Lace's time was mostly devoted to the care and growth of Jericho and herself in the negaverse, but that didn't mean the kitten was specifically tied down to the captain. While he was her preferred choice of a companion (and her roommate and someone she loved with all of her little itty bitty kitten heart), Lace had other senshi and things to check in with!
One in particular was the most pretty, most special, most sweet corrupt senshi of the negaverse. A one Dia, senshi of candy. Though Lace was hoping to catch the corrupt in her civilian form in the sweet shop she originally met the woman in, especially now that it was getting close to closing.
She bounced outside the shop before jumping up to a perch on the window and looking inside, small paws touching on the glass with her face pressed against it.
"Miss pretty lady!" Lace meowed, looking for Priscilla but not seeing her. "Maybe she's not here?"

Miss Prissy had promised Theodore that they would go patrol after work. He had forced that stupid spiky haired man who slept with his senshi to deliver him to the Sugar Cube approximately twenty minutes before Miss Prissy's shift was supposed to end. Or, at least, he thought it was about twenty minutes too.
His little cat paws were too small for a watch.
The only true benefit to having stinky, jerky Chase- who was mean and not good enough for his lady - drop him off was that the man had fixed his bowtie and made sure his little tophat was secure on his head. Now, he didn't seem pleased about having to do such a thing but they both knew that Miss Prissy would chew him out if he left Theodore here in a disheveled mess.
Pink dipped paws padded over to where the entrance to the cafe was only to see a cat pressing up against the window sill. Immediately his hair stood on end and he was prepare to hiss.
Was that Silk?
What was he doing there?
Theodore thought that cat was back home, occupying stinky Chase's bed.
"Who are you looking for?" He asked curtly, chin held high as he trotted over to her.

Lace had been ignoring car sounds and general people walking by,
mostly because she blended well with shadows beyond her poofed out collar.
She thought she had been doing well until a much more stern voice called out to her and she jumped, her back arching.
"Pa...pardon!?!" She looked over the edge, at the other cat with his top hat and bowtie. Clearly another chaos guardian, and one a bit older then herself. Since their was a corrupt senshi, she wasn't suprised that there would be other cats.
After all, thankfully, it wasn't Silk. Since Silk always liked to attack her and drag her ribbon around and be a mean twin cat anyways....
"I was...I was looking for a friend...her...her name is Miss Priscilla!" Lace stuttered, burying her face a bit in her fluff.

It was the voice that gave away the fact that this cat was not, thankfully, that nasty bugger that somehow weaseled his way into stinky Chase's best graces. What the man saw in that rat instead of him perfect and adorable Theodore he would never understand. (Then again, he didn't understand what Miss Prissy saw in the man either.)
Pink eyes peered up at her, little chin lifting just enough to look at her without disrupting his perfectly placed hat.
"What business do you have with Miss Prissy?" He asked, more curtly than he meant but he couldn't help it. Miss Prissy was his senshi. If this little cat thought she could steal her from him she was in for a fight!
"She's wonderful isn't she?" He also asked, because he needed to know what her intent was.

Lace wasn't sure who this cat was, but he must've met Silk because he was looking at her with disdain she was pretty sure she didn't earn, because she had never met the cat herself!
"Miss Priscilla!" the small kitten squeaked as he asked her rudely, "is...is my friend...." She repeated before rubbing her paws together. "She...she told me I could come whenever...whenever I wanted!" The kitten said a little bit more forcibly.
"She is the best though!" Lace agreed quickly and then flushed, "She...She gives me sweets, because we...we both like them!" She waited, "Do you...do you come to share sweets with her too?"Nuxaz It doesn't even occur to her to have senshi be owned by cats and vice versa lmfao

Theodore could tell that he was older than this black cat with nice fluff around her neck and that meant he was better than her. He held himself as such, a perfect picture of cat poise.
Pink eyes were narrowed in suspicion, surely Miss Prissy would tell him if she welcomed another mauvian to visit her whenever they pleased. In fact, he was a bit hurt that she hadn't.
He tried not to let his ears droop too much at that thought.
Instead, Theodore focused on miss small cat instead. "Miss Prissy is the best." The absolute best. "I am her guardian," he puffed proudly like it was his greatest accomplishment.
(It was.)

Lace was beginning to feel like this cat didn't like her all that much,
and maybe it was because she was friends with Prissy and Dia!
"Well, but Jericho is the best too! I have a lot of nice friends!" Lace frowned a bit,
her ears dropping all the way down. "I...Aren't we...Aren't we all guardians to them?"
She stopped, cause she didn't understand, "I am also her guardian....a...aren't I?"
Right?

"No one is better that Miss Prissy," Theodore responded as coyly as he could. He didn't know who stinky Jericho was but he couldn't possibly be better than cotton candy haired and beautiful Priscilla.
"Well, yeah," he replied, giving Lace a look that implied he didn't know if she was being serious or not.
"The bond between Miss Prissy and I is different." Duh. "She's my senshi. She might like you but she's mine." He seemed very proud of that fact. "Your senshi is out there somewhere probably." If she was even a bonded cat. Not all Maus were from what he could tell.

Well that couldn't be true! Prissy was amazing but there was plenty of people who were equally amazing! She had the clover dark mirror senshi too!
Saad was really nice and sweet and she liked her just as she liked Dia. And Jericho...Jericho was amazing! Such a good boy and he liked her and they sometimes shared bed when she was scared and he didn't even yell at her!
"Why is it d...different?" The small kitten was so confused by the idea that people could be owned by cats! She didn't understand the idea of cats owning humans,
much less senshi they were suppose to help!
"I don't understand! Does this mean I can't be friends with Dia?"

The first thing he wanted to do was point out the fact that he and Dia matched which was just one of the many signs that they were a perfect match for each other. Wonderful, beautiful, amazing Sailor Dia and her loyal guardian cat Theodore. One perfectly matched sweet candied pair.
"I don't expect you to understand," he answered haughtily, little shoulders shifting as he adjusted his paws when he plopped his bum down. "I happened to have a senshi to which I could feel the ever rightful bond with. We're linked you see." Thedore spoke confidently and ignored the fact that he did not know how to properly explain the bond.
"No, Miss Prissy," he hissed to remind his cat companion that they were in public and needed to be careful about the names they were using, "is free to be friends with anyone. It simply means that she does not need another guardian to assist her with things, she has me."

I mean beyond the hat, Lace wouldn't know how Theo matched Dia.
They were all cats and she didn't match Seraphanite after all. She was just well...a cat. She matched Silk! Cause they were twins.
"H...How come?!?!" Lace huffed herself, clearly frustrated that Theo couldn't explain the bond. If they were both friends with Dia, then how come they both couldn't be her guardian? "I don't understand this bond? We can bond? Does that mean I can bond to Sera? Can I bond to anyone?" She started to pace nervously in the window, her tail flicking back and forth. "Wh...Why can't two cats bond to one senshi? How come?" yellow eyes looked down on Theo, curious and needing answers.
"What...what if she wants another one?" Lace laid down, "We all want to protect the senshi, don't we? What if you want another senshi?"

Theodore didn't seem to care that Lace was growing upset or that she didn't understand. There wasn't much to understand because it was all instinctual. "I don't know who this Sera is but if he's not a senshi, then no." Cats were here for senshi not agents or whatever they were called on the other side.
Little cat shoulders shrugged.
"Because they don't need two, just one." And Dia's one was him. "Miss Prissy doesn't want another one. She has me." He was offended that she could even suggest such a terrible, terrible thing.
"Preposterous! I would never want anyone but her. She's perfect." He turned his nose up at her like he couldn't believe she would suggest such a thing.

"But I want to bond to Sera!" Lace frowned, and then stopped her pacing. Theodore had quite the attitude about bonding and she wondered now if that meant that Dia wouldn't need her anymore.
Maybe she was just a trouble to the senshi. Maybe Dia didn't want to be friends cause now she had Theodore and he said they didn't need two cats!
"oh."
Tears started to form in the kittens eyes, at the idea now that Dia wouldn't want to have two guardian cats.

"I don't know what to tell you," Theodore huffed, nose still lifted high in the air. "Why would you want to bond to him anyway? He's not a senshi, he can't be that great." Agents were just a means to get things done as far as the mauvian was concerned.
That's all jerky Chase was good for.
Lace started to cry and Theodore didn't know what to do. Very, very slowly his paw lifted to cover his maw.
"W-why are you crying?"

"Because...Because Sera is nice! and...and he gives me treats and he made...made me a room in his room!" Lace burrowed her face in her fluff, "If..If I can't bond to him....that's stupid!" She hiccuped a little, "Sera is...is just as good as a senshi...." At least she'd like to think so, but all of the nega's had mostly been good to her!
"B...because...." she hiccuped another sob out, "I don't want....to be Dia's cat too.....or Sera's...." The kitten now devolved into a small ball of tears.
