This is a post log between Sabra and I conducted on Slack between Yunan and Sezarra.

Yunan Post 1

Yunan pulled at the sleeve of his silk robe in frustration. While the material was beautiful with blues that formed patterns of cascading waves and almost felt like true water on his skin due to its high quality the full attire was still more than he was accustomed to wearing. In Zena certainly he would wear layers of leathers and furs, but in Matori the man had been spoiled by not needing such outfits. He secretly preferred the wind brushing against his skin, how the sea breeze bit into him and caressed him like a lover's touch, but for festive occasions his aunt insisted upon him wearing something more traditional. Traditional to Oba perhaps. Then again what was he to expect? Despite being free for over a decade now the land still held an overwhelming influence by Oba. The silk robes decorated with various patterns that passed around him with their rope belts attested to that. Yunan's lips pressed into a fine line of frustration before he found himself suddenly switching to a small, kinder expression. "Ah, Yui and Meikhan." The hybrid nodded his head at an Oban pair of siblings dressed in even finer silks than his. They along with several others were connections from families that knew his aunt and her work. These were the ones that got to see Yunan in a more pleasant manner because through them came even more connections. Connections in these lands were essential to power and wealth, both things that Yunan took much interest in. So for tonight the boy was determined to be the perfect host to these summer tourists. "How do you enjoy the festival for On'os?" Yunan offered a warm smile to the group, "I know Setal is not as impressive as your capital, but we are praised for holding some fine festivals." The hybrid grinned before gesturing forward, "There's food and performances if you would like..." His voice trailed off as the smallest of the group tugged at his robes sweetly, "Yes?" Please don't ruin my outfit, child. But he took a deep breath and kept calm as he allowed the girl to lead him towards where other booths were set up with games."Play, play! Win?" She chimed as she pointed to one of the grand prizes.As Yunan glanced over it he finally nodded, "I don't know if I-""Don't be worried, Yunan! We'll all play!" "Yeah, yeah! It's a festival let's have fun~"Smiling Yunan nodded before taking up some wooden rings. He just had to throw them over the spikes in the ground and get the ones painted yellow for the most points. Pursing his lips the boy took aim and then slowly began to toss out the rings. After a few successful hits and cheers he soon had the group crowding around him with a few strangers as they cheered him on, "Go, go!"

Eventually Yunan got enough points and after handing over tokens reached up to grab at the small wooden top painted in bright yellows and blues to give to the small Oban girl, "There. I hope that is a good prize?"
Smiling she nodded before reaching out to hug him and then nab the toy so that she could go show it off to others in the group. Yunan could only smile slightly as he watched. So far so good for being a host tonight. What could possibly go wrong? The festival was beautiful and he was holding up well despite some minor irritations. With that in mind Yunan decided that it was going to be a great night tonight. (end)

Sezarra Post 1

Sezarra was strolling through the events, she had not been expecting such festivities in Matori for some reason. It seemed like such a zen place to have a festival. Valdor trailed along behind her. She had sent most of her other familiars home and given Reinriel away to Arron. She was the only thing she could give the boy, she didn't need two hulking janarim, and she would never be separated from Valdor again. She bit her lip trying not to let that forbidden emotion cloud her face. Today was not the day to think about him. He was gone. She was here. She noticed a large group of Obans nearby and waved at them cheerily before passing through, there were some her age over there, one or two were kind of cute too. She winked and continued to the food stall. She was hungry so was her pet...if his rumbling stomach could be believed. To be sure he wasn't really a pet more like a brother from a different species.
Fooood. She selected some of her favorite fish delicacies, she had become obsessed with a certain subsection of Matorian food that was fish and rice in little balls. She was reasonably sure she could live off it.She munched fed Valdor then perched on top of his large frame to people watch. She was having a very good day and she was very relaxed.

Yunan Post 2


Yunan rose a brow as some of his companions continued to make eyes at various women who crossed their way. Still the boy managed to keep a small smile on his features as he wandered with the group through the food stalls. While one of the boys made a whistle in a general direction Yunan couldn't help but to glance that way. Of course when he did see a familiar shifter the boy could only hide his groan before turning on his heel and trying to veer the group away. Even if it wasn't the girl from the cavern he refused to take the chance considering their last encounter. That was the last thing he needed to deal with tonight as a host, "Some rice cakes?" Offered the apprentice to one of the Oban girls who took it with a smile, "They're one of my favorite foods here along with the rice balls." Such things that he had been heading towards until he saw his dreaded roadblock. Sighing, Yunan instead allowed one of the younger ones to lead him back towards the games. "Yunan show us again! Play a game!" The little girl beamed up towards him, "Please?"Yunan could only smile before nodding his head, "Certainly." And with that he reached over with some tokens so that he could begin a game of darts.

Sezarra Post 2

Sezarra too was working her way through the stalls with all of the various games lined up. She was really enjoying herself now. Before she knew it she was all lined up for a game of darts, next to some hybrid and the same bunch of Obans, she was more focused on the game then anything else, she tossed a few missing so far then noticed her erstwhile competitor was doing rather well...then she looked at his face for the first time. "YOU." She choked. Valdor grumbled behind her. She shook her head. "Your looking well, these your tourists?"

Yunan Post 3

Yunan had been so concentrated on aiming his darts that he hadn't even realized that someone all too familiar had approached him. So when the voice reached his ears the boy at first simply frowned and shrugged it off. Surely they weren't speaking to him as he was too busy winning at the games. But then as they lingered and more words were coming his way Yunan raised a brow and finally glanced over in curiosity. Who would be addressing him like this out of no where? Of course as he recognized the shifter the male's expression instantly soured, "Guests, yes. Not that it concerns you so my advice would be to continue doing whatever it was you were doing before butting into my business once mroe." The hybrid shrugged his shoulders as he attempted to move around her to claim his prize."You know her Yunan?" One of the boys grinned, "I see no harm in having another friend added to our group, right?" He winked towards Sezarra, "We're just playing games after all and it is a public space."Yunan could only stifle a sigh before slowly nodding, "It is a public space so I have no control, but we have an agenda and should stick with it.""Yes, yes." The Oban male rolled his gaze before smiling towards Sezarra, "Don't mind him, he's a stickler for rules and keeping on time. Feel free to walk with us if you want....we should do the fishing game next, okay?" A cheer went up from the group as they headed on their way.

Seze post 3

Seze gave the snubby ice water hybrid her best HAH stare in the coolest way possible. She threaded her arm through the spunky Obans, "Why thank you dear? What was your name exactly?" Maybe today's outing would get her a date after all. She grinned up at her saviour, she could ham it up when need be, and today there be need.
Ohh fishing actually sounded really fun! She perked up and walked with the others, half of her mind still steaming at her old aquaintance, who did he think he was anyway?! It lit a fire but probably not the right kind of fire for one so handsome, she kinda wanted to be able to use fire magic to burn his tush, and she didn't even like magic all that much.

Yunan Post 4

What sort of woman acted like such a child? Yunan suppressed his own urge to make a face back at her before turning his gaze away. The less he looked at her the more he could just try to ignore her. At least that was his hope. Honestly the hybrid wasn't quite certain why the woman ruffled his feathers so, but there was just something aggravating about her. The reckless spirit perhaps? It was something that just jarred against his usually calm and calculated approach to life. The oban smiled at the shifter, "Kia, you can call me that since my other name is far too uncomfortable. We're in a casual environment anyways." He grinned towards Yunan, "Right Yu?" The hybrid forced a nod before going on. As he handed tokens over to the vendor the hybrid glanced back towards the shifter with a sigh, "Are you playing as well?" He supposed he could give over some coin for the woman's chance at the game since she was now in their group. The last thing he wanted was for his discomfort with the shifter here to ruin the night for the rest. I must be a good host after all. As he handed over another token Yunan pushed back his sleeves as the merchant explained the game. A delicate net with thin paper on the inside would be given to each of them and it was up to them to manage to scoop up fish. Whatever you caught you could keep if wanted or cash in for another prize. Seemed easy enough.

Sezarra Post 4

"In that case call me Seze, Kia." She said in liquid tones, really liking this new male with such a seemingly different attitude then the icefish. She felt a little bad for calling him that in her head but well he annoyed her. Her eyebrows rose as he offered her some coin for the game, well she would be darned. "Yes please I would like to play."

The fish were also really cute, little scaley menk swirled around in the tank, pensively flipping a fin here and there to change directions. Watching them was one of the most calming things she had ever experienced. She held onto that moment of zen not wanting to forget it as she surveyed them with yellow eyes. There was a white and red one over there that looked really fun. Maybe she would try for that one.

Yunan Post 5

"Will do." Kia smirked as he followed along with the rest of the group. Yunan could barely hold back from rolling his eyes, but the hybrid managed to keep a calm face. Not his fault that the shifter was all over one of the most well known players of the noble class. It also was none of his concern what happened with her, he just had to play nice and keep the facade of friendliness for those present today. That way his aunt's business could deepen its connections with these people.He did stare a moment as the girl did study the fish. When she was quiet and studious looking she could be rather appealing to look at. Yunan's gaze darted away at the thought. He was not about to study some shifter as if she were attractive. What he needed to study were the fish before him. As a white and red menk swam around the tank his gaze also followed it. He could go for that one, it seemed nice enough. Taking his net out the hybrid pushed back his sleeves once more before beginning to fish.

Seze Post 5
Seze preparred her net rehearsing the speed she knew she would need. These little fish were easy to catch...when they were in a jar. She knew from experience that they were a little harder to catch in a pond or in this case a tub. Fast, wiley but harmless. She loved menk. Beautiful abd useful as companions. Hardy, sturdy and wild what wasnt there to love about them. Her gaze drifted up for a moment to see Yunan eyeing her fish...over her dead body. She would show him who the beast tamer was. She pretended to look now at a large dark blue character. Solid little fellow too. He was beautiful but not the one she wanted. She dunked her net and watched them scatter. So this was how the game worked. She sunk her net and waited for someone else to put theirs in so she could scoop upwards.

Yunan Post 6

Yunan's gaze followed the menk with determination and he was almost ready to scoop up the creature when chaos ensued. The hybrid's expression shifted into frustration as his net uselessly floated in the water near Seze's own. Really? Stifling a sigh of frustration the hybrid rotated his net so that he was away from her. Now where did that menk go? Ah, as he saw it the hybrid began to focus in on it again waiting patiently for the little fish to swim towards him.

Seze Post 6

Seze turned slitted eyes toward Yunan, the wee bugger was after her fish..the question was should she let him have it? Och, she would let the fish decide who it wanted. She shifted away from him closer to the hot Oban. She bet he would give her a bright hot run for her money. Maybe she would get a child out of it so she wouldnt be alone. The world was so gray without Bar in it.

She watched the fish switch direction twice staring at it like it held all happiness. Then the little b*****d went right for the net of Yunan.

Yunan Post 7

The Oban boy was paying good attention as the shifter moved closer. Yunan, on the other hand, seemed far uninterested in the shifter girl and was focused instead on scooping said fish into his net. Though as he got closer to the fish and his gaze did catch sight of his friend's hand suddenly moving the hybrid darted his own arm forward after the fish with a splash that hit the boy's arm and caused him to take a step back, "Yunan careful." He pursed his lips as he took a few steps away from Seze and brushed the water from his silks."Sorry, my hand must have slipped in my excitement." Yunan flashed a small smile before darting in towards the fish again, "I thought you wanted to fish, but seems like you're not even good enough at fishing. What a beast tamer." He taunted quietly under his breath while glancing towards Seze for the briefest of moments with an icy gaze. Perhaps if he taunted her the woman would stop trying to flirt with the notorious playboy and actually focus on the game. Yunan wasn't certain why he got so irritated at seeing them scooting close like that, but at the same time it was a rational decision. Who wanted to ruin relations by allowing the oban to do another fling in Matori while his noble parents attempted to marry him to another rich family for good relations? If he could keep his friend out of trouble then surely that would benefit him. What good could a crazy shifter like that do for anyone save invite in a few beasts to their home?

Seze Post 7

Well that did it , Seze lurched and scooped the target fish offering it to Yunan. "I had been playing fair but if you insist YOU can have it." She dumped the sparkly fish right in front of his flacid net and stomped off. The gall of that boy, soninsufferable be might ruin her chances of getting pretty babies one day. Her heart was long dead so what was left for her but to love a child born of herself?! THIS was why she should movr into the forest alone. To tame things and live a lone loner life free if pain and frustration.
