The end of Summer was always a nice time of the year. The weather was just the right balance of hot and cool, the evenings were the perfect length, and there was something about work that passed by quicker. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she wasn't dreading going home to schoolwork. Her shift at the bakery ended without incident and she was waving goodbye to her manager in what felt like the blink of an eye.

Now, she could still head home anywhere, but where was the fun in that? It's not like there was anyone waiting for her at the apartment, aside from a few houseplants. A book was nestled in her bag, maybe she'd go to the park and with what little light she had left she could read for a bit? She always liked being outdoors, whenever she had the chance she took it. It was only a little bit out of the way too, she'd be back home before it got too late.

It wasn't long before she found herself walking into the park, the lights along the walk ways were on, but the people had thinned out quite a bit. She had her pick of park benches and found one next to a rather large tree. Plenty of light to read by for now. She settled into the corner of the bench and pulled her book out of her bag. For now, she could be at peace out in nature and reading a good novel about witches and magical places.

While he had no problem hanging out and going on patrol with others, in fact it was something he greatly enjoyed seeing how as a cat he wasn't very useful other then sounding the alarm if there was trouble! But sometimes he needed to go forth and wander around on his own, most of the time that was when Senshi's in need of awakened tend to show up anyway.

For now he found himself wandering through the sidewalks, avoiding being stepped on, keeping clear of street unless he needed to cross one and even then he made sure to wait for it to be completely clear. What he couldn't as easily avoid at times though was the dog walkers. Sure some dogs just wanted to sniff him and say hello and those he didn't mind! It was the ones who had dogs who wanted to chase him that were the hardest to keep clear of though.

He had spotted one coming down the sidewalk in front of him, one he knew was a dog that would love the chance to chase him as it had done so before, and had very quickly made a detour across the empty street and into the park. The Guardian dashed into a bush and peeked out to double check the dog hadn't spotted him and ripped the leash out of their owner's hands, again, but thankfully it seemed that the mutt had been distracted well enough at the time of his crossing.

That done, he just moved farther into the park, tail flicking a bit behind him as he watched anyone that crossed his path, not feeling drawn or danger from any of them just yet. Things changed though when Hania reached one of the larger trees in the park and found a very, very pretty young woman sitting there reading. He paused there for a moment, glad he wasn't in his humaniod form yet since he probably would be blushing at just watching her for minute or two, then moved closer. That familiar pull told him he was needed and her pretty face was not something he was going to just deny.

The black cat gracefully jumped up onto the bench and lightly touched the young woman's arm with his nose in greeting.

Lulu was getting quite close to a climax in her book, one that she knew was both exciting and sad. She was so focused on it, that she didn't even notice the cat when it first jumped onto the bench. It really was a great book, but maybe she should have saved the more sad parts for when she was at home and could cry without random park strangers judging her. She was shaken from her book though when she felt something cold and wet touch her arm.

At first she thought maybe it was starting to rain or something, but when she looked down she saw the cutest black cat she had ever seen. "Well, hi there cutie! What are you doing out here?" It didn't look like a stray, not with the cute, yet slightly odd, collar it was wearing. She reached out her hand slowly at first, not wanting to startle him. When he didn't seem to have a problem with her at all, she gave him a little pat on his head and behind one of his ears.

Yep, he was very glad that he couldn't blush at a time like this. Thoughts like that came to mind when she called him cute and had the most adorable voice he had ever heard. Hania was about to answer her when she reached to pet him so waited until she did so before actually speaking up. "Well Miss, I'm here because you're adorable self has the potential to become a magical girl." He said, after his eyes darted away just long enough to check there was no one else nearby to hear him talk.

The Mauvian kept still, made sure he had a friendly look about him, and purred in hopes that him talking wouldn't make the pretty woman freak out. He really, really didn't want to make her afraid for mow then one reason after all.

Lulu was about to just start gushing to the adorable, big cat in her best 'baby voice' when all of the sudden it replied to her. Not with a purr that she was expecting, or the lovable brush of it's adorable little paw pads. Not in any way a cat had ever talked to her before. Human words. "Haha...I've been reading too much lately. I haven't had enough sleep obviously. Maybe I've just wanted someone to talk to me for so long, that my mind's playing tricks on me." She wasn't exactly the most popular person in the world, nor did she do much to change that. She was happy to be a wallflower, or so she thought. Than her mind made her think a cat was talking to her. So maybe not everything was as okay as she thought.

Calming she folded her book closed and placed it in her lap. Glancing around, she was looking for any other park goers, but for now it seemed like they were alone. She didn't want anyone to see her talking to a cat and thinking she was crazy or something.

For the time being she looked at least interested. Not scared, it not like he had come up to her and threatened her or anything. What was a cat going to do to her anyway? She gave him a skeptical look, trying to figure out if this was maybe actually all just a dream. "And what...exactly, does it mean to become a magical girl?" Of all things a talking cat could bring up, magical girls? She knew weird things happened in her City from time to time, but she liked to think there were practical, realistic things behind them.

Well on the bright side she wasn't freaking out, on the down side she didn't seem to be completely taking this seriously. At least not yet for both things. "I can assure you my dear that his isn't a dream, daydream or an illusion your mind came up with." He said and carefully brushed his front right paw against her arm to try and reassure her. Of course there were no hint of claws in that, that would have defeated the purpose after all.

"There are a lot of things that being a magical girl means, but first and foremost it is something that you have the right to have." He straightened up and with a twisty wave of his paw and a delicate looking pen appeared between them on the bench.

"It means you have a destiny, it means friendships, heartbreak, safety and danger. It means acceptance and rejection but you would never be alone though it as there will be people who would be willing to help you." It wasn't what he had originally meant to say but something in him had pushed those words out. "Of course even with all of that you have a choice. Once you have the pen you don't have to use it, you don't have to ever follow the path that is put before you, but if you do then adventure awaits filled with everything I said before and more."

He tilted his head and stared into her eyes with a serious but hopeful look and a soft purr. "Though if you do decide to not use your gifts then I do hope we could still get to know one another."

The black cat continued to talk to her. Though, with the soft touch of his paw she was assured that this wasn't a dream. That this was really happening. She was sitting in her usual spot in one of her favorite parks and actually talking to a cat. Well, he probably wasn't just a cat. There had to be more to him since he was speaking to her.

"I don't know why you're talking to me of all people..." Lulu was hesitant. She definitely wasn't anything special. Her life wasn't extraordinary and there certainly wasn't anything destined for her. At least, she had never believed there was. Her existence was just that, existing. But, when she saw the pen that now magically appeared between them, she was certainly drawn to it. It was pink and delicate as she held it in her hand examining it.

The 'cat' continued to explain things to her, that there was adventure and danger ahead of her. That was the only part that worried her. The 'danger' part. But she'd been living her life so idly for so long, the thought of something new and challenging was appealing.

She rolled her eyes just slightly at the black cat. Like he'd really want anything to do with her if she chose not to accept this 'destiny' of hers. "You're saying if I walked away now, not believing a single word you just said, that would be okay? You'd still like to be...friends?" What use would she be to him then? She was just some culinary student. There was no value to her the way she was.

Hania had paused slightly at her words but then tilted his head and gave her a cat smile. "Because one, it is something that it part of your soul and bound to you.." After saying that he put the same paw as before on her arm and left it there. "And because even though I just met you I can already tell you are an amazing person." He hoped she would take heart of his words as her own sounded like a let out of her self and he just, couldn't stand the thought of that.

He did however give a laugh at her eye roll and gave his own grin right back. "Yes. You could walk away right now and never use your pen to transform and I would still like to get to know you. " Hania was even being honest to that point. Sure he would love it if she would use it for multiple reasons, including giving her a way to protect herself but he wouldn't take that choice from her.

There was just something about her that drew him in and it wasn't just that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

Lulu had to admit that, with the pen in her hand, she really already felt different. It was a drawn to her and she was to it, the curiosity alone was enough to keep her from denying it. His words were very encouraging, but for all she knew he'd been through this before. He was being very sweet though and that was when it suddenly dawned on her that she had no idea who he actually was.

"Okay, well....I have some...conditions. Well, really just one. I can't keep thinking of you as just some talking, black cat. What's your name?" Because, he had to have a name right? She wasn't sure if he had a home and a loving human companion of some kind. He just might. But he could be something else as well. "And just to be fair, my friend call me Lulu." She could have fully introduced herself, but she didn't much care for the stuffy 'Lola' she was called at home.

"Oh...and also..." Though she had received the pen, she had no idea how it worked or what to expect. "How does this work?" She held the pink pen up between them, waiting for an answer so she could begin her new life.
