. The page blinked, and breifly held up her disc, eyes going big in alarm as she yelp[ed, holding it up defensively. Oh, she could fight. Sort of. Well enough. But did it saeem wise? Only if she had to, and moderately decently... Except right now she wanted the company of a stronger friendly, instead squeaking.

"U....Uhm....." Cordoba blinked. "Can I help you?"

It wasn't a senshi which meant that it was probably a knight. Or whatever the heck the not senshi were. She didn't have that much exposure to the opposing factions that weren't senshi. Besides, Obsidian wasn't much of a talker or information giver.

He seemed to leave that in Angelite's hands more often than not.

Most of the time it didn't bother her but it would, really, be nice to be a little more informed without having to figure out everything on her own. What was it with generals that didn't seem to care that much about being really active(outside of kicking her butt in training?) participants in her attempts to learn and be useful to the cause.

Maybe it was the irritation or maybe it was her frustration and grief but Hydra didn't even respond. She just attacked.

wave hits in my next post~

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Hydra Wave

Similar to Hydra Strike, she spreads her arms open and there is rumbling beneath her and a wave begins to build before her this time reaching an upwards of 10ft. When she releases the wave there is an increased pressure/force when it slams down on her opponent. The force should be enough to knock them back if not off their feet - if they are knocked off their feet the pressure should hold them down until their next post. It takes approximately 30 seconds for the wave to reach full height.

Once again, if someone is with in 7ft of her they will feel the rumbling, if hit, the person feels as though they drenched in water for at least two minutes, and the attack does not discriminate between ally or foe.

Usage: 2
Mechanics: Hydra summons the wave in one post, attacks in the next. She can be interrupted in the middle of summoning and either the wave fails completely or is released with less potency.

Wellcrap, this one was not a talker. Alrighht.

Although Cordoba didn't fight often, nor actually have formal training in any martiual arts, she did know her disc's weight and how to use it well enough. Even then, however, it wasn't a guarentee to work and Cordoba didn't know if the crazy senshi would dodge.

Truthfully, the only time she had seen senshi like this had been trying to get the hell out of Negaspace. Was this a prisoner?.. Wait no.

That senshi moved, and the ground was rumbling? Damn. Magic. Why. Why was she unable to countrr magic. Cordoba internally swore and braced, legs spreading into a more open, combative stance before instead of thinking, she did what she did best/worst. She acted impulsively, anbd hurtled the disc as a discus at the senshi, beginning to try to keep moving. It wasn't easy, though-- the rumble in the ground was basically making balance alone hard, and the page was strongly unamused.

Hydra was used to the rumbling beneath her feet as magic constructed a wave that rose and rose and rose. This was stronger than the waves she had learned with but was the same concept. Pebbles around her lifted off the ground from the sheer force of the rumbles.

Her wave hadn't reached full height, it had been a foot or two off when she saw the disc thrown her way. She shoved what was made of the wave forward reactively before she flung her arms up to protect her face from the disc.

Water surged forward, not nearly as powerful as it could have been and Hydra stumbled backward when the disc smacked her in the arms. Long turquoise strands wrapped around her legs as she moved back, only to slip and nearly fall into the ground.

Hopefully she was back on her feet before the page got around her wave.

Hi sorry my cold beat my butt down a few days so I was being particularly choosy on brainpower.

A hit! Cordoba mentally did a jig in her mind before noticing the senshi's magic had prematurely peaked, and... Said weapon caused it to flow toward her rapidly, and the page was knocked off her feet. Sputtering, she resummoned her weapon, climbing back to her feet making some noises similar to an indignant wet cat as she spat salty water out. She was decidedly not 100%, and the page shook her head once, long black ponytail and neon blue bangs snapping to flick water as the page seemed to snarl.

"Oh heyell no.," She growled, and lunged, hoping to bring in some hand to hand punching or kicking... Something. But first, she had to CATCH the stronger senshi.

Hydra was back on her feet for all of thirty seconds before the page was throwing herself at her. Yeah, no, she wasn't having any of that.

A foot drew her backward and her arms came up to block any punches thrown her away. Jade eyes narrowed while she weighed her options. This was just a page and she was starting to (but not quite) be able to hold her own against Obsidian...

She could handle this.

The point of all of her brutal training was so that she could handle herself on the battlefield with or without magic. So, she let Cordoba get closer, raising a knee and spartan kicking out.

Oh, God, it was going to be one of those days. Cordoba thought she had a good rythym....

And then no, no she was kicked and knocked flat on her back in a rather painful manner. Well alright this was getting quite obnoxious -- sure, the energy signature was stronger for this nut, but...

Well, no, no buts. Cordoba was outpowered, and spent more time trying to rebuild than fight, admittedly, and this was just proving her strong lack of battle skill.

It was pissing her off. Mostly, at herself, but partly at this senshi that had, well, attacked, out of the blue, for no bloody good reason, and trhe page grit her teeth, wincing at the low dull throb from smacking her head while landing without doing any major damage.

Was this a repeat of that Lieutenant? Because if this senshi was going to keep coming, Cordoba needed to change up her game plan. Close range was a bad idea it seemed. Her weapon was... A major pain, but serviceable, so what was there?

....

Ah, yes. The thing she wasn't keen on doing, but giving she was seriously aching and in no mood to die, the page rose, andraised her weapon, taking a deep breath before deciding to do the one thing she avoided.

She was stuck cheating, aiming for weak points, and risking killing someone. Not that she wanted to!...

But, well, fear was kicking in, and she buried it was a scowl as she flung the discus-recoird for the senshi angrily.Maybe she'd hit a painful opint?...Eh, who knew. She was tired of these guys trying to kill her.

There was a small swell of pride that nearly got the better of her when her kick connected and the page went down. Hydra was a small thing, only rising to about five feet and three inches in height but she was determined to be stronger than her size made her appear and now--

All of the brutal training was paying off.

She walked forward, chest heaving slightly from exertion and her foot was raised, poised to come down harshly on the page's chest. The disc cuffed her in the jaw and she stumbled back, a low hiss of pain escaping her.

Staggering back her hands lifted again. She still had magic and she wasn't afraid to use it. Around them the ground rumbled.

Hydra spreads her arms open and there is a low rumbling/vibration beneath her feet and water rises before her reaching a height of 8ft pushing forward and slamming down on her opponent. Hydra must allow time for the wave to rise before she releases it otherwise it will not be as effective. It takes approximately 20 seconds for the wave to reach full height.

If they are within 5ft of her, they will experience mild vibrations. If hit, the person feels as though they drenched in water for at least one minute. The wave does not discriminate between allies and enemies, everyone is collateral damage.

Usage: 3
Mechanics: Hydra summons the wave in one post, attacks in the next. She can be interrupted in the middle of summoning and either the wave fails completely or is released with less potency.

This works! Cordy's definately gotta get training.

Oh not again. This senshi really was going to kill her, wasn't she?

Cordoba growled slowly, beginning to force herself to her feet. She couldn't block again, and she was heaving to catch her breath, but she wasn't letting some other tiny girl make her look bad.

...Or, well, maybe. Cordoba wasn't the biggest either really -- and she soon tucked into a sloppy forwards roll, trying to get behind the senshi. She felt stronger than Cordoba's aura, which wasn't helping, but she was most certainly not giving up. But when she got home? Hot bath. If she made it.

Hopefully.

Clumsily Hydra stepped backward, the wave launching forward as her opponent tucked and rolled.

Ugh, she really hated how long this wave took to rise.

Her heel caught on her hair and she tumbled backwards, making Cordoba's attempts futile because she had landed further away than she had expect. "Oh for the love of--" She cut off, scrambling to her feet and tossing her hair back before she turned looking for the page.

"Where did you--"

"Hey!" A masculine voice called from around them and Hydra could feel an aura as strong as her own eclipsing both of theirs.

That wasn't fair.

"Pick on someone on your own level," a gruff voice barked, coming into her line of vision.

Oh heck n--

Cordoba rolled, slowly trying to get up again. She ached, she was frustrated -- she wasn't risking this corrupt FALLING on her. Physical contact was too dangerous. The page groaned, then blinked at another aura. For half a second, she panicked -- then calmed. Order? Order! Oh thank god, someone was here, and the page sighed.

"Understatement...." She whispered painfully.

Golden sandals carried a tall, darker skinned senshi who's fuku resembled more of a toga than that traditional bodice look. Gray eyes were narrowed into a glare as he stomped forward, muscles rippling when he clenched hands into fists and let his jaw tick in irritation.

Hydra was standing there, her own fingers clenched into gloved fists while she tried to weigh her odds. The page was so close if she wanted she could reach in and--

No.

The mere thought had her shivering. She had done that once and she had sworn never again unless it was life or death. She should have kept fighting but...she was tired and irritated that once again when she was on the cusp of victory someone had to intervene.

Obsidian would be unhappy if she didn't keep going but...

She thought of Bob and Reven and Akio back home.

With a huff Hydra teleported away.

Icarus on the other hand had no such fancy abilities and crossed the space between himself and the page on the ground. Kneeling by her side, he offered her his arm. "Can you stand?" He didn't care about her, not technically, but he was trying to be a better superhero or whatever because the more he did, the less likely it was that Ellis would ever have to use that ******** pen.

She was gone. Oh, thank everything holy she wasn't resorting to biting. The page reached, accepting Icarus' arm gratefully as finally she fumbled to her feet, rubbing her head as, for several moments, she considered her answer.

"Should live." She said, half-joking. She ached like mad, but she'd live -- she knew that.

"I think mostly bruises. Not exactly great at this physical combat thing." She admitted, then grinned a bit to Icarus.

"I do owe you huge, though. If there's any wayI can repayyou -- powered or not - that I can do... Yanno, painting, get you music for a shindig, backup, or something, let me know..."

Fighting? Likely less likely but she's do it... But music? Arts? Petty revenge pranks? Of course she was willing.. He had just saved her.
